Welcome to the premiere episode of The Vivid Life Podcast ,  where faith, healing, hope, and psychology intersect and collide in the most unexpected ways.

In this foundational episode, we explore a question that echoes deep within the human soul: What does it really mean to live vividly , especially when life feels anything but clear?

Dr. Marcelline Girlie, a dual-certified  family & psychiatric nurse practitioner, believer, wellness educator, and survivor of her own silent storms, invites you into a sacred space where science meets Spirit and the soul is never left out of the conversation.

We unpack the psychological and spiritual framework of healing, the role of faith in the darkest moments, and why your mind, body, and spirit are not separate — they are divinely connected. This is a bold invitation to heal from the inside out.

This isn’t just another podcast, it’s a movement toward wholeness. A bold invitation to heal from the inside out. And Episode 1 is the first light.

Speaker 00 (00:00):
You're tuned in to Vivid Life, the podcast with Dr.
Marcelline Girlie.
We are all in need of healing.
You may not see it now, but Iassure you that you need

(00:24):
healing.
You may ask from what and I'mglad to list those for you.
You need healing frominsecurity, validation,
addiction, attention seekingbehaviors, unforgiveness,
offense, fixed mindset, povertymindset, discontentment, loss,

(00:52):
grief, broken relationships,Dysfunctional eating,
nutritional deficiency,physical, mental, emotional,
spiritual disorders, anddiseases.
Should I go on?
If I haven't listed your areaof healing, I'm sure it will

(01:13):
naturally come up inconversation.
Because we all need healing.
Healing can come in differentways, methods, styles, products,
and substances.
Healing is not always directand definitely not linear.

(01:34):
But one thing for sure, healingis a choice.
And another thing for certain, there is always hope.
I want to present afoundational scripture today,
which is in John 10, verse 10.

(01:55):
Jesus said this, I love thisscripture because it reminds me

(02:16):
that God wants us all livinglife to its fullest.
God wants us all healed andwhole.
He wants us free and filled.
He wants us living life, afull, abundant life.
And it's not about merelysurviving.

(02:40):
It's about thriving in thepurpose, health, and peace that
God provides.
Many believers settle for lessthan what God has called them to
because they don't know thefullness of what's available to

(03:04):
them.
And if this verse were apicture of I would describe it
as bright, engaging, like themost beautiful summer day where
the sun is shining, the grass isgreen, the trees are blowing in

(03:26):
the wind, and every color insight is vibrant.
Everything is vivid.
And that day would be etched inyour memory as the most perfect
day of summer.
Everyone deserves to experiencethe beauty of this day.

(03:48):
All are welcome if they'rewilling to see what God sees.
If they're willing toparticipate and own their part.
And finally, if they arewilling to accept the

(04:10):
opportunity to live the vividlife.
Now you're probably asking, what is The Vivid Life?
Well, it's not just the name ofthis podcast.
The word vivid means intenselybright, clear, and full of life.

(04:33):
It represents something that isdeeply felt, powerfully real,
and richly experienced.
It describes something that isstrikingly distinct, dynamic,
and full of energy.
The vivid life is essentialbecause it aligns with the

(04:58):
divine blueprint of wholenesswhere our minds are renewed, our
bodies are strengthened, andour spirits are in communion
with God.
Yeah.
It's an invitation to livefully awake to God's truth,

(05:22):
healed from the inside out, andwalking out his design.
It is where faith, wellness, and the human experience
intersect, leading totransformation in the mind,
body, and spirit.
So, Welcome to the Vivid LifePodcast, where faith, science,

(05:46):
and psychology collide, wherewellness and spirituality
intertwine, and where listenersare empowered to heal, grow, and
evolve, living the vivid lifeas God intended.
Oh, and I'm Dr.

(06:07):
Marceline Gurley, your host.
I'm a dual board certifiedfamily and psychiatric mental
health nurse practitioner with20 plus years in the healthcare
field, working in various areasand holding various
certifications.
But I won't bore you with myresume.

(06:28):
And if you desire to know moreabout me, feel free to see the
link in the show notes for moredetails.
But one thing I want you toknow for sure is is I've
witnessed healing firsthand.
And I've come to realize that Ineed healing even on my best

(06:50):
days.
And I want healing from theinside to spill over on the
outside.
And that is my hope for all ofyou who have decided to take the
Vivid Life journey with me.
I do want you to know thathealing from the inside out is

(07:13):
not just a hopeful idea.
It is a biblical promise.
Because in Romans 12.2, we'retold, do not conform to the
patterns of this world, but betransformed by the renewing of
your mind.
This tells us that truetransformation, true healing,

(07:39):
begins internally with therenewal of our minds through
Christ.
Additionally, Psalms 147.3says, he heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
This scripture reassures usthat God is deeply invested in

(08:01):
our healing.
The truth I've come tounderstand is is that God
designed us holistically, ourspirit, soul, and body.
And when we align ourselveswith his design, healing flows
from the inside out.
You may be wondering if thispodcast is for you or your

(08:28):
neighbor.
So touch your neighbor and say,I think she's talking to you.
This podcast is for anyone whofeels stuck in cycles of
brokenness, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
It's for those who desire adeeper connection with God and

(08:52):
wants to understand how faithand science work together.
It is for those who are readyto be challenged, stretched, and
ready for transformation.
For those who are willing tosurrender to God's way of
healing or which is not always acommon way that you've
witnessed before.

(09:12):
It will benefit those who arestruggling with anxiety,
depression, or mental battleswho need to see the intersection
of faith and psychology.
It will benefit people seekinghealing in their bodies and
wanting to understand functionalwellness from a biblical

(09:34):
perspective.
It'll also benefit anyonedesiring a deeper intimacy with
God and a better understandingof their divine purpose.
It will also benefit leaders, ministry workers, and
professionals who give so muchto others but struggle with

(09:55):
burnout.
In a nutshell, it's for you.
I pray that listeners will comewith an open mind and a willing
heart, ready to unlearn toxicmindsets and embrace God's truth
about their health,relationships, and purpose.

(10:16):
As Matthew 13, 12 says, tothose who listen to my teaching,
more understanding will begiven to and they will have an
abundance of knowledge.
So my role as your host and mypromise to you is that I know

(10:42):
that God has called me to be avoice at the intersection of
faith, healing, and wellness.
So my role is to inform you bybringing knowledge from both
scripture and science to helpyou understand yourself

(11:05):
holistically.
My role is to educate on howour bodies, minds, and spirits
function and what steps we cantake towards healing.
My role is to encourage throughtestimonies and biblical truths
that remind you, the listener, that healing is possible.

(11:30):
I'm also here to challenge youto shift your mindset, break
limited beliefs, and take boldsteps towards transformation.
I want to inspire you byshowing you real life examples
of healing and growth, provingthat God's power is still at

(11:55):
work.
I hope to enlighten byconnecting faith and psychology,
proving that God is thefoundation of all science and
truth.
The vivid life is not justabout information.
Again, it's abouttransformation.

(12:19):
And no, I won't do this alone.
There's a Haitian saying thatstates, the load is lighter when
many hands are carrying it.
And by the way, I'm Haitian.
I won't be carrying this loadalone.

(12:40):
I will have some amazing andtrusted guests to join me on the
Vivid Life journey, bringingtheir expertise, their insight,
their knowledge, theirleadership, Proverbs 11.14 tells
us, So, I've gathered yourpersonal counsel for you.

(13:11):
So, thank me later.
They too are invested in seeingthose around them live out
their healing with faith and onpurpose.
And one thing, I refuse topretend to know everything about

(13:34):
health and healing.
I refuse to cheat you out ofwhat you need.
So get excited now because theguests this season are bringing
the heat.
And I can't wait to share themwith you.
I want you to know that thisjourney isn't easy.

(13:59):
It's one of necessarysurrender.
It's a time where looking inthe mirror and identifying
something that God needs totouch.
I'm not telling you to have avivid life because it's fun and

(14:20):
cute.
I'm personally walking ajourney where I need vivid life.

desperate need of God's healingtouch in this very season.

(14:44):

I'm an avid juicer and acertified juice therapist to
some.
Juice is a method that I use toheal my body from the inside
out.
And today's shot of healing isone I always find refreshing,

(15:08):

(15:52):
hydration especially during thehot summer months so remember

healthy you are tomorrow solet's toast and close with this
