This is episode 79 of The Truth Tank.
It’s time for another instalment of The Weekly Tank and another film review. This week’s film is F1: The Movie directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, Javier Bardem as Ruben, Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce and Kerry Condon as Kate McKenna.
F1 centres around former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, who after a 30 year hiatus makes his return. He accepts an offer from his old friend Ruben to help get his struggling APXGP team off of the bottom of the ladder. As part of his return, Sonny mentors star rookie driver Joshua Pearce which leads to personal rivalries that shake up the team and the racing world.
We’ll also take a closer look at the technical side of Formula 1, including the innovation that has emerged from the sport, the physical rigours of racing, the perception and split second timing of F1, the distinctive 80s style and structure of F1. Plus, we will dive into the many characters of Brad Pitt, throughout his career.

The Brothers Ortiz
