Should you start a Facebook group? Is it the next right place for you to be? I am sharing all about Facebook groups on today’s episode! I share the potential of Facebook groups for brands, businesses, and content creators.
Over the past few years, Facebook has been focusing on building communities. This is why you are seeing more Facebook groups showing up in your feed more than posts from people that you follow. Facebook groups allow for deeper conversations and engagement with your audience. It allows you to really engage with your audience on a more personal level, get feedback, and generate content ideas.
I share about the different types of Facebook groups such as business Facebook groups, interest-based Facebook groups, and local community Facebook groups. I share how each of these can really help foster that sense of community and build that like, know, and trust factor with an audience.
Something I want you to consider when it comes to your Facebook group is managing spam filters and moderation. Regularly check your spam filters to make sure that legitimate comments are not being blocked and make sure that your trusted moderators know your rules for the group to make sure that appropriate engagement is happening.
It’s important to keep consistent engagement within your group. If you have been inactive for a while and your group is shifting, make sure you are transparent with your group members and tell them share with them how the group is shifting and how you would love them to stay but understand if the content shift isn’t for them.
Focus on attracting new members and fostering a community where regular posts and conversations are happening. Having a clear purpose and guidelines for the group, as well as making sure that the group is searchable and specific (and not too long), can really attract your right audience.
Make sure that you are creating engaging content such as polls and Q&A sessions to keep the group active and interesting. Promote the group on other platforms to attract new members as well!
As I prepare to relaunch my own Facebook group, I want you to consider if a Facebook group could be beneficial to your business or brand. It’s a powerful tool for building community, engaging with your audience, and promoting your products or services.
Let me know the name of your Facebook group or whether you are thinking of starting one in a DM on Instagram: @iamalicianoelle
