Hello and welcome to thetraveling hypnotist podcast. I'm
your host, Nicole Hernandez, andtoday we're diving into a topic
that might just revolutionizethe way that you approach your
business. We're talking abouthuman design and why it might
(01:10):
make you want to rethink yourentire business strategy. Now I
know what you're thinking,Nicole, I have already read all
the business books out there,I've been to seminars, maybe
you've even hired a coach ortwo. What could Human Design
possibly offer me that I haven'theard before?
(01:32):
Well, just stick with me,because what I'm about to share
with you could be the gamechanger you've actually been
looking for. So let's start offwith what is human design? Okay,
here's the basics. It's not justa personality test or a business
pad. I like to think of humandesign as really a personal
development tool, and really what it is is a
(01:55):
comprehensive system that givesus an energetic map of who you
are.
It's a mash up of Eastern andWestern astrology, the Kabbalah,
the chakra system, and quantumphysics. And the way that you
would get this information isyou would enter your date of
(02:17):
birth, your time of birth, yourcity of birth all into a form,
and it would spit out what lookslike a chart of a human body
with these little spaces thatrepresent your energy
and the insights that come withit are very intriguing. They
(02:38):
tell us a little bit about ourgifts in our life, they can tell
us about how best we need tomarket ourselves and what that
strategy needs to really looklike. And what I found so
interesting is that people whoare already listening to
themselves, who follow theirintuition, who trust their inner
(03:00):
authority, are already livingtheir human design without even
knowing it. So for example, Ilooked up a friend's chart who
is an engineer, and his chartshows all of these things about
logic and about experimentation, and it was so on point for him.
And then I pulled another chartfor another friend who is
(03:22):
someone who teachescommunications, and his chart
was all about communications, about relationship, about
emotion, and it was so spot onfor each of them, but they are
also people who are very muchtuned into who they are and
follow their own guidance, theirown sense of self. When I looked
at my own chart, I could seethat there are so many pieces
(03:47):
that felt so so validating, things about storytelling, about
my emotional intelligence, itwas all there in my body graph.
And of course, from a highlevel, just looking at a body
graph that you're going to getsome basic information when you
pull your own chart, and you'lllearn more about your energy
type. So actually, in today'sepisode, we're going to be
(04:09):
talking a little bit more about, specifically about the energy
tabs, because I think that'swhere we need to start. So we're
going to start with that toplayer, understanding the type
and how that relates to yourbusiness strategy, there's one
core principle of human design, and it's simple but powerful,
and it's this, we all operatedifferently, right?
(04:36):
And it's not just okay, it'sessential that you own that you
operate differently from yourmother, your father, your
children, people around you. Weall have different gifts that
we're given. We all have adifferent perspective. We all
have different energy levels.
And instead of trying to competeagainst each other, instead of
(04:56):
trying to say, oh, that person'ssuccess.
So I need to act like them to besuccessful. We are turning back
to ourselves and saying, How canI be successful in my own way?
So the path to success looksvery different from person to
person. Your path to success isgoing to look different from
(05:17):
mine, and human design justhelps us to embrace that
individuality. Now I'm going tobe the first to admit that I was
skeptical at first when I wasintroduced to human design back
in 2019 I was studyinghypnotherapy at that time and
just starting my business, and Iwas around a lot of colleagues,
(05:38):
and they were very much intohuman design, but I pulled my
chart. I didn't give it muchthought, but it wasn't until
this last year, when I saw mybusiness mentors were using it
and finding that they werehaving a lot of success in their
own business that I decided totake a deeper dive. And let me
(05:58):
tell you, I am so glad I did inthis last year of incorporating
human design into my business,I've experienced some pretty
amazing changes. A lot ofopportunities have come my way,
and I've been able to retoolthem so that they work for me.
I've gained clarity on my uniquegifts and purpose. I've improved
(06:22):
my decision making process, andI moved away from unsustainable
practices in my business, likehaving to post on social media
all the time. I think what'smost interesting to me is that
by actually doing less and justbeing more focused on what feels
good, and allowing opportunitiesto come to me, business is
(06:46):
becoming more manageable andenjoyable. I'm not fatigued in
the way that I was, and that's areason I'm so excited to share
this with you, because it's beenso impactful for me, and I know
that it will be impactful foryou when you start following
your own human design. Now,before we get started and go
further, I'd really recommendthat you pull your human design
(07:08):
chart so that you can followalong. And you can get one for
free on my website, if you justlook in the show notes, you'll
find the link there it is, thetraveling hypnotist.com,
backslash human dash design, dash chart. If you want to make
it even easier, you can DM methe word chart, C, H, A, R, T on
(07:31):
Instagram at this is highfrequency, and I'll send you the
link. Now, let's get into themeat of this. Human Design
identifies five energy types, and each has its own optimal way
of operating in business. Sounderstanding your type could be
the key to unlocking success, and I'm going to break these
(07:55):
down. So I'm going to assume youalready have pulled your chart,
or you already know your type.
We're going to start withmanifesters.
Manifesters, you are theinitiators. You are the
trailblazers. You are designedto catalyze change and bring new
ideas into the world.
(08:17):
When I think of manifestors, youare leading the charge. In fact,
you're the only one of theenergy types that's supposed to
just outright initiate. Buthere's the thing, you need to
inform others before you act. Soif you're a manifester and
you're bulldozing through withyour ideas without bringing your
(08:41):
team along, this could be whyyou're facing unnecessary
resistance. So I like to thinkof it this way.
Manifesters are going to leadthe mission, right? They've got
the big vision, the big goalahead of them. They have a way
of seeing the world, andsomething's going to change as a
result of them taking action.
When I think about mygrandmother and my grandmother
(09:03):
as a manifester, she had avision to move her kids, her
family, out of poverty, and shehad grown up around that. She
had grown up watching men sit onthis stoop outside, drink
alcohol, become alcoholics andnot really living up to their
potential. And she saw the thingthat was separating people that
(09:25):
had money and that didn't waseducation. So she said, I'm
going to get my family out ofthis neighborhood, no matter
what it takes, and we are goingto put my kids in good schools,
they are going to go to college, and they are going to have an
opportunity for real success.
(09:50):
And so she had that vision forherself, and there were people
that she grew up with whoquestioned her. They felt like
she was trying to be better thanthem. And.
She didn't care. And that is sotrue of the manifester. When you
are in your energy, you don'treally care what other people
(10:10):
think it's you following yourvision. Now, did she have to
inform my grandpa that this washer vision for the family? Yes.
Did he have to go along with it,yes. So there is an element
there. For manifesters, you needto make sure that you're
informing people of what you'redoing. So in your business, it's
really important for you to sendquick emails, to have brief
(10:34):
meetings, to share your ideaswith others before implementing
them. You might have a greatidea, and by sharing it with
others, you can actually getpeople to join you and to
support you and make it biggerthan ever. When you are
informing you, will see adramatic reduction in
(10:55):
resistance, and your team willbuy in faster, or your husband
or your wife or your whoeveryou're impacting with that
decision is going to buy infaster
generators. You are the secondtype that we're going to talk
about today. So if you seegenerator on your chart, you
have the energy to bring thingsto life. Now, about 70% of
(11:21):
humans are either generators ormanifesting generators. That
generator energyis all about creation. It's all
about the doingyou have to do what genuinely
excites you. So if your currentbusiness model feels like a
drag, you're actually workingagainst your nature. When you
(11:44):
are lit up, when your body issaying yes, you have so much
more energy, and you can put ina lot of work into things make
it happen. And even though youmight feel tired, your spirit
will feel energized, it'll feelpurposeful, it'll feel like a
mission to you, and that's it'sgoing to keep you going.
(12:10):
That doesn't mean thatgenerators should overwork. You
certainly need to rest. It'sstill important for you to wear
out your energy during the dayand get to sleep and recharge
your little battery and then goback out the next day. So it's
really important for you torecharge. I'm not saying just
because you have all that energythat you should sacrifice your
(12:31):
self care.
So as you're thinking about yourbusiness strategy, build your
business around what trulyexcites you when you are doing
that, you will find that yourgrowth can happen very quickly
when you revamp your services tofocus solely on the things on
(12:51):
the projects that light you up,that powerful alignment is going
to draw opportunities towardsyou. So I had a conversation
with a woman who runs a PRagency, and she was telling me
that she really wants to bringin more wellness clients into
her portfolio, and by focusingon what's lighting her up, by
going after that business, shehas all kinds of interesting
(13:14):
ideas that she can put into theproposals and just grow her
agency in the direction that isright for her, and she can start
to also filter out clients thatdon't align with her new
direction. All right, so we'removing on to the manifesting
generators. Now this one's closeto my heart, because I'm a
(13:36):
manifesting generator myself. Weare the multi passionate
powerhouses, we sometimes looklike we have a little ADHD, to
be honest, and we thrive onvariety and multiple projects.
If you're a manifestinggenerator and you've been trying
to niche down, because that'swhat all the business gurus tell
you to do, you might be stiflingyour natural energy.
(14:00):
So as you think about yourbusiness strategy, you really
want to embrace your multipassionate nature. Now that can
mean creating a business modelthat allows for variety. So for
example, I developed the tthmethod with my hypnotherapy, and
I've been developing highfrequency success, which is my
(14:22):
business system thatincorporates hypnotherapy. But
everything I do has a throughline, or at least several
through lines. In them, itusually has some kind of thread
of emotional intelligence,understanding our emotions,
understanding other people'semotions, dealing with beliefs,
and then the through line ofbusiness strategy and marketing,
(14:45):
because I've been doing that for20 years, and I love that I am
able to use part of my sessionto work specifically on
business, and use part of thissession to work on something
that's more emotional, and it.
All works together. It's a fullsystem that's been integrated.
It's the synthesis of my multipassionate nature. Some people
(15:08):
say, Oh, well, I can't actuallybring all the things from my
business together, because Idon't run my own business. I
work for someone else, andthat's to also understand that
you can maybe do something atwork, and then you can fill the
other parts of your life, yourpersonal time, with other
pursuits that don't have tobecome your business. They can
(15:30):
just provide that spice in yourlife, so that you can feel that
variety, so that you'reconstantly doing something new
and and there's also a learningthere, right when you're you're
doing something that'sinteresting and deep, diving
into another world, you canalways gain insights from it and
bring it into your career oryour business. So ask yourself,
(15:53):
How do I allow my multipassionate nature to work for
me?
Now, if you're resonating withthis information and you want to
explore how human design cantransform your business, I have
exciting news. The doors to myhigh frequency accelerator are
now open. So this is my monthlygroup coaching container, which
(16:17):
is designed for savvy andspiritual entrepreneurs and
business leaders who are justfeeling burnt out and craving an
aligned, intuitive approach tobusiness to learn more. Visit my

(16:39):
now on to projectors.
Projectors, your gift is seeingothers deeply and guiding
energy.
So if you're constantly chasingclients and trying to initiate,
trying to DM them and makethings happen, you're likely
(17:00):
going to feel very burnt out andunappreciated
when you're thinking about howto move forward as a projector,
your business strategy is goingto be to focus on building your
reputation as an expert.
Projectors can go very deep andget a lot of mastery in whatever
they're doing, and it's throughthat mastery that they are
(17:23):
recognized.
So I've actually seen a lot ofprojectors start their careers
in corporate, and they are sogood at what they do, mastering
the task at hand, of working onthings and being recognized that
(17:44):
they often get promoted veryeasily. They're constantly
moving up as leadersand people recognize them as an
authority in what they do. Sowhen they make the pivot to
starting their own consultingbusiness, it's really easy for
them to get hired. Invitationscome to them to say, hey, come
work with me. Hey, I know you'rereally great at this. So the
(18:07):
consulting route, after being incorporate, works really well for
projectors, and I've seen itwith a couple of people that I
know really well.
One thing I would reallyrecommend for projectors is to
think about how to create highvalue content that showcases
your insights,because essentially, when people
get to know your mastery, youare so attractive to them, it's
(18:32):
like the Eiffel Tower.
Projectors are like the EiffelTower, right? We see you
glowing. We see you doing yourthing, and we want to be there.
We want to be next to you. Wewant to be in your energy and
your presence and yourbrilliance. That is the essence
of a projector.
(18:53):
So how can you allow yourself toreally shine? How can you allow
yourself to show the world yourgifts and just allow people to
want to be with you, to want towork with you.
All right, so we're going totalk about reflectors. And
reflectors are the fifth of thefive energy types. They're also
(19:14):
the rarest type. It's about 2%of humanity that is a reflector.
I know one person that is areflector, and in fact, I'm
going to be interviewing herhere on the podcast so that you
can hear more about herexperience.
Now, reflectors are designed toessentially mirror culture back
(19:36):
to us,so you can mirror the health of
a community, the health of abusiness environment, back to
everyone, and it's important for you to
understand that as a reflectorin your business strategy, it's
important for you not to makesnap decisions or to even feel
pressured to move at somebodyelse's pace.
(20:00):
Gifts, because you're notleveraging your gifts. If you're
doing that, you have a body ofwisdom that lives inside of you
that is of higher consciousnesswhen it is at its highest
frequency, and you can helpcreate so much change for an
organization, for a person, fora container,
(20:26):
when you just allow yourselftime to process it all and to
give it the depth that itdeserves.
Now, you might be thinking, thisall sounds really interesting,
Nicole, but why should Icompletely rethink my business
strategy based on this?
Well, let me ask you this. Howmany times have you tried to
(20:47):
implement a business strategythat worked for someone else
only to find that it failed foryou? How often have you pushed
yourself to work in ways thatleft you feeling drained and
unfulfilled?
You know, often we pushourselves to continue to make
(21:07):
more moneyand take on more without asking
ourselves, does this reallylight me up? Is this really
where I want to devote myenergy?
And this is where human designbrings us back to ourselves.
The truth is, in the world ofbusiness, we're often told that
(21:27):
success comes from hustle, frompushing harder, from doing more.
And yet we're at a time whenpeople are feeling burnt out.
Their bodies are negativelyresponding to all the stress.
And I should know, because I wasone of those people.
(21:48):
I started losing my hair. I hadstress induced alopecia. I got
to a place where I couldn't eveneat food without my stomach
completely bloating, and it feltlike my insides were on fire,
and I don't want anyone else tohave to live their life that
way,for them to feel so stressed
(22:09):
out, so afraid, so in the LowEnergy of their life that it
negatively impacts how theylive. It negatively impacts your
quality of life, because success in your business
(22:29):
isn't about doing more and humandesign offers a radical
perspective, and that is thatthe most successful business
strategy is one that aligns withyou.
So by understanding andleveraging your unique design,
(22:49):
your unique gifts, you cancreate a business that not only
thrives, but also feelsauthentic and energizing. So
let's talk about how to startrethinking your strategy after
listening to today's episode, because I want you to start
taking steps human design is notjust about learning about what
(23:10):
you are and then letting it go.
It's about embodiment. It'sabout exploration. It's about
making this an experiment foryou. Because it's one thing to
have information. It's a wholenother thing to know. So I want
you to know this.
So the first thing I want you todo is to discover your type. So
if you didn't already pull yourchart, if you're not quite sure
(23:33):
what your energy type is, I wantyou to do that first, and again,
you can pull the chart for freeon my website, at the traveling
hypnotist.comI would also suggest you pull
the charts of your relationshippartners, of your best friend,
of your parents, of yourchildren, to understand that
we're all different. Secondly, Iwant you to audit your current
(23:53):
strategy. So look at yourcurrent business practices and
how many of them align with yourenergy type? If you're the
manifester, are youtrailblazing? Are you leading,
or are you actually shut downand not using your voice to
lead? Are you informing people,if you're the generator, are you
(24:14):
checking in with what feels likea yes to you. If you're a
manifesting generator, you'realso going to have that yes or
no quality to you. But are youalso allowing yourself to be in
a space of being a multipassionate person and not being
shameful about it?
If you are the projector, areyou really mastering something
(24:38):
and also allowing people to seeyour mastery,
and if you're the reflector, areyou allowing yourself to take
time to make big decisions, orare you pressing yourself to get
an answer now?
So where are you working inalignment, and where are you
working out of alignment?
(24:59):
None of.
Third step here is toexperiment, because human design
isn't about setting hard,concrete rules. It's about
trying to implement changesaligned with your type, and to
see how you respond to them, seehow they feel. Does it feel
better for you to live in thisway or not? As we wrap up
(25:21):
today's episode, I want to leaveyou with this thought, what if
the key to unlocking yourbusiness potential isn't about
following someone else'sblueprint, but about
understanding and leveragingyour own unique, energetic
makeup?
Human Design offers us thispowerful tool to do just that,
(25:41):
and it's not about limitingyourself or putting yourself in
a box. It's about understandingyour natural strengths and
tendencies so you can work withthem, not against them.
If you're ready to rethink yourbusiness strategy, your
energetic blueprint might justbe the game changer you've been
looking for this whole time. Iwant to thank you for tuning in
(26:04):
to this episode of the travelinghypnotist. Now,

it can transform your business, maybe you're interested in a
