What Did I Miss?
We brought in the most specialof special guests.
We went back like 15 plus yearsto make this happen.
We're going back in time with alongtime friend and Phil.
I'm excited to get into thisone for that reason.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, making their
first appearance on the podcast
since 2019.
What was the name of thatepisode, eric?
It was Cartoon ConspiraciesWith Researcher, with Researcher
Aaron.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Why did we give her
that tag, was she?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
researching, because
I was doing research.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
No, yeah because she
was sending us research very
early on, like a ton of stuff.
We had a payroll.
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Like a true CEO.
Yeah, no dental.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Oh, that's right, we
did offer dental yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
And my lower teeth
are still jacked.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, yeah well.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, about that.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Thanks, yeah, no.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
You were yeah, thanks
.
Yeah, let's see I actually havehold on MCU scores.
I have stuff about the Titanic.
Yeah, love Pass Endgame.
Thomas the Train this one'scalled the Scoop.
What's this one about?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
it's an unfortunate
film, not a great ice cream
pivot, pivot.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I was just trying to
see what notes were sent over.
So anyway, aaron, it is so goodto see you.
You have been to, you've beenup to so much.
It's been really great gettingto catch up with you and see
where life has taken you.
So if you want to introduceyourself and what you do and
what you're working on, becauseit's pretty cool, I mean it's
alright it's okay, it'sclassified.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
No, hey, hi everybody
.
I'm Aaron, because it's prettycool, I mean it's all right,
it's fine, it's okay, it'sclassified.
No, hey, hi everybody.
I'm Erin.
I almost gave my stream taglike I was introducing myself in
a stream.
No, I mean, yeah, if you want,it's ErinMyLaundry on Twitch,
follow me.
But yeah, I most importantly am, importantly, am like one of
(02:52):
phil and eric's most important, earliest, most loyal friends.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Um the things I have
seen, the memories, also
classified, I won't be talking Iwas gonna say, you know, if
you're under an.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
NDA.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, join their
Patreon and maybe we'll talk.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
You might get a clue.
You know we talked a lot ofYanni, though, so I'm not sure
there was anything about him.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Chronicles of Eric
reboot.
No see, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Never mind.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
We can shout out to
MySpace which, luckily those
videos are not accessible.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Oh Is Craps not on
there?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Craps not on there.
Craps is on Facebook,unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I should probably
delete those.
I was going to say Chroniclesof Eric I was actually still
kind of proud of, but Crapsmight be outdated.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I think Craps 1 and 2
are fine.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
We didn't like the
third one, but problematically,
I think they're not great.
We have to probably explaincraps.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
We just keep saying
craps and no one knows what
we're talking about yeah so.
So there I used to be, and Istill kind of am a big fan of
the ghost hunters tv show.
It's not around anymore, buttheir name for their group was
taps, the transatlanticparanormal society.
They were based out of newengland and our thing thing was
we made an alternate versioncalled Craps, where we would
(04:09):
find bad rappers and just beatthe shit out of them.
Wasn't?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
that Was Brock in
that one Brock is in it.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Guys, I found them so
fast.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Oh, my God yeah we
might have fast.
Yeah, they're on.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Facebook yeah we
might have to Hell.
Yeah, I'll private them, so wecan at least still watch them.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, that's
incredible.
Oh my God, I'm so scared.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
The first rapper we
did was Soulja Boy, yeah.
The second one was KevinFederline and then the third one
was DJ Khaled, which is wherewe like lost it.
Like for the first two I thinkwe had something going but kept,
but DJ Khaled who was alsoplayed by Brock with a pillow
(04:55):
under his shirt.
That was the cosplay.
That was the cosplay.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
That one wasn't good,
no, that one, that was that one
.
We realized maybe we shouldn'tbe doing, we shouldn't be doing,
we shouldn't be doing this.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I will say they are.
We were ahead of our time interms of content creation, but
it just wasn't the right contentcreation, no for sure uh, the
ones on facebook do not haveaudio though, so I don't know
what happened.
Oh, yeah, it may have just beenlike removed over time if there
was something in there.
Oh, you know why?
Because I there's likecopyrighted music in that.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
So they removed it.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Remember there's a
cutaway to soldier boys, so
that's probably a hundredpercent.
So I wish I had had thewherewithal to back these up
over the years, but it justnever happened.
Oh my gosh.
So that's what craps is.
There's some way for a podcastlore that you weren't ready for.
He didn't know that you weregoing to get.
So, um, but yeah, uh.
Also, in terms of whateverprojects you're working on, do
(05:48):
you, did you want to share that?
Is it classified?
Speaker 3 (05:50):
I don't know what you
want to tell people, I mean,
I'm wearing the hoodie no,that's true I work for 2k games
as the community manager, soright now I'm working on uh, all
things, borderlands, borderlands 4, risk of rain and
any other projects that come myway which are classified.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yep, yep, so lots of
really cool stuff.
I'm excited for Borderlands 4.
I really liked 3, even though,like community-wise, I know
people were pretty mixed on it,but it's the only one I've ever
beaten because.
I played through it with ourbuddy Josh, but I enjoyed 3, so
I think people are a lot of.
As far as content creators, theresponse from the most recent
(06:31):
playtests have been reallypositive, so that's really good
and it looks fun.
I mean just trying to figureout what.
I think trying to figure outwhat the Borderlands community
wants shouldn't be too difficult.
You can tell me if I'm wrong, but you see what worked in 1 and
2 and then implement that andjust make it not like the movie.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (06:53):
It sounds easy.
It sounds so easy, but yeah itwas really.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
The game is really
fun.
I've played it a lot and we hadan event recently in LA where a
bunch of creators came out andplayed it.
And we had an event recently inLA where a bunch of creators
came out and played it and wedid a lot of community listening
.
We weren't invited, but it'sfine so we had a lot of
community listening, a lot offeedback back to the devs and,
(07:19):
yeah, it's going to be awesome.
You're going to feel reallyfucking bad when you see that
one of the guns is named afteryou, so whatever.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Oh, the Wait For it
gun.
Wait For it gun, the craps gun.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, it takes like
15 seconds to reload, oh man.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Really cool stuff.
I'm very excited to have youhere on this episode, thanks.
I tried to make it a wholereunion and bring Phyllyn in
from Read it and Reap also mysister, but she was just busy,
so we'll try again in the future.
But for those of you that arenew to the podcast and you've
never listened to an episodeever, this is not typically how
things go.
We're pretty structured aroundhere.
(08:00):
We're pretty proud of that.
But what did I miss is ourmonthly bonus episode where we
bring in guests and we eachshare a pop culture story.
What, what happened, eric?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I accidentally
clicked on it.
The audio is there and it wasthe cut to soldier boy it just
the audio is there.
It says the video has no sound.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
We might, I might
have to play this in the post
show.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
The quality is so bad
.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah, I had like a
really it was like filmed on a
really shitty 2000s camera.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, I think I might
still have the camera.
You probably still have thecamera.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Probably.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I might still have it
.
Yeah, I apologize.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I tried to keep it
together.
I heard the audio and then itwent Soulja Boy up in the air,
yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
It was a time.
Anyway, as I was saying, whatDid I Miss is an episode where
we bring in our friends, fellowcreators, and we each share a
pop culture story from theprevious month because you may
have missed something here inthe month of June and we'll each
share a story.
We'll go over kind of a Discordroundup where we're posting pop
(09:11):
culture news throughout theentire month, so we'll recap
that and then we'll play a fungame.
Eric will be trying to defendhis crown against Aaron.
This month he's won a coupletimes as far as Kahoot goes, so
we'll see how it goes this timearound.
But other than that, Eric, isthere anything else that we need
to go over, other than bringingin the most important part of
this episode?
Three people Doesn't matter.
We still need to bring in, ofcourse, the wheel of destiny.
(09:35):
Yeah, so here's how this isgoing to work.
You know what Eric feels aboutthe wheel.
It's the same way Elmo feelsabout Rocco.
Oh, rocco Rocco, really, whobought Rocco?
It's Rocco Rocco who boughtRocco.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
I thought you bought
him, so yeah.
So why are we feeding a rock?
Why are we spinning the wheel?
Well, we don't really know.
That's just how it goes.
There are three names on hereand to determine who's going to
go first, we are going to countdown 3, 2, 1, and by we I mean I
am going to count down 3, 2, 1.
And then we are going to countdown three, two, one, and by we
I mean I am going to count downthree, two, one.
(10:06):
And then we are going to say inthat cadence spin that wheel.
Three, two, one, spin thatwheel.
We're going to try to do thatat the same time.
We're going to try to do itsuccessfully.
We'll see how it goes.
I will say the pressure's onAaron.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Cause last episode we
like we went four for four for
the first time.
Yeah, it was probably the bestwe have ever done.
I want that goose egg.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
It'd be great if our
synergy lasted over the years
and we could just jump back intoit.
Do you have any questions abouthow this is going to go?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
So you're going to
spin the wheel and then we're
going to say three, two, one, spin that wheel.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
You did it.
I'm a little concerned now.
I'm a little concerned, we'regonna say three, two, one.
Okay, just making sure.
Okay, Because you'd besurprised why I have to do this
instruction.
You'd be shocked.
So we're gonna go.
We're gonna go If you guys areready.
Are you gonna be mad if I getit wrong Around the Well now?
(11:09):
It'll only be three times, soaround the third time maybe,
okay.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Excellent, it'll be
fine.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Chill, chill, alright
.
Three, two, one, spin thatwheel.
Okay, she got really excitedand I'm okay with it.
I'm okay with it, I understand.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I've ever gone first.
I don't know yeah that might bea first.
Well, now I don't know whatstory to start.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah, you don't like
it do you.
You don't like it, it's not afun place to be.
I will say, this month I thinkI have a story that I don't
think anyone's really gonnacover, so I feel pretty good
about it and it can go twodifferent ways.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
one of my stories was
kind of like just an overall
blanket story, but so I'll justdo this one.
Uh, in the interest of theearly 2000s, let's talk about
har, harold and Kumar.
How about that?
Let's do that story.
That's crazy Because Harold andKumar is getting a new sequel,
as Cobra Kai creators inked adeal to write and direct Harold
and Kumar, according to theHollywood Reporter, are going to
(12:16):
get some burgers and buzz onemore time.
John Hurwitz, hayden Schlossbergand Josh Heald, the creators
behind the worldwide Netflixsensation Cobra Kai, have closed
in on a deal to write anddirect a new installment of
Harold and Kumar, the buddystoner comedy movie, of course,
from the early 2000s.
They will also, as I mentioned, direct the feature, which is
(12:36):
being developed by Lionsgate.
Lionsgate owned MandatePictures.
It's a full circle moment forthe gentlemen, as their
Hollywood career got high thanksto writing the original movie,
2004's Harold and Kumar Go toWhite Castle, and then making
the directorial debut with the2008 Escape to Guantanamo Bay.
John Cho and Cal Penn, whoplayed the title characters, are
(12:56):
expected to return, althoughthe deals have not been made
with the actors quite yet.
Neil Patrick Harris, who isalso a key component of the cast
, and his involvement as ofright now is unclear.
So we have had conversationskind of in the past, eric, about
man.
It'd be like how could theyrelease some of these comedies
that from from like our, ourchild childhood, our teen years
(13:20):
and and like make them notoverly corny, still make them
fun and not be punching down, you know, and I think that's
going to be very interesting.
I will say I do trust John Choand Cal Penn.
They've stayed at least on theright side of things throughout
all of these years, unlike someof the other people from our for
movies from our youth.
So, Erin, I'll throw it to youfirst.
(13:41):
What is your, your kind ofknowledge about the Harold and
Kumar series?
Do you think this can work in2020, whatever it is, when this
comes out, and do you thinkthere is a place, like, for this
type of like kind of likeraunchy, fun comedy in current
day?
Speaker 3 (13:56):
I mean I'm going to
sound so old, but like as a mom,
like what?
What?
Like we're all parents like, isit?
My gut reaction is the way thatthey're gonna try to make this
relevant is it's gonna be Haroldand Kumar's kids and it's gonna
(14:17):
be like we're gonna do vape,like I don't know what's good I
I have.
No, I don't know.
I think there's somethingspecial about mid-2000s stoner
comedies where a lot of theshenanigans that you got into or
that they would get into justdon't really happen now.
(14:42):
Like it's not really somethingthat Are kids these days going
to 7-Elevens and buying all thesnacks?
Speaker 2 (14:53):
No, not at all, they
just smoke at home.
Yeah, they have it deliveredand smoke at home.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Do you think it's
going to be?
Actually, it's not Harold andKumar, it's actually the
adventure, the misadventures ofthe, the DoorDash delivery
driver.
That'd be kind of funny, yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Maybe they start the
order from DoorDash.
Don't get the DoorDash, thenhave to go to White.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Castle, yeah, or they
have to like find oh, that'd be
great Like the DoorDash guy islike I'm here and they look
outside and they're like I don'tsee you and it's like an
alternate dimension.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
It's like an old
address.
It's like their old address atthe apartment.
Oh, it could be the old address.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
It could also be the
door dasher drops off the White
Castle but then alsoaccidentally picks up one of
their kids and kidnaps them andbrings them back to the White
Castle, and they got to go getthem in exchange for the White
Castle.
I don't know man, I don't knowman, I don't know.
I think.
I'm on drugs right now I'mgoing to spaz out.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
I'm stuck in this box
.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yeah.
I agree with you Like there is aremember how I'm going to take
a sharp left here.
Remember how Cal Penn leftHouse a really good, high paying
job to to join the Obamaadministration and then within
the year his department shutdown.
I really want to find out, like, how he handled all that Cause
(16:12):
I would like to hear his story.
But yeah, he was a goodcharacter on house too.
He got a recurring role, allthat stuff so.
But you are right, like thosestoner comedies like pineapple
express, uh, stoner comedieslike pineapple express, uh,
grandma's boy, how high dude, where's my car?
Um, jay and silent bob, superbad to it.
Super troopers, like all thesemovies like couldn't really come
out today and and also theywouldn't necessarily be, they
(16:36):
wouldn't even really be funny.
I think maybe the ones thathave actually I don't know if
any of these have held up verywell in terms of the content.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
I don't think a lot
of them have yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Harold and Kumar go
to White Castle is really racist
, but it is a funny racist.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
As an Asian, I'll
just say it is a funny racist
movie it doesn't punch downbecause it's not the people that
are making the jokes are peopleof color, so so it's not like.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Remember the guys
that were driving around in the
trucks that kept drinking energydrinks, and they were
skateboarders and they were likeextreme.
I'm going to watch Harold andKumar go to White Castle.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Hold on, I feel like
I'm not going to like it as much
as I did back when I first cameout.
I just came out, I just I don'tthink I'm going to appreciate
it now the way I liked it then, which is sad.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
What do you think,
Eric?
Also, did you see GuantanamoBay?
Or Harold and Kumar Christmas?
Speaker 1 (17:40):
No, I cannot say that
I've seen either of those
classic gems.
I've seen Guantanamo Bay.
It's pretty funny.
Honestly, I cannot say thatI've seen either of those
classic gems.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I've seen Guantanamo
Bay.
It's pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Honestly, I've seen
Harold and Kumar, I've seen the
White Castle one, but it didn'tmean that much to me, so this
news isn't exciting.
I think what this news sparksas far as a conversation for me
is not necessarily can thismovie work post 2025?
(18:06):
Because I don't know that itcan.
Um, I think I think the comedyit it kind of ties into what I'm
actually feeling, which is thatlike we're just getting to the
point where these movies thatcame out 15 plus years ago, so
like when we were in high school, they're coming out with
sequels now for that nostalgiabait, so like the comedy.
(18:27):
It's not that it couldn't work, but it almost feels forced
because they're going for thenostalgia and like I'm like
looking, and I don't know ifthis like just started in the
past 10 years, but just lookingat the last decade, right, um,
they came out with a dumb anddumber two, uh, zoolander two.
They had another beverly hillscop movie with eddie murphy come
(18:51):
out last year space jam, uh, afew years what's it?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
what's that that's
about to come out?
Um, the one with leslie nielsen, what's that?
Uh, uh, the naked gun rebootingnaked gun.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, well so here's
Movies that came out in like the
80s, it seems like, or evenearly 90s, are getting rebooted.
But movies that came out in the90s slash early 2000s are
getting sequels and I don't knowwhen that started that trend.
It looks like in the lastdecade they started to pop up.
I feel like Dumb and Dumberstarted it Maybe.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Well, dumb and Dumber
, what two?
Yeah, dumb and Dumber-er.
The prequel I don't count aspart of it.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Oh, you're talking
about Dumb and Dumber-er.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
But that came out
pretty quickly.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
No, yeah, so Dumb and
Dumber 2, or whatever it was
called.
That came out way later and Ithink that might have been the
start, they're also rebootingScary Movie.
We talked about that a coupleof times ago.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Oh, no, yeah, it's
unfortunate.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
That's really sad.
I will say though, if theHarold and Kumar universe is all
canonical.
I would want this sequel toalso have Danny Trejo in it.
Because Danny Trejo was it?
Because Danny Trejo was in avery uh, harold and Kimura
Christmas or whatever.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yeah he's, he plays
himself.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
No, he plays the
father-in-law to Harold's
character.
So, yeah, he's Harold'sfather-in-law, so that would be
amazing to have grandpa macheteuh in in the in the sequel.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
So I'm fine with that
you know me, eric, like I'll
definitely see this.
Um, you know I'm a sucker forjust a movie that hopefully is a
fun time.
But you know we'll see like alike scary movie.
I don't have any.
I I don't think that's going tobe good at all.
I don't think it's.
It'll be possible for them notto make it just extremely cringe
and extremely corny, especiallywith today's horror movies.
(20:49):
What horror movies are ashoo-in to be mocked in the new
scary movie series?
Probably all of the JordanPeele films.
What a hereditary.
What are those movies now thatthey're going to try and make
fun of?
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Do you think they'll
put in the ones that are like
funny on purpose?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
like hard eyes and
megan yeah, maybe, yeah, so I
don't know but yeah, I justdon't think like, um, it is a
tough ass to like try andreinvent these movies all this
time later.
But you know, if they got it,obviously it's going to fully
depend on writing, so we'llwe'll see how that goes.
(21:33):
But yeah, new Harold and Kumaron the way, guys.
So we'll see and I willdefinitely be keeping an eye on
that.
Finally, all right, eric.
Well, all right, the two E'syou.
Finally, alright, eric.
Alright the two E's.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
We got the two E's
left, so we're gonna go 3, 2, 1.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Oh, we were P for a
little bit.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah or E or E.
Well, you know what I say, Phil.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
BRD Nope.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
PP, that's my new
bathroom saying anyway, moving
on, we're going to count down, yep, we're going to say it, yep,
and we're going to do it.
Yes, let's see who comes next.
All right, three, two, one Spinthe wheel.
Spin that wheel.
I couldn't even say it.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Aaron, aaron wheel, I
couldn't even say it.
Aaron, aaron.
Yeah, all right, my turn, youready all right, what?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
what do you got here
and what did we miss?
In june, I bring you two shortstories from and the reason I
say two is because they'reliterally two paragraphs each.
Uh, from the reputable,incomparable.
It's a crime.
It's not in the Library ofCongress.
Coast to Coast.
What did you miss?
You missed Bigfoot, bigfoot andyou missed an alien sighting.
(23:01):
So, here we go, ready, make anew wheel.
We're gonna find out Pick, putor alien.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
If they're both two
paragraphs, do them you got them
?
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Yeah, no, I got it.
Okay.
So one takes place in.
Let's go to.
I was just in California.
Let's go back to California.
This was from two days ago.
An odd piece of doorbell camerafootage from California shows a
strange figure resembling analien creeping down the driveway
of a house.
The weird video was reportedlycaptured earlier this month at a
(23:34):
residence in Compton.
It was subsequently shared onsocial media by bewildered
homeowner Jessica Ortiz.
In the footage featured above, which I will share a screenshot,
a diminutive figure that seemsto sport a bulbous head,
reminiscent of a gray alien, suddenly beside the front porch.
(23:54):
It quickly shuffles along thedriveway before vanishing from
sight Moments later.
A curious cacophony of soundscan be heard, presumably caused
by the presence of the eerieinterloper.
Okay, this is great journalism, shedding some additional light
on the mystifying footage.
Ortiz told YouTuber HiddenUnderbelly that the sound at the
(24:15):
end of the video was that ofher back gate.
However, motion sensor camerasin the rear of the house did not
detect the creepy visitor.
Interestingly, ortiz indicatedthat quote my aunt lives next
door and she said at about 12.45am she heard three loud bangs
on the roof of her house and anunsettling scratching sound that
(24:36):
caused her to flee the room toher room and pray To that end.
The bizarre footage wasunderstandably sparked
considerable speculation online, with many viewers positing that
the peculiar figure could havebeen an otherworldly visitor.
More skeptical observers, however, argued that the alien
may have simply been a personsneaking around Ortiz's home
(24:59):
while wearing baggy clothingthat concealed their identity.
What do you make of the eyebrowraising doorbell footage?
And then it tells you to gotalk about it on the Coast to
Coast Facebook page.
But do that at your own risk.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Is this.
It Is this the right video.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Alright, Eric, you
ready Now.
If you look to the right handside.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
you'll see it, this
is a real, uh real signs moment
here, folks.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
There, it is there,
it is there it is?
Speaker 3 (25:30):
It's the alien from
American Dad, it's Roger.
Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
I wish our friend
Ivan was here.
He loves Roger.
Okay, there it is.
You know what my favorite?
I'm not the biggest fan ofamerican dad, but my favorite
ongoing gag in that show is whenthey go to do anything like
with with a new character andit's always just roger in a
costume.
It's the best, one of the best, ongoing gags in animation.
(25:58):
Um, and that's definitely whatit looks like here yeah, so
there goes.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
there it goes.
Yeah, what do we think?
What do we think?
Does that pose a threat to?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
us?
Are we sure?
Earthlings, are we sure that'snot like a naked raccoon or
something like that?
Like, are we sure, a nakedraccoon?
Speaker 3 (26:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
It's walking on two
legs A naked raccoon that
learned to walk Do rac.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Naked raccoons wear
clothes generally around you.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
A naked raccoon
learning to walk is more
terrifying than an alien.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
I would say that's
scarier.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
A naked raccoon that
learns to walk.
What are the chances?
Speaker 3 (26:31):
A naked raccoon is
wild, that's insane.
Well, speaking of bipedal, I'lljust go right into this next one
.
So this is a Bigfootphotographed in New Hampshire,
so I'll just post this in chatfor you.
In Riverside, so a couplehiking.
This is not, this is just aphoto, so you don't have to post
(26:53):
the video.
A couple hiking in NewHampshire snapped a photo of a
mysterious creature that somesuspect could be a juvenile
Sasquatch Little baby boy.
Sasquatch little baby boy.
The interesting picture featuredin the video above was
reportedly snapped by a witnesswho encountered the animal as he
and his wife were near a streamon Mount Washington's Aminousik
Ravine Trail.
(27:13):
We thought it was a beardrinking and I took a photograph
.
He recalled.
When it heard us it ran away ontwo legs.
The bipedal nature of the beastunderstandably startled the
pair and prompted them to maketheir own hasty exit from the
scene.
Watch out, it could be a nakedraccoon.
The picture from the couple'sbrief encounter with the
suspected Sasquatch is ratherremarkable, as the creature
(27:33):
appears to be a small primatereaching down into the stream.
That said, the lack ofperspective and the almost
cinematic nature of the imagewill undoubtedly leave skeptical
viewers wondering if thetoo-good-to-be-true photo might
be a well-crafted hoax.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Are you sure this is
the right link?
This is a video.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
No, there's a still
image in it.
It's a still image in that.
Oh, I kept going through it.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Oh, okay, I kept
going through it and there was
another video in it.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Yeah, it's like an
eight-minute long video, so
don't worry about that, but theimage is there in the thumbnail.
There it is.
It's a raccoon.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
It's a furry raccoon.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
I'll be honest, it
looks, I mean, obviously,
bigfoot.
We, you know a lot of people dothink Bigfoot is some sort of
like unidentified primate, because this looks like just a
chimpanzee, which gives me, youknow what's?
The planet of the apes, vibes, and I hate it.
So if this is a chimpanzee outin the new hampshire wild, shoot
it immediately, please, uh,because we don't need that to
(28:33):
happen.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
So this is my worst
nightmare yeah, what if it is a
chimpanzee?
Speaker 1 (28:38):
that's worse.
That might be worse, that mightbe worse.
Listen, I'm just saying I thinkthese are interesting, but this
is we're in 2025 right now, wondering if if anything's ai or
real, like I think I think.
I think I can't even tellwhat's real or not at this point
.
Oh, you think that's?
You think that's ai?
(28:59):
Listen, I don't know.
I'm just saying we have thetechnology where I should be
able to finally see it, yeah, and now I can't even tell what's
real or not.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
So it's a weird place
to be.
What I will do for you, Eric,is I will join MUFON and I'll
get access to these classifieddocuments.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
And I'll tell you if
they're real.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Yeah, okay, I'll tell
you.
Yeah, we'll go to a meetingtogether, hell yeah.
Just like slide Can you guysjust show it up to a Mufon
meeting, like sup guys, what'sgoing on?
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Wait for a podcast.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
You're here to see
the aliens.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
I'd like to meet you
at a Actually can we reach out
to them?
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Eric, we're going to
expand our conventions into the
UFO community.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
I don't think so, to
meet me in like a random diner
in a trench coat and be like.
Here's the files.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
And then just show me
.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
And then I look at it
and I'm like this still looks
like a raccoon.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Aaron, this is just a
generative AI picture of a
cartoon raccoon wearing a coat.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Missed a window.
Missed a window, yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, it's tough out
here, when do you?
Land on aliens in Bigfootic, which you're, because you know
that I'm the cryptid guy.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
So yeah, that's what
I was saying.
It was like I.
I feel like it's 2025, so, likeat this point, I feel like we
should have captured a prettyclear image at this point, not
wondering if it's a raccoon or achimpanzee, like I, I think.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Well, ufos slash
aliens that.
I mean, that's been acknowledged, like that exists.
Is it a gray bipedalRoger-looking thing?
Probably not.
We don't know what it reallylooks like, but all that
communication has happened.
Bigfoot is a different story.
I mean, I personally loveBigfoot, I love the lore and
(30:44):
everything, but, like you said, said it's 2025, this
motherfucker.
I mean, we are still findinglike new stuff in the Amazon
every week, so it's possible.
But I would say, like, in termsof ranking cryptids, bigfoot is
higher on the list because itcould just be easy for some sort
of small community of apes toexist somewhere.
(31:07):
I don't know about NewHampshire, but I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Or a small community
of people that dress up like
apes.
I mean, look at West Virginia, dude.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Look at West Virginia
, like how many people just live
out in the woods or in theAppalachian, appalachian,
appalachian, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Three months later,
heavy hair growth.
It could be anybody.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Also think about,
like, what does Jessica Ortiz
have in her driveway that wouldlike entice a gray alien to walk
up that driveway?
Like, why her?
What is she missing?
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Yeah, it really
hardly ever is Unlimited like
Red Bull or something in herfridge.
I watch one of my favorite showsthat me and Liz watch all the
time.
It's on HBO.
It's called Paranormal Caughton Camera and I always skip the
UFO sightings because they'reall just lights in the sky.
It's all the same video overand over again, but every once
(32:01):
in a while there is like analien sighting or like an alien
on the ground, and it's neversomebody who's like Harvard law
professor sees alien in theirfront yard and captures video.
It's never that person.
So you know, we got to figureout why they're targeting
certain people.
Maybe they know to target likethe people that they know no one
would ever believe.
(32:22):
So they're like, oh yeah let'sshow ourselves to these people,
because no one's going tobelieve them.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
So I did hear, I did
hear a thing on another podcast
about like speculation as tolike why and a lot of it also
has to do with location, like um, air pollution, light pollution
, things like that and if you'regoing out in the backwoods in
west virginia you're not gettinga whole lot of light pollution,
which is probably I don't knowbetter for For stars, Whenever I
(32:47):
go outside.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Whenever I go out
into the like I'm driving
through like the middle ofnowhere Florida and I see stars.
I'm like what, what is that?
Speaker 3 (32:54):
What?
What are those?
They're here.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Yeah, or when we went
out to California.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Somebody get Mufon on
the phone.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Yeah he's I phone,
yeah he's, I'm gonna call, move
on.
But all that stuff isfascinating to me.
Still, um, shout out, rip to uhthe x files and my dark cryptid
fantasy.
All right, but, eric, uh, wehave what.
We have some more work to do wedo um.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
So you may be
wondering why is the wheel back
up?
Well, we could just let me gowith mine, but we can't do that.
We have to have one moreopportunity to spin that wheel.
So yeah, we gotta lock in.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
I'm not missing this
up, Alright, three, two one, one
Spin Fucking, damn it man.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Not only did you mess
up the cadence, you also said
one on your own.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
That's my thing.
Yeah, it's literally my whole.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
thing.
Eric won, eric, you won.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
We got blue.
Eric, you're the winner, did we?
Win, that's really the questionDid any of us really?
Speaker 1 (34:05):
win.
Here is my story that I'm goingto cover.
So my story is about Will Smithactually, who's been going
around and basically doing thiswhole tour between music and
interviews and just basicallymaking everybody forget about
the slap heard around the world.
(34:27):
And with Will Smith he actuallyhad famously, infamously
revealed that he passed on therole for the Matrix.
But what some people havelearned, including myself, is
that he also rejectedChristopher Nolan's Inception.
He has never said this publiclyand this finally came out where
he said Chris Nolan brought meInception.
(34:49):
I didn't get it.
I never said that out loud.
Now that I think about it, it'sthose movies that go into
alternate realities.
They don't pitch well, but I'mhurt by that one and the Matrix.
Apparently, the reports arethat the role had initially been
offered to Brad Pitt, potentially then Will Smith,
before landing on LeonardoDiCaprio.
I think that's pretty crazythat Leo is the third wheel
(35:14):
there, but I couldn't imaginethat movie any other way.
I know me and Phil are big fansof that movie and, aaron,
whether or not you've seen that,my big question is if you've
seen it, what do you think aboutthis?
What type of fucking moviewould this be with Will Smith in
the role and if you haven'tseen it, are there any movies
out there that you've heardabout?
(35:34):
Some of these like wish washycastings that you wish came, you
know, came true.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Well, I did see it.
I'm pretty sure Inception wasthe last movie I watched before
I went into the military, whichI don't know what I have to
think about that.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Your lore is crazy.
I forgot about that Will.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Smith.
I forgot about that six yearsof my life.
Me too.
Will Smith in Inception doesnot seem right to me, but then I
have to think like, but he wasreally good in I Am Legend, Like
that was a good, serious rolefor him.
I don't think he would havebeen the right fit for Inception
(36:20):
at all.
I think the way it was castwith who it was cast with, like
Elliot Page, was awesome in it.
What's the French woman's name?
She's so pretty.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
I love her.
She was really good in it.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Yeah, her name.
She's wonderful Marion.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Coutillard, how do
you pronounce her last name?
Coutillard?
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Coutillard, how do
you pronounce her last name
Coutillard Coutillard.
This is tough.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Marion was great yeah
.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Marion was awesome.
I just really loved it.
I also really loved, in thatsame vein, leonardo DiCaprio.
I forget if Shutter Island cameafter Inception.
Leonardo DiCaprio, I forget ifShutter Island came after
Inception, but I would becurious to know if he would have
landed that role had he notgotten Inception, because that
(37:13):
was a fucking great movie and Ithink that I think that if it
was Will Smith instead, can youimagine like Will Smith and
Shutter Island maybe?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
fucking again, also a
different movie.
Both of those movies came outin 2010.
Inception and Shutter IslandInteresting.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
So Leo was having a
hell of a year that year and
then had to wait until the.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Bear movie to get an
Oscar Crazy.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
And don't forget that
Will Smith also turned down the
Matrix and Django Unchained.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, yeah, not very
good as far as some of those big
like, especially considering hewas an independent same and in
black.
But thank God he did that movieAfter Earth, that M Night
Shyamalan movie, I believe itwas.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Oh yeah, that was the
one with his son, right, yeah,
yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Such a good movie.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Oh yeah, that was the
one with his son, right, yeah,
yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Such a good movie.
I think that if he was inDjango Unchained, Django
Unchained would have been likeWild Wild West.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Some dancing yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
I think it would have
been too.
I don't know when I see.
I know he's capable likePursuit of Happiness and stuff.
He's capable of having somereally good, serious roles.
But to me is just, I go to thecorniest version I can of these
movies.
I'm like that's what will smithwould bring to the table.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
But I'm sure he would
have done fine.
That's what he won for, right.
He won for king.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
Yeah, the year of the
slap, yeah I've uh, oh, did he
win for that?
Yeah, no because, uh, no.
Did he win for emancipation?
No, no because no.
Did he win for Emancipation?
No, that doesn't sound right.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
I'm pretty sure.
No, it was King Richard.
It was King Richard King.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Richard, I think he
was promoting it at that time.
But yeah, I'm wondering whatthe rap would have been for
Django Unchained, no, it mighthave been cool.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
It might have been,
it just would have been a
different kind of goofy, AlsoLeonardo DiCaprio's in that one
too.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
This is a weird
coincidence, yeah yeah, have you
guys also heard any of his newmusic?
Because it's not good.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Oh, please, the video
of him with the food there and
he's talking about chewing.
He's taking off more than hecan chew and then chewing it.
Yeah, that's usually how itworks.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
I haven't seen it.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
I'm not talking about
the girls' ones, the girls'
ones are pretty bad, although Iwill say this was going around
on Twitter.
That song it's a tempo issue, because if you adjust the tempo
it's actually not bad, but it'sso slow paced.
I'll send you guys some of thembecause it's like okay, this
(39:44):
would be okay, but the way thatit's released now is not good.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The freestyle video is pretty,it's the lunch break freestyle.
It just feels like a midlife.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Does he bring up the
slap in?
It, yeah, it feels like amidlife crisis happening before
our eyes.
He's also cursing now, which Idon't ever really care about
that.
But when your whole brand hasbeen, I don't curse in my raps,
and now you're just doing itagain.
You want us to just forget theslap, forget that.
That's your brand.
It's just like really weirdbehavior.
(40:20):
But I mean, listen, beingmarried to Jada will do that.
Listen, being married to Jadawill do that.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
I think that I've
noticed a lot of people that are
like older Gen X and boomersare starting to have like
identity crises where they'restarting to realize that they're
becoming irrelevant.
Like celebrities, especially, they're starting to realize
they're becoming irrelevant andthe things that they say and
(40:44):
like and the things that theyonce believed in are becoming
irrelevant.
So they're like grasping at,sort of like trying to remain
cool with the kids and it's just, it's like embarrassing dad
energy Like yeah, that's a goodway to describe it honestly.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Yeah, and that
actually tracks for Will Smith,
specifically, specifically.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
that's exactly what
yeah, yeah, like you see, like
you know, like brett michaelstrying to like make a comeback
and axl rose is still performingincoherently, and it's just
like, what are you doing?
It's okay to retire.
Like you can find a new hobbydo we have?
Speaker 2 (41:22):
what's the last?
I mean, I didn't see kingrichard, but what in his
filmography like, what are thoseas of like late, are his big
hits?
You know, like I can't, I'mtrying to remember, google it
what the last will smith movielike I really enjoyed, was I
mean you like, you like therewas a performance in bad boys.
(41:43):
Did you like his performance inBad Boys?
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Yeah, Does that not
count?
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Oh yeah, Bad Boys is
fine, yeah, bad Boys, I think,
is like a phone-it-in role Notthat he phoned it in, but he can
just do that whenever he needsto.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
See, I'm looking at
his filmography.
He has really good seriousroles, really good serious roles
Seven Pounds even I Robot wasreally good I.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Am Legend.
I like I Robot.
I think I Robot is.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Pursuit of Happiness,
emancipation, aladdin.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
Well, you know what
it is?
Serious roles.
He was an executive producer onCobra Kai.
That's so weird.
Okay, you know what?
Speaker 2 (42:21):
it is.
I didn't notice this.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
So there was like a
huge jump, a huge, huge jump in
his filmography.
I believe from oh no, he hadSuicide Squad.
I was like that after Earthmovie came in 2013.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
Oh yeah, Suicide
Squad.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yeah, then he had
Suicide Squad Focus.
What are we?
Some kind of Suicide?
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Squad.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Bright, which wasn't
very great.
He did do Aladdin, which againI personally think he saved that
movie.
I mean, that was 2019.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
Was he in Secret Life
of Bees?
I don't remember him in thatand it says that he was in it.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
That's weird.
If you're pulling up IMDb, youmight have to just set it to
actor though.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Spies in Disguise
that might be why?
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Because he might have
been like a producer.
Don't bring up Spies inDisguise.
Speaker 1 (43:08):
Late to the Party.
Late to the Party.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Spies in Disguise.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
Bad Boys for Life is
2020.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
Remember Hitch.
Hitch is great, I love.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
Hitch.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
I love Hitch.
Hitch is so goofy I.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
I feel like he's in
his element in Hitch.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
That is one of my
favorite Wildcats, hitch 2 needs
to happen.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
I thought there was a
Hitch 2 with somebody else.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
No.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
Maybe we don't have
to Do we really want to see
Kevin James in 2025?
.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
I don't think so
Respectfully.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Respectfully.
What's he looking like, kevinJames?
What do you think?
Kevin james?
Speaker 1 (43:45):
looks like 15 years
or 20 years later oh, he looks
fine yeah, he looks like kevinjames, just older he looks
exactly exactly did I make itsound like he was like some
hideous monster?
Speaker 2 (43:56):
now, I didn't mean
that, I just meant, you know, we
I mean we got enough mall copsthat I think I I kind of got
tired of seeing kevin james, that's all back in february 2025
, there was reported by YahooEntertainment that a Hitch 2 was
being developed by Will and theoriginal director was not
involved and it was going toyeah, but so again, this is
(44:16):
another thing after that.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
This is another
example of like sequels coming
out 15 years later.
Like that seems to be the trendIs Disney live actions or live
actions of animations, reboots, and now we're going 15 plus
years into sequels.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
Also, Kevin James
looks like Joe Rogan now.
That's definitely unfortunate.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Maybe he is Joe Rogan
.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
It might be.
I just sent a picture in thechat about it.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
He did.
Kevin James did do that MMAmovie.
He did.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
He did he's looking
like yeah, and also, what would
the, what would the the story be?
Speaker 3 (44:57):
for H2?
.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Like.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
They're kids, his
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
No, you're just going
to add kids.
She keeps whole thing.
No, you're just going to addkids?
Speaker 1 (45:06):
She keeps saying that
, but it's actually accurate.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
It's so accurate,
like Freaky Friday that's coming
out or just came out.
Freaky Friday is another greatexample.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
That looks fucking
awful.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
Yeah, I did have
hopes that Materialists would be
kind of like Hitch and it isnot.
Speaker 3 (45:25):
Yeah, I heard that
wasn't great either.
You were really high on thattoo.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
I was, but Dakota
Johnson is terrible.
She is maybe the worst of theworst Nepo babies in Hollywood
because she is so untalented.
Speaker 3 (45:41):
I don't think she's
bad.
I think the parts that arewritten for her are bad.
I think that all of the stuffIs there.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
a good Dakota Johnson
performance I was going to say
I've also seen her in a lot ofinterviews and she gives off the
same energy.
I think she's just playingherself.
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
I think she's good.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
The only good thing
she's done.
Her best performance was on theEllen show.
That good the only good thingshe's done.
Her best performance was on theEllen show.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
That got rid of Ellen
.
That was her best performance.
No, she did another interviewwhere she cried on command.
It was very sweet.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
I cried on command
when I left Materialist, so her
and I are in this together, yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
I like her, I think
she's lovely.
I think that all of the shitthat she's been in, the parts
that are written for her, justsuck yeah.
Where there's smoke, there'sfire.
What it might just be her.
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
But yeah what was
this original story about Will
Smith.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
We actually were
pretty.
We just got to hear from Hitch.
Yeah, we were okay.
We're still on track.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
She was in Suspiria,
by the way.
That was a really good.
She was great in that you madethat up.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
I don't know what
that is.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
No, I didn't, it
sounds suspicious.
It's a movie Came out in 2018.
She was good in it.
It's a remake with tilda, withtilda swinton, oh, and mia, and
mia goth is in it too tildaswinton, the the asian uh
character from dr strange.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
Oh no, whoops, but
not tilda uh.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
Oh, no, whoops.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
But Not Tilda.
Those are our stories for thismonth.
We usually take this time to goover any stories that just
missed the cut or any alternatestories that we had.
Erin, did you have anythingelse that you were thinking
about presenting, or were thosethe only two?
Speaker 1 (47:40):
It is okay.
If that's all you have.
Yeah, if you don't, that's fine, that's totally fine.
This is like a bonus, likewe're going to throw them out
really quick and mention them,so anything you got oh, I had a
oh yeah.
Okay, toss them out.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
New York City was
full of bees last week.
Not the bees?
Yeah, the bees.
There were so many bees thatthey were creating little
tornadoes in the city.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
I did hear about that
.
That's crazy, yeah, that wasone of my stories.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
Yeah, Mine was mostly
just fucking goofy shit that
you know.
I love that.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Did you see any of
the bees?
I mean, that story is terrible.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
I didn't.
I stayed home because it's toohot.
It was 100 degrees, so I didn'tgo into the office.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
Anybody else want to
watch a bee movie right now?
We were talking about that theother night.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Phil movie right now
we were talking about that the
other night.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
Oh, you mean like
this bee is ruining my life.
Why is?
Speaker 3 (48:30):
it always on yogurt
night.
Actually, yes, I do Morty JerrySeinfeld, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
He's the only that's.
The only character that's sanein that entire movie is Patrick
Warburton, and everyone is justshitting on him.
It's great.
So my only the only other storyI was going to go over.
Like I said, it was kind ofjust a comprehensive list of all
the games that were talkedabout or announced for Summer
(48:59):
Games Fest.
So again, it wasn't really astory per se, but stuff like
Resident Evil, um, the new, likethe Liza P uh DLC that came out
.
The new Wu-Tang game lookspretty cool.
Um, what else was on here?
Ark Raiders looks interesting.
The Hitman World ofAssassination video that showed
(49:20):
that there's also going to be.
Oh, I'm sorry, that showed thatthere's also going to be.
Oh, I'm sorry, the people thatmade Hitman are making a 007
game, which I think could beinteresting.
There supposedly is going to be.
What was it here?
(49:41):
Where did it go?
Oh, have you guys seen thatgame that was announced called
Ill, where it's just like thesedisgusting creatures and it has
like the little baby?
Yeah, that game looks gross.
Man, I'll definitely watchsomebody play it, but like that
game looks disgusting.
Speaker 3 (49:59):
I'll play it.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
There you go.
Please stream it so we canwatch.
Okay, yeah, just stuff that wasannounced at Summer Games Fest
that I was going to go over anew Sonic Racing game.
What was it?
What?
Speaker 3 (50:13):
did you buy on the
Steam sale?
Speaker 2 (50:15):
I only bought two
games I bought.
I bought what's it calledSleeping Dogs and I bought one
more, but I don't know what itis.
Looking at this, looking at mylibrary, that's probably that's
kind of a problem.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yeah, I was like you
bought a game.
You didn't know what it was.
Oh, a game about digging a holeis a dollar off, I gotta get
that.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
I already bought it.
I bought it like two weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
I figure we'll
probably end up playing it.
Yeah, yeah, now I'm goingthrough my Steam.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
It's single player,
it's only one player.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
Oh is it.
Take two holes.
I told Aaron to get peak, soI'll get peak Also in case your
listeners want to know.
Borderlands 3 is 95% off.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yeah, it's like $3.
I got Borderlands 2 for free acouple weeks ago, so yeah.
Yeah, but that was it.
Um.
There was a jurassic worldrevolution.
3 obviously was the big one.
For me, that was the one I'mmost excited for.
We got new footage of mafia, the old country, um hell yeah
wild gate looks interesting.
There is a split gate too.
That people weren't very happyabout, so that is interesting.
(51:20):
Um the resident evil, I think anew what was it called?
Silent Hill game was announcedas well.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
Mafia the Old Country
.
Those are people I work withtoo, and they are super awesome.
I can't wait for that game.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
I love the Mafia
games.
Mafia 3 was a littledisappointing, but I still
played straight through itwithin the course of a couple of
weeks.
But I mean, as far asstorytelling goes, the Mafia
games are top tier.
So yeah, just I just wanted tosee if there are any games that
stood out for everybody.
But that was my only otherstory, Eric.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
OK, yeah, no, I mean
game wise, it's, it's.
It's getting pretty crazy asfar as announcements going into
next year, going into the restof this year.
We've been talking about Gamepass being sick as hell.
Rematch just came out and we'vebeen having a blast with that.
You mentioned peak, which, uh,super fun, can't wait to play
that again.
Uh, the only thing, gaming wise, I was going to tie into that
(52:16):
was that the, the xbox allyhandhelds were announced.
Uh, they're expected holiday2025.
Yeah, I mean, I like the ideabecause, like, I've been
considering getting a steam deckbecause, like I play so many
games that are perfect for that, like I would love to play slay
the spy or apolocho, like on thecouch.
Honestly, it would be kind ofgreat.
(52:36):
So, um, I've been consideringit and like, hearing this is
pretty cool.
Is it tied to silk song?
We don't know.
But, uh, again, we've at leastgot the footage this year that's
what you keep saying, but we atleast got some type of footage
and they're they're adamant it'scoming out this year.
So I, uh, I don't know, but, aaron, yeah, any games on the
(52:58):
horizon for you or anythingyou're looking at?
Before I go through my, mydiscord round up here.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
I mean, I've been
crushing Palia recently Got into
that I've been seeing a lot ofstreams on that.
Yeah, it's nice.
It's a really nice low stakesgame.
It's one of the ones where I'mactually comfortable with not
buying anything additional.
I'm cool with sticking to thebase game.
Other than that, peak Schedule1 is.
(53:26):
I fucking love Schedule 1.
That game is so fun.
I hope it wins at the gameawards for best indie.
I hope it gets nominated.
Um, let's see through my list.
I was doing another balder'sgate run.
That was fun.
Drive beyond horizons is alsoreal goofy, uh, guilty of sock
(53:47):
is real.
Is real.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Yeah, we considered
that one, Phil, we just never
got to it.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
It's good.
It's a little more structuredthan the other, like goofy co-op
games, but it's still reallygood.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Is Drive Beyond
Horizons, the one where you have
to collect parts for your car.
Yeah, it's good.
Yeah, I've been seeing it onsocial media.
I was like this looks kind offun.
Yeah, yeah, it's good.
I've been seeing it on socialmedia.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
I was like this looks
kind of fun.
Yeah, it's really good, it'sfun to play.
I sort of I could like get acouple hours, just throw away a
couple hours of my life playingthat game happily, and it's fun.
It's a little.
The physics are a little wonky, which is amazing.
There's aliens in it.
Speaker 2 (54:27):
Yeah yeah, I've seen
that pop up on my um algorithm a
couple times.
I do have sad news to deliverthat pool cleaning simulator is
not very good.
It's very janky and Iultimately decided it was not
playable, so sorry to disappointeverybody about the simulator
well, now I'm just fucking.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
That's ruined my
whole year oh, jurassic World.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
Evolution is three
bucks.
Yeah, three dollars so wholeyear.
Oh, jurassic World.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
Evolution is three
bucks.
Yeah, three dollars.
So if you haven't played,Jurassic World Evolution 2,
which was the Game Room when itHappens episode this month.
You can get it for threedollars.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
A 95% discount is
crazy to me.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
But you know, what
here we?
Are Era.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is onsale.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
You keep bringing
that up really casually and it's
scaring me.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
I'm really into GTFO
Also.
That's a really fun one.
Speaker 2 (55:16):
Yeah, I've seen a bit
of that.
I will try Storage HunterSimulator soon, so hopefully
that will make up for the poolcleaning simulator.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
Have you played
Branch Simulator?
Speaker 2 (55:29):
I have.
We played it for a little bit.
It's just, it's fine, you know,it's good.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
It's good.
I kind of lost interest.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
I think just because
like Schedule 1 kind of fulfills
that farming aspect of it.
I don't really need to play.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Branch.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Simulator.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
But I really got into
TCG Card Stop Simulator early
in the year but pretty much allof the Pokemon mods have been
shut down so I stopped playingit.
Speaker 3 (55:58):
It was only a matter
of time.
Have you played Pokemon?
Infinite Fusion.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
I don't know what
that is.
What's that?
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
I feel like that
would be right up your alley.
It's a Pokemon game, but youcould fuse your Pokemons
together.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
Oh, I have seen
people playing this yeah.
Speaker 3 (56:15):
Yeah, I need to.
It's really fun to watch peopleplay.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
I need to look into
that.
So but yeah, eric, I thinkthat's.
This cursed Bidoof is crazy.
Oh my god, this Bidoof is soswole.
Holy sh oh.
Oh my god, this Bidoof is soswole.
It's a Machamp, but it hasBidoof's head.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
You know what game we
should play Is Date Everything.
I saw that Everyone, literallyevery voice actor you've ever
heard of, is in that game.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
It's so crazy, it's
so fun, it's really fun.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
I think because
Robbie Damon is a producer on it
, so that's probably why they'reall on there.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
It's a really good
game.
Speaker 3 (56:56):
I think that's also
going to get the get an award
there is a incredible.
Speaking of Fusion, my favoriteFusion from that game is a
Squirrelix and a Trubbish.
It's that bad boy right therein chat.
You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Let's see here what
image are you about to see?
What the hell is that?
It's a Squirrelix.
It's a little turd.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
Yeah, it's a little
cotton candy poop.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Crazy For those of
you, you for the audio only, or
here for the YouTube audience.
I'll just share this reallyquick.
Speaker 3 (57:35):
The best one, though,
is a Magikarp and a Trubbish.
Do you want to guess what itlooks like?
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Here is the Bidoof
with the Machamp body.
That's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
This is the Magikarp
and the Trubbish is.
The Trubbish is in the shape.
That's pretty good.
The uh, the magic carp in theTrubbish is the Trubbish is in
the shape of a paper, of aplastic bag, and the magic carp
is swimming in the plastic bag.
Yeah, that's so good they havea freaking uh swirl what's it
(58:12):
called in the plastic bag too.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
That's so funny
that's so good, okay.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
Well, eric, you
should probably go to the the
roundup before and since we'rewe're actively using the uh, the
riverside chat, I'll actuallyuse that to the benefit, because
there's usually so much newsthat okay, gets hard.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Okay, I was going to
type it out, but you can if you
want.
Speaker 1 (58:31):
Oh, either way.
Either way, I was just going topost them one by one.
The Discord roundup is going tobe pop culture stories that
have come through Discord, through our pop culture news
channel, and here are some ofthe highlights from this past
month that we didn't get into.
On this episode uh, blumhouse, blumhouse, blumhouse, blumhouse
is acquiring the rights to Sawfrom Twisted Pictures.
(58:54):
So if you're into the Sawfranchise, a little bit of news
there.
Jon Bernthal is joining TomHolland in Spider-Man Brand New
Day, per the Hollywood Reporter.
Uh, are we gonna see Daredevilthere?
It feels likely.
So super exciting news.
Sad news Ultraman Rising.
We love that movie.
(59:15):
On Netflix it is not getting asequel.
The reasons are unknown and Iam heartbroken.
But for those of you guys thatare enjoying the casting news
for Street Fighter, there'sannouncements from Roman Reigns
to Jason Momoa.
A lot of big names and alsointeresting names.
50 Cent, andrew Schultz, Ithink, got announced today.
(59:39):
It's like a weird likesmorgasbord of a cast.
Johnny Knoxville is going to bethe host of the Fear Factor
reboot on Fox.
Uh, I believe this is not thefirst time they rebooted this,
if I recall correctly.
I think this will beinteresting to see what happens.
The Spider-Man original trilogyis going to be returning to
(01:00:01):
theaters.
Uh, they're going to be doing arun end of September of this
year and an encore at the startof October of this year and an
encore at the start of October.
Lilo and Stitch 2 is getting alive action, and a sequel.
And, yeah, you already know howwe feel about Lilo and Stitch,
the Disney live actions.
We're not heading in the rightdirection any longer.
(01:00:23):
And finally, today, news aboutMatt Reeves sharing a photo of a
script for the Batman Part 2.
How much proof is this really?
I don't think this movie exists, in the way that Silksong
doesn't exist.
So those are all my stories, phil.
I'll throw it to you first, ifyou just want to go down the
line with quick thoughts, andthen, aaron, you can chime in to
(01:00:44):
any of these stories thatinterest you at all.
So, phil, run them down.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Yeah, a Blumhouse
acquiring Saw, that's cool.
I'm not going to.
I don't watch Saw movies but Ithink that's a good thing for
the series.
Jon Bernthal in Spider-Manmakes a whole lot of sense.
Like you said, daredevil willbe there.
I wouldn't be surprised if wesaw the Defenders in just all of
them.
Ultraman Rising that was newsthat we actually missed from a
(01:01:09):
few months back.
It's a bummer that it's notgetting a sequel.
We'll see what happens there.
The Street Fighter cast isinteresting.
That's probably a movie I willmost likely skip, but yeah, some
big names attached to it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
Not a movie, it's a
video game.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
What no?
They're making a Street Fightermovie.
Oh shit, okay, I thought whatno it's no.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
No, they're making a
street fighter movie.
Oh shit, okay, I thought theywere.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Yeah, dumbass uh,
johnny knoxville hosting fear
factor makes a lot of sense.
I can't imagine what they'regonna have people do.
Uh, the spider-man trilogyreturning to theaters.
Definitely want to see one andtwo.
Well, you know what I'll see?
I want to see emo Spider-Mandance down the street.
Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
You want to see the
dance on Spider-Man.
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Lilo and Stitch.
Live action sequel.
Great job everybody.
We're in hell.
Eric, you were part of that, sogood job.
I got a kid.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
I don't know what to
say.
That's Fear Factor, episode one.
Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
They're going to make
us watch it, just watching Lilo
and Stitch 2.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
And then the Batman
part two.
Even James Gunn is like it'scoming, it's never going to
happen.
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
It's going to take
time.
Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
Sure, sure man.
Robert Pattinson is doing amillion things.
He's a huge star, so he needsto keep adding new accents and
voices to his repertoire.
So he's done Batman.
He doesn't need to go back toBatman so we'll see what happens
, but, aaron, did you haveanything to add for any of these
?
You can pick and choose ifyou'd like.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
I mean just that live
action Lilo and Stitch.
I think we're kind of lost inDisney live actions.
We've lost our way, so I don'tknow what else.
We can't scare Gen Alphaanymore, so Fear Factor is not
going to do it.
What are they going to do?
You have to.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
I don't even.
I can't even think of something.
Put your phone down for 10minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
That sounds like a
boomer thing to say Eric, I'm
not going to lie, I'm sorry, gooutside and touch grass.
Back in my day we had a Nokia.
What?
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
was your phone.
We're looking up our old phonesbefore you join K10 Royale.
Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Listen, I'm just
going to be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
The phone with the
slide-out keyboard is still
top-notch.
I don't know what to tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
I think it's a great
design.
I'm kind of sad we went awayfrom the actual keyboard.
I don't know if people feel thesame way, but I like the
physical keyboard.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Nothing beats the
click clacking of the keyboard.
It's the best, it's absolutelythe best.
But yeah, lilo and Stitch wasprobably just like the most
disheartening news because youknow they obviously went the
other direction after Snow Whiteand then immediately is like oh
no, these people make money.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Yeah, these are good
again.
Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Pretty tough, do you
guys remember?
Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
ringback tones.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Oh my god, I just
tried to explain ringback tones
to my kid.
That was a thing.
Yeah, I had a few of thosePlease enjoy this ringback tone
while your party is reached.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Soldier boy video.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
Amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
But any of those
other ones?
You want to chime in on Erin,or are we good?
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
I'm good Cool.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
Well, there you go,
guys.
So for the podcast audioaudience only.
This is typically where wesuggest that you switch over to
the YouTube page, because thereis a visual element to the game
that we're playing.
So, Erin, if you're notfamiliar with Kahoot, I'll go
over it with you here in just amoment.
You just need your phones.
(01:04:46):
Here is the pin.
Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
I'm there.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
All right, do you
want to be the little kitty cat
with hearts, or are you going tochange it?
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
B-R-B-P-P.
I love that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
B-R-B-P-P.
Yeah, I had to use the threesbecause Kahoot didn't like it.
Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
I'm going to do the
wolf because I'm in the alpha.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Makes sense.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
It gives makes sense
here, gives off beta energy with
that binky.
Yeah, little baby binky, Idon't know yet you look like the
Teletubbies baby oh yeah, therewe go the sun thank you, thanks
for appreciating that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
You're welcome.
Alright, so once again, for theaudio only audience, you can,
of course, stick around, but itis recommended to head on over
to YouTube so you can see thequestions.
I'm still going to read themout.
It's not like I'll be likehere's the next question and
it's going to be silent for 30seconds.
I will read them out anddescribe it for you.
But yeah, Eric, are you readyto defend your crown?
(01:05:42):
You only have to beat oneperson this month.
How are you feeling?
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Feeling good, got my
person, my son baby.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
You want to tell
people your name, my.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
BRBPP, brbpp.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
You know, you need to
change your Twitch stuff now to
be right back to BRBPP.
That's adorable.
Oh fuck yeah, don't tempt me.
Aaron, have you ever doneKahoot?
Nope, ok, so it's basically.
It's basically just trivia.
There's a couple of differentquestions you'll see in here.
One of them is just a simplemultiple choice.
(01:06:18):
One of them you will type inyour answer on your phone.
One of them is true or false.
There is one that Eric Eric'sfavorite is the slider where you
will slide your phone to acertain number on your phone.
You'll see it when it'll makesense.
Spoiler alert when you see it,and then there's a pin it or
something where you will place apin on a photo of what you
(01:06:41):
think.
The answer is it's very, verysimple.
So you'll see it.
There's only 10 questions,since there's two of you.
Why are you both?
The sun with the pinky God, andalso for the questions?
You'll just need to look at thescreen, but you'll answer on
your phone, okay, other thanthat, everybody ready to go?
Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Spin that wheel.

It was FC 25, which is FIFA.
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
We're not even real
gamers.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Yeah, I figured FIFA
would throw people off because
people love the FIFA.
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
I thought that was
like the right one, or I thought
that did 1-1.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
It was a gold seller,
but not platinum.
Alright, let's go to thescoreboard 0-0.
Yes, yes, let's see how thisgoes.

was a pretty on-the-nose hint.
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
All right, zero, zero
.
Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
This is the worst.
This might be the lowestscoring.
Speaker 2 (01:09:08):

amount of world title reigns.

wrong.
Yeah, I took a risk on the Rockand Taker I wasn't sure.
Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
Yeah, the Undertaker
has the least amount on this
list, with only seven, which wasshocking.
Of course, randy Orton at thetop Edge, the Rock, and then the
Undertaker, I think the Rock isnine, edge is around 12 and
then Randy Orton, of course, isat 14.

you that have been to steak andshake, it has like the windows
so that the booths are likeright next to each other and we
get set sat right next to him.
