The Food and Drug Administration is being asked to investigate this popular energy drink that contains as much caffeine as six cans of Coke. The caffeine content in Prime Energy drinks came under scrutiny after lawmakers and health experts raised concerns about the health dangers, particularly for children and teens. Investigations into the caffeine content and the marketing practices of Prime Energy drinks, which are heavily marketed to people under 18, are certainly warranted. Currently, Prime Energy drinks lack warnings to alert parents and consumers alike to the sky-high caffeine content in these beverages.
