Do you feel that mindset matters when it comes to managing Type 1 Diabetes? I know I do!
Joining me today is Raquel Baron, owner of Type One Together, a company that provides products and resources for Type 1 Diabetic children and their superhero caregivers. Raquel has been a T1D for the past 19 years, diagnosed when she was just 5 years old. She has made it her life's mission to bring hope and positivity to children and their caregivers who are managing such a heavy disease.
In episode #34 Raquel and I discuss how the way we perceive type 1 makes a huge difference in the way we approach diabetes management. We also chat about overcoming the fear of insulin, the fear of leaving you T1D in the hands of someone else like a baby sitter or teacher, taking care of ourselves as caregivers and not letting the CGM control our lives. This is a fantastic episode with loads of encouragement!
