Vanessa (00:00):
Welcome to the Jordan
and Vanessa show.
Jordan (00:02):
I'm Vanessa and I'm
Jordan and today's episode is
called one day or day one.
This was actually inspired by asocial media post I just saw
from Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
Who's like the man.
Vanessa (00:15):
He's incredible.
He's incredible.
I really think he's anincredible human being.
He's done so much and heactually is a really conscious
dude.
Yeah, he's got such anincredible energy.
He's always so excited abouteverything that he's got going
on and it seems like he's got areally great family life and he
really puts a lot of stuff outthere.
Jordan (00:33):
Yeah, totally, he loves
being a dad and he's a really
high output person.
And always has a big smile onhis face.
For the most part he seems likea really above the green line
kind of guy.
So, I wanted to basically justhash out this concept that he
was talking about.
Vanessa (00:49):
I was laying there last
night at like midnight just
trying to turn my brain off fromthe business stuff at the end
of the day, and Jordan waspretty much half asleep next to
me and all of a sudden thisvideo from the Rock showed up
and he was talking about thisconcept one day or day one and
all of a sudden Jordan's eyesopened and he's like, oh my gosh
(01:11):
.
I love that concept, and so wejust decided to come in here and
hash things out.
Jordan (01:17):
Yeah, and the big thing
that I'm trying to capture here
for myself is this idea ofessentially the compound effect
in our time-space reality.
So a lot of times it can feellike we need to go like zero to
60 right away, otherwise we'renot making progress, and the
reality is the compound effectof seemingly inconsequential
(01:40):
decisions made repeatedly overtime in our time-space reality
is actually quite powerful, right, and, like the Rock said,
essentially you want to be in asituation where you just start
the process.
So a little bit about the video.
He was basically talking abouthow a lot of people have things
in their head that they thinkwould be cool to one day
(02:04):
experience, and another goodfriend of mine calls it living a
someday life.
So essentially, someday I'mgoing to do this thing, someday
I'm going to change the body, someday I'm going to make the
money, someday I'm going to makethe career change.
Someday you'll find me on abeach somewhere enjoying myself
in retirement.
(02:24):
One day it's going to be likethis Right.
And when you have that idea inyour mind, it's kind of this
projection out right and you canhash this out with me.
But there's definitely anenergy to pushing something out
into the future but having noactualization game plan built
(02:48):
into today.
Vanessa (02:49):
Right, yeah, and I
think that's because we don't
want to put the pressure on ourcurrent selves, so we're putting
the pressure on our future self.
Jordan (02:56):
Yeah, future guys are
definitely going to figure this
out, for sure.
Yeah, I'll be enjoying that mytime.
Vanessa (03:01):
Right yeah, in the
meantime I'll be here, not
having the compound effect workin my favor.
One of my favorite quotes isfrom Gertha.
We talk about it a lot, but itsays the moment one definitely
commits oneself, then providencemoves too.
So, if you just put that ballinto action, if you start
rolling that ball in thedirection of where you want to
(03:23):
go, then the whole universeconspires to bring that thing,
whatever it is, or that personor that place to you and it
becomes your reality.
But it's kind of like growing ababy, like for humans.
That takes about nine months, closer to 10 months, about 40
weeks, and no part of thatdevelopment would you want to
(03:47):
take out.
Like, say, day 93, like you're93 days into a pregnancy.
It's like you can't, youwouldn't want to change that or
speed up that process.
It just is what it is.
But just because you're notholding a physical, tangible
baby doesn't mean that it's notgrowing inside of you.
Jordan (04:06):
Yeah, that's a great
example.
I actually love that Becauseessentially on day 93, you're
doing the day 93 stuff insideyou, right.
Vanessa (04:15):
That is necessary and
beautiful and perfect.
It's exactly what it's meant tobe to bring you the actual,
tangible manifestation.
Jordan (04:24):
Yeah, totally.
Vanessa (04:25):
The baby at the 40
weeks or however long it is.
Jordan (04:28):
That makes perfect sense
.
In the video he was kind ofbringing back the concept of
that one day which we justdescribed pretty well, back to
basically just flip the wordsaround.
And what if today was day oneof that actualization journey?
So, rather than saying one dayI'm going to experience X, y, z,
(04:51):
what if you flip the words andsaid this is day one of my
actualization journey towardthat future version of myself
I'm?
getting chill bumps thinkingabout it because that really is
how the universe works and ifyou look at the capacity to do
anything in our time-spacereality, there's essentially a
(05:14):
compounding effect where thenext level builds on the
previous level.
So, for example, this morning Idid push-ups and pull-ups in
our garage and there are acertain number of push-ups that
I can do and a certain number ofpull-ups that I can do.
And it does seem that whenever Ihit a wall, it's like that was
your last one, that was the lastpull-up you're going to do, or
(05:36):
that was the last pushup thatyou're going to do, at least in
that rep cadence.
Obviously, you can usually dropdown and do a few more if you
give yourself a break, or youcan pop back up and do a couple
more if you give yourself abreak.
But essentially, my capacityfor push-ups and pull-ups this
morning was about what it was.
But what's happening now, aswe're sitting here, is my body's
(05:56):
repairing itself.
It's becoming stronger, it'sbecoming more capable of doing
push-ups and pull-ups tomorrow, the next day, the day after that
, because essentially, I've nowmade the request of it to do
that, right, right.
So I think one of the coolthings about time-space reality
and how the universe works isthat's happening all day, every
(06:18):
day.
When you think about yourvibration and that deep inner
part of your consciousness, you're constantly basically
compounding on the previousversion of yourself, and it's
happening all day, every day,all the time.
The main thing that I want tocapture the clarity on is that
today's work is today's work.
(06:40):
Work increasing the capacitywithin my physical self now is
essentially going to behappening today based on what
I'm doing right now, what I'mfocused on right now.
So if you tie that back tovibration, for example, how in
(07:00):
harmony am I with that one dayexperience that I want to have?
How in harmony am I with thatsomeday experience that I want
to have?
And what I see a lot of peopledo is they have this one day
idea or this someday life intheir mind, but they're not
doing anything today to getfurther into vibrational harmony
with it.
They just hope that by somemagical event down the road at
(07:22):
some point it's going to be aThursday, 16 weeks and four days
from right now some magicalthing will happen and then maybe
I'll be able to actualize thatexperience.
One of the reasons why so manypeople play the lottery and
things like that is because, they're looking for this one-off
huge event that's just all of asudden going to open the
floodgates to all the things.
But what if it really comesdown to your daily practice of
(07:45):
expanding your vibrationalharmony with that future outcome
that you're attempting toexperience?
and choosing to pull that backinto your moment right now.
This is day one of myactualization journey, and every
day that you wake up justdeciding, I'm going to increase
my capacity to vibrate inharmony with this.
(08:09):
Now I may not be experiencingthat future thing right this
minute, but now I feel like I'mdoing the thing that's putting
me on the journey intoactualization, and now I'm
actually calling it forth intomy physical life experience.
Vanessa (08:24):
And also intentionally
deciding that it's going to be
fun, Like saying I want thisjourney to be fun.
Like this journey from where Iam to where I choose to be, I
decide that that's going to be afun journey.
I think a lot of people tiedifferent things to pain, so
they think that things are goingto be painful, like say you're
50 pounds overweight.
Thinking about the actions thatit's going to take to get from
(08:48):
where you are to losing that 50pounds, that can really feel
debilitating and make you notwant to take that first step in
the direction of just going tothe gym, of just lifting the
weights for a little bit everyday and a little bit longer the
next day.
So it's like if you can tiethose things that you want on
(09:08):
the journey to them, if you cantie that to fun instead of pain,
then that's the game.
Jordan (09:14):
Absolutely.
Yeah, you totally nailed it andyou just like instigated an
idea in my mind of you can dojust about anything for one day,
right?
So if you think aboutincreasing your capacity to do
some sort of physical exerciseor increasing your capacity to
vibrate in harmony with what youwant, increasing your ability
(09:36):
to do anything in the universe, you can basically do what you
can do today, right, right.
And so, for example, thepushups and pull ups that I did
this morning were challenging, but I was capable of doing them
and, in fact, I actually dothink that whenever I'm doing
them, I'm like I'm glad I can doa pull-up, I'm glad I can do a
(09:58):
push-up.
Vanessa (09:58):
I'm really grateful for
this body.
Yeah, I'm grateful for thisbody.
Jordan (10:01):
I'm grateful for the
ability to do what I need to do
now.
That's moving me toward where Iwant to be.
So essentially rather than oneday getting you know, rather
than focusing on one day but notdoing any of the work today,
saying I'm going to do what Ican today.
Vanessa (10:19):
Right.
Jordan (10:22):
Right now, I'm going to
do what I can and I believe that
it's going to, over time, increase my capacity to do more
and more and more, becausethere's this awesome compound
effect where tomorrow'sactivities are going to build on
my progress today.
And the day after that's goingto build on both of those days
and the day after that's goingto build on both of those days,
(10:43):
because you're training yourself, like your stamina and your
endurance.
Vanessa (10:47):
Every time you do those
things, you get better and
better at it.
You're training your vibrationto respond in a certain way and
it gets easier and easier.
So every day you live more ofyour life above the green line
and that becomes the new norm.
That is, your physically fitvibration, your physically fit
body.
Jordan (11:05):
Yeah, you totally nailed
it.
Vanessa (11:06):
So I think where people
kind of fall short or fall off
the wagon on the way to wherethey're trying to go is they
have these expectations ofthemselves and the moment that
the expectation isn't met theperceived expectation for their
own life then they feel likethey failed and they don't want
to continue on the path to wherethey're going.
But like life happens, thingshappen throughout your day and
(11:30):
you can fall below the greenline and you can feel like
you're a failure in reachingyour goals.
But it's like the fact that youtry in things that like that is
the compound effect the morethat you try, the more you're
going in the direction of yourdreams.
Jordan (11:46):
Yeah.
Vanessa (11:47):
The more that you allow
the universe to get a beat on
what it is that you're evendesiring.
Oh, you just nailed it and thenthings unfold for you in ways
that you can't even imagine.
Jordan (11:57):
Totally, and I just had
this concept of vibrational
anchoring come in, which isbasically think about climbing
up a mountain right and, basedon that experience that you just
talked about, a lot of times, what people do is they'll have a
down day or they won't makeprogress one day or they won't
do the workout, or they won't dothe thing.
Vanessa (12:15):
They'll have an
expectation that they didn't
meet.
Jordan (12:17):
Right, and then all of a
sudden now the entire 90 day
thing that they're on, or 180day thing, or this year, you
know whatever it is like, all ofa sudden it feels like you fall
off the mountain and you go allthe way back to the bottom.
But the reality is, if you'redoing this properly and you're
making the advancement that youmake every day, based on what
(12:39):
you're consciously partaking induring the day, and if it's on a
vibrational level, expandingyour vibrational harmony with
the outcome that you're lookingto experience, then imagine
going up a mountain and wheneveryou make it to a certain point,
you're driving an anchor in therock right there and you
basically put it in and you justsay I am here and I've made it
(13:03):
to here, and the last 14 days,28 days, 68 days, 142 days of me
getting to this point is nowanchored in and I'm choosing to
believe that here I am andthat's reality.
You really do make it as far asyou make it and you get to lock
(13:24):
that in when it comes tovibration.
You have the opportunity to justcontinue to practice the
vibration that you'veintentionally developed to that
point and so say you have a daylike that or you don't do
whatever you think you weregoing to do to make progress.
So you just don't feel progressthat day.
You don't fall all the way backto day one.
(13:46):
That's the cool thing.
Like you really do just lock inwhere you are and you get to
try again the next day, tryagain the next day, and I think
we all have these days wherewe're kind of down or out and we
can kind of feel like we'regoing all the way back to the
beginning.
But that's not accurate.
You've made a tremendous amountof progress at this point.
Vanessa (14:04):
Definitely.
I think a really great exampleis you last year, when you lost
30 pounds.
You decided one day that youwere going to make that day your
day, one to your goal.
And even though, like cause, you weighed yourself every day,
even though some days when youweighed yourself you weighed
more or you weighed like maybe afew pounds less, you didn't
(14:27):
give up.
Jordan (14:28):
You had the expectation
that, if I continue to do, these
things, I expect to lose weight, and you did do right now,
(14:48):
today.
That will get me just a littlebit closer to that, and what has
a tendency to happen is, if youcan just make that decision, to
start to capture some ideasabout how you could actualize
this into your reality and startto pull that into your current
moment of what can I do rightnow, today, that will expand me
(15:09):
into a version of myself that'smore in harmony with that right.
And it's really cool being inthe physical universe, because
there are real tangible thingsthat you can do to improve your
body, to improve your financialsituation, to improve your
relationships.
And whenever I say improve, I'mespecially speaking to the idea
(15:32):
of living a more above thegreen line life, around those
things where you're feelingbetter about yourself, maybe in
hopefulness and positiveexpectation, but if you can take
any sort of an action, evenjust a handful of pushups on
your knees or eat some broccoliinstead of a Pop-Tart you know
(15:53):
you just make a couple littlechoices there.
Vanessa (15:55):
Or if it's like if
you're really excited about
finding a partner in your life, even if it's just like getting
into the zone like, just for alittle bit every day, just long
enough to imagine what it wouldfeel like to have a conscious
partner.
Then that is the work that'sgetting you closer to where you
want to be.
Jordan (16:14):
Yeah, exactly, or the
career.
Vanessa (16:16):
If there's a job that
you really want, that's the work
.
Just focusing on what thatwould feel like too.
Jordan (16:21):
Yeah, absolutely.
So what happens when you dothat and you're adopting the
doctrine of the closer I can getin vibrational proximity to
what I want, the more likely itis to actualize in my even those
little tiny actions like wejust discussed, then you can
(16:42):
actually give yourself the giftof hopefulness and positive
expectation, because you mightsay, hey, I saw this crazy
podcast where this guy wastalking about one day or day one
, and I decided to just do todaywhat I could which is the small
, seemingly inconsequential actsthat I believe will get me
(17:02):
closer to where I want to be.
But I believe that if I can dothat right now, today, just by
constantly shifting my awarenessand making a decision to do
this one small, seeminglyinconsequential thing, or maybe
doing a vibrational process likewe have at vibrationfitcom,
yeah, doing a vibrationalprocess.
Vanessa (17:19):
Incorporating a
framework or whatever it is.
Jordan (17:24):
Yeah, literally anything
, any sort of an exercise.
So we're kind of bouncingaround when it comes to like
physicality and then like thevibration fit stuff, but
essentially just whether you'redoing a process to get more in a
vibrational harmony with whatyou want or you're doing
something in physicality, thoseare the same thing actually.
Vanessa (17:40):
Right.
Jordan (17:44):
So, like a great
vibrational exercise, is eating
what you know to be a healthyfood right because and a lot of
this really comes down to yourbelief system.
So if you believe that broccoliis good for you and pop tarts,
twinkies.
Vanessa (17:56):
Twinkies are not right
inherently.
Jordan (18:00):
let's just say they all
had the same nutritional value,
but you believe that thebroccoli is better for you than
the Twinkie.
Well, when you make thebroccoli choice now, you're
basically empowering yourself, saying I made a choice toward
what I think is good for me, soI'm giving myself a win, I'm
checking a box for myself rightnow by making that decision
right.
(18:20):
So, like a lot of times inphysical reality and conscious
creation, people tend to sort ofseparate the two.
Like you're either in your mindor you're in the world, but I
personally adopt the doctrine ofwhen I'm in the world, I'm
actually making a huge impact ofwhat's going on in my mind,
right.
So, I can make these consciousdecisions to take particular
(18:41):
actions and vibrationally theymove me right.
So I can make these consciousdecisions to take particular
actions and vibrationally theymove me forward because now I
can live in hopefulness, positive expectation and maybe
even a little bit higher on theemotional spectrum like joy,
appreciation, love, empowerment.
Empowerment is huge, right,Feeling empowered?
Well, whenever you make thosedecisions and you make those
(19:02):
small, seemingly inconsequentialchanges in your reality, you're
empowering yourself and nowyou're elevating yourself.
So I guess I would say to wrapthis up take the opportunity to
claim those small victories inyour life.
Rather than pushing somethingout as a one-day idea about
(19:23):
yourself when it comes to yourbody, your money, your career,
or maybe some retirement ideathat you have sitting on a beach
somewhere right, Try to pullsome of that back into your
day-to-day, Instead of sayingone day, I will start saying
this is day one of meactualizing that and do what you
(19:44):
can today to get that win andit'll really help you get there
above the green line.
And once you're above the greenline on the topic, consistently
running activation cyclesagainst that new idea about
yourself, now you're really offto the races.
Vanessa (19:57):
Definitely yeah, and
believe in your own power.
And, like I said at thebeginning, that quote, like the
moment one definitely commitsoneself, then providence moves
to.
It's not just you, it's alsothe entire going in the
direction of.
If you say that this is thething that I want and I am
(20:25):
worthy of it.
I deserve it because it is adesire that I have and it will
be mine.
Jordan (20:31):
If.
Vanessa (20:31):
I just the work is just
choosing today as day one.
Jordan (20:35):
Absolutely and choosing
to act today in harmony with
that idea that you have for thatfuture self Right.
If you can act in harmony todaybecause we know we have this
emotional guidance system goingoff in us all the time whenever
we look to make a decision.
If you really pay attention, there will be alarm bells in
your solar plexus that saythat's not getting you closer to
(20:57):
that one-day experience youwant to have, or there will be
bells and whistles going offthat say that is.
Vanessa (21:04):
And in both scenarios
we say thank you for the
guidance.
Yeah, thank you for theguidance.
Jordan (21:08):
And I will choose.
Vanessa (21:10):
Accordingly,
Accordingly absolutely so.
Jordan (21:13):
this is a great episode.
Vanessa (21:14):
Yeah, this was great.
I feel like we did capture theclarity that we were going for,
so with that, we're sending loveand light to all.
