Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to your go-to source for entertainment.

Wait for it Anime.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
PLUS ULTRA.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Mr Eric Almighty and Phil the Filipino.
Yeah, they've got you covered, and all you gotta do is wait for
it.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
This is the Wait For it Podcast.
Hey, everyone, welcome back tothe Wait For it Podcast.
I am your co-host, phil Barrera, aka Phil the Filipino.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I'm your other co-host, mr Eric Almighty, and
for this edition of what Did IMiss, we had to fill the second
part of the equation.
First we did the co-hosts Nowthe actual hosts of some of our
favorite podcasts within theSuper Bracket Bros cinematic
universe and Phil.
This is long overdue.
Very excited to get into thisone.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, it was only right that we brought in the
other halves of the respectiveshows that were represented a
couple of months back, and itwas a whole lot of fun.
This episode I expect to be atight 45 minutes.
Nobody has any type of flashystory or anything, no game or
anything like that.
We're actually just going toexchange stock tips and be on

(01:25):
our way.
I don't know what do adults do?
I don't fucking know what doadults talk about?
Apr, I don't know Insuranceloans, I don't know.
I'm just throwing out the mostadult words that I possibly can.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Deductible.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Deductible.
Yeah, actually, roth IRA.
There we go.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Jay Bank.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Pasta Jonathan, Jonathan, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Bank.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Bank.
All right, cool.
Well, maybe we're actually offto an even more chaotic start
than we were a couple months ago.
We'll see how it goes.
But, Eric, again very excitedto have our guests, so let's
just kind of go in order.
We'll see how everybody's doing.
Emily, game of Growns, how areyou doing here tonight?
Good to have you here andthanks for coming back on.
What did I miss?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Oh, yeah, of course.
Thanks for asking.
I know Kate had a really greattime and, yeah, it's only a
matter of time until you geteveryone that doesn't.
That normally does all the worktogether and they don't have to
do the work, so this is evenbetter.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
You have a lot to live up to.
Kate cleaned house in Kahoot acouple months ago.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
She is my older sister.
I don't know if that counts ornot, so you will be defending
the Game of Thrones crown.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
when it comes to Kahoot, Eric, I just thought of
this Eventually, because youhave to keep changing the
artwork for this episode.
All six, all six people asguests, for what Did I Miss?
We're going to throw that outthere eventually so we'll see
how that goes.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Please don't dude.
I just like I have like three.
I rebranded the what Did I Missthing on Canva and I was like,
well, we never have more thanfour, so I'm going to go with a
four-person layout and then, figure it out from there.
Now I have like four differentlayouts for this episode.
You never know when we can'tget guests, when we only have

(03:16):
one person, when we get two, andthen now we have three guests,
we cannot do a fourth.
I will quit.
You never know, I will quit.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I will quit Everybody from the Super Bracket Bros
Cinematic Universe, every voiceactor from Dear Fred and Okatan.
We got groups of people tothrow in.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Okay, that's fine, we could do that.
It's just going to be livestreamed and never promoted.
Everybody from.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
GAM will figure it out.
Andrew, friendly neighborhoodgamers, how are you doing here
tonight?
And thanks again for being hereonce again on what Did I Miss.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Hey, thanks for having me.
I'm doing fantastic.
I was just thinking if you hadeverybody from the Super Bracket
Bros cinematic universe, itwould be kind of like when you
plan a Lord of the Ringsmarathon with your friends and
you have to book out the wholeday.
That would be that recordingsession.
It would have to be the entireday and by hour three I don't

(04:06):
think I would have much humorleft in me, or stories I can't
even imagine.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Maybe I think each team would have to present a
story together.
I think that's probably how wewould have to do it.
So maybe just in a really, really busy month, who knows?
Jay Davis, super Ragnarok Brosare the.
What are you to the Super RBracket Bros Cinematic Universe?
Are you the Tony Stark or areyou the Cap?
Who is Jay in the Super BracketBros Cinematic Universe?

(04:33):
Who do you play?

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Wow, this is quite the question to start off with.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Also, how are you doing all that shit?
Oh yeah, all that bullshit,yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
I guess I'm fine.
I guess you know, being invitedtwo months after my co-host,
I'm not offended at all, by theway, of course.
Um, I guess I mean probablynick fury, I like.
I mean I like the okay sewingtogether of our shows, you know,
in weird and in interestingways, and then like conniving

(05:05):
and fooling you all into workingtogether.
You know I love that.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
So that is surprisingly accurate, well, if
you kind of think about it.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
So jay, jay is like who first between andrew and jay
who reached out?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
no, well, here's the thing.
Jay is so important to thewhole universe, but he also
disappears for a long period oftime and nobody can find him, so
it's like perfect it reallydoes work out.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Yeah, no, and and another history lesson.
This, I'm sure has been statedmany times on various podcasts,
but I was the one that sawAndrew's nerdy video game
t-shirts from across the roomback in pod fest 2020 he can see
over everybody else Exactly.
He had the vantage point.
So I made the first call outfor my first superhero there, so

(05:58):
I guess Andrew is Robert DowneyJr, you're?

Speaker 3 (06:01):
right.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Alright, dr Doom.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
How far?

Speaker 3 (06:06):
we've come, that's why you didn't see me actually
is because I was way too low tothe ground and you were just
looking straight ahead and Iprobably walked right underneath
you and didn't notice.
You know how, in the lost worldwhere the motorcycles are
driving through the dreadnoughts, like that was from.
Yeah, exactly yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
Yeah, we need to go back, find the security footage,
and then there's just going tobe Phil riding a motorcycle
Through this hotel in Orlando,florida.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Oh, there he was.
That's crazy.
So anyway, I'm very happy tohave everybody here.
For anyone that's listening tothis episode for the first time,
what did I miss is a very, verycasual just hang out with our
friends and we talk about anypop culture stories that you may
have missed from the previousmonth.
Full caveat we are recordingthis on the 24th, so there is a

(06:56):
possibility that something comesout and something happens
within the next few days, because this episode will
release on Monday, the 28th.
So who knows?
Like I told our guest last timethis happened where we recorded
a little bit earlier RobertDowney Jr surprised everybody at
San Diego Comic-Con.
So maybe this is a way for usto manifest something really
cool and if that happens, you'rewelcome.

(07:17):
Well, I mean the Robert DowneyJr.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I was going to say are you saying that Robert
Downey Jr was really cool?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Some people were excited.
Let that Robert Downey.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Jr was really cool.
That is it.
Some people were excited.
Let's revisit that.
It's current news.
Let's talk about that.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, actually, let's just rewind a couple months and
talk about that.
But this is also for the firstpart of the episode.
For the audio-only listeners, that's totally fine.
We do play a game at the endand it is suggested you watch
over on our YouTube page ifyou'd like to follow along.
But again, totally up to you.
I will do my best to visualizethe questions.
But, eric, anything we need togo over with our guests before

(07:53):
the most important part of theepisode that everyone was super
excited about and did not wantto change minutes before we
started recording.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Now here's the question.
Now here's the question.
If we did a, like a die, howwould that work?

Speaker 3 (08:07):
because I mean, I am open to the idea open to
changing things, but not don'ttell me to do it right before
the episode begins.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I mean, I could die just be like a d10 with a d10,
two people per side.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I don't know what that means I got my ass kicked
in GURPS, so I do.
You know what a dice is?
No, whenever I see a dice table.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
That means I got my ass kicked in GURPS, so I have
no idea what that means.
Do you know what a dice is?

Speaker 3 (08:25):
No, Whenever I see a dice table at a convention, I
walk right on by A D10, what?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
and everybody gets assigned a number.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
No.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Everybody gets assigned two numbers, right, is
that?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
how that works.
Yes, did I do math.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
All right, Phil, I'm going to take over from here.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Okay, cool, yeah, I got this.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
I got this Okay cool.
So the wheel is what wenormally do.
You got a little glimpse of it,but if we could find the three
people who hate the wheel themost, they would be on this
episode, and because of that Ithink it'd be kind of funny.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Yeah, I mean, it's a Google wheel, like it's not
anything special, it's righthere.
Okay, so how do you assignnumbers to somebody?
Is that how?

Speaker 4 (09:05):
this is gonna work out right here.
Yeah, yeah, so uh took teratoma.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
By the way, I'm totally distracted by the nfl
draft.
Right now.
We're also recording the nfldraft, so I will give our
audience updates.
That'll be four days pleasedon't.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Why are we here?

Speaker 3 (09:19):
this episode comes out no, please don't, okay.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Well, this is the best I can do.
Yeah, this will work.
So for this we are going to usethe die and I'll just go based
off of what I see on my screen, because it's already randomized.
So Emily is going to be one andtwo.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Wasn't a ten, a one and a zero.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Is there a zero in here?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
No, hello.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Do we need a?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
ten-sided dice or an eight-sided dice.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
No, it's a ten-sided die there's five people, so
shouldn't it be ten?

Speaker 5 (09:49):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Eric had eight up, so he was going to not include
himself.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
No I had ten up.
It's eight on the die.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Phil, leave the dice to the professionals please,
that's true, thank you.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Okay, so Emily is one and two.
I will be 3 and 4.
Phil will be 5 and 6.
Andrew will be 7 and 8.
Jay will be 9 and 10.
Okay, and then we'll reduce thedie as we go forward.

(10:23):
So then, the next time whensomeone's already gone, we'll go
to the 8, then we'll go to the6, we go forward.
The next time when someone'salready gone, we'll go to the
eight, then we'll go to the six,the four.
I can do math Rolling.
We're going to figure this out.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
The wheel might be simpler.
It might be but you guys askedfor this.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
How are we doing this now?
Are we going to do a drum roll?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Oh yeah, what the hell is this?
Oh, I've got one.
Hold on Ready.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Here we go.
Yeah, let's three, two, oneRoll.
That die.
I love that.
I don't like that, okay.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
What would you?

Speaker 4 (10:54):
guys prefer the drum roll.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I don't want to do a drum roll.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
No, I can Roll that die.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Roll that die.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I love that.
Okay, that's what we're goingto do.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
We're going to do the drum roll.
Drum roll into roll that die.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Roll that die.
Are you guys ready?
This is the Patreon part.
Right?
This is the pre-show.
Nope.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
We're here.
I pulled up the soundboard thatwe haven't used since the end
of year awards.
That was in December.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, will.
Awards that was in December.
Will you just actually playsomebody's end of year awards
submission?

Speaker 4 (11:25):
I could do that.
Would you guys like to hearabout Andrew's artist of the
year?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
The second category that I would like to hear about
would be artist of the year.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Okay, I only clear it out at the end of the year.
We only use it for that episode, alright I love it.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Let's the end of the year.
We only use it for that episode.
All right, I love it.
Let's change up the formulacompletely.
When you hear the drum roll end, we're going to say roll that,
die.
Are you guys ready?

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
All right Ready.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Roll that die.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Is it rolling?
I clicked it off.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
Nine, that's me well, I just want to say thank you to
everyone who believed in me forleading this revolution of
defeating the wheel, and it'sbeen an honor.
I'm so, so happy.
Um, now onto my first story.

(12:31):
Uh, you guys, probably this islike not a very well-known story
, but you might have heard thatthe vice president of the united
States assassinated the Popethis month.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
This was fact-checked .
Why are you doing this?
I think it's.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Where are you going with this?
The people need to know.
Hey Grok, did that happen?

Speaker 5 (13:01):
No, I actually wasn't going to make the joke, but
then I was on such a high fromhaving one that died first.
So, no, my real story isactually probably something that
no one has heard of besidesmaybe Emily.
Actually, I think Emilyprobably is aware of this, but
I'm a recent subscriber to a newkid on the.

(13:22):
It's been around for a fewyears now but it's new to me.
Dropout TV is a fantasticstreaming service.
It's sort of this amalgamationof comedians that come together,
do various shows.
It's sort of like a.
If you have no frame ofreference, you've never heard of
Dropout TV.

(13:42):
Think about like whose line isit anyway?
But like times a hundred.
You know they have a ton ofdifferent shows, a ton of
different styles in which theycompete.
Compete against each othercompetes a very strong word for
dropout tv um, but it's awonderful streaming service, um,
that is led by awesome people.
The number one person is samreich, who has kind of become

(14:05):
this person that I really admirefor how he does business and
how he talks about things andhow he leads his company.
But specifically this month theyfell victim to something that a
lot of streaming services havefallen victim to recently and
that's having to increase theirprices, but they went from an
astounding $5.99 to $6.99.

(14:27):
And I just want to give them ashout out for being an
incredibly affordable streamingservice and in a time where
they're creating somethingthat's worth, in my opinion,
much more than $6.99 a month.
They haven't raised theirprices for several years this is
, you know, since 2022, I thinkthis and I mean with how much

(14:52):
the cost of everything has goneup.
It's pretty amazing thatthey've held off for as long as
they have, and so this wasamongst all of the things that I
could have picked this month.
That didn't feel good.
The politics of the world aresort of bearing down on my head,
especially as it invadesentertainment with tariffs and

(15:16):
things like that.
You have board game companiesclosing, but Dropout TV is true.
It's so much fun, I love it somuch and I just want as many
people to support as I can.
So I wanted to use thisplatform to shout them out, but
unfortunately, they did have toincrease their prices, but I
mean in the least price gougingway possible.

(15:37):
You know, very honest, verytransparent through the whole
process.
So that's my story of the month.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
In addition to that, they actually only raised it for
new subscribers.
Yes, Everyone who waspreviously subscribed, stays at
the $5.99.
And it was like a cutoff pointuntil and so they were telling
people hey, if you want to notget the higher price, sign up
right now, You'll be an oldsubscriber and it won't increase
.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Yeah, no, just all around super consumer friendly,
and thanks for that.
That totally escaped my brain.
So Dropout TV made a little bitof news this month and that was
what I wanted to bring to thetable.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Hell yeah, I love that.
I have not checked outpersonally Dropout TV, but I
have seen, of course, gameChanger over on social media and
Smarty Pants which is like, because I love PowerPoint
parties, like this was made forme, so I very much love that.

(16:35):
But yeah, sam, I see a lot ofclips as well, of just kind of
like behind the scenes stuff ofhow he operates that show.
And it's just like you can tellso much love and care goes into
it.
And when you're talking aboutimprov, specifically to give all
of those people a um, aplatform is awesome and when I

(16:58):
know like improv is is kind oflook in terms of like in the
comedy world sometimes can bekind of looked as like the
redheaded stepchild, but like itis so much fun when it's done
correctly and when it's donewith the right people.
So really really love this andy'all have to look into this.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Andrew, what was your knowledge, if any, about
Dropout?
I just learned that they raisetheir price if you're a new
subscriber.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
I've never heard of this before at all, so I one of
the people that jay is trying tospread the word to, we'll have
to find some good clips and sendthem your way, because they are
, uh, especially a game changerwhen it's on like it is so good.
So, uh, eric, what about you?
I know I've definitely sent youGame Changer clips, for sure.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
No, game Changer clips are always on my TikTok
for sure.
So I did not know that this wasa thing, like I didn't know it
was a subscription service, andI mean at that price, I mean
that's not a lot in the grandscheme of things, when you
consider Netflix and how muchthey increase all the time.
I love the incentive forexisting subscribers.

(18:08):
I think that is really reallysmart.
I think more companies shoulddo that, like reward the people
that are sticking around and notpunishing them.
You're going to make enoughmoney with the price increase on
your new subscribers.
Don't lose your existing base, and I think for what I'm
imagining dropout is, in thegrand scheme of things, they

(18:29):
probably can't afford to lose awhole bunch of existing
subscribers to jack their pricesup, and a dollar is not really
jacking it up, but the way thatpeople feel these days, you know
that could really be looked atthat way.
So I think, out of anything, Ijust really appreciate that
approach because we don't seethat almost anywhere else.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Also, Brennan is the other one I see on my real life.
Eric, all of the Batmanepisodes are on here.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Okay, well, we might have to.
It was everyone from College.
Humor, basically.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
I was just going to say is there a lot of college
humor stuff?

Speaker 4 (19:07):
okay, yes, absolutely yeah, I think, like again, it's
going to start coming down topricing when it comes to what
streaming services you want tokeep.
So if people are looking forcontent at a decent price, this
is a great place to be.
I mean, phil, what is ApplePlus at?

(19:29):
Isn't it like $10?

Speaker 3 (19:30):
It's definitely gone up.
It used to be one of the bestpriced, but it is no longer that
.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Yeah, it's definitely not one of the best, but it's
still pretty decent Compared towhat I pay for Netflix and never
use it.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
It's still pretty good, but I think I might pay.
I'm getting up there what I payfor Netflix and never use it.
It's still pretty good, but Ithink I I might pay.
Yeah, I'm getting up there withApple TV.
It's probably close to probably15, $20 now, so, and it wasn't
that when it started out.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
So I could have sworn it was 10, but yeah, no, I mean
again.
I just wonder what it's goingto be in the grand scheme of
things, as far as versus theprice and when you've got a
company like Netflix.
Netflix is the big criminalhere in my opinion, but Apple
has always been the one thatstood out to me.
Out of all of them.
That has been, at least for thequality that you get been the

(20:13):
best priced.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Emily, what other?
Do you have any othersuggestions other than the ones
that people have probably seenon social media like Game
Changer and Smarty Pants?
Any of these other ones thatyou suggest people check out?
Media like Game Changer and?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Smarty Pants, any of these other ones that you
suggest people check out.
Not really for you, mrI-don't-know-what-a-dice-is, but
they have Dimension 20, whichhas, I would say, revolutionized
live, play D&D, and they haveprobably at least 20 campaigns
out there, all of differentgenres and characters and

(20:47):
improvisational artists andeverything that.
And Brendan Lee Gulligan, alongwith other GMs, is a great
storyteller.
So, excuse me.
So there's that, gosh.
Another one they just did oneabout food called Gastronauts.
About food called Gastronauts, and it's where they take
professional chefs and threecomedians give them insane tasks

(21:08):
like make me a thing that, ohBrennan's was like make me the
biggest meal ever, like justlike the biggest thing you can
make.
That tasted good.
Or one of them was like I wantto eat it like out of a cone or
something.
It's just like.
And these chefs have to do it.
You know, because they're inthis competition, and then you
know, at the end there's awinner.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
Yeah, what finally broke the straw, that broke the
camel's back for me was seeingthe clips of the recent season
of Game Changer and seeing theone year later episode that
Jacob Wysocki and Vic and Louhad to do.
They were given tasks that theyhad to complete over the course
of an entire year and come backand present the results in an

(21:52):
entirely different episode tojust incredible results.
It was overwhelming.
Instagram, youtube shortseverywhere I get bits of my
reels and TikTok adjacent things, um, and so I I had to.
I was like I've seen most ofthe episode.
At this point, um, I just needto support these people and and

(22:15):
yeah, it's wonderful, it'swonderful.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, and the good part of social media too.
As someone you know who, whodid stand up for a long time, uh
, just to be able to put peoplereally, really talented, really
funny people out in front in astreaming service is awesome.
So I see a lot of these people.
I'll see them on Game Changerand then I'll see their stand up
clip later and then that's agateway to get somebody into
their show wherever they tour.

(22:40):
So, because comics areconstantly touring.
So if you see somebody on therethat you think is funny,
chances are, uh, they've gotsome other channel, they've got
a youtube channel, they've gotsomething.
They do stand up.
So look them up and you knowyou might be able to see them,
uh, in person for sure.
So, yeah, I love that story, jay.
What great, great way to start.
Uh, start out.
What did I miss, eric?

(23:00):
You want to bring back in thischaos you've created?

Speaker 4 (23:06):
I did not create it.
I did not create it, so now yousay it like we don't already
have a plan.
Oh God, we already have a plan.
What happens now?
No so we use a 10-sided diebecause we had five people.
Now we have four people.
So we're going to use theeight-sided die and we are just

(23:27):
going to keep the numbers.
We're just gonna keep thenumbers a hundred percent.
Emily's one, two, I'm three,four, you're five, six and
you're seven, eight.
All right, drum roll and thenroll that die, let's go.
I already forgot about the drum.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
you don't have to do the drum roll, I have to.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Roll that Die.
Look at that.
All right Throwing the eightout there.
Four.
That's me, yep Me, no, you haveto say it confidently.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Don't show weakness in front of Phil.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
That's right, All right guys.
So it's actually funny.
This was a story I wasconsidering bringing up because
I think it's both extremelyintriguing and also ridiculous,
and the fact that we have Emilyhere is perfect from Game of
Thrones Because, if you didn'tknow, Time magazine had
announced the return of the direwolf.

(24:20):
I did not know, number one, that a dire wolf was even real,
so I was very confused.
But upon reading the Timearticle, this is in fact true.
Romulus and Remus are doing whatpuppies do chasing, tussling,
nipping, nuzzling but there'ssomething very un-puppy-like

(24:41):
about the snowy, whitesix-month-olds their size, for
starters, they're alreadymeasuring about four feet long,
tipping the scales at 80 pounds, and they can grow up to six
feet and 150 pounds.
With these two particular direwolves they had roamed an

(25:01):
American range that extended asfar south as Venezuela and as
north as Canada, but they'vebeen pretty much extinct for the
last 10,000 years.
So they've been brought back, and this is all in an effort
from a company called ColossalBiosciences that is essentially
trying to de-extinct certainanimals while also preventing

(25:24):
the extinction of animals today.
So some of the animals thatthey're considering bringing
back on their wishlist is awoolly mammoth and the dodo bird
, also a Tasmanian tiger.
So these are all things thatare now apparently within reach,
with this dire wolf beingbrought back.

(25:45):
And again, I think it'sinteresting because the whole
point that they're doing thisfor the one of the reasons that
they're saying they're doingthis is they can also, in their
research, prevent the extinctionof animals that are near
extinction today.
That sounds great, but all I canthink of is Jurassic Park,

(26:06):
right, Like it feels like we'regetting closer to a reality
where that movie is not so muchfictional.
And I'm very curious becausewe've got a big Jurassic Park
fan.
The dire wolf itself with Emilyand then just all of us in
general I think would bring aninteresting perspective to this
because for real this is like areally cool and awesome

(26:30):
achievement for like mankind, but also maybe the start of our
extinction.
So I'm just curious.
You know, just to switch gears, what we're thinking.
Phil, I will throw it to youfirst as the resident Jurassic
Park fan.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, well, we also have Jay here as well, so both
of us can very confidently speakabout this topic.
No, it is very cool, although Iwill say, as far as, like the
woolly mammoth I watched thatwoolly mammoth documentary in
middle school that they weretrying to clone the one they
found in ice years ago and thatnever happened.
So the fact that this didhappen is cool, and I didn't
even think about the idea of ithelping preserve animals that

(27:10):
are on the verge of extinctionnow.
So, yeah, it is really neat.
You know you do risk, you know, running down a slippery slope.
As much as I would love for itto happen, no, dinosaurs are not
coming back, unfortunately.
As much as I would love for itto happen.
No, dinosaurs are not comingback, unfortunately.
But stuff like this the dodo, tasmanian tiger, stuff like that

(27:30):
, you know, animals like that wecould maybe see, like, if this
continues to, you know, evolveas far as the science and the
technology, I think it'd bereally, really cool.
I'm just anxious to see howlarge these wolves can get once
they are fully grown and whathappens next.
So the science behind it isreally, really cool.
But yeah, you know it does.

(27:52):
I think some people think itdoes open up like kind of a
morality thing, but also like alot of these things are gone
because we suck.
So I think it's really cool andI'd go to like some kind of
these things are gone because wesuck, so I think it's really
cool and I'd go to.
I'd go to like some kind of zoowith just extinct animals.
That'd be great yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
And Emily, what about you?
How are your feelings?
You got very excited when Ibrought up the story, so you
must've heard of it.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
You stole my story.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Oh no, oh sorry.
I should have also known thatyou would have the dire wolf
story.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Oh my, God, this is your chance.
No, it's fine.
I will add on to this because Iread the Hollywood Reporter
article about it and it was veryin-depth and it taught me a lot
that I did not know.
Number one the picture on theIron Throne.
Did you guys?

Speaker 3 (28:49):
know, peter Jackson purchased the Iron.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Throne that they used in Game of Thrones.
That's insane to me.
I didn't know that, but ittracks.
I was just going to say thatmakes sense.
It does.
But I was just like, wait, they're not still using it.
He just took it.
Okay, they're still making shit.
He loans it out to them now.
He might.
Who can say but yeah, thiswhole, and it goes really into
the company of ColossalBiosciences, which is run by a
tech entrepreneur and a Harvardgeneticist, but their funding is

(29:14):
the Hemsworth brothers, parisHilton, seth Green, joe
Manganiello Like these arecelebrity funders, in addition
to other people.
It's only it's only afour-year-old company and it's
just getting really like, themore that I read about it, it
just feels really like a PRstunt, cause they there's a

(29:36):
quote from one of the guys thatsays Colossal is the perfect
fusion of art, science and magic, and I'm like like what the
fuck are you on that?
Like I'm sorry, this isbullshit.
I I was really excited when Ifirst heard about it, um, but
now I'm really kind of concerned, um, and also as far as like
the other animals, they saidthey didn't clone it.

(29:57):
They mapped the genome from areally old tooth and skull and
so it's the most significantgene editing, but it's not a
true clone.
So some people are like arethese just designer wolves?
It says.
In addition, they also clonedtwo litters of red wolves which
are close to being extinct.
But yeah, I don't know.

(30:17):
And their whole thing is thisis new money in conservation.
That wasn't.
You know, that wasn't put outbefore, because all these
celebrities are a part of it.
But also, like it also saidthat they're like open, sourcing
their technology so otherpeople could use it.
So I'm just, I'm really, I'mreally more concerned.

(30:37):
I was really excited about wolfpuppies, but now I'm just like
maybe this is really bad and weshould not be doing this right
now.
So, yeah, I'm kind of torn, Iyeah.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
I don't I don't like the open sourcing.
I don't want to be able to typein a chat.
Gpt, how can I recreate Xanimal?

Speaker 3 (30:59):
yeah, a J Jen didn't want to share its technology.
That's the whole reason.
Like bio sin was like.
That's not great.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
No, not great at all no.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Yeah, it's a.
It's tough.
I do now feel bad, Emily, thatI stole your story.
Do you have a backup?

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I do.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Okay, I'm really glad that everyone came prepared.
But yeah, that I do.
Okay, I'm really glad thateveryone came prepared, but yeah
, that was my and Emily's story,phil.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Andrew, which animal do you want to see brought back
from extinction?
I mean, if they went extinct, then I guess that was just where
they were supposed to go.
It is what it is.
Everybody.
It is what it is.
Yeah, everybody's worried thatlike uh ai is gonna take us into
the like terminator future, butwe're all excited about going
into the jurassic park future.
Like I don't, I don't know thisI'd much rather die via t-rex

(31:54):
than than a robot than robotyeah, I mean yeah, next it'll be
umbrella corp.
we'll see which one like risesto the top first.
I mean like eric, when I firstread the headline I thought it
was interesting and cool, butthen I didn't go as deep as
emily did with, like, herresearch, but it was still kind
of that.
There was just that underlyingfeeling of is this good like?

(32:19):
And then when you startedmentioning like celebrity funded
and stuff like that, it waslike, uh, I don't know about
this.
I mean, should we be?
I mean Dr Frankenstein creatinglife Like none of these stories
end well, so one of thoseHemsworth brothers definitely
has a dire wolf at home rightnow.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Right, it's definitely Chris.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
It's it they joined for the Tasmanian tiger.
Ah, that makes sense.
They want that one, they'reAustralian.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Obviously yes.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Interesting.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Yeah, I mean I'd spend that type of money.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I'd spend that type of money.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
I don't know, what do you want?

Speaker 4 (32:58):
It'd have to be something really cool, though
I'm sure there's a really coolextinct animal that would come
to mind.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Eric's like chat GPT really cool.
Extinct animal.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Yeah, really Cool.
I believe the last time wetalked we did confirm it does
kill an animal when I chat GPT.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
So that's unfortunate .
Yeah, so one life for anotherChat, gpt.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Why don't you just Google it and someone will have
a list?

Speaker 4 (33:22):
No, I was Googling.
Google just brings up the.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
AI results anyway, that's true, woolly.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Mammoth Dodo Yatai.
Listen the first three on thislist of top 25 most interesting
are.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Woolly.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
Mammoth Dodo.
Tasmanian Tiger Megalodon.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Yeah, Megalodon will be dope.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
It's a.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Megalodon.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Sabertooth is seven.
Oh, I don't like this one Allright, let's scrap this episode.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Let's tier list extinct animals actually.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
No, yeah, I don't think I care this much about
animals.
Let's bring back like.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
No, what was that?
Say that again.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
There's like a really big tortoise here.
No, no, no.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
What was that sentence?
You said I don't really careabout animals.
Is that what you said?

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Yes, I might have said that, okay, I just want to
confirm this is recording right.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
It is what it is, Pete is going to show up at Bold
Mastery now.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Thanks a lot.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
It is what it is.
I Thanks a lot.
It is what it is.
I'm sorry, anyway, dice Dicetime.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Which extinct animal could roll dice the best?

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Let's move on.
We are now going to move overto the six-sided die.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
What's my number now?
Okay, chill.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Emily's one and two, you are now three and four what?
And Andrew will be five and six.
So let's get ready.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
That was the wrong drum.
It was the right drum for thetime, oh, okay.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Now it will be.
Hold on, we don't have enoughlaughing.
There we go.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
We'll get more podcasts to record in front of a
live studio.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
So how many people listened to these episodes just
out of curiosity?

Speaker 4 (35:19):
They stopped right about now We've got a drumroll.
Remember we were going to justdo the wheel as a reminder to
the audience.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah, Eric is punishing Jay right now.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
All three of you.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
You all asked for the wheel to be gone.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
I just voted.
That's true.
Alright, drumroll, guys Roll.
Did you guys forget step five?

Speaker 1 (35:49):
it's andrew oh man, I guess I should look up a story
real quick probably you alsotook my dire wolf story oh, I
hope you guys have backups.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
I really didn't think anybody was going to pick that
one.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
So I come from the gaming world, so most of mine
are gaming related, and thebiggest news story of this month
was obviously the last of usgetting released again Another
version specifically for Phil.
He's one of the only peoplethat's probably going to buy it,
so we have to we definitelyhave to bring that up, but no,

(36:26):
that that's not my main story Ihave.
I honestly thought we wouldtalk about the switch to before
it got to me, so I don't know ifI want to use that story, but
we got all the switch toinformation this month, so I
suppose that would be a goodstory to talk about.
They announced the release datefor it.
They announced the price.
They announced that Mario Kartwas going to be $80 or $90 if

(36:49):
you want a physical version.
They announced that certaingames would be getting updated
versions on the new Switch, likethe Breath of the Wild and
Tears of the Kingdom are bothgetting updated versions, which
you get for free if you pay fortheir online service.

(37:10):
But then other games like Kirbyand the Forgotten Lands are
getting additional content andstuff, and Mario Party Jamboree
is getting a whole bunch of newminigames that work with the
mouse functionality and the, thejoy cons and stuff like that,
and so those are going to costmore money.
So it was a really interestingkind of whiplash effect, I feel

(37:31):
like across the gaming community, because we've been waiting for
the switch to to be officiallyannounced for six years I feel
like I've been hearing rumorsabout it since 2019 at least and
then they did like the switcholed, and then they did, or they
did the like switch light, thenthey did the switch oled, and

(37:52):
then so we're finally gettingthe official announcement.
It looks cool.
It's bigger.
The joy cons seem like they'regoing to be a little bit nicer.
They connect in a really coolway like tech.
Technologically the devicelooks cool, looks like a nice
upgrade.
I mean it the screen is not ledor it's not oled, but it's

(38:14):
really nice and it it runs at uh, like 60 frames, it's 1080p
like.
Overall just seems like areally nice piece of hardware.
Then they start announcing thegames and the things that are
going to be like updated for thenew version.
Then they announce the liketech demo that is going to cost
money and then the informationdirectly from nintendo in their

(38:42):
presentation ends and we startto like get this trickle of all
of the stuff coming after itabout the price of games, the
fact that some games are justgoing to be digital codes on the
card, like all of the kind ofbad news came in after the
direct itself had ended and soit was like this really weird

(39:02):
whiplash effect to watch in realtime of like peak excitement
turned into kind of like peakoutrage within an afternoon.
And I'm still torn about theswitch too, like I didn't today,
I think.
Today pre-orders in americawent live.
I didn't try to fight for one.
I don't know that I'll get oneday one.

(39:26):
I feel like the console itselfis priced pretty fairly for what
it is, but it's the stuffaround it that is a little bit
more egregious.
Um, but they also announced anew from software game that's
exclusive to this console.
So that makes me more torn.
Like I kind of have to get thisconsole, but then it's not like

(39:46):
a true From Software game, it'slike a multiplayer extraction
kind of game.
So do I really need to?
So it was really just.
It's a big story that couldprobably be broken out into like
multiple little stories, butit's definitely something in the
gaming world.
It was probably the biggestthing that happened this month.

(40:07):
I mean, like Phil said, we'llprobably get some massive earth
shattering news once we stoprecording.
But at the time of recordingthe switch to official
announcement I mean it's comingthis year all that kind of stuff
was a big deal.
And then there was just a lotof discussion around the

(40:28):
decisions that nintendo made, because they they came out and
they said that they're going tocharge that extreme like price
hike for mario kart, whicheverybody knows.
Like if you buy a nintendoconsole you have to buy the
mario kart to go with it.
It's like it has like thenumber one attach rate to any of
their consoles, especially theSwitch.
But then they've also come outand said like well, some other

(40:51):
games aren't going to be thatprice.
Like we're going to try to,we're going to evaluate this on
a game by game basis.
But Nintendo is notorious fornever letting their games go on
sale.
So it's just this whole biglike a lot of people have
brought up.
You know the state of politicsand tariffs and all that stuff
right now.
But at the end of the day I'mpretty sure if the world was as

(41:14):
calm as could be, nintendo wouldstill be doing this because
they know they can get away withit.
They're the company thatreleased three of their most
popular Mario games in acollection for like a three
month period and then pulledthem from shelves.
So I don't think you can blamethis on the state of the world.
I think this is 100% Nintendodoing Nintendo things because

(41:37):
they know they can get away withit and they know that they're
like they're not only theirdie-hard fan base but also just
the kind of niche community likeslice of gaming that they serve
.
They're like kids and familiesand not so hardcore gamers.
Like they're gonna kind of doit either way.
But I'm curious to see how, like if this has any sort of

(42:00):
negative effect on them as acompany and if it trickles out
into the rest of the industry, like if we start seeing ubisoft
try to put 90 price tags ontheir base games and then like
nobody's gonna buy those gamesat launch because they go on
sale in six months anyways.
So it's just a reallyinteresting like it's been an
interesting couple of years ingaming anyways with prices and

(42:22):
live service and just it feelslike we're very much in a
transition period where thegaming industry is trying to
like restructure and figureitself out post-covid and now
nintendo has just kind of thrownanother wrench into all of that
, and so that that is the thenews story.
Like I pulled the ign articlebut like I haven't even looked

(42:45):
at it.
This is just all kind of my ownpersonal thoughts and things
that I've been thinking aboutsince they've, since this
happened, which was, I don'tknow, pretty early in in april
at this point it's been a fewweeks, so I'm curious to hear
what you guys think about allthis.
Like, obviously, my co-host andI we've talked about this on
our show, because that's what wetalk about, but I haven't
talked with any of you about it,so yeah, let's throw it over to

(43:09):
jay first.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Jay, what do you think, um, in terms of what's
going on with the switch 2?
Did you have any uh desire totry and snag one here today, or
are you keen to wait?
And yeah, and also, what do youthink about?
You know some of the otherstuff that andrew mentioned
there too yeah.

Speaker 5 (43:23):
So this is like this is episode worthy topic, which
why you did an episode on it.
So like there's a ton to likedigest here.
Um, also, with my personalinvestment, which is absolutely
none, um, I lightly consideredit.
Um, but that might.
But my current switch worksfine.
My current switch fills therole of a slay the spire machine

(43:46):
, um, just fine.
Um, like I, I like, and I playedtears of the kingdom on it and
like that.
It still worked great and Ihaven't finished it yet.
So, like I, I have nintendothings to like go back to when I
crave them, and I have ahandheld device that works
really well.
Currently, um, one of the joycons doesn't work the best, so,

(44:07):
but anyways, moving on from that, moving on to the, the switch
to, I do agree with Andrew thatI do think that this is just
Nintendo doing Nintendo things.
If anything, like the fact thatit's not more money is proof of
how resistant nintendo is tothe rest of the world.

(44:27):
You know, because, like theplaystation shit, I don't think
sony could do the same thingnintendo is doing right now with
a new playstation right you saythat, but what did they charge
for the ps4 or the ps5 pro?

Speaker 1 (44:39):
like I don't know that anybody bought it, but it
was ridiculous no, well, that'swhat that's.

Speaker 5 (44:44):
What I'm saying is that if the World Affairs were
happening and they wereannouncing the PS6 and it was
going to be $500, it would be$700 because of how the world is
today.
That's what I'm getting at.
I think Nintendo's in a uniqueposition to be able to withstand
this.

(45:04):
They've been a company for 100years now for an extraordinarily
long amount of time pre-videogames and so they can do
whatever they want.
They can test the markethowever they see fit.
I don't like it.
I'm not a fan.
I would love to play the newMario Kart game, but chances are

(45:25):
I'm never going to on my ownSwitch.
You know like I will go andlike if somebody else happens to
own it, or maybe, you know, infive years, like the, I can rent
it from the library.
That is my only opportunity toplay this game realistically.
So it's just not a priority forme.
Like there's a ton of otherthings that I'm going be like

(45:45):
that I'm gonna spend my money onfirst, and you know it, it
sucks, but I mean, it's it's.
I can blame nintendo becausethey're being like power, hungry
, money, grubby company.
Um, you know, I know like theyhave to make a profit.
But but by God, they've made somuch goddamn money already.
You really, this is what you'redoing, so it makes me upset

(46:09):
when I think about it, but Idon't think about it because I'm
not going to buy it.
So that's where I'm at.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Yeah, same here.
I don't have any investedinterest in the Switch.
I sold my Switch like a yearago because it was just
collecting dust and I also I didhave Mario Kart, but I don't
know when I bought it.
I think again it just kind ofsprouts out of somewhere or
Amazon orders it on its own andthen it shows up at your

(46:39):
doorstep and you still have topay for it.
So, because I definitely didn'tplay Mario Kart for my Switch.
So the only things that couldthat would interest me in
getting a Switch 2 are if thenew Pokemon game is good and a
new Animal Crossing, and neitherone of those things are a given
.
I mean, animal Crossing is whyI got the Switch Lite and then

(47:00):
when I got the regular Switch, Ireally didn't play it too much
and honestly, with being moreinvested in PC gaming than ever,
I'd much rather get a SteamDeck.
If I were going to get ahandheld, I would just pay maybe
$100 more for an OLED SteamDeck as opposed to getting a
Switch.
So yeah, I echo everything youguys just said.

(47:22):
No matter what would be goingon in the world, nintendo would
be doing this.
It's even more evidence thatGTA 6 is probably going to be
$100, and Ubisoft is going totry and do this with some sort
of game Watch Dogs 4, far Cry 9,I don't even know what they're
on.
It's going to be like some kindof ultimate edition.

(47:44):
They're going to put all theWatch Dogs games together for
$150 or some nonsense like that.
It's going to be ridiculous.
So, eric, I know you guys have aSwitch and you're a little bit
newer to Switch ownership, butit's more so with your son, and
I don't think you really evertouch that thing.
So, switch, I will say ourbuddy Jay, my co-host over at
Touchdown Jaguars, he got one.
He got a pre-order in prettyeasily too, so he got one, but

(48:09):
he is very much a Nintendo gamer.
So, yeah, how are you feelingabout all this?
And is a Switch 2 in play inyour house?
You know, it seems like yourson is pretty content on the PS4
right now.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
So you know, don't think you need switch 2.
No, and I just moved, uh, Ijust moved my xbox into his room
, the series s that I don't play, because now I play game pass
on my pc.
It very which we'll talk aboutthe craziness of game pass in
general uh, and didn't make thecut, but this month has they've
been on fire and I think it'sjust more of a reason to not

(48:41):
want the switch.
To be completely honest, wehave a switch light but he
barely plays it.
He just does not play.
He'd prefer his tablet, uh, asfar as doing something like,
just like right there on thecouch or something.
But yeah, he's been getting intoa lot of different things, uh,
right now, uh, which has beenreally cool to see.
And I think the switch I don'tknow it just it just doesn't

(49:02):
have the appeal for me and myfamily right now, and
specifically just for me.
I don't know, I just haven'thad that appeal in a while.
It seems like the most fun withother people and I'm just never
in that situation like inperson with other people.
If I'm gonna be playing withpeople, I'd rather play repo or

(49:23):
have some fun on rivals the onceevery three months that we get
on.

Speaker 1 (49:27):
You know stuff like that hey, that's, we're still
playing.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
Some of us are still playing I saw you on earlier
today I was like oh he's he'sjust putting in some rivals time
, uh.
So yeah, no, I mean, again, I'drather, I'd much rather do that
with friends than try to playanything on the switch, and
that's just because, again, somepeople might have that, that,
that comfortability with theplatform and the content.

(49:52):
I was never a big Pokemon guy.
I liked Pokemon, you know.
But you know, after about Genthree, it's like OK, how many
more are we going to get Right?
Like it just feels like it'smore of the same and I just, I
don't know, it just wasn't thatgood that I had to keep up with
it.
But if it's been something youkept up with, like I get it.

(50:13):
They've got games coming downthe pipeline.
The donkey kong game looksreally, really good, like as far
as mechanics, seems like it'sastro bot ish, in the sense that
I think it's going to be betterthan what people would probably
expect because it might havesome like fun gameplay that is
just really addicting and thatpeople aren't necessarily.
Maybe they're taking it forgranted, but other than that,

(50:34):
like everything else is prettystandard from the Nintendo front
for me, and it just felt Iguess that just feels boring
Maybe that's the wrong word, butyeah, it felt bored with the
announcements.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
Well, the thing about Nintendo games is like, yeah,
you can't really get themanywhere.
Like Astro Bot is probably oneof the biggest competitors we've
seen recently as far.
Just like whimsical fun, likethat childlike wonder of playing
a game.
Usually, to get that it's likeyou have to play a Mario game or
some sort of Nintendo franchiseLike that Donkey Kong get that.

(51:08):
It's like you have to play amario game or you know some sort
of nintendo franchise like thatdonkey kong game looks awesome.
And as soon as they announce anew mainline zelda game I will
be buying the switch too.
Like there's this, because Ican't.
I mean, I guess I could playthat somewhere else if I wanted
to.
There are ways, but there'sreally nowhere else to play
these games other than andthat's why they get away with
what they're doing they knowthat everybody wants to play the
new mario kart, so we can justcharge whatever we want for it

(51:30):
yeah, I'd agree.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
I'd agree with the the price thing as well, that,
uh, that both you and jay hadsaid like it's nintendo being
nintendo, but I mean they putthemselves in a position to do
so.
I was streaming earlier andsomebody brought up uh asked me
if I was doing the Switch, andmy response was the same tonight
and they were just talking alittle bit about it.
And I really think that when itcomes down to the Switch, like

(51:54):
it's great and all, but like itseems like they have an existing
consumer base that they cancount on and they're not really
trying to do outreach base thatthey can count on and they're
not really trying to do outreach, so they can hike up those
prices to the people that theyhave lured in to their product
over these years, where I don'tknow when it's like Game Pass or
PlayStation or anything else, everything else seems to go the

(52:17):
opposite direction.
Like let's bring new people in.
Nintendo feels like they'rekind of gatekeeping a little bit
.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
I compare the hardcore Nintendo fans to Disney
adults.
There's like the similarbehavior there where it's like I
can see that they just are likethat is just kind of part of
their identity and so they mightget a little bit frustrated
with Nintendo for a while, butthey're always going to come
back.

Speaker 4 (52:42):
They see those Mickey ears.
They're like I got to get them,Yep.
I have to get those Mickey ears.
I don't have them.

Speaker 3 (52:48):
Emily, is the Switch 2 going to show up in your
household within any point intime?
What would get you to?
What would be enticing to youto get one?

Speaker 2 (52:59):
I did see.
I thought so.
Currently, no, I'm not, I'm notpre-ordering one, I don't have
one on the way, Um, but Ithought the game list was
interesting, but more than aMario Kart, I'm looking for a
Super Smash Brothers, honestly.
And then also, um, I want tosee how Pokemon goes, so I'd say

(53:22):
, maybe within the next year.
Also, my daughter did just turnfour, so, and she likes to
watch my husband play.
Her favorite thing to watch ishim playing Fall Guys oh my gosh
, she thinks it's hilarious.
But so I'm hoping to maybe andI might honestly ask Andrew
about this later See what thesteps are into, like getting her

(53:44):
maybe to actually playsomething.
Her hands are kind of tiny, sodexterity and stuff, but I feel
like that is kind of a goodconsole to start with.
But I have not been playing mySwitch probably within the last
year or so.
Nothing has really pulled me in.
I've kind of set it aside for awhile too, since I don't know I

(54:04):
was playing some indie stuff, but then, after the last Pokemon
, I really haven't been playingit a lot.
So, yeah, eventually, I know Iwill probably get it, but not
immediately.
And yep, lost the train ofthought.
Yep, that's all.

Speaker 3 (54:28):
Yeah, it's just something that's.
Who knows.
Again, if those games that Imentioned, if those pop up, then
maybe that will entice me.
But right now, is it $500 forthe?
Is it $550 without Mario Kart?
No, I think it's $450 and $500with Mario Kart.
Now five.
What was it 500 for the?
Is it 550?

Speaker 1 (54:43):
for without this, without the, without mario kart,
no, I think it's 450 and 550with mario kart, yeah yeah, and
like, like you said, eric, Imean mario kart.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
It's not a game I'm gonna play on my own and I'm not
hosting enough right now towhere to have people over and
warrant buying mario kart oranything like that, and that's
probably why I got it the firsttime around and we never played
it.
So we'll end up like at a barthat has a Mario Kart or at
another party or you know, withsome friends that have Mario
Kart on or something like that.
But it's never.

(55:10):
I've never like man.
I wish I could get in someMario Kart time solo.

Speaker 4 (55:15):
That's not my thing, yeah, and we talked about this
on the episode for Slay theSpire that just released on the
podcast.
And we talked about going backto our Foresight episode when
Jay brought up like you don'treally like play handheld games,
like that's not a thing youenjoy, and I was like, not
really.
Since that conversation I havenow played several games that I

(55:37):
would fit under that descriptionwhere it's like, yeah, I would
If I had my Switch.
I would do if I, if I wanted toget a switch, I would do that.
But to Phil's point, like Iwouldn't need a switch, I could
just get like a steam deck.
Like I wouldn't get Nintendogames for the switch.
I just feel like they're attheir best party games and, from

(55:59):
a single player experience,it's a franchise that you love.
And I just don't love any ofthe franchises.
I'm not a zelda guy, I'm not ametroid guy, none of it.
None of it.
All the big hitters, the littlehitters, you know.
Yeah, I liked luigi's mansion.
I don't want to play everyLuigi's Mansion that comes out.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
You seem like a Gooigi guy, you know what Listen
.

Speaker 5 (56:23):
Listen, I like the off-brand ones.

Speaker 4 (56:25):
Okay, that's just what it is.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
What's the off-brand Luigi's Mansion?

Speaker 4 (56:30):
I don't know.
I don't know.
We're going to find out.

Speaker 3 (56:35):
But yeah, I mean, let us know, did you guys anybody
listening?
Did you guys stand in a virtualline or a physical line?
Some people actually went toGameStops and pre-ordered those.
Some GameStops got them, sowe'll see.
But yeah, great story, andrew, and yeah, eric, let's bring up
this chaos.
I think I got it.

Speaker 4 (56:55):
Okay, so you tell me what's going to happen next.
I'm number five, no.

Speaker 5 (57:01):
I'm going to scream.

Speaker 4 (57:04):
Phil, now Okay.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
I'm 11 through 20.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
Now we're on the four-sided die.
Okay, now we're on thefour-sided die.
Emily is one and two, you arethree and four.
There is no five.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (57:23):
I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna drumroll you.
And then we're all gonna sayroll that die.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
I am Alright Again.
You don't need the drum roll.

Speaker 5 (57:45):
Roll.

Speaker 3 (57:46):
Die.
This is significantly worse.
No 100%.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
Phil, it is yours.
It is yours.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
I guess we're saving the best for last.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
All right direwolves.
A second direwolf story would becrazy.
But yeah, my story isn'tnecessarily like a pop culture
story I mean it is but it's justalso an opportunity to talk
about what's probably myfavorite movie of the year which
just came out, and it isSinners.
And Ryan Coogler knows ball youguys, because Puss in Boots the

(58:19):
Last Wish isn't just creatingtake a shot isn't just creating
an existential crisis forviewers, for Ryan Coogler, it's
giving him inspiration for hisnext movie.
If only all of us could see amovie about a cat contemplating
his existence through Coogler'seyes.
On the Get Wrecked podcast, coogler shared with the host

(58:40):
that the latest Puss in Bootsadventure became a key element
in his upcoming film, sinners, which is now out.
At the time of this recording,he said, quote think about the
villain, think about hisdefining features, think about
his demeanor.
Puss in Boots' big villain hadpiercing red eyes and there's a
lot of similar themes in Sinnersas well, and I just really

(59:00):
geeked out over this headlineand I saw the clip of him
talking about it, because thatmovie is very popular amongst a
few of us here with Puss inBoots the Last Wish, and Sinners
just came out here recently intheaters and it is fantastic.
Eric, I know you reviewed it.
I had not given it like areview or anything over on, like
our Discord or anything, but Igave it a five out of five on

(59:22):
letterbox.
It is my favorite movie of theyear.
Um, the performances areoutstanding.
So I wanted to talk about, uh,you know ryan coogler, um being
obviously a a great knower offilm when he's talking about
puss in boots, the last wish.
But also, if you guys have notseen it, I know a lot of.
You know some of y'all don't goto the movies as much as Eric
and I do, but are you going tosee Sinners, whether it be in

(59:45):
theaters or when it hitsstreaming?
Emily, I know you don't get togo to the movies as much We've
talked about that in the pastbut you try and get to stuff
that's on streaming as.
Are you a fan of something likethis when it comes to a new
horror franchise, or what do youknow about?

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
the movie at all.
I'm going to be honest I justheard about this movie this week
and I have not had time to lookup any sort of synopsis, so I
have no fucking clue what it'sabout.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
Do you want a synopsis or do you want to go in
blind if you do watch it later?

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Did you say it's horror?
Yes, then I.
If you do watch it later.
Did you say it's horror, yes, then I will absolutely not watch
it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Okay, so you can tell me anything okay, we'll skip
emily and true what a person tojump to, because I also don't go
to the movies very often and,uh, don't like horror.
I also, just in general, don'treally keep up with TV and
movies as much.
These days, it's like any of mykind of free, relaxed time is

(01:00:44):
like gaming most of the time.
So even if it was a movie I waslike semi-interested in, I still
probably wouldn't have seen it.
When you were talking Ihonestly for a minute thought it
was just like a string of waitfor it, like memes and like
catchphrases and words, just allkind of strung together.
I was like what is he saying?
What is phil talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
I've heard these words yeah what are they?

Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
I was I was just waiting, like you kept
mentioning puss in boots.
He's gonna bring up the rock atsome point, like what?

Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
it's so funny because it's like when you're around
someone who speaks a differentlanguage, you don't know what
they're saying, but after acertain amount of time.

Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
You're like wait a second Black Adam.
What are we doing here?

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
What are we?

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
doing here.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Well, I really picked the story for Jay and Eric.
So, jay, are you going to seeSinners 1?
And also, I just thought it wasreally cool that ryan coogler,
uh, was also a big fan of pussy.
Boost the last wish.

Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
No, I, I, I love the shout um from from ryan coogler
for the last wish.
I'm also a big, big lover ofthat movie, um, and so I I'm
probably not going to go seethis one in in theaters because
the the theater budget's alittle tight these days, and
when the theater budget isn'ttight, you know $8 Tuesdays or
whatever, that's when everybodyelse goes, because everybody

(01:02:07):
else's budget is tight too, so Idon't like going to a full
theater.
I'm picky that way, so I'm happyto wait for this one to come to
streaming, but I am lookingforward to it.
I love I've really enjoyedeverything else that Ryan
Coogler has done, so I'm lookingforward to what he's got next

(01:02:28):
for me.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
I'll say this too, eric, before I throw it over to
you as far as sitters, becauseyou know that I don't really
watch a lot of horror, reallykind of, in theaters.
I usually wait so I can watchit at home, but this one there's
really not the only.
I really only jumped in therattlesnake part, which was
stupid because it's in thefucking trailer, so I should
have known that it was coming, but it did startle me because it

(01:02:51):
was so loud when it happened inthe theater.
But in terms of like, uh, interms of like jump scare horror,
it doesn't do any of that.
Uh, because Ryan Coogler is toogood of a director to rely on
jump scares, so he doesn't haveto do any of that.
Um, and it really it is verygory.
So if that's not your thing, that's definitely going to be,
uh, a trigger warning for people.
But, uh, I mean, I've been a bigfan of Michael B Jordan for so

(01:03:13):
long.
I don't know who taught HaleySteinfeld to talk like that, but
Josh Allen's probably.
Like, what the fuck is going on?
Who is this woman that I'mmarrying?
But she is also fantastic.
But, yeah, performances allaround in that film were great
and, eric, I definitely want tosee it again and I wish so bad
that we could see it in IMAX70mm.

(01:03:34):
I don't know if there's one ofthose theaters in Orlando or
Tampa, but I don't think Itraveled to Tampa, but I would
travel to Orlando and I stilldon't think there's one of those
over there either, which is ahuge bummer.

Speaker 4 (01:03:44):
Yeah, I mean just seeing IMAX in general, let
alone 70 millimeter is a wholedifferent and not just the IMAX,
real IMAX.
Yeah, real IMAX.
Yeah, that's a whole differentdiscussion.
But yeah, I gave sinners a fourout of five, but I'm very, very

(01:04:05):
clear that on a second rewatchand I do plan on rewatching this
film by the end of the year uh,I could easily see that jumping
to a four and a half.
Uh, it's, it's a very good, uh,very good movie.
Ryan Coogler is in his bagright now with filmmaking.
Michael B Jordan Perfect thatthey're the Leo and Scorsese
right now that's going on inHollywood.
So I think they've got a goodthing going together their
chemistry.

(01:04:25):
It's very interesting to seethe movie, how it played out,
because it does feel like the, because he plays twin brothers,
michael B Jordan, it does kindof feel like it's like the
fourth time that's happened thisyear.
Yeah, but it also feels like oneof those roles who else did
this?
This year there's been fourfilms it's like a trope that

(01:04:46):
won't go away.
It's done very well.
Michael B Jordan's great, butit does feel like one of those
spots was supposed to beJonathan Majors, so it very much
feels like that's what theywere going for.
If you know, he wasn't inshambles right now, but I
digress.
Sinners great, great film.
I really, really enjoyed it, Ithink the less you know about it

(01:05:10):
.

Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
He was the other one, phil, don't bring up Mickey 17.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
We don't have to talk about.

Speaker 5 (01:05:13):
Mickey 17.
Wait, did you not like Mickey17?

Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
It was okay.
Oh, phil, we both gave it athree right.
Yeah, three out of five, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
It's fine.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
To pivot really quick .
I will tell you it wasn'tbecause of Robert Pattinson.
No, I personally think the MarkRuffalo character sucks.
I don't like it.
I just don't like the parody ofit.
I understand that.
That's like the whole point.
I thought it was a little tooover the top and fucking good.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
Oh, Jay gave it a four and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
Oh yeah, no, 100% not .
Is that your first Bong Joon-homovie?

Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
No, it is not.
No, okay, yeah, now I don'tunderstand oh, okay, yeah, I um.
Now I don't understand.
I was gonna let you go, you'regonna let me go.
I was like, oh, that's yourfirst one, that's okay, this is
my.
This is my favorite bong chunho movie.
I would.
I would say that's crazy.
Yeah, oh wow I don't think Ialso.
This is probably.

(01:06:14):
This is the only movie I'veseen in the theater in the last
six months, so I think thatprobably had a lot to do with it
because, like I, like, haven'tspent.
And I think that probably had alot to do with it because, like
I, like, haven't spent.
And I think that had a bigeffect on it because it was on
the big screen.
I know you guys see every newmovie in the theaters, so, like,
it's a baseline but, like cause, I love being in a full theater
.
Yeah, no there was two otherpeople in the theater when I

(01:06:34):
watched Mickey 17.
It was Mickey 17.
It was the ideal experience forme.
Um no, I thought it was great.
I thought Mark Ruffalo washilarious.

Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
I was, I was so on board, yeah, no, if you love
that, if you love the characterand the performance, I mean it
makes it makes a ton of sense.
Uh, it just did not work for me.
I also thought the movie was alittle bit of a mess, which kind
of explains why they pushed itback so much, and that was
concerning, because this moviehad been pushed back, phil, for
like years, right Like with Slike several times, and it was

(01:07:09):
concerning.
I think, again, some of thethemes are a little too on the
nose.
I also very much got Okja vibesfrom it, like as far as the
theme.
So I hadn't watched Snowpiercer, but I heard it was very similar
to that.
So it just kind of felt like arehashing of films he's done
better and I don't know for thatreason it just didn't hit for

(01:07:31):
me.
But I wanted to like it.
I went in excited and I walkedout just a little underwhelmed.

Speaker 5 (01:07:37):
Alright.
Well, it was nice being friendswith you, eric.

Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
Okay, or watch Sinners, because Sinners is
really good objectively andyou'll probably love it.

Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
I'm going to give it three stars out of spite, but
yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
That was Eric that just went on a Mickey 17.

Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
Yeah, but Phil didn't like it either.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
I gave it a three, and my three is not the same as
your three.

Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
No, no, we don't like threes.

Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
You don't like threes ?
Okay.
I thought, Mickey 17 was fine.
Roll the fucking dice.

Speaker 4 (01:08:08):
Okay, well, yeah, no.
So, emily, I know you'reconfused, but he is in fact
right.
We do have to roll the dicelike we would roll the wheel.

Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
So what?
To roll the dice like we wouldroll the wheel.
So what I'm gonna do herebecause you know this makes
sense I'm gonna just do a d20.
Right, we're gonna.
We're gonna roll this in aminute.
Give us a one number.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
You me, andrew and jay, and if we, and if it's on
our number, we get to go againand emily.
Okay, how about this?
How about?
How about let's Hold on?
This would be really funny, this would be really funny.
So Emily can get anything, butif she gets a one, if she gets a
one, she can't do her story.
She'll just leave the recording.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
I will absolutely leave.

Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
We'll say if she gets a 20, she'll have some type of
cheating ability in the Kahootgame.
There we go.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
All right, drumroll guys.
You're rolling.
For me, though, google'srolling.
Roll that guy.

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
Drumroll is so loud.
The drumroll got louder.

Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
Yeah, I don't know why it's so loud, but it is what
it is.
You got 10, which doesn'tmatter in the grand scheme of
things.
So, Emily, your turn.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Great, I feel awesome being here now.
I feel really wanted.
I have two stories, I guess, trying to think what would be
more interesting, I'll go withthe one, the first one.
So I just did a little, youknow, deep dive search last

(01:09:48):
night and I found out that BillHader, who I absolutely adore
and love, is developing a serieswith HBO about the Jonestown
Massacre.
With HBO about the JonestownMassacre and I, for whatever
reason, I'm not one of thosetypical white women where I love
all the murder podcasts.

(01:10:09):
I never really got into that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:11):
Like.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Dylan.
Yeah, I don't know much aboutthe Jonestown Massacre so I had
to look it up a little bit.
I don't know much about theJonestown Massacre so I had to
look it up a little bit.
But he will co-write andco-showrun the series and it's
also he's probably going todirect and possibly star in it.
I don't honestly know how muchinformation is known, but

(01:10:32):
overall, in 1978, preacher JimJones moved his congregation to
Guyana in the Caribbean, calledthe People's Temple Agricultural
Project resulted in theshooting of a congressman and
the murder-suicide of over 900people via poison.
So pretty dark, but I mean kindof goes along with.

(01:10:55):
I Love Barry.
Bill Hader is amazing in somany ways and so if he is
developing something like this Iwill probably watch it, so I'm
excited.

Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
Yeah, I shared this in the Discord the other day.
Eric, I have not seen Barry.
It is on my, it has beensitting in my queue forever and
I know I'm going to fall in lovewith that show.
I just haven't done it.
But Bill Hader is one of myfavorites and, uh, if he is
involved with this then it'sgonna be outstanding, so I
cannot wait for this.
Uh, jay, sound, just based offof your body language.

(01:11:30):
It sounds like maybe you'vewatched Barry and are also a fan
of Bill Hader's as well.

Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
I did.
I'm halfway through Barry.
I did fall off of it.
I'm very much looking forwardto coming back to it at some
point.
I do.
I love Hater quite a bit.
He's very enjoyable wheneverhe's on screen.
I just watched an old not thatold 2009 film called
Adventureland that he was in forthe first time ever and it was

(01:11:56):
so funny.
But yes, I saw this comethrough on the Discord.
I'm looking forward to itbecause I think that he's just
he.
He he's brilliant in such likeinteresting and hilarious ways.
I admire his comedy a lot.
So, yeah, I'll absolutely givethis a go when it comes out

(01:12:23):
comedy a lot, um.

Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
So yeah, I'll absolutely give this a go when
it comes out.
Andrew, I know you also are not, uh, really a true crime person
, uh, but know anything of billhader's work.
Are you familiar with anythinghe's been in, or are you a fan
and are you gonna watch thejonestown hbo series?

Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
I mean, I'll let you all hear my voice.
You probably could have skippedover me for this one.
Wasn't he the last man on Earth?
Wasn't that him?

Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
No, you're thinking of Will Forte.

Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
Then yes, I have no idea who we're talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
I'm probably not going to watch this show.
Bill Hader is one of the copsin Superbad.
That's not Seth Rogen.

Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
That's such a specific goal.

Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
I just figured Superbad would be it.
Okay, I'm trying to think ofwhat else I mean.
He was on SNL.

Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
Yeah, I recognize him from SNL.
I guess I thought he was theguy in Last man on.

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Earth.
You would know him by his face.

Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
No, yeah, I know who he is, I recognize him and I
think a lot of his like I see alot of clips of his him and I
think a lot of his like.
I see a lot of clips of hislike we were talking about
earlier on social media andstuff like I see a lot of SNL
clips and things like that thathe's in.
He was in Tropic Thunder, whichI, you know, love that movie.
He was in Hot Rod, apparently, which I know I've seen but don't
remember of most importantly,of course, eric.

Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
He is in Night at the Museum Battle at the
Smithsonian.
He is outstanding.

Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
I thought for sure you were gonna say forgetting
sarah marshall there.
Well, that too I loveforgetting sarah marshall, a
great movie.

Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
He's also in year one , which is a movie that she's
one of the movies that's comeout, so yeah, no one of the
movies of all time one of themovies.
That's one of them.

Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
He was in sausage party.
I've seen that that one left alasting impact on me, so I know
of him.
I think he's entertaining.
I've enjoyed him in the moviesthat I've seen.
I don't really know much aboutthis upcoming project and maybe

(01:14:13):
if it's something that my wifeputs on, I'll end up sitting
down and watching it with her,but it's probably not something
that I would seek out myself.

Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
And comedic actors are typically fantastic when it
comes to dramatic roles as well.

Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
So yeah, cause they're hiding behind the jokes.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
Oh yeah, absolutely At a comedy club, in the green
room at a comedy club is justpure sadness, I just see.
So you guys know Eric, you alsoare not a true crime guy, but
you are a fan of Bill Hader andI know Barry is something we
have circled both of us foryears now.
But any interest in this newproject Because, again, anytime

(01:14:50):
his name is attached tosomething I pay attention.

Speaker 4 (01:14:53):
I've got to add Barry to the late to the party list,
which is growing.
So a lot of stuff that we needto catch up on and that would be
a fun episode because we likeBill Hader.
We like Bill Hader except in it, chapter Two, which is one of
the worst films that have everbeen made.
So that's unfortunate.
But yeah, outside of that he'sbeen and he wasn't the problem
there.
That movie was just reallyreally bad.

(01:15:15):
His performances have alwaysbeen really good, whether
they're comedic, dramatic, likeanytime I've seen him on screen
it's always been a plus and itjust seems like behind the
camera and behind the sceneshe's really starting to make an
impact, which is reallyinteresting.
So the news itself isinteresting, even if the genre
or the topic is not somethingI'm familiar with or not

(01:15:35):
necessarily like biting atimmediately.
I think I could get interestedwith the trailer and the premise
itself, but I would definitelyhave to wait to see a visual
just off of the topic alone, like it sounds like something
that would be made into a showor movie.
That sounds pretty dramatic.
That's a lot of dead people.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
I'm surprised it hasn't already.
There are Jonestown what's theword I'm looking for?
There are Jonestown, showscorrect.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
It said there was a movie that was supposed to be
done with Leonardo, but I thinkit got like nixed or something
like that.

Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
Yeah, but yeah, jonestown in general, eric, if
you're not familiar, is like oneof those major stories.
Any true crime podcast hascovered Jonestown, so it is up
there.
So, but yeah, again, bill Hader, fantastic, super talented, so
definitely going to be keepingan eye on this one for sure.
But, eric, this is the part ofthe episode where we go around

(01:16:39):
and see if anybody just wants tothrow out either some extra
stories just really quick thatthey would like to mention, and
we can kind of go from there.
You usually handle thatroundtable if you'd like to go
around the circle or however youwant to do it.

Speaker 4 (01:16:52):
Yeah, yeah yeah, so I'll do the Discord roundup at
the end, which, if you're not apart of our Discord, we have a
pop culture news channel andthis month was extremely busy.
I actually had to condense thestories and pick the ones that I
thought were some of thebiggest ones, because this month
had a lot of stuff going onmore recently here, some of the
casting of the Hunger Games, thenew movie for Sunrise of the

(01:17:16):
Reaping, so there's a lot ofstuff going on in that channel.
Check it out, but I think thiswill be a great time.
Just some quick hitters if youwant to let us know what your
didn't make the cut stories were, and then we'll just kind of go
around and see if anybody hasany commentary before I throw
several stories out from ourDiscord and we'll start off with
Jay.

(01:17:36):
Jay, do you have any storiesthat didn't make the cut that
you want to throw out there?

Speaker 5 (01:17:40):
So one thing, that kind of circles, minorly circles
back to the Jonestown thing.
Has anybody seen the studiocoming out on Apple TV?

Speaker 4 (01:17:48):
No, I want to see it really bad With Seth Rogen.

Speaker 5 (01:17:50):
Yes, with Seth Rogen there's a Jonestown comes up in
a very funniest way.
Jonestown can come up in theseries.
So, um, but I have watched thefirst couple episodes.
It's a new series coming out,and so that was going to be the
one one that I brought up as anew series in April.

(01:18:11):
That I'm really enjoying so farand I would highly recommend.
If you're an Apple TV subscriber, um, my other did not make the
cut.
Um, that, I think maybe onlyremotely applies to eric.
Here is going to be a newreal-time strategy game that
came out just a couple days agocalled tempest rising, um, made
by a lot of the people that usedto work on the old command and

(01:18:34):
conquer games that have sinceleft left ea, um, because
they're a terrible company andthey got together and they made
a very Command Conquer-like game.
Basically, this is likeborderline IP theft.
It's extremely close, but itcame out just a couple days ago.
I am very much planning onplaying it, but I'm very excited

(01:18:58):
for it.
They even got the guy who madethe music for all the old
Command Conquer games as well tocome back and do the music too,
so very pumped for TempestRising.

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
You and Jay played Command Conquer a couple weeks
ago.
How did that go for you?

Speaker 4 (01:19:12):
Well, so you know what I'm still learning.
I'm still learning the ropesagain, because it's been a while
since I played last.
I would like to think that itwent well with that being.
You know, considered uh, but no, this uh, tempest rising looked
really cool.
I did not know, it already cameout just like a couple days ago
, yeah like a couple days ago.
Yeah, I mean this looks sickwith the updated graphics and

(01:19:35):
everything.
I mean I'd be very curious, letme know if this is something
that's worth it, because I meanI will jump on board and play it
.
Uh, this month has been veryeye-opening to all the games
that I'm trying to play, so forthat reason I'm not jumping yet.
But if you I mean if you giveit your stamp of approval and
it's got that command andconquer flair, like it just

(01:19:55):
seems like this this game isokay.
Fine, we'll do it ourselves.

Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
If you don't want to give us new Command Conquer
content.

Speaker 4 (01:20:02):
Fine, so I'm totally down with that.
Andrew, Emily, Phil, anybodywant to chime in on either the
studio or Tempest Rising?
You do not have to chime in thestudio is definitely on my
watch list.

Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
I mentioned it in the Foresight episode, so I can't
wait to watch it.
Cool, cool, all right, definitely on my watch list.
I mentioned it in the Foresightepisode so I can't wait to
watch it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
Cool Alright, phil, did you have any?
Didn't make the cut.

Speaker 3 (01:20:25):
Yeah, just really quick.
Pacific Rim TV series has beengreenlit for Amazon.
Hopefully they make up for theterrible sequel and just accept
that that is not canon.
There's a Toys R Us live actionmovie coming out for some
reason, so we'll see whathappens.
And then this isn't a story, but I just have to mention that
I've been listening to Good Hangwith Amy Poehler, which is her

(01:20:48):
new podcast, and I've listenedto two episodes.
I've listened to the MartinShort episode and the Katherine
Hahn episode and I was smilingfor 45 minutes straight.
She is so good at hosting thispodcast and it just seems like
all of her guests so far arejust so happy to be with her
that that energy crosses over tothem.
So definitely check that out.

(01:21:08):
It is outstanding and it's agood podcast to mix in amongst
all the murder and paranormalshit that I listen to.

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
It's a good palate cleanser, that's all I have glad
, I'm glad you had a celebritypodcast that you actually enjoy,
I know, since we, I'll tell youthe katherine hond episode.

Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
They just pretty much talk about parks and rec for
the first 20 minutes.
So if you were a fan of thatshow, go go check that out.
It's so good I figure there's.

Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
There's quite a lot of that.
So the aimer, uh amy pullerpodcast, uh R Us movie no clue
what the hell that would evenlook like, but I guess the
studio or the company that'sinvolved with that also got
involved with Sonic, so maybethere's some hope for it.
I can't imagine that movie endsin a happy ending, right.

(01:21:54):
And then the Pacific Rimtelevision show on Amazon.
Good for you, man, good for youEmily.
Andrew Jay, anybody want tochime in with something on any
of those three?
Didn't make the cuts.

Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
Pacific Rim.
Hell yeah, toys R Us.
I don't care, I can't evenremember.
The third thing, the podcast.
It was the Amy Poehler podcast.
I don't.
I also don't care.
I mean, it's another celebritypodcast.
So I mean, I get that, it'scool.
I just can't.

Speaker 4 (01:22:24):
It's like some of us are trying to run our own
podcasts and we're notcelebrities.
Let us have it.
Yeah, I feel like whenever onecelebrity gets one we need to
remove another.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
It needs to be that kind of system.

Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
Yeah, where we get rid of somebody else, there
needs to be a rotation.

Speaker 4 (01:22:40):
Zach Braff.
There can only be so much.
Andrew, emily, anybody want tochime in Pacific Rim, toys R Us
movie, amy Puller podcast.
No, they're like yeah, no, weheard movies and TV.
We said nope, emily, it's yourturn, didn't make the cut.
Do you have anything for?

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
us?
I do, and it's actually about aTV show.

Speaker 4 (01:23:01):
Oh wow, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Yeah, and I knew nothing about this, but it
popped up and I was like I'msorry, what the fuck is this?
So apparently there is going tobe a gender swapped TV show
version of the movie Holes Sorry, the book Holes.
Did anyone know that?

Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
I had heard about it.

Speaker 1 (01:23:23):
I had seen some headlines.
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
So they've got, and it's been a long time.
It's a great book.
Excuse me, why am I saying thatit's a great book, but it's
been a while since I've read it,because they cast Greg Kinnear
as the warden, who wasoriginally played by Sigourney
Weaver, and the counselor thatwas called Mr Sir, played by
John Voight, is now going to beplayed by Aidy Bryant, and they

(01:23:50):
have a woman named Shay Rudolphwho is playing Haley instead of
Stanley, and it's all.
Why are we doing this?
Why are we doing this?
I don't.
I'm so mad.
I don't understand.
Nobody asked for this.
There are other things outthere.

(01:24:12):
What's happening?

Speaker 4 (01:24:16):
Yeah, it's.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
There's other ways to adapt holes.
If you really wanted to, I meanyou could.

Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
It's going to be a Disney Plus show.
Yeah, read the book.
It looks like it might be ashow because it says pilot it's
a.
Tv show.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
Yeah, TV show.

Speaker 4 (01:24:31):
That is crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
This will do well.
I'm predicting that this willdo very well.

Speaker 4 (01:24:38):
It's going to be very successful.
Big fans of Genders and all theswaps.

Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
Sure, but why no?
I didn't know this was a Okay.
Yep, just read that yesterday.

Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
I was reading the comments on Reddit.

Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
I'm sure those are solid.

Speaker 4 (01:24:59):
I guess one of the characters' name is Sissy and
this person said I couldn'tremember who Sissy was in the
book, so I did a quick Googlesearch for Sissy holes.
I don't know what I wasexpecting.

Speaker 5 (01:25:16):
Yeah, that's Sorry, I had to get that out or it was
me the rest of the episode.
That's Sorry, I had to get thatout it was me.

Speaker 4 (01:25:20):
The rest of the episode.

Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
That was all, andrew.
Do you have any?
Didn't make the cuts.

Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Yeah, I do.
The first didn't make the cutwas that the Oblivion remaster
just dropped on Tuesday.
They announced it, theyconfirmed it was real and then
they said now go play it.
It's a Game Pass game and itcame to PlayStation and PC and

(01:25:49):
on PlayStation and PC it's notlike a full $70 price point,
it's like $50 or like $60 forthe Deluxe Edition.
I thought that was pretty cool,a good win for for bethesda.
I downloaded it.
I played out of like thetutorial intro area.
It looks great.
It retains a lot of the samecharm and jank that the original

(01:26:12):
had, so looking forward toplaying more of that when games
kind of settle down.
We're in a bit of a hot periodright now with game releases.
My other story was that SkullBones is adding land combat.
So Skull Bones the quadruple, apirate game from Ubisoft that

(01:26:40):
was spun off of Assassin's creed4, black flag, that was only
ship combat live service gamedidn't do well at all.
Not only is it still being likeupdated and maintained by
ubisoft, like they're stillputting content in this game,
but they're adding land combat, which is like the most like
people are like why?

(01:27:00):
Why is it only ships?
We want to play as the pirate.
Well, they're doing that.
Apparently.
I didn't actually like watchany.
I didn't watch the trailer oranything.
I read the article, um, but alsothis is kind of similar.
It reminded me of what they didwith star wars outlaws, where
they hired a new game directorfor that game after it came out
and then they they kept puttinglike they're putting new content

(01:27:22):
, they're updating it, fixingall the things people didn't
like.
And so on the one hand there'slike the cynical part of me
that's like why are you evendoing this, ubisoft?
Why bother?
But on the other hand it's like, well, isn't this kind of what
we want?
We want these companies to takeownership of their poor
decisions and their rushed gamesand the the crap that they put

(01:27:45):
out.
And now they're like trying tofix them and make them better.
I mean, I don't know what thisland combat looks like.
Once I see it, there's a goodchance that I may download this
game and just at least check itout, cause I'm sure I can get it
for pretty cheap or potentiallyon game pass in the next who
knows how long.
So I just stumbled upon thatarticle prepping for this

(01:28:09):
episode.
I hadn't actually heard aboutit before that and I thought it
was really interesting thatubisoft is like putting forth
the effort, especially in thestate of that company right now,
to like, add these majorfeatures and like mechanics to a
game that, as far as I knew, was a meme and was dead.

(01:28:29):
So that was my honorablementions.

Speaker 4 (01:28:35):
Yeah, I mean good ones.
Yeah, I mean good ones.
Um, the the game pass comment Iwas going to make for didn't
make the cut was the oblivionremastered, which is definitely
a remake.
It is definitely a remake.
Uh, based off of what I've heardand what I've seen, visually,
for sure, yeah visually, yeah, and they've done some things
with the combat to make it moreskyrim ish, yeah, although I

(01:28:57):
think the combat's probablygoing to be the weakest part of
the game, as it was in theoriginal is what it sounds like.
But Game Pass getting thatBlueprints also being on, game
Pass, which is an early game ofthe year contender in a lot of
people's eyes, and up untilClaire Obscure, I think, was
like pretty much the highestrated game this year.
And then Claire Obscure.

(01:29:18):
Expedition 33, which looks tobe a banger I only got through,
was like pretty much the highestrated game this year.
And then clear, obscureexpedition 33, which looks to be
a banger.
I only got through the prologue.
I can definitely see some ofthe appeal when it comes to the
uniqueness of the combat.
Uh, game pass is cooking.
Game pass is cooking right nowafter quite a while of really
arguably not being worth it.
Uh, it is.
It is taking a turn this year,it seems like.

(01:29:40):
And then for Skull Bones, likethem, making those updates was
for people like Andrew, like theguy that's going to be like.
I might check it out, I mightgive it a shot.
I know what it was for.
I get it.
I get it, but like I'm nevergoing to touch that game, I want
the Black Flag remaster that wekept hearing about.

Speaker 3 (01:29:59):
They're going to drop that Black Flag remaster.
They're going to be like hey,you guys having fun playing on
land in Sea of Thieves, Guesswhat's here and they're going to
drop the Black Flag remake inSeptember.
Yeah, we know, you know whatthey're doing.

Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
But anyone else want to make a comment or add
commentary to any of the GamePass news, especially around
Elder Scrolls Oblivion beingremastered or Skull Bones?

Speaker 5 (01:30:26):
Yeah, no, the Skull Bones thing is actually pretty
interesting.
It reminds me.
The only story I can think ofthat is similar is no Man's Sky.
That's the game that I alwaysthink about, that clawed its way
back to life after such like aterrible launch, and so, like
it's proven that it can be done, and so I imagine that the
people that are working on thisgame may just feel passionately

(01:30:49):
enough that they wanted to getit done.
Or maybe Ubisoft is like wecan't fail, otherwise the
company's gonna go down.
So make this game better,please.
Like.
I don't know which one it is,but it's very interesting.
I'll be watching it because,like that's, yeah, it'll be a
proof of concept to see if itcan be done by big companies

(01:31:09):
like Ubisoft.

Speaker 4 (01:31:12):
Yeah, all right guys.
Well, you took several of mystories, which is great, because
now my Discord roundup will beeven shorter.
I've got a handful still, though, and this is again still
only a snippet of what peopleare posting in our Discord for
the news in April.
We're going to start off on asomber note.
Val Kilmer died at 65.

(01:31:33):
The star you may know him inBatman, as Batman in Top Gun in
Tombstone, so definitely just anhonorable RIP.
A legend gone.
Then taking a turn, I don't knowhow you transition after that
one.
You guys may have heard aboutall the Minecraft theaters that
had more than enough energy fromits audience, throwing popcorn

(01:31:57):
and sodas and screaming chickenjockey.
Well, there were severalincidents where the police had
to get involved.
So welcome to movie theatergoing experience in 2025.
Both Predator films that arecoming out this year look really
, really good and it looks to beanother revival of the

(01:32:17):
franchise after a successfuliteration called Prey in the
last couple years.
Predator Killer of Killers isan animated film and then
Predator Badlands is coming outlater this year, and both of
these look really, reallyinteresting, so if you're a fan
of that franchise might havesome good commentary there.
Disney paused development onthe live-action Tangled
interesting, so if you're a fanof that franchise might have
some good commentary there.

(01:32:37):
Disney pause development on thelive action tangled.
After the snow white movie flop, thank god, fucking surprise,
surprise, uh, robert pattinsonis being eyed to star in dune 3.
I'm a big dune head so Ithought that was notable.
Loved, uh, robert pattinson inMickey 17, although I didn't
love the movie, sorry.

(01:32:59):
Jay Sony is tasked withreleasing the Chainsaw man movie
in US theaters on October 29th.
So for our anime heads, veryexciting stuff.
My boy getting a movie rightthere.
The King of the Hill show isgetting a revival series
that's's releasing this summeron Hulu.
Seems completely unnecessary, but I know some people are going

(01:33:21):
to be excited about it Bobbyaccording to high profile apex
legend leakers, titanfall threeis rumored to release next year.
I'll believe it when I see it,but God damn it.
Finally we need it.
And the final did make the cutfrom our discord.
Uh, the first glimpses of Epicuniverse are making their way

(01:33:44):
out and it looks crazy.
Uh, universal Orlandoofficially opens the third and
newest theme park on May 22nd.
But a lot of the early uh looksat it have been getting a lot
of attention.
So, val Kilmer in memoriam, chicken jockey movie, theater
experiences everything predator, the tangled remake, robert

(01:34:08):
Pattinson, dune three, chainsawman movie, king of the hill
revival, titanfall three andepic universe.
Does anyone want to add anycommentary?
Andrew, I'll throw it to you tostart.

Speaker 1 (01:34:19):
That was such a long list.

Speaker 4 (01:34:21):
It was.
It's the worst part of theepisode I saw.

Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
Jack Black also appeared in some theaters for
the Minecraft movie, which Ithought was interesting.
It'd be kind of fun to see JackBlack in your theater.
It reminds me of the Rick andMorty thing with theel on sauce
where, like, the fandom justturned into complete idiots.
Uh, titanfall 3.
You said that and I kind offorgot everything else that you

(01:34:44):
mentioned, because if we couldget a titanfall 3 like that
might just make the world wholeagain, like that alone yeah,
titanfall 2 is such an amazing.
It was like the best firstperson shooter multiplayer that
I think I've ever played, andthen it had a stellar like

(01:35:05):

doesn't like hearing that.

She's pretty smart, she canread already um, and she
remembers everything I say, yeah, I'm good, because I don't know
what people put in there.
You know like I don't trustYouTube for my four-year-old,

make Epic Universe work.

comfortable putting out animatedstuff, because it's just

I was curious what did youunplug?
Are you pretending to use theheadphones on your head?
I've been wondering for like anhour and a half, so I just
thought I'd ask.
These are wireless headphones.

Speaker 5 (01:39:50):
These can plug into my headphones and into my
computer, but I need to futzwith things while I podcast, and

I don't know what that wasabout.
I wasn't paying attention for alittle bit.

Speaker 4 (01:40:17):
I don't know.
I didn't know how to transition.
I'm sorry For the audio-onlyaudience.

Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
This is a good time to transition over to YouTube,
if you'd like a visualrepresentation of the questions
last time around, I think.
Well, last time all of you wereon, we were doing Jeopardy, but
we started switching it up toKahoot and it's been a lot of
fun.
This will be the third goaround, since I knew this was
going to be a longer episode.
There's only 15 questions, butwe'll see how it goes the first

(01:40:45):
time around, kate, as I Katedominated for representing for
Game of Growns, eric won lastmonth, so let's see how
competitors do this time aroundSissy Holes.
I wonder who Sissy Holes couldbe, since everyone else is just

(01:41:07):
going with their name.

Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Oh, hold on, I think I got to go back.
What was the name that I choselast time?

Speaker 3 (01:41:14):
I forgot.
It's too late now I'm going toexit.
I forgot the name.
I know that you were the eagle, though what were you last time
Start?

Speaker 4 (01:41:24):
fresh.
I'm going to tell you right now.
You're going to pull up theepisode?
Yeah, I got to, because didn'tI go on like a generational run
you?

Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
did do pretty well, so I would understand if you
feel like you need to defendyour crown with that with the
same name.

Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
He was just embarrassed by sissy holes.

Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
Yeah, he didn't want to commit fully.

Speaker 4 (01:41:49):
I mean a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:41:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:41:52):
Explain how the game works.

Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
Emily's never coming back after this.

Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
For those of you that do not know, has everybody here
done a Kahoot?

Speaker 1 (01:42:03):
I have done one Kahoot, I've Kahooted.

Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
Okay, I have not there are going to be a few
different types of questionshere, so there's going to be
multiple choice.
There'll be ones where you typein your answer.
There'll be ones called aslider, where there will be a
moving scale that you willadjust on.
Oh, benedict Eagle, okay, thatyou will adjust on.
I can't remember why that cameup, but there'll be a slider on

(01:42:29):
your phone that will adjust.
So, say, like, the question ishow many Jurassic Park slash
world movies there are, andit'll be somewhere between five
and 15, and you'll just moveyour slider along on your and
it'll be somewhere between fiveand 15.
And you'll just move yourslider along on your phone.
There'll be one question whereyou have to pin your answer on a
photo and that you'll see it'spretty self-exclamatory.
And then the last one is trueor false.

(01:42:49):
So 15 questions you get, themore of the quicker you answer,
the more points you get.
And then so you are encouragedto answer quickly.
I'm pretty sure all of them.
You have 30 seconds to answer,oh, and then there's one more
game where you put things inorder.
So you'll put things so, forexample, when did this movie

(01:43:09):
come out?
And you'll put the instructionswill be listed on the screen.
So Eric's favorite game isSlider.
So there's nine of those thismonth.
Oh, eric's favorite game isSlider.

Speaker 5 (01:43:17):
So there's nine of those this month.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
Oh, great, awesome.
There's that, alright,everybody here, I'm also 1-0 as
Benedict Eagle, so no pressure, that is true.

Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
And this specific bird and wig.

important.

Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
It's a massive gap between first and second.
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:58:10):
My favorite part is that Sissy Holes was around for
the whole thing, the whole thingyep.

Speaker 3 (01:58:17):

I'm going to change it up next time.
Different, fast and the Furiouscharacters, those are all main
characters.

Speaker 4 (01:58:44):
I can go very obscure , I'll make my own list, the
next one he's going to be like, pinpoint this make and model of
the vehicle that has shown up inthe Fast and the Furious movies
.

Speaker 3 (01:58:55):
I can figure something out.
I'm going to put in a Fast andthe Furious question, every

I'm just going to change it upfrom the pin.
Your answer to just a Fast andthe Furious question.

Speaker 4 (01:59:03):
If I get a slider, fast and Furious question, I
will fucking, I will sock you.
The next time I see you I'llthink of them.

Speaker 3 (01:59:11):
But Emily, Andrew, Jay, thank you all so much for
coming on this episode andallowing us to even up the odds
as far as the Super Racket BrosCinematic Universe.
What Did I Miss Is Go.
Please let our audience knowwhat everybody is up to.
We'll start with Jay, as we arein the cusp of Super Racket
Bros returning.
Please let everybody know whatyou're up to and when and where

(01:59:32):
we can find it.

Speaker 5 (01:59:33):
Yeah, absolutely.
You can find me anywhere.
You find podcasts.
So that's going to spotifyapple etc.
Um, super bracket bros, we'reworking on season seven.
Season seven is going to be allstreet level fighters.
I didn't even I mean we had astreet level tournament, but
we're going no weapons, this isall martial artists.
So think your favorite fightinggame, street fighter tekken.

(01:59:56):
Think your favorite kung fumovies, wuxia movies, things
like that.
Those are the characters thatwe're pulling from.
We're going to be pitting themagainst each other and finding
out who is the best of the bestof the 16 fighters.
The 16 are set.
The first episode, the sort ofpreview episode, will be coming
out somewhere around mid-May.

(02:00:17):
So stay tuned to the SuperBracket Bros feed for that.
We would love to have you comeover and give us a listen.
You'll hear very many familiarvoices.
So if you enjoy the WayForwardpodcast, I think you'll enjoy
Super Bracket Bros Always agreat time.
But thank you guys so much forhaving me on again and I'm happy
to walk away not only ajeopardy winner but a kahoot

(02:00:39):
winner and end the reign ofbenedict eagle.
Um, so I so happy and we.
We killed the wheel for oneepisode at least, and that's.
I'm more excited about that atthe end of this.

Speaker 3 (02:00:52):
I'm gonna put in a credit where the wheel will
return at the end of it.
So yeah, I can't wait as far asthat.
And yeah, sorry, roman Reignswas a tool during the week of
WrestleMania.

Speaker 5 (02:01:08):
We had to pivot.
Yes, yeah, I was about to postthe poll to figure out what the
seating was going to be 1through 16.
I had Roman Reigns in there andthen he was like I think
Trump's an all right guy.
I was like you're out of here, brother, you're fucking out of
here.

Speaker 3 (02:01:24):
Um yeah yeah, good times, good stuff, andrew.
Uh, what's going on on your endand with friendly neighborhood
gamers?

Speaker 1 (02:01:34):
Uh well, let's see.
If you like video game talk, then we've got that for you.
We have a podcast and we havehad everybody on this show on
our podcast to talk about theirgaming history and lives and
preferences, so you candefinitely go check those
episodes out.
We also have a youtube channelwhere we've been trying to
branch out with the content thatwe do over there as far as

(02:01:56):
breaking out like segments fromsome of our podcast episodes
trying to preview upcoming games, review, um, lesser known,
smaller kind of indie titles, getting review codes ahead of
launch, that kind of thing, um.
So if you enjoy video gameconversations, we've got that
for you.
Like Phil alluded to a littlebit earlier, we have some

(02:02:16):
assassin's creed content in theplanning phase currently, but
it's just been a crazy time forvideo games right now, so we are
still working on getting thatrecorded, but there's already
been a few wait for itcrossovers and collaborations
this year already, so definitelygo check those out if you're
looking for a place to startcoming from this show.
And and yeah, thank you guysfor having me.

(02:02:38):
This has been a ton of fun.

Speaker 3 (02:02:40):
Absolutely Can't wait for those episodes to come out.
Emily, unfortunately we don'tget to collab a whole lot, so
whenever you and Cade get tocome on, it is just so much fun,
so we are so happy you're heretoday.
I know Game of Thrones just hada milestone.

Speaker 2 (02:03:00):
So what's going on over there with y'all and where
can our audience find you?
No, thank you.
It's always nice to even thoughit's kind of one-sided at this
point, to hang out.
So, yeah, kind of weird thisTuesday, as of recording, the
last canon episode of Game ofThrones has released.
It's a podcast where I had neverseen Game of Thrones and I was

(02:03:21):
fairly spoiler free and decidedwhat the hell, I'll make a
podcast about watching it andfor the first time and whatever.
And so my sister Kate joined onRotterdam season three as a
quote unquote expert and so,yeah, we did all of Game of
Thrones that ended last year.
And then we decided to doDragon House, the two seasons

(02:03:41):
that are out, and we just didthe season finale with Jay on
Tuesday.
It released on Tuesday and sowe're kind of up in the year.
We'll probably do one likerecap, final bonus episode just
to talk about everything.
Now that we can look at anything, it's amazing to be spoiler

(02:04:02):
free.
I'm kind of numb right nowbecause I don't know, like, what
to do.
We do have a plan for anotherpodcast because there is
currently nothing else Game ofThrones out there to do, but
we're probably going to take thesummer off, but if you guys
want to do Game of Thronesthings, it's called Game of
Growns.
We've been doing it since 2019.

(02:04:24):
And yeah, so that's all we'vegot right now.
But if you follow, you know, the Instagram, or mostly the
Instagram, honestly, game ofGrowns pod.
When Kate and I start workingon the next one, that will be
also where we post it, so youguys can see what we're up to as

(02:04:44):
well.

Speaker 3 (02:04:45):
Yep, and, as always, everything will be in the show
notes of this episode, so youcan find everybody that you've
heard here today.
The last bit of news, eric, that just dropped is Sidney
Sweeney will be in the SplitFiction movie, which is a story
I covered last month over onwhat I Missed.
So how fitting is it that thatdropped here this evening.

Speaker 4 (02:05:06):
That's like breaking news in the Discord that movie's
going to be outstanding.

Speaker 3 (02:05:09):
Can't wait to see it.

Speaker 4 (02:05:10):
Did we know that John Chu was directing it?

Speaker 3 (02:05:12):
I don't think we did no, and John Chu from Wicked and
, of course, in the Heights, isdirecting.
So, yeah, anyway, like I said, you can find all of our friends
in the show notes of thisepisode.
Please make sure you continueto support and check out
everybody in the Super RacketBros Cinematic Universe and also
head on over to Apple Podcastsand Spotify.
Leave those five-star reviews.

(02:05:33):
It is so very helpful toeverybody and in terms of
algorithm and all that behindthe scenes stuff that we don't
really truly understand but wepretend to.
But also make sure you followus over on social media for the
way for a podcast, that includesInstagram tick tock, our, our
growing discord page.
We post now on YouTube as well, and we're streaming a bunch on

(02:05:53):
Twitch Now.
Usually those are scheduled, but we've been popping on from
time to time as far as somesurprise streams as well.
So if you find yourself wantingto maybe get a little bit more
from the podcast, if you are inthe position to do so, eric will
let you know a little bit moreabout that before we head out
for the evening.

Speaker 4 (02:06:10):

which we are growing everysingle month on that platform

macaroni, corey from the worldis my burrito.

we are very much appreciativeto them.
In return for their gratitude,we're going to go ahead and give
them the behind the scenes, theearly access, the extra content
.
