SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
This has been your
brother, Steve Pelletier, and I
am the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking intoweathermanpod.com on your
Saturday.
It is the 11th day of the monthof October, 2025.
And that coastal storm expectedto develop along the eastern
seaboard, starting to send somecloud cover and some moisture up
through the Mid-Atlantic and theNortheast.
Latest weather guidance, the uhEuropean model, does not really
(00:21):
bring in too strong.
Uh, it has really been having atough time handling the
situation.
Uh, our American model, the GFS,has been bringing that storm in
with the heaviest amounts ofrainfall, most likely later on
Sunday and Sunday night.
Uh, so because of that, floodwatches are in fact up along the
eastern seaboard, uh, commencinglater on Saturday and some
(00:41):
places further south to Sundayand Monday into the expected
development of the storm.
And we're going to be updatingyou at around noontime on
Saturday for this situation.
But either way, on Saturdayit'll be cloudy with the
possibility of some occasionalrain and showers, more to the
south, less to the north, justcloud cover north.
And temperatures for the daygenerally ranging near 70.
Rain is likely on Saturdaynight, nighttime lows back into
(01:02):
the middle to upper 50s.
More rainy weather expected forD.C., all the way up to
Baltimore and Philadelphia andNew York City, and even into the
Boston area eventually.
But uh basically up until NewYork City and Southern
Connecticut.
That'll be on Sunday and Sundaynight.
Sunday's high temperaturesranging up to about 65.
Monday, also the possibility ofsome rain 62.
(01:24):
As mentioned, we'll update youon this weather situation as we
head into the afternoon hours onSaturday.
So check back a little bit lateron today.
In the meantime, if you aretraveling today, of course, uh
tough conditions because of thebudget problems in Washington,
and uh that of course isaffecting our air traffic
control system situation.
Uh the meteorologists who arehandling uh the bad weather in
(01:48):
flight routes, they're stilldown here in DC working 24 hours
a day as well, trying to keepeverything as safe as possible.
But again, uh just pawns in thisum budgetary process that's
happening down here.
So unfortunately, they're doingthe work and uh they also are
very dedicated folks.
So thanks to them.
(02:08):
Uh looking at uh generallydecent weather, although
there'll be delays in the NewYork area because of the work
problems.
Also around the Boston area, similar situation, dry
conditions there.
Uh some showers are expected uhgenerally across the Carolinas,
actually from Del Marva south tothe Carolinas during the
afternoon and evening hours onSaturday.
So I was gonna slow things down.
Charlotte doesn't look too bad.
(02:29):
Atlanta not too bad there aswell.
Uh Central and South Florida, alittle frontal system stationary
right over southern Florida, gonna be a pathway for more
showers and thunderstorms there.
Dry in Dallas and Houston, dryin Chicago.
Looks like some rain forMinneapolis, uh dry conditions
for LA and San Francisco, butthat rain continues in the
Pacific Northwest, causing somedelays into that area.
Once again, check back with us alittle bit later on today.
(02:52):
We are going to update thepositioning or expected
positioning and how the modelsare doing uh for forecasting
that Sunday night or Saturdaynight through Monday weather
event.
Until then, I'm Steve Pelletier.
Have a great day.
Talk to you later.
