The Tone Mob Podcast

The Tone Mob Podcast

The year was 2015. Show host Blake Wyland intended to start a podcast where he took a deep dive with his guests from the guitar world to explain their rigs. What happened was that, but also a whole lot more. The show quickly evolved into discussions about people's lives. Guitars, pedals, amps, etc. are the central hub of the show, but it really is more about the PEOPLE behind all of it. Both the musicians who use the gear, and the folks that create these magical tools of expression. You can expect chats about songwriting, favorite bands, family, loss, addiction, conspiracy theories, philosophy, and most of all....... food. This podcast goes all over the place. Come take a ride.

On this week's podcast I am speaking with Jake Haydn, the guitarist and frontman for the two-piece punk group Glitchers.

Like many people, I first became aware of them through the interwebz. Viral videos of their wild street performances have been popping up across social media and I just had to check them out.

Jake and I talked about how important it is to just keep creating, grabbing people's attention while simultaneously ...

Welcome to part two of my conversation with Mr. Charles Henry! On the first one, we waded into some pretty heavy territory, but hopefully it was helpful to some folks. On this section it is quite a bit lighter, and we go into a general music geek Nerdfest. It was a blast to have him on again, and I cannot wait until we can do this in person.

Bloody guitars, drop tuning, no pedalboard and a Kemper??? Dan Sugarman is a successful guitar player who doesn't do ANYTHING that I (Blake) do as far as gear goes. Is he on to something? Well, he is in a professional touring band with a super dedicated fanbase, and I am alone in the Shred Shed making bleep/bloop noises. So there is that.

This was a very fun episode, and I had a great time talking with Dan. Even if he doesn'...
