Bruce (00:06):
this is bruce with the
ugly quacking duck podcast and
we are live.
Hopefully we are live.
Last time we tried it didn'twork out too good.
I don't know if it's theweather or um, I'm not sure what
it was but we are doing itagain and hopefully the sound is
(00:28):
going to work and the storm isgoing to.
Let us do that, hopefully, andwe have Sonny with us.
Say hello, sonny.
Sunny (00:39):
Hello everyone, Glad to
be here.
I'm glad to have everybody herewith us.
Bruce (00:46):
I think everybody be here
.
I'm glad to have everybody herewith us.
I think everybody's here.
Well, I'm not sure.
The storm's been pretty bad, sowe're not going to keep
everybody on this live tonight.
It's Friday, april the 4th 2025,and we're just trying to wrap
up a chance to do live, andwe're trying to do it more often
(01:11):
so we can start building up anaudience.
Probably next time we try to doit, we're going to broadcast it
or attempt to do it on Facebook, if it lets us, and we'll see
what happens there.
And once we get an audiencebuild up with our the Ugly
Quacking Duck page, we're goingto shift it over to that.
(01:33):
But anyhow, we're using Podbeantonight.
Last time we used it it didn'twork out too well, but I've also
got my mixer recording.
So the live's going to berecorded for either way and
we'll be able to use it on ourregular podcast when we finish
(01:55):
it up.
But tonight we're just going totalk a little bit about the
weather, about the earthquakes, about local Mount Vernon stuff,
and then hopefully we'll getback to our recorded podcast.
So if you're listening to itlater, that's what you're going
to hear.
But as far as the weather, whoo, this week's been rough, I'm
(02:17):
telling you.
We had storms for the last what?
Three days?
Not real bad tornadoes aroundhere.
We have to praise the lordyahuwah for that, the king of
kings and the creator uh.
However, there are some partsof the country's been having
(02:40):
tornadoes.
I know missouri has had uh,several arkansas has had some
and tonight texas is having, um,well, at least they're having
tornado warnings.
I don't think we've got anyhere locally right now, but it's
(03:02):
been raining cats and dogs anda few alligators today and I bet
the frogs are alive you betthey are.
Sunny (03:17):
I'm going swimming all
right.
Bruce (03:22):
Well, excuse me, I'm
sorry about that.
Let me pause this or mute this.
This weather's definitelybringing up some uh bad, bad
pollen and junk and uh, oh, it'sa lousy day.
(03:43):
It rained so hard my mybasement's dripping water.
I'm sump pump's running likecrazy.
The roads were flooded when Iwent to town earlier.
Well, not really the roads, butthe ditches was from all the
rain, and I'm hearing thissupposed to continue until
sunday here, locally, here insouthern illinois, midwest, uh,
(04:08):
mount vernon, illinois, to beexact.
Sunny (04:11):
So there you go yeah, my
burn is getting some rain, but
we're not getting any tornadoes.
Bruce (04:19):
Yay, yay, wow, wow yeah,
but there's been some uh down
south, I guess in texas.
I just heard that a bottlingcompany hershey bottling plant
uh just got hit again for thesecond time in what 10 years, or
(04:42):
something to that effect.
So there you go, it's all overthe country.
It's weird how these storms oneeach day or night, are coming
up the same, almost the sameexact path.
Kind of bad, but anyhow, if youwant to be on top of this
(05:07):
instead of waiting for yourlocal channels to tell you
what's going on, tune in onYouTube.
Look up Ryan Hall you all, that's right, ryan Hall, you all
, ryan U Hall or Ryan Hall, youall and he does a live YouTube
(05:31):
transmission broadcast, howeveryou want to put that, when
there's bad storms.
He does it in the winter andthe summer, spring and fall.
He's on there right now live.
He has several storm chasersthat work with him uh, two or
three meteorologists that workwith him, and they keep him up
(05:53):
to date what's going on, and hehas live maps.
He has.
He actually has an ai that hebuilt to help him out.
So go check him out.
So go check him out.
As long as you're gettinginternet and good signal, he
should give you a lot to watch.
It's quite interesting what hecovers.
Sunny (06:18):
Yeah, we've been watching
around here night and day.
It's been pretty entertainingfor all of us.
Bruce (06:30):
Yes, it has.
It has been pretty entertaining.
So the weather here locally is57 degrees according to my
outside temperature gauge, 57according to my phone and the
(06:55):
live personalized weather reportis showing at 56 degrees.
So it's close, whether you wantto believe it or not.
99% humidity here in MountVernon because it's raining,
eight mile an hour wind that's agood thing.
Air quality is 22,.
(07:17):
It's pretty good.
And you compare that to PhoenixArizona, it's 70 degrees and
sunny Not thunderstorms but butsunny 19 degrees humidity, eight
degrees wind, so it's about thesame.
Air quality is 38, so it's a alittle bit uh, higher, probably
(07:40):
because all the dust.
But anyway, the radar is up andyeah, you can see quite a bit of
storming on the radar and I gotzoomed in from Mount Vernon and
it looks like north of ustowards Sandova Centralia,
(08:02):
towards Sandova Centralia.
Ken Mundy has got red on theradar.
We are green, which is a goodsign.
It looks like southwest of usis more is coming up down there
(08:30):
by Farmington and St Genevieve,redbud.
Yep, it's down there quite abit and it's all over the United
States, but I'm just pointingout here locally what's going on
.
But that's your weather updatefor the Mount Vernon area of
southern Illinois, the Midwestof the United States, and it is
627 tonight on 4425.
(08:52):
And I haven't even looked upthe earthquake report.
I am going to do that now.
Sunny (09:00):
Boy.
You're a slacker there, bruce.
You are just really slacking.
You don't have the earthquakereport up.
How am I supposed to guess?
Bruce (09:12):
Well, I don't know, to be
honest.
I guess we're just going tohave to pull it up.
I didn't even write it down.
Let's see, today is 4-4-25.
And I got to get my micadjusted.
It's not doing real well or I'mnot doing real well.
(09:34):
I feel like I'm having to yell.
Hope you're all hearing me.
I hope the recording comes outwell and you guys all enjoy the
podcast.
I don't have many guys allenjoy the podcast.
I don't have many peoplelistening on the live.
I'm going to try to get it moreat a certain time every weekend
(09:55):
and that way an audience canstart building up.
Right now we've just got oneonline Woo-woo Again.
I am recording this so we canget more later on.
Sunny (10:11):
Yeah, well, there's two
of us online.
What are you talking about,bruce?
Bruce (10:19):
Well, yeah, you're right,
there's two of us, but we are
on the same connection, so itonly counts as one.
So there you go, and let's see.
Let me go to my earthquake pageand see if I can't get this
pulled up here.
Okay, okay, that will be undernews if I look right.
(10:54):
So I'm getting it pulled up.
We're going to look at theseven day report for everything
and, sonny, you want to guessreal quick?
Sunny (11:04):
well, of course I do.
What was it last week?
Bruce (11:10):
Okay, last week it was
where did I write it down?
At 2105.
2,105, all magnitudes.
Sunny (11:29):
All right.
Oh, five, two thousand, onehundred, five, all magnitudes,
all right.
Well, I'm gonna guess it wentto two thousand, somewhere
around two thousand.
Bruce (11:37):
All right, good guess.
So you're saying it went down alittle bit from 2105 to 2000.
And actually it backdated whenI looked it up right before the
report and it went to 2099.
So somewhere in the 2000s iswhat you're saying.
And this week it's actuallywait 220, 2201.
(12:02):
It's went up, went up to 2201,which is a good thing, because
usually if there's moreearthquakes let this soak in if
there's more earthquakes,usually it's because we have
(12:22):
higher or lower numbers and thehigh numbers are no, yeah,
there's higher, lower numbersand the low numbers overrank the
big numbers and the big numberswent down.
Normally.
That's what I've been seeinghere lately.
(12:43):
It's not stuck to that way andwe're going to look at this.
We're going to click on theseven-day all-magnet no,
seven-day 2.5s, and they werelast week week, 42 of them and
this week the 2.5 and over are297.
(13:10):
There we go.
So it's up, it's up um allmagnitudes and the 2.5 and over
are up, which is a good signbecause it's trying to relieve
that tension.
Is what I believe.
I may be wrong, but let's go tothe 4.5 and see.
Sunny (13:40):
Well, you may be figuring
it right this week, but it's
not always that way.
Bruce (13:48):
No, it's not.
It's not always that way.
It kind of throws you off alittle bit.
But this week, on the 4.5, well, let's just tell you what last
week was.
Last week was 87 earthquakesover 4.5.
This week there was 116.
(14:09):
So they're up also to 116.
Wow, that's why our numberswere higher, which, uh, we only
talk about the 6.0 and over.
So if everything stays the wayit normally does, we won't have
(14:31):
a lot of the 6.0 and overearthquakes.
There is a 6.9.
I'm just reading it off thepage um, and it is I can't even
pronounce it wreckage jonesridge, r-e-y-k-j-a-n-e-s ridge,
(14:58):
not sure where that's at, but uh, wow Ridge.
Not sure where that's at, butWow, okay.
So we'll scroll on down and I'mgonna write this down.
(15:18):
And as we scroll down, there'sa 6.3 at the Atlantic.
No, wait a minute, I misread it.
It's the Pacific AntarcticRidge.
That's new.
I haven't seen that one before.
(15:39):
We're getting some earthquakesin, uh, strange places, I think.
Let me write this one down, this I can't even talk the
pacific antarctica ridge, andI've got it wrote down.
(15:59):
That was a 6.3, and thathappened on 4-1,.
So we're going back seven daysto get this count and we're
going on and scrolling down.
I usually have these wrote downuh, we have a 6.2 in tonga, 6.2
(16:24):
in tonga.
Now I do know for a fact thattonga had a big one and uh,
there it is.
That was an after effect at 6.2, but tonga actually had a 7.0
on March the 30th 7.0.
Now that's a big one.
(16:45):
That is a big one.
And if you want to know whereTonga is, it's out on the
southwest of the United States, out in the ocean, or the south,
or the northeast, or, yeah, northeast of Australia, so kind
(17:13):
of that area.
But yeah, they had a 7.0.
And the Antarctica had what was?
Was it a 6.3?
And that's in that.
Let's see, kind of in that area, more, more south.
But makes you wonder what'sgoing on, doesn't it all right,
(17:37):
let me finish scrolling see ifthere's any more.
Nope, that's it.
So the higher ups that we hadwas a lot.
We had one, two, three, fourover six, which everything was
high.
So my theory don't hold water,so ignore me.
(17:59):
I uh theory don't hold water,so ignore me.
But pay attention to the uhearthquakes, because they are
telling us something's going on.
We're getting all this rain.
Okay, yeah, that, uh, I'm notsure how to pronounce that.
I wish I could.
Ray Cajuns, james Ridge, whichis interesting.
(18:32):
It's also in the ocean.
It's on the east side of us.
It's on the east side of us Inbetween.
Looks like it's almost exactlyin the middle in between us and
Europe out in the ocean.
So there you go.
Weird, but that was a 6.9.
(18:54):
So that's two major earthquakes.
That was in the sea, not thesame sea, but in the water.
So not looking good for thehome team, I say.
But that's the weather reportfrom Southern Illinois and
that's the earthquake reportfrom Southern Illinois.
Thank you for tuning in to theUgly Quacking Duck live podcast.
(19:19):
You're hearing Bruce.
Sunny (19:23):
And you're hearing Sonny.
We bless you all and we thankyou for being here.
Bruce (19:30):
Yes, sir, we thank you
very much for being with us and
we appreciate you tuning in, andif you just caught us on the
recorded podcast later, that'sgreat, don't worry about it,
just tell your friends andhopefully you'll be able to, uh,
hear us again.
(19:51):
So until next time, we're goingto say adios and tune you to
the recorded podcast.
See you everybody.
Well, all right, I hopeeverybody enjoyed that live show
(20:12):
and I hope you come back.
This is Bruce again.
Sunny (20:19):
And this is Sonny.
We're glad to have you aboard.
Bruce (20:26):
Yes, we are Welcome to
the Oily Quacking Duck podcast.
We're finishing up a little bitmore so you guys can have a
little bit more of a show.
But we wanted to add to theweather when we were recording
this Friday night that they wereshowing a twister that went
(20:51):
through Kentucky.
So Kentucky was also hit.
Tennessee, texas, missouri.
I think there was sometornadoes spotted in southern
illinois I'm not sure of anydamage but uh, we watched what
was it a couple nights ago on.
Uh, that ryan hall you allyoutube video that live he did.
(21:17):
I think it was the first nightof the storms because that was
the most strangest night, butthere was a.
They caught a live twistergoing through I believe it was
Tennessee and you could see the.
It was getting dark so youcould see the transformer poles
(21:40):
and the stuff like that gettinghit and there was bright
explosions and I'm not sureexactly what town that was and I
apologize, but there's been alot of problems.
So we need to keep these stormsin our prayers and pray that the
(22:00):
Father will cancel them out.
I truly believe that they'renot natural, but they are
effects of some men's doings andI believe that we need to pray
that he will cancel those outbefore people get hurt, or just
cancel out the destruction.
(22:24):
We need to pray for the peoplethat was in these lines of
storms and earthquakes becausethere were several and keep
those prayers coming Again.
If you don't believe in prayer, those prayers coming again.
(22:46):
If you don't believe in prayer, then I ask you to keep positive
thoughts going towards thesepeople in these storms and don't
let our negativity affectpeople, and they do.
The words we speak, thethoughts we have, will affect
not only our lives but otherpeople's lives.
So please, for me, do that.
(23:06):
And um, I don't have too much onthe news uh front tonight.
I um do know that there was onestate I read this, I didn't say
the article but there was onestate.
I read this.
I didn't say the article, butthere was one state that has
passed legislation to stop thefluoride being added to the
(23:32):
water.
And many of you that don't knowmay be thinking well, that's
good for you, that's good foryour teeth.
Well, I'm not going to arguethat point.
But the fluoride you'rethinking of, that the dentist
gives you, is not the samefluoride that they've been
pumping in our water for years.
It's actually hazardous waste,but that's another story.
(23:57):
I'm not going to get into it,but Utah is the first state that
has acknowledged that and thathas banned any government
officials or any publicofficials from adding that to
their water.
Hopefully some other stateswill take knowledge or take
(24:18):
notice of this and will enactsomething similar.
Sunny (24:26):
Well, you'd think people,
especially our government,
people would go wait a minute.
If that's harming people, let'sstop it.
But they don't.
Bruce (24:39):
Now, if truth be known,
most of the time when stuff like
that happens, it's becausepeople are getting kicked back
from these companies to dumptheir waste somewhere, and this
has been a tried and true act toget rid of this waste from, I
think, aluminum companies thatproduce aluminum, but I'm not
(25:01):
sure.
Don't quote me on that that.
But it is a byproduct.
Like I said, it's not the samealuminum or same fluoride that
you get when you go to a dentist, get treatment.
Besides that, he always makesyou spit it out and rinse your
mouth out.
You don't swallow it.
So even if it was the samething, you wouldn't swallow that
(25:26):
, just like you shouldn't beswallowing it in your water.
But anyway, that's enough ofthat.
They'll be knocking me forbeing a conspiracist or
something, and we've had areally crazy week this week at
my work.
Sunny (25:46):
Really what happened?
Bruce (25:49):
Well, I want to shout out
to Jessica.
I told her to listen to thispodcast, this episode, and I was
going to shout her out.
So, jessica hi, and I was goingto shout her out.
So Jessica hi, and we'reshouting her out because she
(26:09):
actually put in her two weeksnotice and she is gone.
She left.
She's got a couple of youngkids, one of hers and, I think,
one of her niece Don't quote meon that, but if I'm wrong,
jessica, you'll have to let meknow but she's going to take
care of them young kids and, uh,do a little bit of work from
home.
So we wish her the best.
(26:33):
I'm trying to shout out peoplethat you know, and sophia left
to go to another job and Ishouted out her when that
happened and I run into hertoday.
She's also working at Kroger'sand I run into her and said hi
to her.
So we want to acknowledge heron.
(26:55):
Give her a shout out on thepodcast.
Kind of cool, running intopeople.
Wait a minute, do I have a?
Uh, a shout out thing?
Let me look.
Uh, you know, one of the greatthings I like about being able
to record this and save it forlater not being live, what you
(27:19):
can edit your bloopers.
What you can edit your bloopers.
No, I don't edit it a lot, itjust wastes too much time.
Sunny (27:32):
I try to level out the
audio, and that's about all I do
, oh well then, what?
Bruce (27:37):
Well, I enjoy being able
to pause it while I search for
something on the mixer, and thenI can hit play.
See, so I save a little bit ofdead air time for you guys out
there oh well, that's cool.
Sunny (27:53):
By the way, bruce, you
know what?
Uh what oh you smart aleck.
No, it's raining, outside.
Bruce (28:09):
Okay, yes, it is Boy.
It looks like.
I'm looking at the map thatRyan Hall just had up and it
looked like Perryville andFarmington was in red.
Now, I don't know if they had atornado watch going on or what,
but I'm telling you everybody,if you haven't looked him up on
(28:34):
YouTube and hit, subscribe orfollow whatever it is on there,
you should, because he's great,he works really well with people
and he, he, he's just good.
Watch him for a little bit andthen tell me what you think.
But anyhow, yeah, okay, here wego.
(28:55):
This is for sophia and jessicausing goose by the ugly,
quacking duck, cool, okay.
And we had a little bit moreexcitement at work.
We had, uh, some policeofficers show up like two or
three nights in a row or daysboth.
(29:17):
Um, we're not going to talkabout too much what they did,
but for the gentleman that gotarrested and is now in jail, our
prayers go up with you for you.
We hope that this is going tohelp you to know that you should
(29:39):
not have been doing I think youalready knew that should not
have been doing what he's doingand that somehow you will find
it in your heart to ask forforgiveness before you hurt any
more people.
I'm not going to give any namesor anything, but may the Father
be forgiving and that's all Iwant to say about that.
Sunny (30:03):
Oh, that sounds like a
movie what does the?
Bruce (30:06):
uh?
Oh, I know what you mean.
That's all I got to say aboutthat.
It does.
I didn't realize.
I said that pretty cool, allright, well, we don't have too
much more news.
Um, I don't know how long thisbeen going about 30 minutes.
Hey, that's perfect.
We don't have to go for an hour.
I like that.
You got anything you want tosay, sonny.
Sunny (30:30):
Yeah, if you guys like
this podcast we hope you do will
you show us that you like it?
You can contribute to the show.
Bruce will tell you how.
Bruce (30:47):
Well, thank you, sonny,
that was kind of cool.
And yes, if you like thepodcast, any of the episodes
that you've heard.
First of all, we want you tocome back for more.
We also want you to share thispodcast with other people.
We want to grow, we want tohave more people, and we want to
(31:11):
grow not just with um people, but we want to grow in
experience and ability.
So what that means is for youguys to send in what you think
of the show, what you'd like tohear, what you, you know, don't
(31:32):
want to hear, and we may payattention to it.
But you know you can give us aheads up of what you're thinking
and what it's doing for you.
You can send us a text onalmost any 2.0 podcasting app.
(31:52):
Go to our website,theuglyquackingduckcom.
Go to the homepage, scroll downtowards the bottom and type in
your email, hit subscribe andthen every time we post
something, you'll get it in youremail box and that's a great
(32:13):
way to keep up with what's goingon.
And boy, it's lightning outside.
I've seen a lot of lightning.
Some of it's kind of close, close, so I probably need to
shut down here in a second.
But anyhow, we believe in value, for value.
What that means to you and me iswe're going to try to keep
everything free on our podcastso you can enjoy it, share it,
(32:40):
and so the only way we're goingto be able to continue to do
this and afford the web page andthe hosting company and our
equipment is not for chargingeverybody behind a firewall, but
for you to see value in it andsupport our cause.
(33:00):
Donate to us.
We're hoping you'll do that.
It seems like my voice istrying to give away tonight,
probably because the rain'sblowing something in that I'm
not very able to handle.
Bunch of pollen and stuff,probably.
But anyhow, hey, man, we'rewanting you to support us.
(33:23):
You can do that either byemailing us, you know, sharing
the link, sharing the web, theweb page, anything you can do to
support us, even if you don'tdo it financially, we can always
use artwork, ideas, help, whatever you can do for us.
(33:45):
We want to do and share thispodcast with people and have
their ideas and supports comeback to us, their comments,
everything.
Anyhow, that's all I got to sayfor now.
Sunny (34:04):
Oh yeah, you promise.
Hey, Bruce, don't forget tomention what you're working on
on the side to get on here.
Bruce (34:15):
Oh man, I almost forgot.
Yeah, we're hoping that we'regoing to be able to do on the
live, but maybe not just on therecorded podcast.
But we're wanting to take alocal church or a local church
person every, either everycouple of weeks, once a month,
(34:38):
every week.
I don't know how that timing isgoing to work out, but we're
going to highlight somebody orsome church or organization and
we're going to talk a little bitto that person or to that group
and put it on our podcast.
That's what we're hoping on.
We've got one lady we'retalking to.
(35:07):
She's actually works with me atwork, but she also does
something for, uh, yahuwah, yahuwah, gosh, can you talk the
father?
And I'm gonna let her, in herown words, tell you about that.
Uh, when we finally get to sitdown and record that, um, I
talked to her a little bit lastnight and, uh, the plan is to
get together with her, getcontact information so we can
(35:31):
work out how to do it, and, um,then, uh, a time, and we're
going to do that.
Just, probably about 15 minutesis all we're going to do.
But that's the plan, guys.
We're finally seeing someheadway.
We're going to designate andhighlight all this for the
(35:54):
Father, yahuwah the Father, andif you don't like that wording,
then you'll have to just dealwith it if you want to listen to
me.
But, uh, we thank you all forbeing here and we thank you in
the name of yeshua that we havethis podcast and we have this
(36:17):
audience and, uh, we hope we cando something great for it with
it, for yahuwah.
So to bid you farewell, uh,we're about 36 minutes into it
and we don't want to keepanybody any longer.
We want to say good evening, besafe out there, and we're going
(36:37):
to try to get this out, maybetomorrow on our website and then
maybe tomorrow night we'll getit on the hosting page and get
