Episode 62 of The Unearthed Man Podcast with Andrew Webster is live.

Following 10 years of operational law enforcement, Andrew moved into the corporate world. He hit the ground running with open eyes and returned to university (some say he’s never left).  Andrew knew it was time for a change and to reset.

These changes included re-baselining values and ways of working. In this approach, Andrew combined learning from stoicism, Buddhism and the value of attachment with the decision-making model from the defence force.

One of his greatest projects is building the confidence, capacity and capability of those around him.

In this week’s episode, we visit Andrew’s childhood and growing up with a twin brother, which to him is no different to just having another sibling, his venture into law enforcement and the challenges that presented given his ongoing need to deal with trauma and death. This led him to undertake a solo trip along the Camino de Santiago route in Spain of which the last 100 miles are seen as a right to passage for many young men.

After nearing a breaking point, Andrew spent 2-weeks in the presence of a Shaolin Monk in China, where he continued to enhance and grow his martial arts practice. In recent times, Andrew has discovered a lighter and more peaceful way of living. Having now watched Andrew’s journey over the past 2 - 3 years, it was an honour to have him as a guest on the Podcast.
