Silence allows me to coexist with anyone, but communication allows for a meaningful relationship to grow.” - Johnnie Williams III -

To be open and honest with the Tribe… this theme and thought take me back to my frustrations with a past relationship. I wasn’t frustrated because love was lacking. I was upset because our lack of communication prohibited a deeper connection from growing, and silence allowed for years of co-existence.

The truth was:
-I’d never get back the time and I hoped that time would somehow fix what was wrong.

-I felt very alone inside of my beautiful home - shared with others.

-I eventually had to let go because we weren’t a good fit for a lifetime commitment.

It hurt when I finally faced the truth (initially), but I am here today – happy as can be. I’m blessed with the most amazing partner for me in taleenSofee.com . I received this advice and it helped during my transition. It was to be respectful, but understand that I was not responsible for how others might struggle with my truth. The key word to focus on from this thought is [silence]. It has a purpose and should be used wisely, but it does not fix anything and often reveals that something could be wrong.

We find ourselves in a very noisy world that appears in some ways to be getting even worse. But some of our societal issues exist because of the silence. A lot of good people sitting back and watching as time passes, failing to step forward and step up to say something.

  • We need to speak our truth (respectfully)
  • We need to except the truth even when it’s ugly
  • We need to tell the truth and stop living the lies

“The truth hurts a lot less when you decide to set it free…” - Johnnie Williams

Ask Yourself:
Why does the truth hurt?

Who will your true hurt the most?

Do we even seek the truth anymore?
