God is moving us from transactional mindsets to transformational encounters that prepare us not just to receive blessings but to become capable of holding and sharing them. The real test of faith comes not in waiting but in the moment God starts giving us what we've been asking for.

Podcast.
This is Freedom Friday, wherewe come together to talk about
something that we have unlearnedrecently.
I'm your girl, jaquita.

It has been such a pleasurejust doing these Freedom Fridays
with you guys and just thinkingthrough the goodness of the
Lord All right In the land ofthe living.

He has me unlearning a lotright now, so I'm happy to share
some of that with you guys.

Okay, listen.
So today, the first thing Iwant to talk to you guys about
is God has really been moving methrough a season where I am
learning the difference betweenbeing transactional and being
transformational.
Okay, let me break it down.

(01:11):
Okay, a lot of times in life,right, we have kind of like a
list of things that we've beenwaiting on God to do.
We've been waiting forsomething in our life to change,
to shift, for something to beadded to our lives, right, okay,
some of you are waiting on somein our life to change, to shift
, for something to be added toour lives Right, ok, some of you
are waiting on some more moneyin the paycheck OK, some of us
have been waiting on a spouse OK, we've been waiting.

Some of us are waiting for somekids to be added to the family.
We've been waiting on someweight to drop off the body OK,
there are just things that we'vebeen waiting on some weight to
drop off the body Okay, right,they're just things that we've
been waiting on, and a lot oftimes, we can begin to center
our lives on the things thatwe're hoping will get added or,
in the case of some of us whoare trying to get healthy, we'll

be detracted right, we've beencentering our lives on the
things that we're waiting forGod to do for us right, and a
lot of times, I feel like we getlost in that, and so something
that I have recently had tounlearn is to be able to
separate myself from what God isdoing and allow myself to just

(02:21):
re-encounter who God is right,and the interesting thing about
it is is that these momentsoften don't come in the waiting,
the real test and the realmoment of transformation happens
, the moment God begins to giveyou the things that you've been
waiting for right.
I was thinking that in themoment when I was in the waiting

(02:43):
period that I was going to belike all right, you know, I got
to, I got to change, I got toshift, I got to become.
But it was in the moment whenGod started moving me into,
inching me into the new seasonof my life that I realized I
have to get out of thistransactional mindset and I have

(03:03):
to allow God to build up thistransformational mindset where
it's not just about what he'sadding into my life, but it's
about what he is transforming mein so that I can be able to
hold the things that he's doingright.
So it's not about what he'sadding, what I'm now able to
hold in my hands.

(03:24):
It's about what my mind, thecapacity of my mind, what it can
handle.
It's about the capacity of myheart, how she is interacting
and engaging with what God isdoing.
Those are the points of growth.
My life didn't grow because Godadded the things.
My life began to grow becauseGod increased my capacity to

(03:47):
engage him in a different way,in a new season right and just
like we have to learn how we'regoing to engage with God when we
begin to get those thingsimmediately, I had to learn how
to engage every area of my life.
I had to engage in a differentfashion because the thing I had
been waiting on came, and whenit came, I said this isn't just

(04:11):
something that got added, thisis something that has increased
me.
It didn't just increase my lifeor increase something in my
life.
It shifted me right, and so Ihad to start thinking about how
am I going to use this thing toengage with the kingdom?
How am I going to use thisthing to engage with purpose?

(04:32):
How am I going to use thisthing to engage with ministry?
How am I going to use thisthing to mentor and to counsel
and to give back Immediately?
I want you guys to get preparedto be blessed, but I don't want
you to get stuck on the blessing.
I want you to remember that weare not just going to center

(04:55):
ourselves on what God is doing.
We're going to thank God forwho we are becoming, because
what God is doing in your lifeis so much bigger than the thing
you've been waiting on.
Let me tell you something.
He would not have made you waitfor it if it was not going to
be good.
He will not withhold any goodthing from you.

(05:15):
There's nothing that's beenheld back from you that wasn't
going to make your life betterin the moment.
It was at the right time at theright place, when you were at
the right position that God wasable to bring that thing into
your life.
Because it's not just about thething, it's not just about the
transaction, it's thetransformation, and the biggest

(05:37):
thing that I had to unlearn wasthat God was just trying to do
something in my life.
God is using you as kind of thecatalyst for what he's going to
do in the lives of people aroundyou.
So you have to take whatevervictory you get in the season,
because I want to emphasize toyou today that 2025 is a year of

(05:58):
victory.
It's a year of reset, it's ayear of the voice of God.
It's the is that the thing thathe's putting in your life will
not just be good for you, butthat that goodness is going to

(06:20):
spread like a seed, like aforest, like a garden.
It's going to spread out fromyou.
God is planning something intoyour life that he is intending
to spread out from you.
So, whatever victory he'sgiving you, go give that victory
back to the people.
Right?
If he gave you the victory tobuy a house, I want you to go

(06:43):
and talk to three other peoplethat you know need to be at a
house and I want you to counselthem through the moment.
I want your victory to be aseed inside of a fruit that's
going to produce more seed.
Right, if he gave you a victoryand he put something back in
you?
Right, I want you to spreadthat out.
Right.
If you got a new car, go talkto three people that you know

(07:07):
need a new car.
Right?
Unlearn the idea that thisvictory, that this thing that
God is giving you, was just atransaction between you and him.
This victory that God isplanning on the inside of you
and planning in your life, it'sa victory for the people.
Right.
When God gives you your spouse,don't just sit up in the house

(07:29):
all happy.
I mean, I'm going to sit up inthe house and be happy, but I
want you to take that victoryand I want you to find three
people that you can begin tocounsel through the waiting
period and the blessing of whenyou find your God match and not
just a match, when you foundsomebody that God destined for
you to be with and not justsomebody that you just landed

(07:52):
with for you to be with and notjust somebody that you just
landed with right.
It is time for the victory ofGod to spread beyond just one
individual.
God is giving communalblessings, but it's starting
with you.
Okay, it's not a transaction,it's a transformation.
So, whatever God does in yourlife, say God, how can I use

(08:13):
this to transform the lives ofpeople around me?
And I guarantee you we will seea difference in our communities
.
We will see a difference in ourfamilies.
We will see a difference in ourfriend groups.
We will see a difference in ourworkplaces, because victory
will become a shared experienceand not just an individual

(08:33):
pursuit.
We have to unlearn this ideathat we're chasing after a dream
that's only going to benefit us.
The dream we're chasing afterfor those of us who are chasing
after the purpose and plan ofGod the dream we're chasing
after is something that will becommunal.
It's something that will impactneighborhoods and communities

(08:57):
and cities and states andnations.
You have a nationwide, aninternational, a community
blessing that God is gettingready to hand you.
Make sure you govern it wisely,all right.
