Are you looking for a Third Growth Option ℠ ?

Growth looks clean on charts—but anyone who’s built something real knows it’s messy.

This week we’re opening a conversation about what actually drives long-term success: persistence and tenacity.

Not the flashy kind. The quiet kind that shows up when the plan breaks, the path gets rough, and quitting would be easier.

What makes persistence possible for you or your team when momentum fades?

Always growing.

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
One of the important tools in the Growth Climbers
toolbox is a very simple thingcalled persistence and tenacity.
I, you know, can't count thenumber of times I have asked
myself or the team has askeditself, is that really a hill
worth dying on?
Are we really going to tieourselves to the railroad tracks

(00:23):
on this thing?
And the fact is that, you know,I look back at the big
successes, at uh, you know, these growth stories that we've
helped uh for uh create withteams for companies.
Um they're always filled withyou know potholes and near
misses and and near fatalities.

(00:45):
Um and we only made them intoseven and eight and nine figure
um success stories because ofteam members' tenacity and
persistence.
Um, you know, I think that'strue in our personal life too,
right?
As a parent or as a husband, youknow, there's lots of times when

(01:09):
uh, you know, I have to eitherforgive myself or a family
member, um, and that requirespatience and persistence and
tenacity um to get past ummistakes that we all make.

(01:30):
Um I've had two cases of toxicteam members.
Um doesn't matter if it's a youknow my team or a client's team,
or it doesn't matter whose teamit is, but uh oftentimes we just

(01:53):
sort of shrug our shoulders orwe we accept something that we
should not accept.
We should be persistent, weshould be tenacious, and stand
up against toxicity, right?
So uh there are certain, youknow, all stories and all
journeys are filled withpotholes and near misses.

(02:14):
Uh and sometimes uh, yes, wehave to be flexible on sort of
tactics and sometimes goingaround potholes, but we've got
to be rigid on the strategy, right?
Be flexible on the tactics, butbe rigid on the strategy.
Um and be tenacious and bepersistent on what really,

(02:40):
really matters and do not backdown.
You're not we're not gonna besuccessful, we're not gonna grow
um as people ourselves, asbusiness leaders, we're not
gonna help grow our teams, ourclients, you know, our in any
business without persistence andtenacity, yes, with a little bit

(03:03):
of flexibility uh on you knowhow we get there, but getting
there is sort of we've got to berigid about that.
