Grand Final happening this afternoon. Next up at the Silver
Dome between the Northern Hawks and the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers
are unbeaten and one of their stars joins us now
on the line, Ellen MacArthur, Welcome to the water Boys.

Hey guys, how are you today?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Very good?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Thank you, We're really good. We're just chatting off air
about the nerves that are starting to kick in. It's
a big day Grand Final rematch against the Northern Hawks.
How are you feeling and or how the preparations going.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well, we've had a pretty consistent week. We've kind of
just done what we've done every other week training wise.
But we'll head out for a walk and a coffee
and yeah, I have a little chat before the game starts,
so which would be good. But nerves are definitely there.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
So it's been a pretty unbelievable season for you guys.
Seventeen and zero. You had a big win against Kingston
last week. What have you made of the season so far?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Look, we've kind of been not probably game by game,
I think nothing. Really, We've not been too nervous. I
guess I think we're just we're just a really good
team and we're just play game by game and to
get those good wins.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Was yeah, really good, well, certainly dominating. Did you watch
the match last week between the Hawks and Kingston you
obviously had the week off, and if so, what did
you learn about the Hawks that you might not have
picked up on over the times that you've played them
throughout the season.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
They've had a really good game. I just watched it
on the live stream, but look, I couldn't really pick,
to be honest, while watching what was going to happen.
But Hawks has had a last quarter and yeah dominated.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Now you played against the Northern Hawks well four or
five weeks ago and you got it done on that occasion.
Did you what did you take out of that win?
What have you learned about your opposition?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Well, I think from watching they can put out a
really good four quarter performance, and I think when they
played a really good level, they're they're on like they're
a really good and competitive team, so I think, and
also that Northern rivalry also adds a bit to it.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, absolutely, And you mentioned that the Northern rivalry. You're
at the Silver Dome this afternoon. Of course the nine
een's played first. The place will be no doubt filled
with family, friends and fans for both sides. I mean,
do you reckon you've played in obviously the Grand Final
last year, but it'll be an experience winded having so
many people there that are just pumped for the Northern Derby.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, exactly. I think it's going to be a really
loud which is honestly, it's amazing though for netbill up
the north to have a really big crowd. So yeah,
hopefully lots of cap supporters.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, I hope so something, have you got something expert?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I'm just gonna I was just going to ask you.
So very northern dominated. It is that just a sign
of the times or is it is statewide netball certainly
stronger up in the north of the state, or has
south sort of dropped off a little bit? You think
you can? You can you can throw a few punches
here if you.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I think in the opens that there's also like a
couple of years in a road has been Cave's Hawks,
but I think nineteen it's pretty well spread down south.
But look, having Kingston and I'm not sure who was
the other fourth pace, but yeah, look probably more north
in the opens, I would say with the record, but yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah absolutely. And now before we let you go, I
I asked you when we got on the phone this morning.
There was a photo in the Mercury down here South
yesterday which had your sister in it, and so we're
just wondering. We're surprised you do media because it sounds
like you didn't want to be involved in the photo.
Your sister's not playing in the Grand Final this afternoon,
and you just said, no, I'm not going in the

photo seat your sister along. What's to go there?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Nah? I send her on a job. I thought older
sisters and the younger.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Sister, oh, absolutely love it. But you confuse the life
out of us and it worked really well, So well
done for that. Hey ella, we know you've got a
big morning, so we're going to let you go and
get ready to go with the team, as you said,
going for a walk, have a coffee, do all that
sort of stuff, and get your prep. Get your prep sorded.
It's a big game there at the Silver Home this afternoon,
so we've got Hawks taking on Crips. In the nineteens

at two pm, then at four point thirty pm in
the opens. It is of course the unbeaten Calves your
side taking on the Northern Hawks. If you're in the area,
get in and have a look. It's going to be
