Hey everyone! My name is Meliza, and I'm the host of The Talkative Introvert Podcast. As the title suggests, I am very much an introvert, but I love to talk and what better place for a talkative introvert than a podcast? My episodes started off very introvert-centric and it’s still a subject I love talking about and will bring up in my episodes. However, as my podcast progresses, I’ve really enjoyed talking about anything and everything. I also started opening up my podcast to different individuals who have stories to tell and want a place to tell them. You’ll find episodes about introversion, body dysmorphia, personality types, emotional energy, and so much more. Every episode is a little something different. So, if you’re the type of person who enjoys listening to casual conversations, then this is the podcast for you.
In this episode, we say goodbye to 2024 and to Season 4 of The Talkative Introvert Podcast. In gold old TTI-fashion, I’ll be doing a recap of this last season and saying farewell to 2024. Hope you guys had an amazing New Year’s! Here’s to the future and all the (hopefully mostly positive) surprises it’ll bring. Cheers!

In this episode, Bailey and I talk about how much we appreciate Sacramento. A lot of people give Sacramento a lot of crap, especially the people we grew up with in high school, but it’s got its quirks and perks. So, we’ll share some of our favorite things, but some of our gripes as well. We both moved here when we were really young but have been here so long that we consider ourselves as true Sacramentans.
In this episode, I am joined by Eldon Jones. Eldon is an aspiring podcaster, and he talks about his struggles with getting started. He asked how I started doing the podcast, how I planned for it, etc. I try to go over what I did, but the moral of the story is: Just do the podcast! If you have something you feel is worth saying, there’s someone out there who thinks it’s worth listening to.

I met an extrovert who decided to dedicate her time to coaching introverts. After working with a group of introverts, she recognized how amazing they truly are and how powerful they can be in the workplace.

Bailey found a Tik Tok video that mentioned that complaining is “bad”, whereas venting is “good”. However, I beg to differ. We love to complain, and we don’t plan to change that. So, the question is, when is it okay to complain? We list our top 3 grievances and determine if complaining really is all that bad or is it okay to complain.

On March 8th, 2024, my husband and I had to say goodbye to our beloved, Link. I like to think of him as my little cohost and he’s been featured in my podcast art. If you’ve been a listener of the show, you would’ve heard him bark or the pitter patter of his paws in the background. This has been possibly one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through, but I sure am glad I met him. He was truly the best boy.
The beautiful Bailey joins me again in an episode of Would You Rather questions.

My brother joins me in this episode, and we talk about stigma around our hobbies. Some people may view our hobbies as “children’s” hobbies, but who gets to decide what kind of hobbies you should be doing as an adult and is it really all that bad? We say, mind your own business, or in this case, mind your own hobby!

Bailey and I share our unpopular opinions, some a little serious and some lighthearted. For example, 69 is an awful position and, also, people need a little bit of trauma in their lives. Let us know if you agree. Do you have any unpopular opinions?

I am joined by Dr. Vernon T. Scott. We answer the question: What would your response be to a young teen/adult if they asked, how do you know if you’re ready to have sex for the first time? It’s a pretty sensitive subject and there are numerous ways to go about it. It’s definitely not a one size fits all answer.

Bailey and I went to Seattle, Washington but on separate trips. Hers was more of a nostalgic trip, whereas mine was purely for vacation. In this episode, we both recap our trips and share our thoughts on the city.

My husband and I went on a camping with our friends and Danny said something really interesting. The older you get, the more you realize that people just suck. I never really thought about that, so I wanted him to talk more about it. Let me know your thoughts!

In this episode, I stole an idea from the Toni and Ryan Podcast. They do a segment called Normal or Nah, which I thought would be fun to do with Bailey. So, in this episode we figure out if we see eye to eye on some stuff.

Starting off Season 4 with yours truly being interviewed by the beautiful Ms. Bailey! Last season, I did a lot of interviews and my guests were the ones doing most of the talking. So, Bailey thought it would be a good idea for the roles to be reversed and me be the one being interviewed. Let me know your thoughts!
