Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the Unapologetic Woman podcast,
where I will be discussing beingunapologetic, deepening your
relationships, celebrating yoursobriety, upleveling your
success, understandingmetaphysics and truly connecting
with your sacred, sober, sexualself.
I'm your host, jen Stoney.

(00:25):
Now let's begin unlocking yourunapologetic woman within.
Welcome back to theUnapologetic Woman podcast.
I'm your host, jen Stoney sobermentor, keynote speaker and

(00:46):
your biggest cheerleader increating a life you absolutely
love.
If you're tuning in today,congratulations.
You're taking the first steptoward living unapologetically.
It's a brand new year 2025,2025.
And we're diving into theultimate resolution, and that is

(01:06):
saying goodbye to the drinkinghabit that's been holding you
back and hello to the empowered, vibrant, unstoppable version of
you.
So grab your coffee, yourjournal or just cozy spot and
let's get into it.
Oh, so here's the thing so oftenpeople feel and I've heard it a

(01:32):
lot is that we're powerlessover alcohol.
And to me, I feel that beingsober is empowering.
And I look at my relationshipwith alcohol and what it was,
and it was a toxic relationship.
And so what did I do?
I did the empowered thing byleaving that toxic relationship

(01:56):
and I took my power back.
I was handing my power toalcohol.
So remember, you're choosingsobriety.
You are choosing the empoweredaction to truly catapult your
life in 2025 in ways that Idon't think you even know are
possible.
Now I get it.

(02:20):
You're here because you're ahigh-achieving woman who has it
all.
I get it.
You're here because you're ahigh achieving woman who has it
all the career, the income, thehome, the family, or maybe the
jet setting single life.
You're the one everyone comesto for advice, for leadership,
for support.
You're at the top of your gamein almost every way, except this

(02:48):
one area, and people arestarting to notice, or maybe
they already have.
Maybe trust has already beenbroken.
Maybe you already have gone torehab, maybe you've already gone
to detox.
Maybe you have attemptedsobriety so many times in the
past 10 years that you were sickand tired of being sick and
tired and you're like Jen Idon't know what to do.

(03:08):
So here's the thing If we'rebeing honest, this is really
eating you alive.
You drink to relax Aftercrushing it After a long day, or
maybe it's a way to escape, tonumb out.

(03:30):
Maybe it's wine while you'reprepping dinner.
Cocktails with clients, champagne to celebrate your wins
.
But deep down you know it's notjust a drink anymore, it's a
crutch.
It's costing you more thanyou'd like to admit.
Let me tell you somethingYou're not alone and you're not

(03:54):
broken.
You're brilliant, successful,capable woman who's ready for
her next level.
And that next level starts withletting go of what no longer
serves you.
And here's the thing.
I see you right.
You are, at events, putting onthis mask.
If someone looked at yourInstagram and they saw where you

(04:16):
were in the last like month ortwo for the holidays your photos
, I'm sure, with like glitz andglamour and nobody on the
outside who doesn't know you andsee you, they don't know what's
actually going on.
They're probably looking atyour life and they're like, oh
my God, I want what she has.
She gets to go to these parties, she gets to know these people,

(04:36):
she gets to connect with withthese, with this company, with
these other people.
She gets to volunteer right, there might be a picture of you
volunteering and being ofservice, right, because you're
an awesome person, you're a goodperson, you're an incredible
human, and alcohol is notserving you.

(04:58):
It's not allowing you to trulyshine the brightness that I know
.
You are here to shine and livethe life that I know you desire
to live, and right now, alcoholis holding you back from that.
I know that alcohol has led youto have relationships that you
wish you never had, to makedecisions you wish you didn't

(05:21):
make, to get yourself intosituations that you might even
drink over now.
So we're going to dive into thetruth about drinking and why
it's time for a change.
It's New Year's, a time forresolutions, right?
Lose weight, exercise more,save money.
Lose weight, exercise more,save money.

(05:43):
But here's the thing If alcoholis still in the picture, those
resolutions are fighting anuphill battle.
Drinking affects every part ofyour life your health, your

(06:03):
finances, your relationships, your confidence, and let's not
forget the mental energy spenton managing it right.
The should, I, should, I cyclethe constant obsession in your
head that starts maybe at two orat noon, where you're like I
just got to make it to five.
And then you're like I just gotto make it till 3 pm.
If I make it till 3 pm, if Imake it to five, I don't have a
problem.
And you have this obsession ofwhen you're going to drink next,

(06:26):
what you're going to drink, where you're going to get it,
what liquor store you're goingto stop at, and maybe even where
you're going to hide it sonobody will notice and here's a
powerful thought to really kickit off.
And also let me just say thatI'll stop it after this weekend,
promise that somehow turns intonext month, next year, next

(06:49):
decade.
The time is now.
You don't need a new year toquit drinking.
Every day, every moment, everyminute is if you're alive and
breathing, you have theopportunity for sobriety and I

(07:09):
don't want you to take thatlightly.
Not everybody has that.
Not everybody has theopportunity to get sober.
People die from this diseaseevery single day.
And you're alive and you havethe chance, the opportunity to

(07:31):
get sober.
So that's a huge deal.
And maybe you're sitting hereand you're like Jen, I've been
sober for years, or I'm a fewyears sober, or whatever it is,
but I'm not happy.
This is for you too.
You know I work with people inearly sobriety, but I also work
with people to build a solidfoundation in sobriety, because

(07:54):
anyone can put down the drink.
But to actually get sober, sober, heal the relationship
with yourself, with others, andtruly have that emotional
sobriety, that's a completelydifferent level and that is what
I help my clients truly embodyand maintain so they can have

(08:15):
the life they desire, but theycan continue to thrive in life
as they maintain their sobriety.
Life happens, things aren'tperfect, and to know that you
don't have to pick up a drink tobe happy and that you know that
if you pick up a drink it'sjust going to get worse, and to

(08:37):
truly stay committed during thehardest times of your life and
to not drink over, it is one ofthe greatest gifts that I have
and one of the greatest giftsthat my sobriety clients have
been able to do.
And I know you can do it too.
So back to the powerful thoughtto kick off 2025.
What if this was the year youstopped making promises to

(09:02):
yourself?
You couldn't keep right.
Maybe this year is the year fortrue integrity.
What if this was the year youstepped into complete alignment,
living with clarity, purposeand peace?
And here's the thing sobrietyis the ultimate power move.

(09:28):
I know you have done a lot foryour career, for your education
and everything, and I know thatalso there's a good chance.
You have attempted sobrietybefore on your own.
You have bought the apps, youhave attempted to do the digital
programs, read the books, andyou're like it's not working.
Or you've gone to detox, you'vegone to rehab and you're just

(09:51):
like it's just this perpetualcycle.
Just now, remember this year isyour year, this day is your day
.
If you're alive, you have thechoice for sobriety, and
sobriety truly is the ultimatepower move.
Getting sober isn't aboutdeprivation, it's about

(10:19):
liberation.
Let me say that again Sobrietyisn't about deprivation, it is
about liberation.
Think about it how much time, money, mental energy would you
save if alcohol was no longerpart of the equation?
I mean, let's be real here.
If you go out to the bar, thosedrinks are not $2 anymore, okay
, and then you have the tip.
You have so many things on topof it and then you're usually

(10:42):
eating more.
There's so many things, buthealth-wise, sobriety is a game
changer Better sleep, glowingskin, more energy, sharper focus
.
Imagine waking up every morningclear-headed, knowing you're
showing up as the best self inevery area of your life.

(11:03):
Right, I had a client last monthwho even said she goes.
Oh, I looked in the mirror andI felt my skin was just glowing
Like.
It felt clearer, my eyes feltclearer.
And then guess what Hercoworkers noticed as well.
They're like wow, your skinlooks amazing.
What are you doing?
She goes.
I'm not drinking, it doesn'ttake long.

(11:27):
I mean 30 days, 45 days.
Your body will notice adifference.
Heck, your body's going tonotice a difference in a week,
and I'm not a medicalprofessional.
So, depending on the amountyou're drinking, remember check
with your doctor, because, whenit comes to alcohol, it's very
crucial that you don't attemptto get sober on your own.

(11:50):
You might need medicalassistance and that's really
important to contact a medicalprofessional and be honest about
the amount you drink.
So many people lie about howmuch they're actually drinking,
because a lot of people arehiding it and or they're not
really being honest withthemselves.
And then they're like I can doit.

(12:11):
I do everything on my own.
I got this, I can get sober onmy own, and people have died
from detoxing on their own.
So just know you're not alonein this and don't play doctor.
So, with that being said, now, financially.
So, with that being said now, financially, cutting out alcohol
is like giving yourself a raiseI mean, who doesn't want a

(12:32):
raise for 2025?
And you can give yourself theraise.
Now, how much are you spendingon wine, cocktails or that Uber
because you didn't want to drive?
Multiply that by a year andsuddenly you have vacation money
, investment money and hello, new handbag money.

(12:56):
Because who doesn't like a newhandbag.
And here's the thing we wrap uphealth finances.
Now let's talk relationships.
Do you see how sobriety is theultimate power move
Relationships?
And we didn't even hit on howit impacts your work and how

(13:16):
professionally you're going toskyrocket.
But relationships Sobrietydeepens them.
They allow for you to be fullypresent and really in the
relationship, whether it's withyour partner, your kids or your
closest friends.
Being fully present andauthentic is a gift.

(13:39):
You'll stop hiding, stopfeeling ashamed and start
connecting in ways you didn'tthink were possible.
And here's the thing I coachwomen on this.
I mentor women on this.
I have proven tools and methodsand programs that allow for you
to unpack the layers that areholding you back from truly

(14:00):
being unapologetic and reallystepping into your true self,
releasing the shame, releasingthe self-hate, forgiving
yourself, forgiving others andliving lighter, living more free
, living more compassionate, more empathetic, more grateful,
living a life that is focused onjoy and the magic and miracles

(14:22):
instead of the darkness, thenegativity, the criticism.
Now, it takes time.
It doesn't happen overnight, because connecting in this new
way, being authentic, beingintimate like you've never been
before there are things that ittakes to truly be able to show
up, because a lot of my clientsdon't truly know who they are or

(14:46):
what they like when they'refirst getting sober, or even in
the middle of sobriety, whenthey're truly showing up in an
emotional, sober way.
I was that person At five years.
I didn't know what paint colorI liked.
I didn't know what food Ireally liked.
I didn't know what clothes Iwas dressing for other people.

(15:10):
I was talking so that otherpeople would like me.
I was doing things so thatother people would like me.
I was choosing like decor andour home, so other people would
like me.
So, five years sober, I woke upto the reality of I get to know
myself for the first time sober, and it wasn't easy and it was

(15:35):
incredible and beautiful at thesame time.
And I hired more than oneperson and I hired people to
walk me through this because Iwanted to do it in a way that
was fun.
I wanted to do it so that Iwasn't wasting time.
I wanted to be held accountableand I wanted to know the ways

(15:56):
to do it so that I had pureclarity and efficiency and, when
I got up to roadblocks, thatthey were there to help me get
out of them.
So why now is the perfect time.
I know what you're thinking,jen I'm not ready.
What if I fail?

(16:16):
What will people think?
Here's the thing there willnever be a perfect time.
Life will always be busy.
There will always be stress, celebrations and reasons to put
off sobriety.
But let me tell you this thelonger you wait, the more you

(16:40):
lose.
The best time to start wasyesterday.
The next best time is today.
Let me say that again thelonger you wait, the more you
lose.
The best time to start wasyesterday.
The next best time is today.

(17:01):
So if you've been listening tome for a while, you know I'm all
about the high touch, customized support and before I
was promoting the women's sobersupport circle as a 30 day
program and the more I talk topeople and the more I sat in

(17:21):
meditation with it it just talkto people and the more I sat in
meditation with it.
It just I created it because Ithought I should.
I had someone tell me I shouldand when I sat with it I was
like.
I was like I want to get peoplelong-term results.
I want people to trulytransform their lives with
sobriety and let's be honest, 30days is a great start, but to

(17:44):
truly transform your life.
With any new lifestyle change, especially sobriety, one year is
really what you need.
I mean six months minimum, butone year is really that time.
Whenever I've made changes inthe past, I've allowed myself to
do it for one full year andthat, to me, is a lifestyle

(18:08):
change and I'll give myself likean end date.
All of that, but sobriety.
After the year, it continues toevolve and so a lot of my
clients will continue to workwith me as they continue to
deepen their relationship andtheir sobriety and their life
and they thrive and they growand they expand.
So I decided to not do the 30day option.

(18:33):
I was like no, so I decidedinstead to create the women's
sober support circle.
That isn't one size fits allapproach.
Okay, it's not.
It's a 12 month journeydesigned specifically for women
like you, ambitious, driven andready to reclaim your life.

(18:55):
In this program well, I shouldsay multiple programs, because
there is several programs fitinto this one year and we tackle
the foundational principles ofsobriety, healing past wounds
and anchor into your why.
You'll get tools to handle thecravings, the strategies to

(19:18):
navigate the social situationsand the confidence to show up
fully as yourself.
And the confidence to show upfully as yourself, and because I
know you value privacy.
Everything is done with theutmost confidentiality and
what's really beautiful is thatyou could be in long-term
sobriety and greatly benefitfrom this.
This is not just for thenewcomer.

(19:41):
This is for people who alsowant to strengthen their
sobriety, maybe even just add anew spark to it and also deepen
their emotional sobriety.
So we'll connect through groupcalls three times a month and a
private Facebook group andyou'll have touch points with me

(20:06):
.
It's going to be the support isgoing to be unlike anything
else.
If you want to upgrade to theone-on-one VIP option, you can
do that.
You'll have access to me Mondaythrough Friday for the
personalized support inside thegroup, because I get it.
Life doesn't happen on aschedule Okay, and often I do

(20:26):
touch base and check in on theweekends.
Ask anybody who's been in myprograms before I live for this.
I love this, like coaching,mentoring.
Watching you unpack a problemand take action and move forward
and expand and let go is one ofmy greatest pleasures in life.

(20:47):
I love it, okay, and my clients.
Results are so vital to me.
I do not take it lightly whenyou hire me.
You.
Somebody can hire me for onesession and another person could
hire me and pay in full for 12months.
That's a drastic difference ininvestment right there, and I'll

(21:08):
tell you right now that I takeboth of them seriously, because
you are taking your time andyour money, but also you're
trusting me with intimatedetails about your journey and
your life.
That's a big deal, and I justwant to say thank you for

(21:29):
allowing me into your life, intoyour ears, right now, because
that is a gift too.
So thank you for allowing me tobe a part of your life by you
listening to this podcast, thankyou for being here, and by the
end of these 12 months, youwon't just be sober, you'll be
thriving, unapologetically, living the life you've always

(21:54):
dreamed of.
I will give you everything thatyou need to maintain your
sobriety.
Now here's the thing I am notgoing to get sober for you.
That's on you.
I am not going to do the workfor you.
That's on you.
This is not going to be easy, this is not going to be simple,

(22:14):
and you're going to haveroadblocks, but I will be there
every step of the way to supportyou, to coach you, to mentor
you, and you won't be alone.
And what's beautiful is thiswill be a gorgeous, supportive,
welcoming group of women.
Those are the containers that Icreate.

(22:35):
I've created them ever since Icreated my first program.
I attract women who are able tosupport other women, and a lot
of women come in to work with meand join my programs and
they're a little leery at times.
They're like I've never beenable to support women like this.
I've never been able to receivecelebration like this from

(22:58):
other women.
Like this is foreign to me andthey're blown away.
Like this is foreign to me andthey're blown away.
Let me tell you, being inside acontainer as me as your mentor,
will be healing.
It will, because the welcominglove that is inside of it will
allow for you to have support.

(23:19):
That's different than also, soit's like it's pairing, and even
people who had me as aone-on-one mentor have joined
group programs before as well, and it's a different layer to
have that support system, thatcommunity of people who can
really understand what you'rewalking through.
So here's my invitation Okay, let this be the year you stop

(23:45):
waiting and start transforming.
Imagine yourself a year fromnow healthier, wealthier, more
connected and more confidentthan ever before 2025, here you
come.
That can be your reality.
Enrollment for the Women's sobersupport circle is open now.

(24:05):
This is early enrollment, thisis early bird enrollment, okay,
and so if you're ready to takethe leap, let's do this together
.
So dm me and dm me 12 month andI will get you all the
information and details.
There are huge pay and fullsavings as well.

(24:28):
If you're looking for privatementorship, this program is
included in that as well.
So if you're looking to hire meas a private mentor and really
work personally, one-on-one, andhave access to me more access
to me than you would in a groupprogram, message me VIP and we
can go into that.
Also, you can become a VIP withthe 12-month.

(24:49):
There's lots of options.
Anyways, everyone is differentand everyone has a different
plan for their sobriety.
Remember, my plan is not theonly plan for recovery.
There are so many recoveryplans out there, so it's really
personalizing and figuring outwhat works best for you.

(25:10):
I take several differentmodalities in my programs and
also add my own tools andmethods to it.
So it's not just one modality,it's several.
So again, I just I can't waitto connect with you personally,
answer any questions and reallyhelp you take that first step.

(25:34):
I was just in tears the otherday as a woman was telling me
that she has wanted to contactme for a while now and she was
so happy that she finally did.
And I was sitting here goinglike, wow, the guts that it took
for her to pick up that phoneand send me a DM and then for

(25:56):
her to say send me that link.
And her to pay in full and sayI'm ready, jen, and to say I
have been wanting to do this fora while.
I'm so glad I'm doing it now, before it's too late.
That's a huge deal.
And so for you taking thisfirst step giant deal, giant

(26:17):
deal, and I don't take itlightly when people reach out to
me.
So just know I'm sending youbig hugs, huge celebrations.
I can't wait to connect with youand really see what is best for
you and your recovery and yoursobriety.
And also, as we wrap up, justremember this you are not your

(26:39):
drinking, you are not yourmistakes.
You are a powerful, capable, resilient woman who deserves to
live fully and freely.
Sobriety isn't the end of thefun, it's the beginning of

(26:59):
everything you've been craving.
Until next time, stayunapologetically, you, and
remember you don't have to dothis alone.
I'm here for you.
