Hope you have a great day.
Today, on this Friday, it isthe 25th day of the month of
July 2025 and excessive heatwarnings are up all around the
eastern seaboard.
North of the Carolinas there'sa lot of cloud cover and even
some showers, keeping thetemperatures down just a bit
from Raleigh south througharound Charleston, south

(00:21):
Carolina, and then even intonorthern Florida, charleston,
south Carolina, and then eveninto northern Florida and much
of the Gulf Coast under thepossibility of some showers and
thunderstorms, with unsettledweather out of the Gulf possibly
could develop into sometropical situations over the
next several days.
But over the northeast it'sexcessive heat warnings in
effect.
For the area, temperatures willrange in the 90s to the lower
100s.
Heat index values, which are acombination of the temperature

(00:44):
and humidity, will be rising upto about 105.
So it's a tough day today.
Of course.
Stay out of the sun, don'texert yourself during the
afternoon and seek airconditioning and drink plenty of
water.
Stay away from alcohol, it justwon't make you worse.
Just water and some fruitjuices, that's good.
Loose-fitting clothing of lightcolor and material also best to

make it through this heat todayas we head towards tomorrow
there's going to be somescattered late-day and evening
thunderstorms.
Weather front working its wayeastward from the Great Lakes
will be arriving and that couldset us up with some showers and
thunderstorms late-day andevening but also keep us a
little bit of extra cloud cover.
So the temperatures will mostlikely be in the lower 90s on

(01:32):
Saturday but generally only inthe 80s from DC up to the Boston
area and that will be on Sunday.
But a better chance of showersand thunderstorms, especially
later day and evening Into earlynext week.
Looks like high pressure startsto build in from the northwest
so temperatures will be backjust a bit.
Not too bad for Monday andTuesday 80s to near 90, possibly
warming up again in the middleportion of this upcoming week,
with the next frontal system dueto arrive either Thursday or
Friday.
If you're flying today stilllooks like generally fair

(01:53):
conditions in the northeast butof course because of the
excessive heat that could causesome delays.
In Newark, laguardia and JFK Upin the Boston area no problems
weather-wise.
There Looks pretty good Dryconditions for the most part in
Richmond and up in DC.
However, as you go down toRaleigh and out towards
Charlotte there could beafternoon and evening

(02:15):
thunderstorms.
Afternoon and eveningthunderstorms possible also in
Atlanta, so some slight delaysthere.
That persistent problem ofshowers and thunderstorms
continues over central and southFlorida and also along the Gulf
Coast.
Some thunderstorms in a laterafternoon, but most of the time
dry and hot in Houston andDallas-Fort Worth, chicago
starting to improve just a bit.
Still the possibility of somethunderstorms as the front

(02:35):
gradually nudges eastward.
Dry in Minneapolis, out on thewest coast, dry also LA, san
