42.4% of adult Americans struggle with obesity and of course this is a driver toward diabetes. 11.5% of diabetes patients also become cancer patients. Whereas 8.9% of people without diabetes become cancer patients. Over 600,000 people die of cancer every year. A significant increase in deaths from pancreatic and liver cancers is estimated to continue in the next 2 decades.
These are scary stats and it shouldn't be this way.
The main reason behind today's episode title is that, when you become a type 2 diabetic you set yourself up for attracting all of these other diseases.
Lifestyle choices can either add more diseases to your life or prevent them from happening. This decision relies ENTIRELY on you and not your doctor or nurse. I know, it can be a tough process but it's been more than proven that it is possible.
