SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pelletier,
and I am the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking into theWeathermanPond.com on your
Friday.
It is the 12th day of the monthof December, 2025.
Weather situation for today doesshow generally fair conditions,
but cold weather temperatureshave been averaging between four
and six degrees below normal inmany spots across the northeast.

(00:22):
It looks like today is noexception.
And for tonight, it will begenerally fair.
Overnight, night lowtemperatures down to about 20 to
25.
Also a good amount of sunshineto start the day on Saturday,
but then an increase in clouds.
And this from an area of lowpressure that'll be moving out

(00:43):
of the Midwest.
And it looks like to give theNew York City area, Baltimore,
Philadelphia, even down to D.C.,northward, all the way up to the
Boston area, somewhere betweenone and four inches of snowfall,
depending upon where you are.
That's going to be during theovernight Saturday into Sunday.
Then it looks like another areaof high pressure builds in from
the northwest.
Looks like fair, but continuedcold to the normal conditions

(01:04):
until the early portion of nextweek.
But we are getting indicationsaround the middle of next week
that temperatures will start tomoderate back to near normal, if
not even above normal, as we addcloser to the upcoming holiday
season.
In the meantime, for today, goodamount of sunshine, but high
temperatures between 30 and 35.
If you're traveling by airtoday, generally fair weather in

(01:24):
the New York-Philadelphia area, also up to Boston.
Looks like generally dryconditions in those places.
So no problems weather-wisegetting in and out of the
mid-Atlantic and northeasternstates from any weather patterns
during the daytime on yourFriday.
Also looking at fair skies inCharlotte and also in Atlanta.
Down to central and southFlorida, generally good weather,
except some late-day showersacross the southern portion of

(01:47):
the Florida Peninsula.
Dry weather in Houston, DallasFort Worth.
Looks like snow showers in theChicago area.
Also, snow in Minneapolis, St.
Paul, several inches expected inmuch of the state as the area or
that storm that's headingtowards the northeast starts to
form.
And most of the heavier snowfallin the northwest is associated
with a low pressure system nowover central and western

(02:10):
Montana, northern sections ofIdaho.
That means dry weather for agood balance of the West Coast.
Looks like San Diego, LA, andSan Francisco dry and sunny.
Looks like fair weather inPortland, and just a few light
showers and the rain andwater-soaked Pacific Northwest,
including Seattle, Tacoma.
In the meantime, looks likegenerally the weather across the
nation, except for the Chicagoarea and Minneapolis, is going

(02:32):
to be generally okay throughoutthe daytime today into this
upcoming weekend.
But again, looking for thatpossibility of a good one to
four rain snowfall across themid Atlantic and Northeast this
upcoming Sunday.
I'm in your mount hey Pelletier, and I am the weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Talk to your first thing onSaturday.
See you then.
