Speaker 0 (00:01):
Hi, this is
meteorologist Steve Pelletieri.
I am the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking in totheweathermanpodcom on your
Monday.
It's the 14th day of the monthof July, very quickly getting to
the halfway mark and still upalong the eastern seaboard looks
like after a beautiful day onSunday.
For the most part Areas ofshowers and even some
thunderstorms, associated with afunnel system, almost
(00:21):
stationary, extending from justover northern Kentucky through
West Virginia, centralPennsylvania, then off into New
England.
The areas of showers andthunderstorms will most likely
be from Washington DC, baltimore, philly, new York City and up
into the Boston area.
I don't know if during theafternoon, possibly with some
locally heavy storms during theevening hours.
Then, as we head towardsTuesday, wednesday and Thursday,
(00:43):
that high pressure starts totake over, the thunderstorm
threat starts to diminish just alittle bit.
It'll probably be with us justabout each afternoon.
It's just typical in July.
But temperatures for the mostpart not too bad, generally in
the 80s, near 90 degrees if wehave enough sunshine.
Right up through Wednesday andThursday and again as towards we
get the end of the week thereis going to be some scattered
(01:03):
showers and thunderstormsarriving in the east once again.
So temperatures for the mostpart today in the 80s to near 90
, but with showers andthunderstorms very numerous
during the afternoon.
There could be some locallysevere storms in the northeast
corner during the latter portionof today and tonight.
This looks like a little bitbetter weather moving our way on
Tuesday and Wednesday, butstill with that chance of a
shower and thundershower Afterflying.
(01:25):
Today it looks like Atlanta willbe generally dry, looking at
showers and thunderstorms, andin Charlotte clear conditions or
fair conditions, I should say.
In Chicago and Minneapolis, stPaul, a little bit early cloud
cover and maybe some rain.
Moving in the warm front's juston through there.
North Down in central and southFlorida will be scattered
showers and thunderstorms.
Dry weather in Houston andDallas.
Although Dallas may have alate-day thunderstorm,
(01:46):
temperature still quite a bit onthe hot side there.
Four corners showing showersand thunderstorms all across
Utah through Colorado southwardinto New Mexico and Arizona.
The monsoons are in fullstrength there.
It looks like dry weather inSan Diego and Los Angeles after
some morning clouds and fog andSan Francisco is looking dry.
Also dry in Portland andSeattle as well.
(02:06):
I'm your moderator, stevePelletier, and I am the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day.
Today Could be some showers andthunderstorms across the
Northeast, but it does look likesome better weather, more
typical July weather as we headtowards midweek.
Have a great day.
