Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier
and I am the weatherman.
Thanks for checking intotheweathermanpodcom On your
Wednesday.
It's the 25th day of the monthof June 2025 and it's been hot
in the east last couple of days.
Now, on Sunday, we started outwith some thunderstorms moving
down from the north and it kepta high cloud cover in there.
Despite that, temperatures werestill managed to get in the
upper 80s, a little bit 90s, andthen on Monday, temperatures

(00:23):
will range between 95 and 100,between 100 and 105 in many
spots during the daytime.
On Tuesday Now, because of thechance of a shower of
thunderstorm and an approachingfrontal system, we do have
temperatures in the mid to upper90s, near 100, but heat index
values up to 103 for today, asthe extreme heat warning will
remain in effect in manycommunities from DC to Boston

(00:45):
right up until about 8 pm today.
Again, it looks like the showerand thunderstorm threat
probability at about 40 percentfor tonight.
Nighttime low temperatures getback to 70.
Not as hot tomorrow in New YorkCity, but still on the hot side
further south of Philadelphia,at Baltimore, wilmington and DC
and Richmond.
That's where you're going tofind temperatures for the most

(01:06):
part in the 90s to near 100degrees during the daytime on
Thursday, but also with a chanceof showers and thunderstorms
More numerous to the mostcentral and eastern portion of
Pennsylvania, southern New Yorkand even in southern sections of
New England.
So that'll be continuing onThursday.
Showers and temperatures cooler, near 80 for highs instead of
near 90 or 95 to 100 as it hasbeen for the last several days.

(01:29):
But we do look at more cloudstonight and the area high
pressure building south into theGreat Lakes is going to keep
our temperatures generally inthe 70s, with a chance of
showers during the daytime onFriday.
Taking a quick look towards theweekend, we can see that
Saturday is still going to bemostly cloudy 82, with a chance
of a shower and thunderstorm inmost places, and even Sunday

(01:50):
some showers and thunderstorms.
Otherwise partly sunny, low tomiddle 80s, which is for the
most part fairly normal for thistime of year in late June.
So this last upcoming weekendof the month of June looks like
where temperatures are going tobe near normal and the
possibility of some much neededshowers.
If you are traveling on yourWednesday.

(02:10):
Today it looks like we will havejust scattered showers in
Charlotte and Atlanta, heaviershowers and thunderstorms in
Miami Port, but then also aroundsections around Naples to West
Palm and in the Fort Lauderdalearea.
Also Tampa, state Pete.
Some scattered thunderstorms.
Heavier thunderstorms duringthe afternoon in Houston and
showers in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Rainy weather under clouds inthe Chicago area Could slow

(02:33):
things down a bit there.
Also in Cleveland as well.
Minneapolis-st Paul under rainyweather it looks like rain
there.
Temperatures will be cooler inMinneapolis during the daytime,
causing some slight aviationdelays into those places.
California is looking dry forthe most part.
San Diego all the way up to SanFrancisco Looks like clouds in
Portland, but showers likely inSeattle, tacoma during the

(02:57):
afternoon hours.
Today.
I'm meteorologist StevePelletieri and I am the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Try to keep cool.
One more hot day before thethings start to break down in
the east and very busy weatherpattern developing for Thursday
and Friday, with stationaryfronts allying from the central
portion of the nation right tothe eastern seaboard.
Have a great day.

(03:18):
