Speaker 0 (00:00):
Hi, this is
meteorologist Steve Pelletier
and I am the weatherman.
Thanks for checking in totheweathermanpondcom on your
Sunday.
It's the 10th day of the monthof August 2025.
It looks like the fair weatherpattern continues across the
northeast, with high pressureanchored right off the eastern
seaboard, off the Jersey andDelmarva coast.
It'll be a fixture there forthe next several days as the
heat pump continues to warmthings up each and every day,
(00:23):
touching 90 today and in the 90sMonday through Wednesday of
this week.
We see a frontal system acrossthe western Great Lakes and
that'll be arriving in the eastgradually but then breaking up
as it gets closer to us.
Later.
Wednesday and Thursday Mightgive us some showers, but the
trend does look generally dryright in through much of this
upcoming week and into the nextweekend.
(00:43):
In the meantime, it looks liketemperatures today will range
near 90 degrees, with sunshine, fair at night, down to the mid
to upper 60s and sunny weather, hot and more humid weather for
Monday, tuesday and Wednesday.
Each day, 90 to 95.
And looking at the possibilityof some late day thunderstorms
moving our way sometime later oneither Wednesday or Thursday
(01:05):
away sometime later on eitherWednesday or Thursday.
Well, the Jersey Shore and theSouth Shore, long Island and the
Delmarva Coast looks like alittle bit of a sea breeze each
afternoon will keep temperaturesthere in check, generally
ranging to near 75 to 80, asocean temperatures are in the
lower 70s in most places justoffshore.
That's over the next severaldays.
But as another weather frontmoves through the region
sometime either Wednesday orThursday we are going to have
that possibility of some showersand some drier weather will
(01:28):
arrive as the winds come out ofthe northwest and we get into
some lower relative humidity butstill with generally warm
conditions right through Fridayand Saturday.
If you're traveling today, justa slight chance of some showers
in Atlanta, but looks likeCharlotte will have mostly fair
skies with a late daydaythunderstorm chance.
Better chance of rain acrossthe Florida Peninsula.
It's been down in southernGeorgia, coastal north and south
(01:50):
Carolina and all the way downto the Keys.
That could present thepossibility of some delays going
in and out of most Floridaairports during the afternoon
and early evening hours.
Today Looking at some showersand thunderstorms across
Louisiana and New Orleans andalso the possibility of some
light showers in Houston.
Hot and mugging sticky inDallas-Fort Worth and the
(02:10):
possibility of somethunderstorms in Chicago, but a
clearing trend of cooler, drierweather in Minneapolis and most
of Minnesota.
Dry conditions across the WestCoast, showing San Diego, la and
San Francisco all dry.
Same thing for Portland andSeattle.
Those smoky conditions docontinue in Central and Southern
California over the nextseveral days.
I've been your host, justinPelletier, and I'm the
(02:31):
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Talk to you first thing onMonday.
See you then.
