Every once in a while, a person comes along that defies everything you think you know about what human beings are truly capable of. Today we talk to Mohamed Abdulahi.
To the untrained eye, Mohamed’s career over the last 20 years reads like any highly successful senior partner advising government and blue-chip companies all over the world. As a Director at Partners in Performance in Australia and New Zealand, his experience encompasses transformation, business and productivity improvements, and capital efficiency on megaprojects across a wide range of industries and sectors.
Prior to his time in consulting, Mohamed worked in engineering for Vector Ltd and New Zealand Steel. But what you won’t read about is the truly unbelievable story of courage, tragedy, resilience and humility that laid the foundation for this truly inspiring individual. What you will wrestle with the most when you hear this story, is that everything actually happened to him. This story is inspiring, tragic, uplifting, courageous and adheres to the adage that a man is not defined by his past.
