Speaker 0 (00:00):
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier
and I'm the weatherman.
Thanks for checking in totheweathermanpodcom On your
Monday.
It is the ninth day of themonth of June, almost a third of
the way through already.
It's going fast.
Well, our weather situationalong the eastern seaboard still
shows some very unsettlingweather.
It's areas of low pressure anda couple of frontal systems that
will be passing by from DC upto the Boston area.

(00:20):
First it's a warm front thatwill be passing through
Harrisburg, extending downthrough Baltimore and over Cape
May.
That warm front will be passingtowards the north and east but
that precedes a cold frontcurrently moving through eastern
Ohio, central Kentucky andTennessee and that will be
arriving sometime on Mondaynight into early Tuesday.
It will cause some scatteredshowers on Tuesday and the

(00:42):
possibility even of somethunderstorms and, associated
with that frontal system, somelocally severe weather across
the state of Mississippi andeven into central and northern
Alabama and portions of centraland western Tennessee.
That'll be during the afternoonhours on your Monday.
So some more severe weatherthere.
Also, severe weather conditionsseem to be happening across
west Texas and the northernpanhandle south of Amarillo, but

(01:04):
also across much of New Mexico.
They've been hammered by theseheavy thunderstorms and
tornadoes and severe weatherover the last several days
Doesn't look like much of achange, at least for today.
On this Monday For thenortheast, look for the
possibility of some scatteredshowers and temperatures
generally only in the 70s tonear 80 degrees.
Frontal system moves throughwith some heavier rains Monday

(01:24):
night into Tuesday, but byWednesday high pressure starts
to build in.
Looks like some fair weatherarriving in the east, extending
from Wednesday right up throughFriday of this upcoming week.
If you're flying on this Monday, expect some delays in and
around New York, newark andLaGuardia JFK area because of
the possibility of somescattered showers and

(01:44):
thunderstorms with that warmfront and, of course, because of
the normal delays that seem tobe happening around LaGuardia
and Newark as well.
Even in central and northernGeorgia there will be some
locally severe weather, so theAtlanta area may be impacted by
some of that severe weatherlater during the daytime today
and to the evening hours Alsoscattered afternoon and evening
thunderstorms over central andsouth Florida, and that will

(02:06):
continue into Tuesday as well.
Houston looking at showers,dallas-fort Worth nothing severe
but there might be somethunderstorms, especially later
in the day on Monday and onTuesday.
Chicago overcast and rainy, with another frontal system
working its way through there.
So a lot of weather going to behanging up around the eastern
seaboard causing a lot of delays.
So if you are flying today, expect those one to three hour

(02:27):
delays and even somecancellations, depending upon
the weather situation and whereyou're going.
Looks dry in LA and San Diegoand San Francisco, but it does
look like some clouds on theincrease in Portland and maybe
some showers later in the dayand at night in Seattle, tacoma.
I'm your manager, steveFeltatier, and I'm the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
It still looks a bit on thecloudy side and some rainy

(02:49):
conditions.
This first third of June hasbeen a little bit on the wet
side, started out a little bitwarm and dry but gotten into
some wet weather.
It looks like it'll continue atleast into Tuesday, but then
some nicer weather arrivingmidweek.
Hope you have a good one today.
