Winning Against Hunger | VanTran Transformers and the Hunger Hero Challenge to Feed Children in Waco

The competition, hosted by the Waco Shepherds Heart Food Pantry, aimed to bring awareness to the issue of hunger in the Waco community and raise funds to feed children in the Waco ISD school district during the summer months. VanTran Transformers emerged victorious, donating the most money and food of all participating businesses. The Shepherds Heart Food Pantry is the largest Faith-Based food pantry in the Central Texas Area. We can provide roughly 70 lbs of high-quality groceries (produce, meat, bread, and other groceries) for a donation of $5.00. We provide these groceries to people in need here in our community at absolutely no cost to them. Please consider supporting the Waco Community by donating or volunteering today.

The Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry is the largest faith-based food pantry in the Central Texas Area. We are funded by our community's generous donations and volunteering of their precious time.

We also deliver groceries to over 1000 homebound seniors twice a month, provide food to homeless children in the Waco ISD school districts, and we also provide mobile pantries out in surrounding rural areas.
