Ever felt your home push back when you’re trying to grow? That quiet resistance might be more than mood—it could be the nervous system reading your space as unsafe. We explore how physical clutter fuels micro stress, why your eyes are a constant trigger for your body, and how a few decisive changes can flip anxiety into ease. Months of late nights and sudden 3 a.m. panic spirals ended not with more sage, but with a closet reset and a small altar that turned a heavy corner into a calm anchor.

We walk through the science and the soul. Polyvagal theory shows how our bodies scan for safety every second; visual chaos often registers as threat. Studies linking cluttered homes with elevated cortisol add weight to what many intuitively feel. Then we connect it to identity: old suits, stacked heels, and boxes of “who I used to be” send mixed signals that keep the system braced. By removing misaligned objects, color-sorting what remains, and donating items to empower someone else’s fresh start, you free focus, drop cortisol, and let your space mirror your present self.

The key is not just clearing, but refilling with intention. We share a simple, grounded method: remove the heavy cues, then add a few high-vibe anchors—plants, a favorite book, a candle, a bowl of moon-charged water, a single photo that makes you breathe deeper. Place them where energy tends to stagnate, like corners, and let your home become a partner in your reset. As we move from a collective cycle of completion into a new beginning, space-making becomes a daily practice of becoming. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s decluttering, and leave a review with the first item you’re releasing this week.

SPEAKER_00 (02:21):
Hello everyone, welcome back to this special
weekend edition of the UnityCode.
Now, this is special because Inormally keep my boundaries
crystal clear on the weekendsbecause I work like a dog all
week long on all the things allday, all night, don't sleep.

(02:43):
This is pretty usual for me withmy family.
And this is how my brain works.
I love what I do.
And so I spend so much timedoing it.
So this is a special edition forme to create this podcast
episode and release it on theweekend, mainly because Spirit
has made space for me to dothis.

(03:05):
And normally they are removingthings from my plate to rest.
And I know that they've removedthings from my plate today on
Saturday, um, in December, noless, when everything is crazy
and busy, to record this podcastepisode because I know this is
something that you all need tohear.
Now, this is probably going tobe one on the shorter side, but

(03:25):
it's a follow-up from theepisode last week on clearing
out and getting us ready for theclosing of a nine-year and the
entrance into a one-year.
And this is coming after myfirst free activation class for
the 2026 portal.
Um, if you haven't signed up,the first free class is freaking

(03:49):
unreal.
I think I'm gonna, I think I'mgonna lock it down soon because
I want people to be able to dothe exercises and progress
through the month.
And I feel like if people jointoo late, they're not gonna have
enough time to progress throughthe month.
So if you haven't signed up yet,I highly recommend it.
I am gonna lock it down so morepeople can't sign up, probably
starting on the 15th.
But I wanted to record thispodcast episode with all of you

(04:12):
to talk about the energeticsthat are around us every single
day.
And this is part of this nineremoval episode that I
previously talked about becausethe energetics of your space
hold you back.
And no, I I know that there's alot of stuff on social media, a
lot of things talking aboutclearing your space, saging.

(04:35):
Heck, I've even posted about itmany times, probably on this
podcast as well as social media.
But I really want to talk aboutthe importance of doing it now
and the importance ofunderstanding how your space
sets the tone for your energy ina much bigger way.
Because I want to talk about aswe clear out old energy, as we

(04:57):
go through our task list, as wego through our energetic
internal list, and as we processeverything that we've been
through in the last nine months, what may be lingering is not
what you expect.
And so a little bit of a storytime here for all of you.
I already said I don't sleep.

(05:19):
I don't sleep.
I I go to bed really late.
I wake up really early.
I it's not good from aprojector.
It's gonna bite me in the assand catch up with me at some
point.
However, it has gotten to thepoint over the last few months
where not only do I wake, go tobed late and wake up early, but
now I'm also having middle ofthe night panic attacks.
Now it's really interesting tome because I don't have a lot to

(05:45):
panic about.
So as I wake up in the middle ofthe night with these panic
attacks, I don't know wherethey're coming from.
Um it's not like I mean, I'mdoing what I love.
My family loves me, I'msupported in all areas of my
life.
And so when these panic attackssurface in the middle of the
night, my body is going to thisnervous system breakdown.

(06:07):
And my brain is like, why am Idoing this?
What is the point?
And it's like, I can't, my braincannot override my body's
energetic nervous systemresponse in the middle of the
night.
And so, even in my brain, I'mlike, well, I know there's
nothing wrong, even though mybody is having this panic
attack.
And so I'm just gonna likedistract myself scrolling on my
phone, try to just ride throughthis energy so it doesn't bother

(06:31):
me as much, right?
And so eventually I'll scrolllong enough that my eyes start
drooping and I fall back asleep.
And then I wake up in themorning and inevitably it's the
same every single day where I'mlike, why, why?
And there was nothing for me tobe nervous about.
There was nothing for me toworry about.
Why did I wake up in the middleof the night thinking about it?
Because I know when I wake up inthe morning, my perspective is

(06:52):
going to be completely differentthan what my body tried to give
me a panic attack about thenight before.
And so it's a really interestingdynamic that I have gone through
repeatedly and repeatedly andrepeatedly to the point where I
didn't know what to do about itbesides continue to go to bed

(07:14):
later.
So hopefully I was so tired thatthe panic attack didn't wake me
up.
I mean, realistically, that wasmy strategy, probably not a good
one.
And so I started researchingthis.
And well, hang on.
First of all, Spirit gave me asolution.
I'm gonna get there in a bit, ina bit.
And then I wanted to researchwhy.
Why am I doing this?
And so after, and this allhappened, by the way, after I

(07:39):
had cleaned and saged my space.
I talked about it, I think, lastweek in my social media account.
But before you bring in yourChristmas tree, sage your house,
clear out the energy.
And I did, and I saged my wholehouse and I cleared out the
energy, and yet these panicattacks still still existed.
And my energy in my bedroom inparticular was still really

(08:02):
heavy, and it was really, reallyinteresting.
And so what I ended up doing wasum clearing out my closet,
clearing out all of the clutterin my room because I have
drawers and and things that arein there and you know, keepsakes
from many years ago.
And so I literally went throughevery single corner, drawer.

(08:29):
There was a little bit of anBoston accent there, every
corner of my closet up to eventhe top of it where I keep the
storage of everything, you know, like the old t-shirts from high
school that you have.
And I cleared everything outthat was no longer aligned to
this new version of me.
And I'm I'm gonna pause therebecause I think it's really

(08:53):
important to maybe give thescience behind why it is so
important to clear out thephysical clutter from your
house.
And I knew this wassubconsciously very important.
I knew that my team had beentelling me to clean and remove
the clutter, and it's veryironic because I'm sitting in a
space where like there's acloset behind me and there is so

(09:13):
much fucking clutter in thatcloset.
And I'm gonna, I know that'sprobably what I'm gonna have to
tackle next.
But the spaces around us affectus so much more than we think.
So I got to researching this.
I wanted to understand what isthe science behind the clutter.
And there were four differentthings that I was able to
discover with this, which Iinherently knew, but

(09:34):
scientifically I wanted tofigure out why, why does this
happen?
And so the first, the firstthing that popped up was the
polyvagal theory.
Um, so this is essentially theidea that our nervous system is
always scanning for safety.
We all know we do that, right?
We do that in rooms, we do thatwhen people, when we first meet
them.
Um, but similarly, we do thatwith the space that we are in.

(09:56):
If we are scanning and seeingclutter and seeing old items and
seeing like chaotic things allaround you, this will
subconsciously register as notsafe or not settled.
And so if you're constantlyaround the same clutter, the
same chaos, which at least whyis why I keep the door shut.

(10:16):
So maybe I can't consciously seeit.
So it's okay, you're gonna endup um having these slight
little, I'm gonna call themmicro triggers, like micro
triggers in your nervous systemthat that just happen over and
over and over again, and it'sgonna wear you down over time.
Um, in addition, no one issurprised, certainly not my
husband, because he's he's theOCD clean freak in our house.

(10:39):
There it is.
Um, that clutter equalscortisol, right?
And so there was a UCLA homestudy that essentially uncovered
that people who live incluttered spaces had
significantly elevated cortisol.
Now, I'm not, I know there's abig difference between
correlation and causation.
And for those of you thathaven't heard that before, it

(10:59):
doesn't mean that clutteredspaces cause cortisol, which is
your stress hormone.
It just means that those two aresomehow correlated, right?
Like it, if you have highcortisol, you may tend to have
cluttered spaces.
So there might be some otherthings at play as well, not just
necessarily the cluttered space, but there is a correlation there
with the cluttered space in thecortisol, right?

(11:21):
Um, in addition, we're talkingabout the cortisol, we're
talking about our nervous systemscanning.
And so as your nervous system isscanning, as your cortisol is
spiking, your brain is going toprocess all that stuff, right?
Um, so that is going to create alot of cognitive and emotional

(11:42):
overload in your system.
Isn't that so interesting?
Isn't that so interesting?
So, because I think we talk alot about the energetics of
spaces and the way that I'vehistorically talked about it,
which I still think is true, isthat I think of energy.
So if you go, for example, tosomewhere like Gettysburg, um,

(12:03):
Pennsylvania, right?
And you go there, and the peoplethat go there, I have not
personally been there, but thepeople that go there, and same
thing with Pearl Harbor, tend todescribe the energy is really
heavy, really unsettled, really.
And I think that ding was I'mgonna have to go there.
Um, it is deep, it's dense, it'sthick, it's heavy, it's probably
not the highest or bestvibration.

(12:26):
And so the way that I havehistorically described energy,
it's almost like, you know, howyour skin flakes off?
It's so small you can't see it,it's microscopic, but that's how
I feel energy is.
I feel like energy flakes off ofyou all the time, just like dead
skin, and it gets stuck and itsettles, right?
And so, and I think that's true.
And I think that's where theenergy and intention of Sage and

(12:47):
Paolo Santo and sound clearing,et cetera, can help raise the
vibration of space.
But you can't do that withphysical fucking objects that
you see and experience everyday.
Right?
Right.
And so what is so important forme to highlight what was what

(13:09):
was in my closet, were mycorporate clothes still hanging
on the counter.
It was still hanging on thehooks, right?
Sorry, well, they were kind oflike all of all over the place.
It was half of my closet.
I mean, we're talking about 20years of corporate America.
We're talking about um cardigansand sweaters and blouses from
very expensive places.
I'm talking about like a HugoBoss um like suit and dress,

(13:36):
right?
Like these$500 suits that Ibought during consulting times
because I needed to look like Iwas an executive.
I was an executive, but I had toplay the part.
And so I had these, you know, thousands of dollars worth of
designer clothes in my closet.
In case you're ever wonderingwhy you only see me in t-shirts
and hoodies, everybody.
That was my, that was my attirefor 20 years.

(14:00):
That was my misaligned fuckingattire that does not, you know
me now.
That's not me.
So so those had been sitting inmy closet and I love them,
right?
And I I adore those clothes.
I love those clothes, but it'snot me.
I can, I'm, I can, I can mariecondo this shit.
I can love them and appreciatetheir journey, but realize it's

(14:22):
also not aligned to me.
And so every day when I would goand pick out clothes, there were
my corporate clothes every day.
Um, there were my probably 50pairs of heels every day.
And again, I love them.
I'm not ready to let them go.

(14:44):
But seeing that emotionalclutter, seeing the energy tied
to the corporate clothes that Iliterally wore for 20 years, you
can't remove that energy becausethe physical object is still
there.
And so what I ended up doing wasremoving the corporate clothes

(15:05):
from my closet.
I kept some blazers because Istill like I like wearing
blazers.
Those are fine.
Um, but I removed the blousesthat, oh, give me the, give me
the yuck, right?
I I I put the heels away in abin.
And I know that I'm not ready tototally get rid of those yet.
There's just something aboutthem.
I'm not, I'm not ready yet.
Um, I probably will be.

(15:25):
And by the time that maybe Iwant to wear some of those
clothes again, I'll probably goput them on and they won't fit
or I'll look.
I've had kids, you know, likehips, everybody.
And so um, so I so I box themall up.
I put them up at the top of mycloset, nice and neat, right?
Nice and respectful.
Um and then I literally tookwhat was shoved into half of my

(15:47):
closet in the smallest spaceever, which is um the clothes
that I actually love to wear.
Like the shirt I'm wearing now, right?
Like the badass bitch uh cotton, comfortable clothing.
The swat, the hoodies, the thesweatshirts, the heated vests,
right?
The the things that I truly loveto wear because they're

(16:07):
comfortable.
And I'm sure there will be somesort of evolution in the future
because I'm probably justswinging the pendulum the other
way.
I digress a little bit.
Um, but I was able to take thoseand spread them out and have it
color-coded, right?
Have like all the whites, allthe reds, all the yellows, all
the greens, all the blues allput together, and not having,

(16:28):
you know, two different versionsof my closet that is me and
corporate me.
I literally removed corporate mefrom my closet.
And creating that space was notonly literally happening, but it
was happening the energy too, because once I removed the

(16:49):
corporate energy, I literallyhad entire an entire closet that
felt less stressed, lesscondensed, less chaotic, more
open.
I literally created an expansivespace in my closet for me to be
me represented by my clothing.
I have extra space in my closet, everybody.

(17:10):
What when does that ever happen?
And so this is what I'm talkingabout about clearing out the
energy of the space, right?
Removing the things that nolonger serve or represent who I
am because they are physicalobjects.
Even if I sage it, it does notbe it's not removed.
The energy is still there.
But I did tuck it away, put itout of sight, like put like this

(17:30):
energetic seal on it that I'mnot gonna feel it anymore.
And then not only did I removeit, because I think this is an
important thing to call out,it's okay to remove energy, but
you have to fill it up with thisenergy of what is highest and
best aligned to you.
And a lot of healers don't talkabout this because I don't know
if it makes a lot of sense toeverybody, but if you're going

(17:52):
through healing, if you'reremoving low vibration energy,
you should always be filling itup with the highest and best
vibration energy.
And the reason is because likeattracts like.
That's a universal law, right?
The universal law of attraction.
Like attracts like.
So if I remove low vibrationenergy and I don't fill it up
and I just, it's essentiallythis void.

(18:14):
And what is that void gonna do?
It's gonna suck in the sameenergy that I just removed
because I haven't transmutedthat energy of the space.
I've only removed the oldenergy, but I haven't replaced
it.
And so when you remove energy, you need to replace it with high
vibrational energy.
So what I did in my room is Imade an altar.
And this is wild to me becauseI've been doing this work for

(18:37):
years, but all of mymetaphysical stuff is in the
room I'm sitting in right now.
It's in my office, right?
It's in my workspace.
I haven't really ventured it outinto the other areas that have
maybe a couple crystals here andthere, but not much for the most
part.
But instead, what I did was Itook the books I love.
I took the tarot cards that Ionly read for me.

(18:58):
Yeah, I have those too.
Um, I took some of my mosttreasured crystals, my most
treasured metaphysical objects, and I created an altar in my
room.
Not only that, I took themoonwater, which I have
collected since the verybeginning of my metaphysical
journey.
So has all of the moons in thatmoon water.

(19:20):
Um, I put a plant up therebecause it needed a plant.
And by the time I was donecompiling and bringing all these
things together upstairs, Inoticed inadvertently,
completely accidentally, I hadbrought objects from all four
elements earth, fire, water,air.
And I'll tell you what, thatenergy transformed the space,

(19:46):
removing the old version of me,replacing it with an altar of
all the things I love thatrepresent me now completely
changed the energy and vibrationin my room.
Isn't that wild?
Isn't that wild?
And now I know um I was alsoresearching qi, right?

(20:09):
The the universal energy out ofum Asia.
I don't, I'm not sure whichspecific uh culture, because I'm
not as versed in that.
I'm so sorry, everybody.
But I know that there's like qiin prana, right?
Life force energy.
And and um I I read that qitends to get stuck in the
corners of the room.
Exactly where I put the altarwas the corner of the room that

(20:29):
felt the deepest, the darkest, the heaviest.
And so I literally removed allof that energy and replaced it
with something that representsthe highest and best energy of
me, and it changed the wholeenergy of the room.
Now, I haven't woken up in apanic attack since.
I feel more calm, more relaxed.

(20:51):
My shoulders are dropping as I'mtalking about this.
And so I know for a fact thatthe physical environments that
we are in are going to greatlyimpact our energy as well.
And so I wanted to make thiswhole podcast episode so that
you thought about this too, especially as we're moving again
from a nine year into a oneyear.

(21:11):
Take a look around.
I mean, I think I think thistime of year is absolutely
perfect, if you have time to doso, to start decluttering,
removing.
Like we're in, we are, at leastup here in the Northeast, and
those of us in the northernclimates, we're kind of stuck in
the house for the next sixmonths, you know, for the most
part.

(21:31):
And so what a great opportunityto just take an hour a week to
just go through and two hours aweek to just go through and
start just decluttering andreleasing and releasing and
releasing.
And what amazing way! And I lovethis Marie Kondo idea because
you can give it to somebodywho's gonna value and appreciate
it.
Because the things that you'veoutgrown are the things that
people are starting to gothrough.

(21:52):
So it would be lovely if I couldtake all of my corporate clothes
and donate them to a womanthat's coming out of college, a
woman that maybe is having afresh start, maybe she's just
trying to get a job.
You know, maybe there's there'swomen's shelters I can donate
those clothing to and give thema new wife.

(22:12):
My team in my head just saidthat's exactly what you should
do with those.
Because We need to, we don'thave to give the crap that we
buy on Amazon, everybody.
We don't have to give newthings.
We can give things that honorour loved ones in the next

(22:35):
version of themselves, strangerswith the next journey they have
and giving them things that helpthem prepare for that journey.
That is what we should be doingas a society, is helping people
out in that way.
And so that's really what Iwanted to get on here and talk
about is how clearing your spacecan be part of your

(22:55):
transformation this month.
And I know I'm going to setaside time.
We've already cleaned outanother closet this morning.
I'm going to set aside time tolike every week to just clean
one more thing.
Maybe I'll do a room a week or aroom a day.
You know, this will take meobviously all winter freaking
long.
Um, because with little kids, there's so much clutter.
Not that my kids are little, butwith kids, there's so much

(23:17):
clutter.
And so um, as you're goingaround, you know, maybe it's as
small as identifying a thing aday that no longer represents
you and gifting it, giving away, throwing it away if there is no
additional life use in it.
Um, and don't be afraid to honorit and thank it for serving its
purpose and then letting it gobecause it's helped you become

(23:41):
the person that you are today.
Because you can't bring in newenergy without releasing the old
energy and making space for thatnew energy.
So when you clear your space, you're gonna clear your path
forward.
And I have to tell you, I knowit takes a few hours to clean

(24:02):
sometimes, sometimes it's days,right?
But being able to be done with aspace that has been cluttered
and causing you that additionallower vibration energy is an
instant change, like instantvibrational increase going
forward.

(24:23):
It's like a permanent change, isn't that so cool?
Um, so there you go, everybody.
That is our Saturday specialedition of the Unity Code.
I I do wanna say next week I amgonna focus more on um you, your
evolution.
I want to talk about evolution alittle bit and why it's so
important that we are uh alsosimilarly honoring all different

(24:46):
versions of us.
So stay tuned for that as wecontinue our journey from a nine
year into a one year.
Um, and again, don't forget tosign up for that activation
portal out there.
It's on my website so that youcan get the full boat experience
of energetic clearing andtransmissions and activations

(25:06):
from my team.
All right, I'm sending you allthe love.
I hope you have a wonderful restof your weekend, and I'll see
y'all next week.
Take care.
