Intro/Outro (00:01):
Let's drop the green flag on this episode of
the talent tank podcast withyour host Wyatt Pemberton
bringing you the best, fastest, most knowledgeable personalities
in ultra for and off roadracing. All right, all right.
All right, everybody.

Wyatt Pemberton (00:22):
Welcome back to the party. bench racing,
Sturgis, South Dakota Bike Week.
What's the name of this thingcalled the Black Hills throw
down at the buffalo chip. Andthat's a that's a $10 phrase.
Shannon, how you doing? Todd?
How you doing? How's everybodyelse out there? I saw terhune on
here. Some of the the partieshere. I am. Currently drag

(00:43):
racing all the way up. Justright now. Yeah, hold on. But I
know Justin wicks hit me up. Hewanted to make sure we got him
up on the panel. Anyone elsethat you know, repeat offender.
You like I see Nate Jesse upthere. Jeremy's on there. Well,
Mitch, sweet man, Mitch. How youdoing, man? Good to see you. Oh,

(01:05):
yeah. So here we go. We'll getinto this. Anyone that's
listening to this. Now as youknow, live is probably not going
to the race because tomorrow isgoing to be a busy day for those
guys. But there we go. I don'tknow what is this? This like the
fourth session? We've done likethis fifth? I don't know. I've
lost track. Definitely more thanfour. I'd say at this point. I

(01:26):
think they're, I don't know. Ikind of dread them. But then
when we do them. I'm like, God,that was so much fun. I had such
a blast.

Unknown (01:33):
I don't agree with that. I would agree with that.
Yeah, and honestly, this is theone of all of them this season.
This is the one that I'm havingthe most FOMO over I'm not gonna
lie. I'm having some seriousFOMO over this one.

Wyatt Pemberton (01:45):
When you get tagged I don't know if you were
tagged in but I got tagged inlike all the the motorcycle pics
like everyone that was haulingtheir their Harley's up with
them, you know, like theshipping company and I was like,
God, not that I need a Harley.
But yeah, I mean, you're talkingabout, like, what you're talking
about Sturgis. You're talkingabout the biggest bike rally in
the world. Looking at you know,I think the population of

(02:10):
Sturgis is like 6900 orsomething like that. It's it's a
pretty small number 6800 andthey're expecting attendance
somewhere between 700,000 and amillion people in that town this
week. How awesome is that?

Unknown (02:25):
I love it. I love it. I mean, I I'm involved with four
corners motorcycle rally, I'malready having envy in the sense
that the guy that I helped puton four corners motorcycle rally
in Durango with over Labor Daykeeps sending me pictures of
ultra for people with him andI'm like, hey, that's where my
people so it's like a crosssection now between what I've

(02:47):
done with motorcycle events andwith ultra for being there, and
you know, Kid Rock is playing onSunday, which is another thing
that I'm a little having alittle bit of FOMO over for
sure.

Wyatt Pemberton (02:57):
Yeah, I I don't know I so here's my thing is I
look at like, like what thisrace looks like, right? It's a
it's a West race. It's a Northrace and going through you know,
going it's trying to figure outwhere everyone kind of sits in
the points and like, Who's Whois this race important to
realize ultra for doesn't evenhave the North series points.

(03:17):
Like you can't even like sort byNorth Point. You can sort by
east or west. So I'm not sayingthat they've marginalize the
North series but you Bailey Cole140 400 up there. Which you
cinches first 4400 race when youWhen was that? I mean that was
June, early June late. I mean itseems like a long long time ago

(03:39):
when we had that Montana raceseems like a long time ago.
Properties car again. Right. Andthen my next thing that I was
looking for you know since then,we had Tennessee and we're gonna
talk about Tennessee for surethat was a nice race. But then
we also had the the mid Americadeal. The visions event at a Jay

(04:01):
Oklahoma at mid America offroad. Mid America offer. Yeah,
that's, that's now in thatplace. Absolutely amazing. But
when it comes to, you know, thefinishers or who pushed him I
know ultra for carrying toproduction, but outside of my
memory in which, you know, I'veslept about a couple times since
then, and had a lot of work inbetween now and then I forgot

(04:24):
everything about that. Exceptfor like, I know, I think Bailey
rolled I think chip rolled orYeah, I don't remember exactly
how it all went down. But Icouldn't find results for for
the race at all. And you know, how about how about knockout
racing, knocking out their rearaxle? race. Did you see those

(04:46):
pictures? No, I didn't see anyof that. I did. Oh, no kidding.
Really? Yeah, man. I saw I saw atrash truck knock the rear axles
out from underneath it the otherday. On the Beltway, down here
in Houston, laid the whole trashtruck up on its side and just
took all the axles out fromunderneath it. And I was like,
that is some impressive Carnagelike James can trail is the only

(05:10):
person who might not beimpressed with that. So as we
launch into this, I'm gonna Iwant to throw out to Jonathan
terhune real quick to him. Iknow you you've texted me about
this and I saw you finallyposted something on social media
about it might give you the micfor a second to talk about this
off roading deal that you'regoing to try to get everyone

(05:30):
back trail wheeling in themiddle America area. Give us the
411 on that. Oh,

Unknown (05:38):
nothing special just the weekend of the 10th through
12th. Basically a couple of ussaid we should go We'll and
actually we said we should goWe'll and about two years ago
and I finally got tired oftalking about it. So I just made
an event and invited the entireworld So anybody who wants to
join a couple of sub bringingsome old Willie's down there my
my 47 Willie CJ today with mejust getting back just to going

(06:04):
out on the trails with noschedule at all just having a
little bit of fun. It's a goodtime kind of in between races.
It's right after Crandon butthat's a little bit different
being a holiday weekend so goingto a blue collar off road park
so anybody that wants to joinit's strictly just a show up and
go trail riding but anybody'swelcome to join us we'll be

(06:26):
there for the weekend.

Wyatt Pemberton (06:27):
Well and I threw that to you because you
and I had a discussion justrecently about I don't know if
the right word is perspectivebut between right you know all
the races and all you know inwith inside racing we're we're
big guys you know we're adultsbut at the same time there's a
lot of drama and and sometimesthat drama can it can be
negative it can you knowwhirlwind and it can suck you

(06:48):
down and you know terriblevortex and you and I had a
discussion about getting back togetting perspective back and and
not letting the drama drag youdown and suck you in and
ultimately we know what happensit spits you out so that really
as you brought that up I thoughtabout Ryan Miller and in Bryan

(07:10):
crafts and then Adam shear allthe guys that had the you know
they're in the new the rightaround World War Two Willis you
know aficionados, I think, youknow, Ryan Miller knows more
about Willis's, then the wolf'sfactory but along those lines,
you brought your idea I thinkNate Jesse has a Willis now too,

(07:32):
and, and I start thinking aboutlike, Man, you guys, maybe you
guys got it right you guys sitback regain perspective and that
allows you to actually go harderwhen it actually does come back
come race time. And Iappreciated your insight on that
this week. Does that mean you'regoing to be joining us there?
Now I suck. I am so busy withwork I need to get I need to get

(07:52):
perspective on that. You knowthat's that's that's the other
problem. You know, as we sithere, I'm like a bunch of
excuses there, bro. It's aboutexcuses. Everybody's got him
just like assholes and man yougotta hold. He said it not me.
Well, as we kind of kind of getlaunched in here want to go back
and talk about a couple thingsthat we had races that were we

(08:15):
missed, you know, you heard thethe mid America offered. I want
to go there I'd like to seeultra for nationals end up there
at some point not that the WestCoast likes coming to Oklahoma.
But from what I saw there was alazy river that you can float
around in there was you know, nice bathrooms. I don't know
from everyone I talked to saidyou know that event in and of

(08:35):
itself being a week long eventand concerts every night. That
if we had nationals thereobviously wouldn't mirror that
or match that. But and obviouslythere's no way to make it
nationals be in July. So. Soodds are that it wouldn't be the
same type of atmosphere. Butthey did say it was you know, a
world renowned facility that youjust can't be like there's

(08:59):
nothing nothing remotely likeit. And And on that note, I'm
gonna kick it over to chipmcglothlin I think chip jumped
up here because he had someinsight on on Mau forest chip.
Hey, Wyatt, how are you sir?
Man, I'm here. Give us stuff.
Give us your rendition of howthe visions event went because I

(09:21):
remember before it even went offa year before it went off you
you were pushing it. You wereinside that inner circle. And
now that we have you know, we'vegot a few weeks under our belt
after it walk us through whatyou thought about the event how
it went off and and then how youdid?

Unknown (09:38):
Well. First off I sorry, I'm on here late. We're
unloading stuff here in Sturgis, but you know that vision work.
What they're doing. They're justoverall not even with ultra poor
but just as a park in itself, man. They knocked it out of the
park. It was eight nine daysworth of events every day. They
stretched it out where you canmake it around. Each one not get

(10:00):
tired. We kind of ended up the,you know, the latter part of the
week. we raced on Friday. Jcwent out there set up a really
cool, short course that they hadbeen using for the side by
sides. The jumps weren't reallygreat for, you know, the big
cars on it, but you know, wemanage them and then he put us a
mile in the woods. And, youknow, it was great practice for

(10:24):
us. You know, we're going tohere Sturgis this week, and then
we got granted in the month.
That's what we went out therefor but you know, the payout was
amazing. It was $10,000 forfirst place, 6000 per second,
and three for third and we camehome with second third. We might
have had first and second. Butyou know, things don't always go
to plan we've lost breaksgratinated five laps in. Zandi

(10:45):
actually smoked a motor didn'teven know the motor was blown.
So we got home. But everybodyraise clean, it was a lot of
fun. They had lazy rivers, theyhad AC DC tribute band out
there, they had all kinds ofdifferent bands out there. For
us to go to an event like that, you know, the payout was a lot
more than what we do with, youknow, like regional events with

(11:07):
ultra for not a knock onanybody. But it was worth going.
I was kind of surprised. Therewasn't more people that showed
up. But the track was amazing.
When it comes around next year.
It's gonna be way bigger. Theyhad, you know, trials and
tribulations of a first event.
And they're learning from it.
They took criticism, well, theyasked for feedback. And it's

(11:28):
just going to get bigger andbadder. And it's a cool deal.
And you know, JT and Alan and,you know, there was a whole lot
of Voltron for guys down thereworking the event. Like all the
events, were watching slingbreakout world record for the
longest mega truck jumped 225feet. I think it was just
amazing. It was it was actionall week and never got bored.

(11:50):
You got hot, you wouldn't gottenfull. And here's the poll early
$2 Yeah, they were cheap. Whenwe went there a year, you know,
right out a year ago, they werefree but you know, the
government came down and saidcan't get free beer. But yeah,
it was cheap. I mean, there wasvendor food vendors everywhere.
I mean, I've never been to apark like that. I mean, you go

(12:11):
break something a UTV and go tothe power store place and buy
whatever you need to get up andgoing again. So that would be
back.

Wyatt Pemberton (12:21):
Well don't go over chip because I want to talk
to you about cuz about yourstore just because you are boots
on the ground up there for oneof the guys that are logged in
logged on that is that is thereright now. So don't go anywhere.
Okay, hang with us. We'll do Allright. Well,

Unknown (12:34):
I do your guy had started that long thread in
talent tank insiders on on thatevent before it went off so as
somebody with an eventbackground and looking at what
they were undertaking I waswatching that pretty closely and
I've got to say hats off to themfor first year event. I had lots
of little birdies telling me allsorts of stuff about what was
happening out there and andoverall I mean for for what they

(12:59):
took on it was more than a 10ring circus and that is not easy
in the first year. And it soundslike they really they really
pulled off a lot sounds a littlebit like they might make it a
little bit tighter next year I'mhearing that maybe not eight or
nine days maybe more like fouror five days but I just because
I started that thread I did wantto just say hats off to those

(13:21):
guys for what they what theywere able to make happen out
there.

Wyatt Pemberton (13:25):
Yeah, the stuff I saw they absolutely look like
they killed it I can't imaginedoing that many days I mean, you
know how many days we do athammers of racing and that's
that's just a killer in and ofitself but I yeah, Chip thanks
for giving us the full one. Imean, it seemed like a good good
event and and the coverage waswas really good. Obviously it
was our own ultra 1404 crew thatwas handling production which

(13:47):
was which surprised me I expectto see more push from them but I
didn't I just didn't see it upanywhere Maybe it was because
they were focused on gettingthis event going because there's
a lot on the line withpotentially you know 700,000
people you know going by yourfront door at an event so I can
see where that's going but yeahso so Tennessee I hate going

(14:10):
back and looking at who pickedwho for what for for that event
but the the guys who we expectedto win kind of did the one that
absolutely I got to give a shoutout to I mean, we knew we knew
Bleiler was going to be good and4400 I mean that's kind of a no
brainer East Coast race but uh,but Cade rod, Cade rod takes his

(14:32):
his limited car, his EMC carwhich not a lot limited about
that car except for 30 sevensand, and 340s on it and went to
Tennessee and puts that thing insecond mpg. And I found that to
be very impressive, but it alsoit also lays it out there for

(14:54):
guys like you know, someone elsewho's in a Miller chassis, who
lives in the state of Michigan.
who talks a lot of slack and Icall the number one sandbagger.
It really lays it out there forhim that how competitive he
would be in 4400 as well whichwe tell him that all the time so
hopefully he looks to make themodifications. I think he jammed
his chassis up pretty bad thereso I think he's having to cut

(15:15):
off the front of his car and andnow maybe it's gonna be 4400
capable. I think he had a shot, shot placement issue on that
car. And of course, you guysknow I'm talking about Casey
Gilbert, and one sandbagger.

Unknown (15:29):
You know, Wyatt k did amazing, he qualified, you know,
he went out there, he pulled thefirst place pole. I started
behind them, unfortunately, Igot shot out, you know, I had
car problems, like one mile in,but I watched him go by every
lap. I got to hang out with JTout on the lap, you know, and
watch everybody go racing, notme. But he was he was getting

(15:51):
everybody hell, and he didamazing. And he even came to
visions. And when I had brakeproblems, he took over lead and
he was running away fromeverybody and then ended up
ripping, I think was adriveshaft bracket off the frame
and took out the transmissionand some other things. It was
really, you know, just bad luck,Leo, but I'm really proud of

(16:11):
that good. He's coming up andI'm enjoying the smack talk with
them and enjoying what he'sdoing for the sport. I mean, how
you can bring a 4800 car and gocompete against AI s cars and
all these other things. Youdon't have to go spend a half a
million dollars on a car to gorace.

Wyatt Pemberton (16:28):
His car is not cheap, though. I mean, it is a
is the cutting edge car thatthey've they're kicking out at
Jimmy's and, and you're right,absolutely, from a driver's
perspective. He is coming intohis own. He's been really good
for a bunch of years. But youknow, as you know, every mile
behind the wheel under greenflag is is going to be an

(16:49):
advantage. And he's gettingthere and he's actually getting
there. And on that note, I seeno reason why he won't be very
early off here in this this fallseason on the talent tank. I
haven't had him on yet. And I'vetalked to him about it so I can
see you know, that's that's thecarrot here in the beginning of
this show. We'll get Kade on weneed to talk to him. All right.
I want to give a shout

Unknown (17:11):
out from Tennessee the five drivers that finish the
entire all the laps on the race.
Obviously Bleiler was first butCade was second, Miller third,
Porterfield fourth and Ted TaoCurran fifth, I thought it was
really cool to see that thosefive made the entire race it was
absolutely brutal on a lot ofcars. And I just like to mention

(17:31):
those five because I said lasttime I wanted to pick somebody
besides Bleiler and Miller, andI picked Cade, Porterfield and
Gallagher is my top three so Ithought was pretty cool. Those
guys are darn near got thepodium like I call this nice job
guys.
Don't that don't feel sorry forDocker. He took the $10,000 home

Wyatt Pemberton (17:52):
Yeah, I did.
That's the only one I couldremember. Like how that went
down. which is which isabsolutely great for him. Hey
man zandy broke a top 10 out ofTennessee so you've got to be
happy with that right chip?

Unknown (18:06):
Oh, I am so stoked he you know he's a team owner
there's a whole lot of smacktalk that nobody gets to see
between he and I we both makeeach other better drivers and
you know when we went down tothe first lab you know we kept
hearing him on as he went by andhe had a problem I think it's
been a while I slept since and Ithink it was 12 laps or

(18:27):
something whatever it was likenine laps and he broke a king
pan on the top of the axle andthey actually were able to get
it back into the make it threemiles in really rough terrain
Mecca back into the pit. Bang awelded kingpin out replace it
and out in 30 minutes and stillcame out with a top 10 and you
know, those guys, everybodyjumped in Bailey was there he

(18:50):
had a problem with his motor, which is a lot of jokes about
that, but

Wyatt Pemberton (18:55):
I was just gonna say like if we're gonna
give that like like the Bad NewsBears bad luck award for an
event. It clearly goes to BaileyCole, right?

Unknown (19:03):
Yeah. And if the people that don't know what what
happened he he smoked Friday, heYeah, Friday he takes off a
qualifier and he smokes a motor, which nobody really saw was
Thursday night on the way todinner. The spare motor
literally fell out of the backof the truck and rolled four
times down the highway 60 milesan hour it hit every corner of

(19:24):
that block, including the headsthe block, I mean, it was it was
bad and you know just to rub youknow salt in the wound. We're
sitting here trying to figureout how to get him back on
because nobody wants to win inthe pits. And I walked up and
I'm like so your car gonna besponsored by Max traps when we
get home and he just looked athim like what you soon right now

Wyatt Pemberton (19:45):
I deserve it should be should be our rod you
know we'll talk about Berger ina moment with a right yeah
should be Chris l rod l rodstraps. I mean, free free
marketing right here for ourpoor Bailey. But yeah, to see,
you know QB dollars justbouncing down the freeway behind
you in the in the rearviewmirror.

Unknown (20:04):
right he had he had bad luck and visions too. He rolled
pretty hard and qualified. carwas okay took off. And then like
in the second third lap, he lostoil pressure on that motor. And
I know when my guys went upthere to get some other stuff
Saturday. his crew was stillthere. Like four days ago. I
don't even know what day ittakes Wednesday, four or five

(20:25):
days ago still in Oklahomawaiting for their motor to get
back from Oklahoma. And I hadn'tseen them show up here today yet
but I'm hoping they get thingsback together we go race

Wyatt Pemberton (20:34):
Yeah, and you're off to the races. I mean,
literally off to the races. Golet me go into this. Let me go
into the talking points. Youknow, I didn't see him on here
but he supplies it to me anyway.
miles has a twist you know thevoice of hammer town Wilson
voice of over four miles and Iyou know, tight Europe together
here grew up same talent shouldsay we grew up together. He's
way younger than me like fiveyears. So I didn't even see him

(20:57):
in high school. But this thingSturgis South Dakota Yeah, I
brought up it's it is thebiggest world's biggest
motorcycle rally. This is the81st annual if you guys don't
know where this thing is, it'sin southwest South Dakota. It's
near the Montana Wyoming borderelevation 3400 feet so you know
we're records a mile up so thatthat may have a little impact to

(21:19):
all of us that are like sealevel mouth breathers could be a
problem right 6800 populationpossibly you know 700 to a
million people visiting there ina pat in the next week. It's
going down our race is goingdown a place called the buffalo
chip power Sports Complex so thebuffalo chip if you've seen the
picture circle around theinternet huge metal buffalo with

(21:41):
a chip cut out of it as we justhad chip on here I think that's
probably like his his he'sprobably wearing shirts that
already have that on there. He'sHe's a fan right if it's gonna
have his name, it better begood. But this place it's got
bars, showers, houses laundry ageneral store on site gas
station, apparently a bikinibeach. I don't know how many

(22:02):
drivers I'd like to see thebikini beach but it's probably
close to zero, the race itself.
So talking to JT him, john, goodB and crystal rod bird. They
redesigned the track that wasout there. And they've they've
they've got it, they've got itworked out where they've got a

(22:23):
two mile short course. And thiswill be a heat star race. But on
that two mile short course. It'ssuper fast, but it's super
technical. There's some goodgood jumps in there. There's
some dropper jumps, berm turns, you got two big tabletops
there's a big roller section andthen I almost hate to mention it
but there's a small rock sectionand of all this from talking to

(22:46):
JT about it he's basically likesmart drivers are gonna do good
but if you're a little bitreckless, it's gonna own you
you're gonna pay the price so asyou know the words have been
said you can you can't win arace in a corner but you can
lose one I think that's gonnaget a really come out here. And
from what I've seen a picture isthere's not a tree around so no

(23:07):
chance for anybody hit trees, which you know, coming out of
the the Tennessee race there waslots of opportunity hitch freeze
and then at visions I saw Baileydid a walk a tree on a downhill
so there's certainly thatwhether it's looking to be mid
mid to high 80s so in sunny soit looks to be beautiful. As I
mentioned earlier, this is a youknow, it's a dual points race

(23:29):
right it's the third race forthe West. This is the second
points race for the Northseries. I've got the standings
for the West series up but Ithere's no ultra for website you
can't really pull it up for forthe North, which I don't know
like I said is that is thatAlan's way of marking it? I
don't know.

Unknown (23:49):
I don't I don't think they have their points up for
the North yet. They didn't theythe Montana race isn't up yet.
Which seems crazy.

Wyatt Pemberton (23:57):
But as we stand I'm going to read off the west
kind of your top 10 where westand right Brian crosses in
first place in the West Westpoints race then JP and rat JP
and rival Gomez right on hisheels. Those two are tied for
for basically second third, shear and fourth Vaughn getting
in fifth. Then you got to Baileyand her father Shannon, right on

(24:20):
their heels. Then you've got thethe young buck Darien Gomez, and
then Wayland Campbell and Danwyrick, kind of wrap out wrap up
your, your your top 10. Everysingle name I list every one of
those guys as a formidablecontender, and most of them are
there for this race. So at thatpoint, we've kind of gone

(24:41):
through that stuff. I was gowork my way through.

Unknown (24:44):
Yeah. Why? Yes. Your North only had one race. This is
actually the second race to thenorth. The third North race is
going to be crammed in over inlabor day.

Wyatt Pemberton (24:52):
That's right.
It's a really so this is thesecond horse race, right? Yes,
the Russell Bailey's

Unknown (24:58):
you can just go off the Russell Which is Bailey in first
john grounds and second billCoons in third. And then you've
got Tom Prendergast and JadeWickham, rounding out the top
fives. And then

Wyatt Pemberton (25:12):
I think the next the next racer that we've
got the race to Montana would betowns in Jordan towns, and he
finished seventh. So I thinkyou're I think you're right. I
think that's probably theeasiest way to look at it since
I didn't sort it by that but Ido have those guys wrapped up.
But yeah, Bailey would be yourNorth guy. And it is cool to see
bill Koontz that he did doing sowell with the TTB car that Jesse

(25:35):
Haines and Bill Coons and incompany all built at porch mate,
what year was that? Again, like2010 2011 I know I've talked
about JT JT was the factorydriver for that Robby Gordon
race did a couple times coolback in the fall but also cool
to see it it's gonna race thisweekend.

Unknown (25:56):
Yep, so with the series crossing the south and or West I
guess it is in the north thoughthe West champion will be
crowned this weekend but

Wyatt Pemberton (26:05):
North won't be until until crane and after
crane and right yeah, goodstuff. Well let's let's tear
into it to whom you are my guythat always keeps me honest on a
on who did what when and whereas we look at the the entries
I'm going to talk about UTV isthe it's certainly the class
that I know the least about, andthe least I understand about. It

(26:27):
was nice to see all of our keyin the hammers 40 UTV guys that
raise 4400 show up at thevisions event and spank people,
the Miller brothers. Obviously,I'm talking about they actually
killed it. Kyle cheney. Good tosee those guys out there. racing
events like that. Anyway, 4900 Iguess, as we look at it, Josh

(26:51):
Smith won in Montana. And Jacobmercy was third and I'm just
going off guys that arecurrently on the list that are
registered. And then as ZacharyDavis was seventh up there, I
didn't look at the West pointsfor 4900 Oh, well, here we go.
Got it now. Less points. Jacob, mercy and first Josh Smith. And

(27:12):
second. We're just talking aboutthose two guys. And that's
that's why they float to thetop. Josh so Travis Zola anger.
I didn't see Travis anyone herehe is. He will be there. So he's
currently in third in the Westpoints and he will be racing
there and Jason sosi saucy is infourth but I don't see him on
the register list. Anyone knowthat guy? Sorry. saucy. said You

(27:34):
said your last name wrong but alast name. I think Cole Clark
would be top five use in here inmy voice my excitement for UTV.
I get it. There's There's 25 ofy'all lining up. I know little
to nothing about y'all. But Idid. I know between Josh Smith,
I know john Rance is racing inthere. God Yo, Scott sage. I'm a

(27:56):
fan of that guy. He's gonna beout there. Jamie McCoy will be
there. That guy's a formalcontender. He's probably going
to be have to be my pick to win.
I love my panel. None of youguys are UTV guys, either. We
need

Unknown (28:08):
a UTV guy. hammers.
Yeah. The other thing you mightwant to mention about UTV
classes and how that's gonna mixeverything up.

Wyatt Pemberton (28:17):
I actually have no idea how that's going to
work. I I actually lost lostfollowing it. When I saw the the
message. And you guys even sawme on Facebook, say, you know,
what is this message? It's ultrafor coming to Facebook to say,
hey, we'd like your input, butdon't talk about it. On
Facebook. I was like, what iswhat is at? And I knew like Brad

(28:40):
level would be wound up aboutit, like, send me an email. And
then let us Let's have adialogue about it. If that's the
way we're gonna go, I get it.
There's changes going on in UTV,I don't necessarily know them or
know what the difference is. Sofor me to speak about the goings
on with UTV and where they'relooking to split classes or add

(29:00):
classes, I know it has somethingto do with the way the pickup
points are on the bottom of thechassis and what you can and
can't modify. But outside ofthat, guys, I haven't followed I
have no idea.

Unknown (29:13):
It's kind of simple.
It's, you know, I've run myrazor twice and hammers and the
chassis is pretty much trashed.
I mean, let's be honest, theydon't make them to go do King
hammer. So they're trying tomake one class that might end up
in 4400, where the full twochassis full custom up to 300
horsepower than another onewhere there's pickup points that

(29:34):
are saying but you can changethe you know, James a frame
where you can go and do a dealin chassis or make a safer, you
know, so I think there's fourclasses. I have it right in
front of me. I see it as a goodthing. I don't know if I
necessarily agree with the 4400you know, then running with the
4400 because there's a weightdifference, but, you know, if
they're built right in therefast enough, then there's no

(29:56):
worries about it. They're also aturbo non turbo glass on there.
They there's been talk aboutthat, but I haven't seen any
particulars on that. And so Ican make something newer cars
don't have turbos prettyinteresting. Yeah. And I agree
and I kind of see it like, youknow, we started with 4400 you
know, King of hammers what backin oh seven and evolved where we

(30:19):
have every man challenge we got4800 we got you know, all these
different classes now the utvsare becoming inexpensive ish
brings a whole nother you know, genre into our our sport? Well,
I think we're gonna have tosplit it up just like we did the
big cars. Man. I think we had100 and 130 UTV start getting
hammered last year.

Wyatt Pemberton (30:36):
Yeah. But I like where they are going from a
competitive standpoint, to acosting standpoint, the fact
that you can, you know, let'stake one of the Miller, brother
Miller brothers cars toreplicate one of their cars,
you're in the low 100 1000s.
Plain and simple, low onehundreds, those guys don't have,
you know, over 100 in theircars, they because they're their
national champions on many, manylevels. And many, many series is

(30:58):
over many, many years. So theydo get parts sponsored to them.
So their cars are, let's saycheaper to them. But at the end
of the day, you're talking aboutbarely breaking $100,000 on
building your own car, that youcould go race UTV at the
beginning of the week at King ofhammers, and then you can go
line up with the 4400s. Andclearly we've seen that that's

(31:20):
something that's capable, andthat they're capable of doing
it. Now, am I a fan of thatIMAX? Absolutely. Not a fan of
that. But I'm not going to stepin their way and say that they
shouldn't do it. I mean, if theyfit the rulebook then Okay, then
they then they fit the rulebook.
I think that there should bestill some weight splits. But,
you know, I guess when we wantto brag about being unlimited

(31:42):
for a drive if they if they meetthe rulebook, let them go right,
let them race.

Unknown (31:47):
Yeah, I agree with you.
Yeah, I think you didn't mentionthat vision, you know, the
middle boy Shut up. And I'mgonna say those guys can drive
their drivers. But Paul Wolf, arock bouncer showed up in his
razor, did the rock bouncing theknockout the, you know,
endurance with, I think he didfour races. And he didn't end
up. You know, I don't think heended up on a poll. But he gave
those boys a run for theirmoney. So, you know, that was

(32:09):
quite interesting to seesomebody that doesn't do
endurance racing, he does.
Pretty much all Hill killing, togo out there and, you know, get
in a car for over an hour. Andreally give those guys you know,
something to chase. And it wasreally cool to watch. So I like
where the sports going. I'm withyou on it. I don't know how I
like 4400 with you TVs if I comeup, you know, in my car that

(32:32):
weighs 5500 pounds or so. And Icome up on a car. It's 100 miles
an hour and it weighs 2000pounds. You got to play some
physics there guys stay awayfrom the car. problem or?

Wyatt Pemberton (32:45):
Well, I think you're only gonna, you're
really, I think you're onlygonna ever cross. I think you're
only ever gonna cross that it'son an on a

Unknown (32:53):
lake bed in the, in the ATVs run the same qualifying
course as 4400 qualifying timesin one day, pretty close. Yeah,
we. So we be the Miller boys onqualifying by like two seconds,
but they beat us by like eightseconds on lap times because
they can make it through thewoods a lot quicker than we
could. So it was pretty cool tosee that. I mean, like we were,

(33:15):
if the classes were together, itwould have been a very
interesting race.

Wyatt Pemberton (33:18):
Yeah, no doubt.
Hey, Chip, has

Unknown (33:21):
anybody brought up the issue with the weight difference
that when a UTV is trying topass you and they give you the
bumper, you're not gonna feelit? No, but it kind of makes me
laugh. I haven't heard it yet.
I'd like to see somebody nerfUGV nerf, or try to nerf the
4400 card probably getdestroyed. Which

Wyatt Pemberton (33:37):
brings up the problem.

Unknown (33:38):
Yeah, I mean, but they're all good talking points.
That's where sports going.
That's what I like about oursport. It's innovative, and
we're trying to encompass a lotof different things. Is it
perfect? Hell no, not at all.
But we got to go somewhere withit right?

Wyatt Pemberton (33:49):
As long as we're talking about it just same
as you. I mean, you bring it upthe How to grandfather in cars
that are non competitive and4400. That probably shouldn't be
there. They should probably beracing EMC. But you know, at the
same token, we've just seen someEMC cars that that did very well

(34:10):
in 4400, against 4400competition. So I think it's
still a track thing I know youguys have, you know, believe
that you have some cars, youknow, the rear engine cars, I
think are the first ones thatcome to mind that in the MC
race, you guys feel they're notcompetitive, that they can't I'm
sorry, in 4400. The the rangingcars aren't convey, but they

(34:30):
don't fit into the AMC rules. Sowe're at this point that they're
the retiree level.

Unknown (34:37):
Yeah. And you know, I'm promoting that rule change. I'm
working on that. It's got to beput to a vote, you know, and
it's simply a let's allow rearengine cars into the 4800 class.
Everything else stays the same.
One thing I was worried aboutis, well, if we allow rear
engine cars, does that meanrazors can be allowed in the
4800? Well, if we don't allowis, front ends, you know, Gotta

(34:57):
be solid axle that digs here ofthe side by sides. But, you
know, we have, you know, acouple of solid actual rear
engine cars that could really, you know, change them out, but
30 sevens on them, what singleshocks on them, and it does
better for the marketplace for,you know, guys want to move up,
you know, gets more attentionspan for people to come by those

(35:19):
cars. And, you know, keep ourteams going. And well first,

Wyatt Pemberton (35:26):
for sake of time, and I don't want to cut
you off because we're runningdown to 20 minutes or so left
the show. But on that note, youknow, Chip you and I've talked
about you my version of that, and my version of that is doing
away with the classes andeveryone qualifies, and you take
the top 40 like NASCAR the top42 cars, or who runs who runs in

(35:46):
4400 everyone else gets shuffledinto the other classes and and
you go forward and prosper likethat. And I look at that as like
a relegation, like what you seein like the Premier League and
Premier Soccer League in Europe, where there is the ability to
take, you know, a historicalfinishes, historical starts and

(36:08):
put yourself in a position thatyou just because you had one bad
qualifier doesn't shuffle you tothe back of the limited classes.
It just shuffles you down acertain level. But you'd have
enough bad qualifiers or enoughbad races. Yeah, you could be
Lauren Healy and have just youknow, or an Eric Miller who's
just walking the hammers or aBleiler and just one and you

(36:29):
could be shuffled down into areally good class in and you
look at it from like NASCARperspective, NASCAR does that
that's, you know, the fastest 42or who runs on Sunday, everyone
else doesn't have a spot.

Unknown (36:40):
That's the way this weekend is, I think we've got 31
or 32 entries and 4400Originally, I heard there'll be
27 going to the main but JT isgonna make it a percentage. So I
think that number is gonna golower. I like that it makes
people drive harder. And youknow, and smarter. You know, you
go and qualify really good andget lucky. Well, you make it to
the main here, you got toqualify, then you got to make it

(37:02):
through, you know, multiple heatraces, right. So you got to keep
the car together. So it's acompletely different type of
racing. And I like it a lot.

Wyatt Pemberton (37:09):
Well, it gives your limited guys that you're
you're I'm gonna say I'm gonnacall them small budget guys, I
call it limited a bit let's callit limited on budget two guys a
chance to be a good driver withnot necessarily the best
equipment on the road, you know,at the track and a good driver
is going to prevail at the endof the day, a guy that knows his
equipment knows the limits andhe could find himself you're

(37:30):
running in the 4400s even thoughhe's a limited driver, and I
would say you looking at like aCade rod in that regard. Or
Casey, Casey Gilbert in thatregard, where Casey is clearly a
he'd be a front running 4400 guybut he sits back and he raises
in 40 100 you see what I'msaying? Like it would take away

(37:52):
that that sandbagging ability byby going to that go on that
route, as that's my idea, buthey, I digress. I want to jump
off this we need to we need toget get the ball rolling about
this race. We start talking toyou TV. I'm gonna jump down to
definitely the limited classes.
I'm going to talk 44 4500 realquick. You've got Dwayne
garretson. Joe mushir johngrounds john Matthews lavado and

(38:14):
Sean rent senior amin casting Imean grounds, Mexico and Montana
he was second. Matthews wasfirst at Montana. Lavasa was
third in Mexico. Rance was firstat Mexico. So and then Dwayne
garretson. Dwayne has like he'sgot he had to build a separate
shop just to house trophy. Sothis guy, the 4500 just such a

(38:36):
tight competition. 4600 man,Albert confreres, like I hit
that race. That john Matthewsit's in there. Yeah. JOHN
Matthews. Yeah, he was first inthe blue Jeep down there in the
in the crowd. Is he is he isyoung here.

Unknown (38:55):
There's a john with a GPS. Yeah, I got Yeah. JOHN just
joined us. I'm buying him up.
Give me a second here to grabthem.

Wyatt Pemberton (39:02):
I just sent it.
I just seen him like

Unknown (39:04):
john Mather cool.
disrupt your whole recordinghere. But I saw him in there and
thought he may be able to giveus some good input. That's why

Wyatt Pemberton (39:11):
it takes a village Well, he and now he's
probably not listening. So johnMatthews, if you see our invitee
Get up, just cut me off in aninterrupt. I'd love to get your
take on on where the sittingbecause right now you are the P
one in the north. And like Isaid, we're talking about 4600
before tr Hoon, optimallyinterrupted. That was a good

(39:32):
catch. JOHN. We got Fleming.
Alex Fleming. He's sittingsecond in the north series. JOHN
Snell, Josh atterberry. Nickkinson. Shauna Brian, Mike
dhamra. Those guys were third inMexico. Tom Biddle. I don't know
who Tom Biddle is but uh,running out the entry list is
one of my favorites, man.
twitchy McGee he was, uh, he wassecond Mexico. Hey, Matthews. I

(39:53):
see you now you're you'reflashing on my screen. How's it
going? How are you up in a? Ican now Yeah. Are you in Sturgis
already?
Oh, so you're you're you're onthe highway headed that way.
Yeah, I have a really badconnection with you. I'm not
hearing you at all. Really?
Yeah, probably not. I'm gonnamute you and we'll come back. If

(40:15):
you get better signal. Let meknow. Okay. Yep. All right. So,
yeah, 4600 man, you know what Isaw and 4600 for this race that
was actually kind of shocked mewas okay. The guy that was first
at Montana, Josh Pat, not there.
Brad level was first in Mexico.
Not not there. And then JustinReese. where's where's Reese? On

(40:35):
this is Reese on here tonight.
Usually he jumps in here so hecould tell me if he is uh, I
don't see him but kind of kindof shocked to see the two guys
that won the last two races, youknow, with a north and a West
race that aren't even at thisevent. So not saying this leaves
it open. But there's somecompetition there. Alex Fleming

(40:57):
being second in Montana. Snellwas third at Montana fourth and
Mexico but man, I gotta bepulling for I gotta be pulling
for twitchy McGee. He He's dueand he's he's been up there.
He's danced around he justhasn't put one in p one yet.
40 100 Wow, this this group istight man. But Jeremy Jones,

(41:17):
this is almost his backyard. Imean, this is almost a hometown
race for him. That's he wasfirst in Montana. I think I'm
gonna go and put him first aswell. Steam graph is up in
there.

Unknown (41:29):
Hey, quiet. We just got done spending the last two weeks
working on Jeremy Jones's car. Ican tell you what he's gonna be
fast.
Yeah, Cody talked to us about wejust took out the Atlas in that
car and put in an sts case tosee what it would do so Okay,
let's leave the car a littleless parasitic. Okay. So so

(41:53):
he was on fire at Montana. Heactually ended up second overall
behind Bailey. Yep. So wefigured why not give him a
little bit extra and see what hecan do with the rest of the rest
of the crowd there.

Wyatt Pemberton (42:05):
Well, Cody no thank you for man that's that's
why we put the feelers out thereget everybody up here. Awesome.
That's that's a good piece ofinformation to have. I know we
got Jake and going up there.
He's good up Murph dog food.
Gosh, Chase capoeira. I can'tbelieve I hadn't mentioned that
guy's name. Yet on this chases ahe is a force to be reckoned

(42:27):
with. And then Brett BrettHarrell, Brent Harold Gosh, dang
it. I can't pronounce his firstname. Brent Harrell, I think I
saw was that a chance Hollomanchance Solomon's in that group
to chance lost lost a wheel offhis trailer on the way up there.
I saw that I thought I got agood laugh out of that. But
Chuck Crossland he'll be inthere. He's always in the mix,

(42:47):
making it messy. Just Dustin.

Unknown (42:50):
So why is Chuck is the reason that I'm actually in the
boxcar right now. Heading up toSturgis. Oh, yeah. So truck
Chuck has a blown motor still.
And he's given what he rose.
Derrick Trent steps on theopportunity to go drive because
number this weekend up inSturgis. So we went out and did
the NorCal race or the two weeksago and did really well there.

(43:11):
And he said, You know, I kind ofneed somebody to take my spot.
So I can say in the seriespoints. So that's why we're
heading up to Sturgis right now.
And what he's going to bedriving is driving up there I
shot. Oh,

Wyatt Pemberton (43:23):
that's awesome.
That's Yeah, that's awesome.
Good for Woody. Well, thatbrings us to the point of the
conversation where we want totalk about 4400

Unknown (43:31):
back to 4800. Real quick, though, wasn't Levi
surely 4800. Because the red isdown. Levi surely

Wyatt Pemberton (43:37):
is not on the interent list. If he's racing, I
haven't seen it.

Unknown (43:42):
He made some noise that he was coming. Yeah. So he was
heading somewhere. And I'massuming he's got 48 car with
him. But is it possible thathe's racing in 45? I hope he
did. I hope he brings 4400 butthere's also that chassis that
he got from Europe, and I don'tknow where that's the butler

(44:03):
car.

Wyatt Pemberton (44:04):
Yeah. I haven't talked to Levi in quite a while
actually. That's actually again, that's on me. But I'm looking at
the official list as of twohours ago that shows all the
insurance in Levi's not listed.
I'd love to see him back. Backon the list after everything
he's gone through. 4400 Let's dothis. Let's jump into this man.

(44:24):
You know, we talked about thepoints race earlier who's
sitting in it? We've got 31cars. You know, you've heard
from chipper earlier. His otherguy. man who's the wind Do you
want us chip? Chip muted justjump. Well, I mean, we've got
the Gomez's going we've got allthe Campbell's heading out
there. We got Vaughn we've gotLauren. Those do those two dudes

(44:46):
man. I swear if I wouldn't knowanything about the Ford Bronco,
if it wasn't for Lauren Haley. Idon't know if how everyone else
feels about that. But that guyis wheeling a bronco every
weekend or he givin people ridesand Broncos. Not that for
sponsors as they don't. I willgladly take a bronco if they
want to send one this way, butI'm sitting here looking at with

(45:07):
the doors off top top. Yeah,he's definitely been out in this
thing. Yeah, I think they werejust on the Rubicon just took
the family and that was theirthat was the getaway trip. I
love it, man. So going throughthe list, you know? So I'm not
going to pick your chip. You'rekind of do we keep saying that
that you're due for 4400 racebut the field is so freakin

(45:27):
stack. You got Bailey Cole upthere. You just came off the
Montana when he's had to reallylackluster appearances at
Tennessee and vision andvisions. Bill Koontz I gotta say
he's probably going to be one ofmy guys to be in the in the top
10 with that TTB car greatMontana appearance. Bailey
Campbell can't not Bailey upBailey is forced to be reckoned

(45:48):
with especially short courseshe's really brutal. She takes
some she takes some verycalculated fast chances on short
course stuff. As we talk aboutthe course it's a two mile short
course very technical in thesense but didn't have trees. So
it's gonna be fast. I mean, youhave to look at young you have
to look at guys like Paulhorschel and Lauren Healy, long

(46:09):
getting those are the those arethe cars that are gonna get
after it.

Unknown (46:14):
He's uh, you know, I've been around Of course, on the
Grom there's a lot of blindjumps that come into curves.
There's, it's really technical.
I mean, it's a short course. Butif you don't study the track,
you're gonna get in trouble. Andyou know, I don't mind you don't
pick on us for you know, when, but I was looking at the list
yesterday when I was on the wayup here and we got 31 people
coming in here. And there is a Ihaven't seen a stack race with

(46:35):
this many heavy hitters in arace in a long time, a long
time. The other side of that is,it could be you know, I sound
like miles when I say this islike it could be anybody's race.
You gotta keep your cartogether. There's some rocks in
this thing there. They're pinkrocks, oddly enough, JT and eggs
are gonna come apart, but youknow, it can tear up a car
pretty easily and some of thesetechnical terms you go into one

(46:57):
blindly trying to pass them by,you're off in the weeds and you
can roll easily. I mean, I'msitting here looking at the
course and it's not an easycourse well and as you bring it
up you

Wyatt Pemberton (47:10):
right now right here right now on this chip is
exactly it tight technicalcourse when you're going wheel
the wheel in these heat racesleading up to this, you stand
the very, very high risk chanceof cartwheel and somebody or
cartwheeling yourself if youguys make go inside outside on
tires

Unknown (47:28):
I see it happening 100% I hope everybody stay safe and
you know drive smart. But youknow this is the world we live
in it's gonna happen and youknow, I hope it's not me and if
it is I know we all walk outsafely but you know the the
front of this course it's youknow three four cars why'd you
get in the back it gets down toone lane and it's only two miles

(47:48):
so let's say there's 25 cars arestarting to mean you know that's
it's gonna be a tight race.

Wyatt Pemberton (47:56):
I mean, I think it's gonna be harder than Reno I
mean on the cars because Renoyou can spread out I don't know
what the mileage was in Reno.
But you know this one we're allstacked up with each other and
there's no way you're gonna getaway from anybody feels longer
if this feels longer than thanReno but maybe, maybe not I'd
have to go back and look atnotes on that mean you guys are

(48:17):
going to be the ones whoobviously know that better. No
worries Well, on that note ifyou guys kind of heard heard my
take you've got all the heavyhitters and chip I appreciate
you what you had to say herebecause this type of race this
event really kind of dictate akind of leans toward not
indicates it leans towards thatpitch that I rolled out earlier

(48:38):
to you guys but a chip and I'vetalked about this in in egnazia
models about and j team as well.
About qualifying for forstarting position. But
qualifying basically for classlike which they you race on
based on your standings, so tospeak, versus this canon I Fs

(48:59):
car run in a limited class or arear engine or whatever. No, we
just take that in my book, itdoesn't matter as long as you're
the best driver and equipmenttogether. You can do I mean, if
you're really good driver, youcan get away with junkier
equipment. Or if you're, youknow, a really terrible driver.
You need the nicest equipmentout there. Like you know a bunch

(49:20):
of these guys. Yeah, that was alow blow.

Unknown (49:23):
Yeah, no, I got it. One of the other cool things I don't
know if anybody heard about it,and we just heard about it
today. But they're really tryingto promote this race here at the
buffalo chip and from talking toAlan earlier they gave away 15
spots on a radio to come drivewith a professional driver. So
pretty much all the guys withtwo seat cars were going to be
taken guy you know, many womenwho've never seen this sport,

(49:46):
we're going to go take themaround the track. We're going to
put them in the car with ahelmet on them and we're you
know, we're not going to racespeed but we're going to go and
let them experience what we'redoing. And then they have the
the concerts going I think wegot Kid Rock Sunday night here.
They're going to Give away morespots. So there's going to be
like 30 people introduced in avery real way to this Sport Plus

(50:06):
their families and friends, because you know, they'll take
selfies or whatever, because Ithink it's really cool what
they're, you know, ultra for istrying to do here as a, you
know, promotions and get theword about who we are. You know,
that's something I have neverseen him do before. So I thought
that was pretty cool. Well, it's

Wyatt Pemberton (50:20):
good for the teams in the marketing and in
the opportunity to put yourselfout there and sign you know,
sign autographs, you know, kissbabies and shake hands. But the
one thing that I actually had anose to bring up was the parade
on on Friday night, you guys aredoing a parade, I've seen it
listed two places is 6pm. And7pm. I'm not sure if the the

(50:42):
time on that who's listened tothat kick her correct me. But
even on wet ultra force website,I've seen it in two places
different times, it may belisted as 6pm, because that's
what time ultra for wants thedrivers to line up. But the
seven that's that was my guesswhy I see two different times.
But chip, do you have anyinsight in on that parade and

(51:03):
the route you guys are taking.

Unknown (51:05):
So we've got you know, Danny and I have been here the
past three years we were herewith you know, other
organizations. So this didn'tour first time here. In the
past, we just did a paradethrough the buffalo chip, we go
through to make a bunch of noisedrive the cars through the camp.
This time, we're actually goingup to the main stage, and we're
actually going to park the cars, where everybody would stand to
watch say like kid rockers ZZTop, which I think it's pretty

(51:27):
cool. They're going to be herestill. And all the fans, you
know, people here that don'tknow who we are, you're gonna
come up and get like, look atthe cars, touch the cars and ask
questions. And so we're going tobe there for a little bit. It'll
happen after qualifying. I don'tknow the exact times and I
really don't think ultra fordoes either. But it's a really
cool promotions type race forus.

Wyatt Pemberton (51:46):
And on that note, Mitch, what, Mitch, you,
you and Paul horschel are outthere. I know. You're sitting up
here, Mitch, give me the 411from Neil's perspective, or not
Mitch? Yeah, he's beingsecretive. He's actually raised
his hand. I knew exactly what hewanted to talk about, because I
did bring up Portugal and whatthey have going, but uh, well,

(52:09):
there he is. Ah,

Unknown (52:11):
sorry, I'm trying to figure out how to use this
thing. Yeah, we're with Paul,we're in the voter are just
driving cross country. We'repretty excited to go race
surges. We got everything allfixed up after that. tumble in
Mexico. We got some new frontsuspension on there a little
lighter. We got the car all setup for short course everything's

(52:34):
running really good. So we'relooking looking forward to
having them having a fun timewith all their friends down
there.

Wyatt Pemberton (52:42):
And that's awesome. So any any insight from
you guys? Like what's your whatis what's Paul feeling?

Unknown (52:51):
I'm just excited to get back racing. Again, we've had
extractions. Lately with we'rebuilding a new shop out there.
We're working on design a newcar for the hammers. Just trying
to get ready for next year, weput a lot of time into prep,
this race, truck, just spareparts. just telling her

(53:14):
everything it takes to go racethese races across countries. So
yeah, we're just looking forwardto getting out there and having
a good performance.

Wyatt Pemberton (53:21):
You guys crank out new cars quicker than anyone
out there like to not be aproduction shop. It's It's
impressive what you guys are youand Paul are able to do.

Unknown (53:34):
Yeah, I appreciate that. We try really hard. We
just hired another guy full timeto help us. And so looking,
looking forward to that he'sbeen helping us on the weekends
for a couple years now. But nowhe's helping us full time. So it
takes a lot of stress off me andjust it's helped help get
everything done all week long.
So Nice, nice.

Wyatt Pemberton (53:54):
Well, I mean, if you guys are hiring, like I
will throw myself out throw myhat in the ring, because I would
love to like live in Park City, but I really wouldn't be much
for the work part. But if Icould just come and just live in
Park City. I'd be alright withthat.

Unknown (54:07):
Yeah, you're welcome.
anytime anybody is hoping to seeyou when you came through to
Jackson here a couple of monthsago. But once I get this,
everything's pretty tight rightnow. We have a knock a couple
buildings down to get this newbuilding built. So once we get
this new building up here in thenext couple months, we should be
whole production getting readyfor the hammers. And should be

(54:28):
really nice once you get thisnew building

Wyatt Pemberton (54:32):
up. Awesome.
Well, thanks for thanks for thatbig Mitch. Yeah. All right.
Well, good luck this weekend.
All right, guys. So I know Ididn't have everyone handicap
races like we normally do. Butmy alarms gonna go off here in a
minute, but I know after I editeverything down, it ends up
being a little bit, you know, less than an hour, so I'm just
going to cheat. We're going togo over as far as the handicap,

(54:54):
but we're only going to handicap4400 if you are up here on the
top Off the top of the list orwhatever expect probably to get
called on I won't call oneverybody, but if you have ones
that you want to talk aboutabsolutely, Cody, no, Cody 4400
race. They asked you to handicapit. Who you got? Who's your top
three?

Unknown (55:15):
I think Brian Krause is gonna go out there hard. It's
the Gomez is are there I wouldsay probably one of the Gomez is
going to win. Those guys havebeen fast and running a lot at
the Nortel series. I don't knowif they're going or not.
I'm going to say, one of theGomez's crops. All three

(55:41):
registered. Oh, yeah. This istelling me all three are
registered and racing knows moreabout what's going on in 4400
than I do.
And Bailey, Bailey Campbell.
Bailey camel is gonna be I thinkthere's gonna be Brian. Oh, man,
I

Wyatt Pemberton (55:58):
want that too.
Like, it's all good stuff. Andon the Campbell notes, Wayland,
Wayland had his his his wife, girlfriend, fiance. I don't know
what that officiel whatever itis with those two. But they had
their second baby today. So youknow that's, that's, that's

(56:19):
congrats to them. That's that'spretty awesome. So when you guys
you guys see Wayland in Sturgis.
You got to high fiving that he'sprobably got one of the coolest
wives ever to give birth. She'sstill at the hospital and he is
on the road to go race. That'sthat is some dedication. Hey,
Dom Balducci. Dom Are youlistening? I know you're up here

(56:42):
at the top. I know you did a lotof work on cades car. You're
listening. Jump on here and weask you asked you say Hey, get
the 4400 raise. Nate Jesse. Iknow you're up here too. Okay,
there we go. Make sure when meNate, you listen to do a ton of
editing to cut you fuckers out.
All right, Nate. Jesse. WhyYeah, I

Unknown (57:04):
hear you. Now you guys cut out for a minute. So I think
my three for this race. I'd sayhelium the top spot horschel
number two and I'm gonna go tochip at third man watched him at
the visions race. He raised ahell of a race there. I think
he's gonna do wonderful on thisone too. So chip, I got you for
third. Thank you, sir.

Wyatt Pemberton (57:20):
All right, Chris. May Chris. Chris is on
here. We hadn't had him talkyet. macoris 4400 race.

Unknown (57:28):
I want to see Bailey.
Cole do pretty good. With allthe bad luck he's had so I'm
gonna put him up there. Anddefinitely Lauren heliyon just
big power ifns is gonna win outon that short course.

Wyatt Pemberton (57:43):
Got it. And then we had had him talk yet but
uh, Justin wicks Justin find meYeah, what's what's your call to
handicap the 4400 race

Unknown (57:52):
so I think if Lauren is driving to single seater he's
gonna be real tough to be I'mgonna say horschel and second
and JP your role and third

Wyatt Pemberton (58:01):
no disagree for me and then a Shannon or Todd
Which one of you guys want to gofirst?

Unknown (58:08):
Oh, go nobody said McNamara I'm sorry. Compare yet
and short course this I was justtalking to good Be and he says
it's 2.2 miles. And it's tightand technical. That sounds to me
like NorCal so I'm going to putconfer up there. I don't know
which one of the Gomez brothersI'm going to pick but I'm going
to put a Gomez brother up there.
Um, you know what, Lauren Healyhas been doing short course

(58:29):
longer than most of these guys.
I'm going to put Healy up theretoo. That's my pick.
That's That's good. Todd. Yep.
There you go. I hear you now.
All right, sorry. I gotta go. Igotta say it a little weird.
I gotta go with Warren HealyCampbell chassis, and one of the
Gomez brothers if they can keepit together.

Wyatt Pemberton (58:49):
Yeah, I think that's I think that's fair. From
my from my end, I'm gonna I'mgonna do my three and then we'll
bail out of here. CodyAddington. I'm gonna I'm gonna
put coding up there. I like Codyhere. I'd like Cody and you
know, the red dragon. I thinkhe's he's hungry. He's due for
for some stuff here. In a UFOcar. Man. Dan, why rate? I put

(59:12):
wire in there. I know why thisis a bucket list race for him.
And that's why, you know, theyloaded up and they headed out to
this race. So he's on 37 two, bythe way. Oh, wow. Okay, you I
mean, definitely keep the RPMsup there. And then Jason
Blanton. I hope he's there. Isaw he his name in the list.
Blanton is rudely fast if hekeeps the thing together. So

(59:36):
those are my I basically wentthree dark horses. I don't know
where they're going to be if Iget you know, the trifecta up
there, but those are the threethat I'm kind of a fan of. Why
Rick Blanton Yeah. And CodyAddington. Anyway. Well, guys,
ladies, everyone. Thank you somuch for tuning in for another
session of the talent tank benchracing ultra for racing and The

(01:00:00):

the buffalo chip wow crazy eventlooking forward to it. Well,
