Speaker 0 (00:00):
Good morning
everybody and welcome to the
Trust Factor, the podcast thatguarantees your success when you
implement its divine, age-oldteachings.
I need to apologize.
I am traveling and thereforeI'm having some delays in
uploading the content.
Plus, I'm having some technicaldifficulties, but I'm doing it
anyways, folks, so just bearwith me, it will come eventually
.
(00:20):
We are continuing our discussionaround the two parties that are
involved in this lack of faith, this lack of trust in the
creator.
When it comes to earning ourkeep, we said there are two
people.
There are the ones who have themeans and those who are looking
to gain the means.
There are the people who havemoney and the people who do not,
the have and the have nots.
They are both guilty ofconducting themselves in a way
(00:44):
that undermines the way that Godcreated this world and
therefore they both suffer.
Up until now, we've talkedabout the person with the money,
the one who walks around like atyrant, the one who thinks he's
in charge, the one who holdseverybody hostage.
Everything is conditional and,as a result of that, they are
(01:06):
removing themselves from thehonor that's supposed to really
be coming to them.
They could have achieved somuch honor in this world with
those means, but because theyhave a skewed vision of what
they need to do with that moneyand who that money really
belongs to, they jeopardize allof the good that's supposed to
come to them, not only in thenext world, but also in this
world.
They think that people followthem around because they like
(01:27):
them.
They think that people want tobe around them because they're
fun to be with or they're coolpeople or they're well put
together, or whatever it may be.
But we know, we know betterthan that.
We know that the reason thatthese people hang around them is
because they're waiting for thecrumbs to fall off.
They're hoping that they'regoing to get a paycheck by
placating them.
(01:49):
Really, if you think about this,my friend, it's idol worship.
It's exactly what it is.
It's idol worship.
You're following around a humanbeing of flesh and blood who
God bestowed wealth on, andyou're hoping that they're going
to like you enough to want tokeep you around and provide you
with your means, as if thatperson is in charge of what you
receive and what you don'treceive.
It's the most corrupt way ofthinking and it is really idol
(02:11):
worship.
Instead of saying God providesme with my means, you're saying
this individual provides me withmy needs.
It's wrong, simply wrong.
So now we're going to focus alittle bit on the one who is
doing the asking, the one who'shanging around all the time, you
know, like a bad rash, the guywho's always there, right?
Well, let's talk about it alittle bit.
So it says some people flatterthe rich in the hopes of
(02:33):
receiving gifts from them.
Others do so out of the desireto join their business ventures.
Right Makes sense.
If you're around and they seeyou and there's an opportunity,
they need manpower or they needsomebody to pick up some of the
slack, or they've got a newventure.
Oftentimes these people areinvolved in multiple ventures
because they have the meansright.
(02:54):
So instead of actually justenjoying what means you've
accumulated, they're alwayslooking for more and more.
We said yes, he has a hundred,he wants 200.
We are programmed that way.
If you're chasing money, it'snever enough, so they're often
involved in chasing otherbusiness ventures.
Now they need manpower, theyneed somebody they can rely on,
they want a business partner, they want somebody to step up
(03:15):
and share some of the risk, whatever it may be.
And you're the one who's there, and so they offer it to you.
So that's what he's suggestingover here.
Yet others seek to join theirsocial circles so that they will
benefit by being perceived asrich.
You know what that is.
We have a saying act as ifthat's a saying of the
generation.
Act as if you're not worth much, but you think that by hanging
(03:38):
around these people you're goingto be seen in their social
circles and the onlookers willthink that you have means as
well and because of that youwill have a false sense of honor
.
By being around, these peoplejust warp senses of right and
wrong, whatever honor any ofthem acc.
This wealthy person isself-serving and does not
(04:00):
reflect genuine respect for theperson.
This is another part thatactually frustrates most people
and frustrates me as well is Isee people of means that are
very wealthy and very well puttogether and yet they're
surrounded by vultures.
But in their blind need forconstant placation, in their
constant need for people tocontinually tell them how good
(04:23):
they are and how important theyare and to be surrounded by
people who make them feel good, they cannot see the individuals
who are surrounding them for whothey really are.
It becomes a vicious cycle, atoxic relationship.
The wealthy need these peoplearound because they need to
constantly feel important andvalidated, and the people who
(04:43):
are hovering around them all thetime need what they have, which
is the resources, and insteadof putting their faith in God,
they put it in this individual.
It becomes a vicious cycle.
I've seen this happen way toomany times and it's really a
stain.
It's a stain on both the onewith the wealth and the one
without it.
We continue, it says.
The reason people honor awealthy man is in order to
(05:05):
obtain some benefit from him orin order to ensure that the
benefits they are alreadyreceiving will not stop coming.
But the rich man has absolutelyno control over these matters.
For example, he can choose togive a needy person money, but
whether or not this willactually happen is determined by
God alone.
Conversely, the wealthy man canchoose to withhold funds from
(05:27):
the needy one, but if that wasordained that some of the money
should come to this individual, god will make it somehow find
its way into his possession.
If the public realize this, hesays, they would understand that
flattering the wealthy is notgoing to help them at all and
they would hope only to God.
And it will actually have theopposite detrimental outcome, my
(05:50):
friends, that you are actuallyinvolved in idol worship, that
you are doing the exact oppositeof what God tells us he wants
us to do the fate of the peoplewho flatter others in pursuit of
money and honor, it says.
Because the common folk actfoolishly in honoring the
wealthy with various forms ofhonor in the hopes of gaining
(06:13):
wealth and honor themselves, thecreator adds to their
foolishness in regards to thesevarious avenues they employ to
attain their goal and theybecome caught up in expending
strenuous effort and great toilall their days in pursuing the
wealth and honor that they crave.
(06:34):
Thus preoccupied, they neglectwhat they are truly obligated to
be expending effort for andhastening to, to fulfill their
obligations towards the Creatorand to thank him for his
kindness to them.
If they would apply theirefforts in this way, their goals
of money and honor wouldundoubtedly be closer to their
(06:54):
reach.
By honoring God, they would bemore successful at earning a
living and being honorablepeople.
What he's saying here is whatwe've said before and I'll
reiterate it.
But the direction that anindividual wants to go, god has
an obligation to take him.
So if you insist on makingflesh and blood your idol, if
you insist on following aroundwealthy people and making that
(07:17):
your living.
That God forbid.
You should go out and get anine to five that God forbid.
You should be the one who'sactually earning your keep,
instead of waiting forbreadcrumbs to fall off.
If you're that guy, then Godhelps you to go in that
direction.
He makes it a full time job foryou.
He makes sure that you are sopreoccupied that this individual
you follow around will make youwork overtime.
(07:38):
And don't think, by the way, that because they have it,
they're going to release it easy.
In fact, the opposite is true.
Those who have wealth, mosttimes than not, will hold on to
it very, very tightly.
If you want to raise money, youwill raise a lot easier by
people who do not have money.
Those who have means usuallyhold on to it very, very tightly
(08:00):
.
That's why we're reading this.
There are very few people whohave conquered this evil
inclination and understand thatthey have these means in order
to give it away and that thismoney does not belong to them.
Most of them subscribe to theopposite.
This money is theirs and, likeI said before, they become dr
jekyll and mr hyde even if youask for a.
They become Dr Jekyll and MrHyde Even if you ask for a
dollar, they become differentpeople entirely.
You don't recognize them.
(08:20):
It's not the same person youwere speaking to five minutes
ago.
Why?
Because they hoard money.
They worked hard for it andthey're constantly concerned
that somebody's coming to takeit from them and they've lived
now outside of their means.
A millionaire lives like abillionaire, we said.
And so they.
For them, it's not enough.
They're worth a hundred million, but they need to be worth 200
(08:42):
million because they're livinglike they're worth 200 million,
you understand.
So you think that money's goingto come easily.
You think they're're gonnarelease their grip on their
money.
You're dreaming the person whodoesn't have it, who's worked
hard and is and and values hardwork and effort, and realizes
how important money is and whata tool it is, and that we have
basic necessities, and it cansympathize with you.
(09:04):
If you need money and you'reasking for a handout, you are
much more likely to receive morefrom somebody who doesn't have
means, because they can connectwith you a lot more than he who
does.
But still people go and theychase these wealthy people
around waiting for the handoutsthat ultimately will either
never come or will come as afraction of what they're
expecting, or like it says here, god will put you to work.
(09:28):
He will make you work harderthan you would work nine to five
.
If you went out and got aregular job and became an
honorable person and didhonorable work and could hold
your head up high and not walkaround feeling like you know
what I'm talking about.
If you were that guy, you wouldhave been so much more
successful and honorable in thisworld than chasing around
(09:49):
somebody who has means.
He will reduce you to whatultimately you are demonstrating
, which is that you are not anindividual who is honorable.
God forbid a million times.
My friends, don't fall into thistrap, acting as if is for
actors.
If you're a serious individualand you want to get things done,
get them done.
Don't be an actor.
(10:09):
Don't be somebody that you'renot.
Do not act as if.
Be as you are and be proud ofwho you are, and that can change
.
We've seen it.
It changes many times throughouta person's life.
Certain points of your lifeyou're not doing so well
financially, others you're ontop of the world, and other
times you're somewhere inbetween.
That's the roller coaster oflife.
(10:30):
Enjoy where you're at,appreciate it, learn to accept
it with love that God has putyou there for a reason, whether
you're wealthy and faced withthose challenges, or whether,
god forbid, you don't know whereyour next meal is coming from,
and that's your challenge Eitherway.
They're difficult Either way,but recognize that you're there
for a reason.
(10:50):
Enjoy the process.
Money is one dimension of yourlife.
It's important, but it is onlyone dimension.
There are so many more thingsthat are equally and more
important, like your health, like your, your spouse, like
your children.
So many more things, much, muchmore important, my friends.
(11:10):
When you've got your head onstraight, when you have clarity
in these avenues, my friends, you live a life of joy.
You live a life of acceptance,of understanding.
Things just fit together like apuzzle, like a piece of a
puzzle.
Things just work out and youdon't sit and sweat the small
stuff, you just don't, and lifebecomes so much sweeter, my
friends.
(11:31):
That wraps it up for today.
Despite the fact that I'mtraveling I'm having some
technical difficulties I willendeavor for another podcast
tomorrow.
My friends, I give you thatcommitment.
Have a wonderful day.
