While the FDA has closed its investigation into the origins of the Lucky Charms cereal complaints, they did so without being able to identify the source of contamination. It’s not clear what is causing the illnesses, however experts believe the FDA focused on chemical additives to the cereal. There are nearly 10,000 reports - and counting! - of people complaining of food poisoning symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea after eating Lucky Charms sugary cereal.
