Digging deep into the 90s crates on episode 006 of The Techno Files, a podcast showcasing the golden era of underground techno that drove me hard from the late 90s through the mid-2000s. All tracks are remastered hifi encodings from my personal vinyl library.
I wanted to do an episode of some earlier “pre golden era” techno, to give a sense of the experimentation that went on before the scene exploded, sampling sounds that survived the test of time. It’s easy to forget where we came from, but these formative beats were the underpinnings of what would become.
This episode features music from: Petar Dundov; Bandulu; DJ Ze Mig L; Marco Carola; Cari Lekebusch; Dylan Drazen & Tim Xavier and more.
