On Thursday, February 24th, Russia invaded a peaceful , independent  nation leaving untold civilians slaughtered in their wake.  March 15th, 1899, Germany, Britain, New Zealand and the US, invaded Samoa, a peaceful and independent nation who was woefully unprepared to defend its people and it's Parliamentary style of Government.  27,000 to 32,000 Samoan warriors died in 2 months.  Civilian casualties were untold.  I lost my great grandfather to Samoa's independence when he was summoned to New Zealand to attend a Parlay.  He gave his title to his son before he left, got on a plane, was walking on the tarmac with many other Samoans in peaceful protest for the independence of Western Samoa and was assassinated by a US made bullet to his head... the opponents not knowing that he was no longer "Titled" but only a spokesperson.
