It does.
It really was a great trip.
If you listened to last weekepisode, you heard about where
we stayed, yes, and thatexperience.
But now we're going to talkabout where we ate.
It was not a Scott Branickapproved eating experience.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
That's how you have to do this without Scott.
Yes, you got to do all yourlike corn dogs.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yes, which is weird, because he loves that, but he
also loves a fine diningexperience.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
He wants it in a certain environment.
He wants a hot dog, probably ata baseball game.
Yes, like he doesn't want it.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yes, for dinner on a Tuesday night at Magic Kingdom,
whatever.
Whatever, scott EB.
While Sreed and Scott enjoyedtwo steak houses in Chicago,
loranne and I enjoyed Disneydining.
Yes, so the first night we werethere, which was a Thursday, we
ate at the new Woody's.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Roundup Rodeo.
Yes, thank you, woody's.
Roundup Rodeo.
I can't wait to hear about this.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
So I am going to play .
I recorded, loranne, yes.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
After that.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
So here is our my interview with her.
Okay, all right, loranne, wejust ate lunch, I mean dinner.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Where Roundup Rodeo?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
The new Toy Story restaurant and what do you think
about it?
Awesome, okay, what was so coolabout?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
it.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
When Annie was coming and you had to be quiet.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
In freeze.
Right, you had to freeze, yes.
What did you think about thefood?
It was good.
What did you think about thecheddar biscuit that you didn't
want to eat?
You tried it, and what do youthink afterwards?
It was good.
Oh, was mommy right?
No, what, okay.
What did you think about thedessert?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
It was delicious.
What did you get for dessert?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
The forky cupcake.
And is there?
Did you get anything else thatwas special?
No, I got the check.
Oh yeah, you did pay for dinner, which was, thank goodness,
somebody paid for dinner, right, all right.
So what do you give it?
A two thumbs up or a one thumbsup, or a two thumbs down, or a

(02:39):
one thumbs down, two thumbs up.
All right, it was, it was cute.
It was a really cute experience.
I would not recommend it forlunch.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Because it is a lot of food.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
It is buff face.
I mean not buff face style, itis family style.
Okay, so you're paying perperson.
I think adults was like 45 andkids was 35.
I could be wrong.
I don't know, but you, so we.
First of all, our waiter, christian, was hilarious, like I
immediately did a cast review.

(03:13):
Number review.
I know, because his jokes wereso corny I couldn't stop.
I was like, and it was likestraight it was, it was so good,
he like got what I was puttingdown and it was, he was
hilarious, that's awesome.
So you go in and you getimmediately.

(03:33):
You get like the.
I think it's three appetizersit's a cucumber, cucumber tomato
salad, okay, a kale salad, andthen I cannot remember.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Is it like a bread, like corn?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, there's a there's a cheddar biscuit.
Okay, hold on, I'm going toWoody's lunchbox.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
How are the servers dressed?
Are they like toys?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
or are they?
No, but do you know what is sofunny?
Lauren was like what?
I wonder what toy they would be.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Oh, look at you so cute the atmosphere because it's
all Woody's.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Okay, so it is a very .
If you have a sensoryoverloaded child, please be
aware that you are walking intoToy Story of Mania's queue threw
up on you.
Wow, I mean, it is a lot.
There is not one area that isnot touched by.
It is like if you were to walkinto my kids playroom.

(04:32):
Okay, so it's visually.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
It is a lot Not, maybe not.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
It is like sound it is loud, it is loud.
It is loud, but it is it.
Let so if you're, if you have achild or an adult, who that is
overwhelming.
If I mean on the walls, they, they're painting it.
It's painted like it is I, likeyou're in the toy box.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
So it is.
I mean, you've got on this wallthere's a board game at an
angle and then on this, you know, right next to it, you have,
you know a scene from a Barbiedoll box or whatever.
Maybe there's a train up here, there's, you know, cards that
are, and I think I took somevideos.
I'll send those to you, sarah,to post.
So it is a lot.

(05:18):
There is a lot going on, okay.
So what is?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
What is Lunchbox?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
menu.
So it is a family style meal.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Family style meal.
It's barbecue, yes, so beprepared for that.
Yes, and Elizabeth went in Julyon a hot day.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
On a hot day, so okay .
So I don't know why I can'tfind the menu.
I'm sorry, sarah, and I'm sorryif you're listening.
Thank you, sarah.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I will find it.
Let's hear your commentary.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
So you get your first three appetizers, if you will.
Mm-hmm, and it is a lot of food.
We ordered for two people, because it was just me and her.
The table next to us have fourand we ordered about the same
amount of food.
Wow, the same amount of food.
So you pick between your.
So you get the quote unquoteappetizers and then you get to
pick between a meat basedbarbecue option platter or a

(06:09):
vegan based or vegetarian based.
We obviously picked the meatbased.
Okay, here she is, here it is.
So you get the homemade cheddarbiscuits with pepper jelly.
Delicious Tomato salad, kalesalad, watermelon salad.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
So when I read these, I was like she is not going to
like any of this my daughter.
She ate the cucumbers out ofthe cucumber salad and then she
ate the watermelon.
It was watermelon with mint, okay, but she didn't notice that
.
So we got the barbecue platter, the meat based, not the plant
based, mm-hmm, and that was good.
It was ribs, brisket sausage, which was a little spicy

(06:47):
barbecue chicken on the bone.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Okay.
Did you go lunch or dinnerDinner?
You went dinner, okay, and wewent at like.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I think 5.30.
Okay, I would not recommend forlunch.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Okay, well, carly and Emily went for lunch and, like
one of the first weeks thatopened up, they happened to be
down there.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
When we went for our girls trip.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
They were there a day earlier.
They went for lunch.
They were like I really want totry this and they said the same
thing.
They were like we were planningon, like you know, going and
doing some stuff afterwards.
We were so full we got out.
We were like we got to get outof here.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, and I was like it's a lot of.
And this is when he was funny.
He was like don't tell me thatyou're not going to eat all this
food.
And I was like Christian, you're hilarious.
I did appreciate the light, thelightness of the the first
three items the tomato salad, the kale salad, the watermelon
salad.
If you are, if your family islike my family, they would have
looked at this menu and beenlike bleh, yeah, my family,

(07:39):
including my husband yeah, scottwould have eaten all of this,
right, so if that says anythingto you.
So I appreciated that, the meatportion of it.
I think that I, loranne, had achicken and I gave her some of
the brisket I eat all of thebrisket and then I was full, wow

(08:00):
, and so we had ribs and sausageleft.
So then you got to pick foursides Potato salad, loaded
potato, it was basically tatertots.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Veggie slaw, fried pickles, roasted vegetables, mac
and cheese, baked beans, cornon the cob.
And okay, we got.
What did we get?
We got the slaw, the friedpickles.
No, that's not true.
We got the fried pickles, thevegetables, the mac and cheese
and the corn on the cob.
The fried pickles were friedpickle spears.

(08:38):
There were 12 fried picklespears.
Holy moly, that's crazy.
I was like you could have puttwo out there, Right?
And I asked Christian.
I was like can we just ordertwo sides?
And he's like I mean, they'regonna send me out with more
anyway, Right, I do wish that Iwould have pushed on that and
just said just bring out twothings, Right.
And you could tell that thewait staff was like we waste so

(09:01):
much food, Right, which isthat's where I'm.
Like Disney, you have thiswhole conservation concept, I
know, I know.
And you, unless you're liketaking this over to feed the
animals, which I know you're notcan you please like find a way
to not waste so much food?

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I have read some articles from different bloggers
who went and did the reviewwhen it first came out and they
were talking about how much foodwas gonna be wasted here,
because even if you went withtwo adults or four adults, it
was so much food and youcouldn't finish it.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yeah, so I.
So we did that.
The mac and cheese had aDisney's version of Goldfish
crumbled on top of that.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
And of course my daughter was like oh, oh, she'd
love it, you're so annoying andit was the slinky looking mac
and cheese.
So, that was cute.
I gave the macaroni and cheese.
The pickles were great.
I give those 10 out of 10.
I love a fried pickle.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Wish that they would have had ranch.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
They did not have ranch.
They didn't give you like adipping.
No, I know Mac and cheese.
I give that a two out of 10.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
The vegetables were actually really good.
It was squash, zucchini andbell pepper.
Huh, okay, I think there was abell pepper in there, I can't
remember.
That was pretty good.
Okay, it was good, it was great.
It was like grilled so or atasted grilled, I should say
Excuse me, it was campfireroasted.
Oh wow, the cow poke corn onthe cob was grilled street corn

(10:30):
and I wish that I would havepaid attention to that cause.
Lori Ann was like I am noteating this, so it was Mexican
street corn.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Oh okay.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
And there's probably sauce on it and she didn't
really like that, yeah, and thenthere was the cheese and stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Anyway, it was the mini, the little you know, corn
and a cob cut in half.
There were six of those.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Six.
This does not make any sense tome.
Why would they, for two people, send that out?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I know.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
I know.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
And it wasn't just us .
The table next to us was so.
The people to the right of methere were four of us they got
the same amount of food.
The people to the left of usthere were two of them, they got
the same amount of food.
So you pay per person.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Yes, Like you're not trying to pick other.
I mean it's an adult and achild.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Wow, I know I'm like Disney.
I'm not telling you that I canfind ways for you to cut costs,
but I'm telling you I can findways for you to cut costs, and
that's one of them.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Well, unless I mean, obviously, the profit margin for
this kind of food.
It doesn't cost that much.
Well, and so that, and they cancharge you.
Yeah, how much is?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
it per person $45.
$45 plus plus for adult, 25 forkids, and this is the new way,
like California Grill, this ishow they're doing it, Like a
prefixed menu is what they'redoing, which is fine.
Yes, I just I had.
There was a lot of.
I was a little annoyed at thewaste of food that was there.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I know like bring it down to $35 per adult and $15 a
kid, Whatever Like.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Keep it at $45 adult, $25 a kid.
But don't bring out six yearsof corn for two people yeah,
bring out two.
Don't bring out 12 picklespears yeah, bring out four.
So that that was where I waslike come on Disney, or give me
a.
If I again, if I had known thatthe portion size, if two of us

(12:15):
were gonna go back again, Iwould have told them just bring
me brisket and chicken, don'tbring me anything else.
Yeah, that's what I wish Iwould have known going into it.
If it was the four, if it wasmy whole family, I think it
would have been plenty food.
We probably would have eaten itall and it would have been fine
, right, but the two of us, no.
So then you got to pick adessert.

(12:35):
I said that I did not want adessert, lori and one of the
forky cupcake.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
What was?

Speaker 2 (12:41):
that, okay, a cupcake and it had like a forky spork
cookie on top of it.
I'm gonna.
I took a picture of that.
I'll send it to you to post.
He brought out two of thosebecause he was like, well, she's
got to pick which one.
But I think that they have to.
They have to bring out thatfood because they have, I guess,
in their system.
They have to mark when it goes.
It was cute, it was good Bye.

(13:02):
If my kids wanted to eat therefor dinner, I would easily make
a reservation for there againfor dinner.
If I was going just the two ofus, just two people again, I
would have Requested less food.
I would have done maybe one ortwo sides and call it a day.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
That's what I would have done.
I don't think that they wouldhave allowed that, but I would
have tried to press it and maybe, now that it's been open for a
long time, maybe they would doit.
Definitely for dinner, definitely not for lunch.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Okay, that makes sense, because it's it's so much
food, it leaves you feelingsuper heavy.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
And we ate.
Like I said, we ate it like 530.
I thought the time was great.
You check in ahead of time.
You know you make a reservation.
We checked in 20 minutes inadvance.
We got the text that it wasready, it was nice and cold they
.
I mean it was cute, it wasreally cute, it was really cute.
So we'll post the pictures andstuff from that on there.

(13:59):
But I liked it.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Yeah, yeah, I'm so excited I want to go there, I
know so.
Then, like having to look tothink about this, then we did
Okay, that was Thursday.
Friday, we did beaches andcream for dinner.
Okay and originally we weregonna eat lunch at sci-fi dinner
like diner.
Yes, lunch at sci-fi diner andthen do like we were just gonna

(14:26):
do counter service dinner andthen dessert at beaches and
cream and we ended up not doingthat, we ended up just doing
beaches and cream.
for dinner I was able to do awalk-up, a Walk-up wait list.
A walk-up wait list, that'sgreat, which got us in at six
o'clock and the people at thefront, you know, they were like
you may have to sit at thecountertop and I was like that's

(14:47):
fine, that's fine.
But they fixed the wholeCancelation thing for me, which
was really nice.
They got a set of two persontable Her and I both got burgers
, which was fine, and then wegot a milkshake to split.
That was a cute restaurant.
It was a cute restaurant.
Um, I love that whole place.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
It's adorable, it's yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I will say the menu is not big, there's not a lot of
options, so Go in with theintention of like a burger or a
chicken club sandwich orsomething like that.
It's not a big restaurant.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
So it is small.
So they are trying to get youin and out of it.
You know they have the jukebox,mm-hmm.
So one family ordered twokitchen sinks yes, and I'm
pretty sure they sent one back.
Oh my gosh.
So the kitchen sink is thisBull.
I mean it looks like the sizeof what you would consider like

(15:46):
a, like a prep sink.
Yes, you know, I'm talkingabout like the little bar prep
sinks that you can have, or asink that you could have it Like
you're a wet bar.
Mm-hmm, it is like the size ofthat and in it it is full of ice
cream, cool whip brownies, cookies, everything that you can
think of.
Laurie and I got the milk shakein the souvenir cup and it was

(16:08):
vanilla ice cream with a cupcakeon top.
Mm-hmm and then there wassprinkles and icing on it.
I Mean, I've had better icecream at Disney.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Mm-hmm but it was cute, it was cute, it was cute.
Yeah, when we were there we sawpeople get the kitchen sink and
they do a mini sink.
If you're doing to go, okay, beaches and cream to go, but if
you're inside you have the bigsink and it's like a
presentation, it's a whole thing.
So the kitchen sink it servesfor it's $36.
It scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry cookies and cream

(16:41):
and mint chocolate chip also itsays it serves for.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I would easily Say for, and you'd still have half
of it left.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yes, I have seen people post like pictures of
there's five of us, there's sixof us.
Yeah, we still can't finish.
Yeah, it has hot fudge, peanutbutter, snickers pieces, brownie
, every other topping that youwant, and it's ridiculously big.
It's huge and even the minisink that we saw people get

(17:08):
outside was big and it is they.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
So they like turn on these siren lights, mm-hmm, and
they come out and they there'slike a whole presentation.
It's so cute.
It was really the bathroomsituation.
So there is no bathroom insidethe facility.
You have to use the poolbathroom.
Yes, for the yeah club beachclub pool, which was fine.

(17:31):
But when Lorraine had to go tothe bathroom, I couldn't send
her by herself.
I had to walk with her and itwas just the two of us, yeah, so
keep that in mind.
If, if you're a Parent andyou're going alone with just
your children and you're notcomfortable sending them to walk
outside the facility to go to abathroom that's probably a
hundred yards away, right, please keep that in mind.

(17:55):
That was a.
You would need to take yourwhole, you would need to take
the whole crew with you, right, bathroom.
So, but it was great.
I mean it was great, it wascute.
The beach club yacht club wasgreat and cute.
So it was I.
I loved it.
Our food experience in Disneyon this trip.
So I actually brought Bread, peanut butter and jelly.

(18:16):
Mm-hmm you know, it's like I'mjust gonna make sandwiches every
morning.
I put it in a rubber maincontainer stuck at my backpack
and we just kind of nibbled onthat and snacks Every day, which
was now.
I just had it as an option, right, which I was kind of
shocked that we ended up doingthat.
I thought that she would wantto eat more Disney food, but she
didn't, which was fine.

(18:36):
So, like I said, for Thursdaynight we did the Woody's
whatever.
Saturday night beaches andcream and we were stuffed.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Stuffed After Beaches and Cream.
Yes, yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
So I mean the burger.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
They were round up rodeo.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Yeah, so we were stuffed.
So that was Friday night andthen Saturday night, our last
night there.
We just did the Contempo Cafe, okay and I we did the train
around the Magic Kingdom.
So we came from the MagicKingdom and our schedule was
very interesting.
I'll talk about that in asecond.
But we took the train aroundthe Magic Kingdom.

(19:15):
I ordered when we were at Tron, going under the Tron part of
the train, and then by the timewe got on the monorail to the
Magic Kingdom I could check in.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
And that was.
I mean.
I think we waited for five orsix minutes and we took it to
the.
We could have sat there and ateat the Contempo Cafe.
I got a flat, we both gotflatbread pizzas and they were
really good.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I love Contempo Cafe.
It's one of my favorite counterservice restaurants.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
I was shocked the pizza was.
It was really good.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yeah, I really I will go there on out of my way just
to go for their counter servicebecause it's it's a little
quieter.
There's not a lot of peoplethere.
If you want to break and youwant to have like a good meal,
that's counter service and it'snot like the fuss of having a
server and everything.
Go there.
You know, take the monorail, chill out for a little bit.

(20:09):
There's a lot of good places inthe main tower of the
contemporary to just chill out.
You can eat there and then justhang out and take a breather.
But I really like the ContempoCafe.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
That's what I was going to say.
It is.
It is in the main area of thecontemporary, which is nice.
So, if you were to take themonorail over.
You're right there when you getoff the monorail, it is.
It is right there.
I was trying to see Okay, cool, thanks, disney, I was trying to
see that.
So our schedule on this tripwas very interesting.

(20:41):
Okay, thursday we went.
I think we got there around113012.
We went straight to HollywoodStudios.
We did all of Hollywood Studiosand we let you be shocked to
know, you would be shocked toknow, that Rise of the
Resistance was down, obviously, but after dinner it was back up.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
So we were able to do that.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
So we did pretty much everything.
My daughter went to she wantedto go on Tower of Terror and I
was like whatever.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Jerk, I didn't even prep her for that.
I didn't even like pay her $5to do that.
No one.
She just did it on her own.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
She wanted to do it and I will send you can post the
pictures of her.
I mean, she was like we'redoing it and I was like that's
fine, we're fine, so we get that.
We had a fast pass for ourlightning lane for it.
We have a lightning lane for it, we go in.
She.
And I told her I was like, justso, you know there's a chicken
line.
And I will say, as a parent, Iwill like I frequent it.

(21:44):
Yes, and I know there's achicken line, I know where you
can get on it.
Don't even worry about it.
But as a parent, I was like ifyou want to do this, I'm
obviously here to support you.
I hate that this is the journeyyou want to be on, but I'm
obviously here to support you.
She gets in and we we make itthrough the line.
And I told her I was like we'regoing to get in there and it's
going to look, but it's fakespider webs, you know whatever.

(22:05):
And she's like this is spooky.
And I was like it is.
We get in the line to go intothe movie room and we are the
first people in front of thedoors and that if we were the
last people, I think she wouldhave made it to the movie room.
We were not.
We were the first people.
A group comes in and they weretalking about how scary it was
and she was like Mom, can we getthe chicken line now?

(22:26):
And I was like do you want tomake it through the movie?
If you want to make it throughthe movie, like, that's fine.
She was like no, and I was likegood, done, bye, let's go.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Great, so we what?

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I prayed for Peace down in there and then we went
back to.
I think we did a few otherthings in Hollywood studios and
then we went back to the hotel.
I think we got to the hotelaround eight or nine o'clock,
went to bed and then the nextday we did animal kingdom that
morning.
Okay, lunch, Like I said, wejust had our PB and J's.

(22:58):
We came back to the hotel, wentback to the resort and went to
the pool and then lightningstruck and so we had to take a
break from that.
And then that's when I was likelet's just go ahead and go over
to the beach yacht club orwhatever and let's see if we can
get on the menu for earlier orget on the board for earlier.
So we took the monorail to takein transportation.

(23:21):
Nope, yep, how do we do that?
No, we took a bus.
We walked over to the MagicKingdom, took the bus over to
Beach Club Yacht Club, was ableto get in, do dinner over there,
took the bus back, wentstraight to the Magic Kingdom,
did a few rides at night, didthe fireworks and then left.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
You did the fireworks in the park In the park.
Wow, I'm really impressed withyou.
I know.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
So we did.
Let's see what did we do.
I think we got to Magic Kingdomaround.
Dinner was at.
We were done with dinner and onthe bus Dinner was at six.
We were on the bus ready to goback before seven o'clock.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
So that was nice.
But we also got to the BeachYacht Club at five something so
we kind of wandered so we had anhour to kill there.
Anyway, went back, wentstraight to Magic Kingdom and we
did Tron, we did Mine Train andwe did Dumbo.

(24:22):
There was no one there, wow.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I know I mean, attendance has been super low
this summer.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I am also saying I'm going to tell you, I'm going to
tell you the rest of, I'm goingto tell you the rest of our
schedule, and then I'm going tosay something else.
So no, so then we did thefireworks.
That was great, everything wasfine, went back to the hotel,
went to bed, whatever.
The next day we woke up, we didEpcot and we did Guardians,

(24:56):
figment, ratatouille, and wedidn't even like we went.
She wanted to walk through Japan, so we kind of went back that
way and then we walked back likewe didn't even walk all the way
around the world and we endedat Guardians and then we left.
That was all she wanted to do.
So then we chilled at the hotelfor a hot minute and then we

(25:20):
went to Magic Kingdom, did therest of Magic Kingdom, we were
done, and then that's when wedid pick up dinner at Contempo
Cafe and then spent the rest ofthe day.
Then evening at the pool at thecontemporary was fine.
So what I was gonna say to youis we have always done like
Magic Kingdom, full day of MagicKingdom.
I am not opposed to just anafternoon at the Magic Kingdom.

(25:45):
When I tell you no one was therethe wait times.
I should have screen shot atthat.
The wait times for Seven DwarfsMind Train was like 25 minutes.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
That's incredible, it was unheard of.
I mean, in the Wall StreetJournal Bob Iger got interviewed
and he said July 4th this yearis the lowest attendance they've
ever had on July 4th ever.
And he kind of blamed.
You know he, I mean, Did heblame politics?

(26:16):
I know there's a lot ofcontroversy, I guess, or
commentary on his thoughts oneverything, but he was saying
well, after COVID, well, DisneyWorld was one of the only things
that were open, one of the onlyplaces were open to go.
So revenge travel kind ofhappened right after COVID when
people could leave their houseand do vacations.

(26:38):
Well, their options were verylimited.
And so he's saying they allpicked to go to Walt Disney
World and now people have donethose vacations over the last
couple of years.
So now that's why it's down.
And he blamed the heat.
He said you know, it was veryhot that day.
I mean I will agree that thissummer, living in Florida, and

(27:01):
especially being, I mean, moreinland, like we're a little bit,
we live close to the river, close to the beach, Kissimmee,
Lake, Buena Vista is in themiddle of the state.
This has been one of the hottestsummers I can remember.
It is very, very hot.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
This is like the epitome of an El Nino year.
I remember I was in fourthgrade yes, the last time there
were when there was El Nino andwe actually were studying
whether and I remember vividlyremember how hot it was.
In learning about why it's hot,it is a normal, it is a natural
progression for El Nino, LaNina, but and it goes back to

(27:37):
our winners we didn't have acold winter and so there was
nothing to kill, to kill all thestuff off, and so we are in the
middle of an El Nino year.
I think we're on year likethree of El Nino which is
typically when it rains up.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
It doesn't rain on any of that.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Oh my gosh.
And we also had to payattention to the weather,
significantly, because we hadhorses and so we had.
I mean, we constantly had topay attention to these things.
But all of that to say yes, ithas been a very hot year, but I
do think people are findingother places to travel.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, because I mean, nobody knew when they, when
they would have been planning asummer vacation at the end of
fall last year, beginning of thenew year, they didn't know how
hot it was gonna be this summer.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
That's not, why?
No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Attendance is down.
It's not.
People plan their summervacations well in advance, so
they just didn't plan to go toDisney this summer for whatever
reason.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
I mean, people are traveling to Europe, european
travels up, so I do think thatit just is what it, but there
was no one there in the eveningtime, which was nice.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
It's nice there's people that I know who they
sleep in.
Take it easy in the morningsfor their vacations at Disney
and we'll do the pool, eat lunchand then they go into the parks
.
I get it because they miss themorning rush they miss the.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
there is a morning rush crowd, that goes, so I.
And then Sunday we didTopolina's Terrace, which was so
nice.
I love Topolina's Terrace.
I'm so glad that we did it.
Laura Ann was like I can'tfigure out her thing on the
characters.
She like loved it, but she alsowas like I'm nine, yes, like I

(29:17):
don't know.
I feel like if Sydney was therewith her she would have loved
it, right, right so, but thefood was great, okay.
So if you have to pick betweenChef Mickey's and Topolina's
Terrace, 1,000% Topolina'sTerrace Wow, no question about
it.
I think I got the quiche, shegot the waffles.
I mean, from a parentstandpoint, the food is better

(29:38):
at Topolina's Terrace, yes, oh,100%, yeah, yeah, so anyway,
that is my food.
Oh, and Topolina's Terrace isonly character breakfast in the
morning, it's not a characterdinner.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
But you ate at four lunch, so you ate like a late
breakfast.
Yeah, I think that our I thinka reservation was like a 10
o'clock.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Okay, that's smart.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, so it was really nice I.
The trip was fun, the food wasgreat.
Just next time we'll stay atthe Riviera.
Yeah, scott's staying at theLangham.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Staying at the Riviera.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Yes, All right, that's it.
That's it for this week'sepisode of the TQ Room Girls
Trip this summer.
Yeah, next week we're going totalk about I went also around
the same time.
I did not go to the parks, butwe'll give you that review next
week.
But I love, I think you shoulddo it every summer with Lorian.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
I did.
I asked her.
I was like, where do you wantto go next year when the boys go
wherever?
And she was probably here.
I was like, hi guys.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I know I love that.
I do too.
All right, thanks, we'll seeyou next time.
Bye, bye.
