SPEAKER_00 (00:02):
Hi, this is
MediaManister, Steve Pellethiery
and I'm the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking intotheweathermanpod.com on your
Wednesday.
It's the third day of December,2025, and high pressure now
descending across the regionafter a wet day.
Yesterday was a white day acrossmuch of New York State and
central and northern NewEngland, where uh many inches of
snow, up to five to fifteeninches of snow fell across the
(00:23):
finger lakes up into central andnorthern New York State, central
and northern New England aswell.
That storm continues to move faroffshore now.
High pressures building in,plenty of sunshine today.
Highs are rise to near 40, northwinds at 5 miles per hour,
becoming light and verbal duringthe afternoon.
Fairly partly cloudy fortonight.
Overnight lows into the middleto upper 20s.
(00:43):
Then partial sunshine, anothergood day for tomorrow on
Thursday, with their hightemperatures in the mid-Atlantic
states up to about the 40 to 45degree range.
But is at night when a littlecold front moves through, so
temperatures will drop back intothe middle teens, some of the
coldest weather that we've hadso far this new season.
And then back to partly sunnyconditions on Friday.
Warming up on Saturday andSunday.
(01:04):
Before that occurs, a littlewarm front poking through on
Friday night could result insome snow showers.
Both Saturday and Sunday of thisweekend.
Highs upper 30s, low to middle40s expected.
And sharply colder weather willbe arriving in our vicinity
sometime around the middle ofnext week for the whole
mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
Now, if you're traveling by airtoday, great clear weather
(01:24):
expected for the Northeast.
Looks like Washington,Baltimore, Philadelphia, all the
way up to New York City andBoston, all under the influence
of high pressure, and that meansclear, dry weather, and not even
that windy.
So as far as weather delays areconcerned, from flying by air,
no problems expected for todayin those places.
Atlanta is going to be dry, asit will be Charlotte.
Central and South Florida alsounder the influence of fair
(01:46):
weather.
Looks like good conditions outin Houston and Dallas Fort
Worth, but up in a Chicago areawith that strong cold front
that's going to be moving intothe eastern seaboard.
I said to bring some snowshowers and squalls from central
and southern Wisconsin acrossinto northern Illinois and
Indiana, including the Chicagoarea.
So there could be some moderatedelays into the Chicago region
because of turbulence and snowshowers and squalls as the next
(02:08):
Arctic high pressure systemstarts to build down from
Canada.
And that will be preceded byareas of showers and snow
showers, squalls across much ofthe Great Lakes as that high
pressure moves in.
So Chicago with some delaysbecause of those snow showers.
Also looking at dry weather inmuch of the west coast, San
Diego, LA, and San Francisco, but a few light showers expected
up in Portland and Seattle, astypical for this time of year.
(02:31):
So some pretty good weatheralong the eastern seaboard.
Minimal problems flying todaybecause of the weather.
We do expect some snow showersand squalls in many places
across the central and easternGreat Lakes today.
I'm in your monster, StevePellethiery and I am the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Talk to you first thing onThursday.
See you then.
