Speaker 0 (00:00):
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletierian
out of the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking intotheweathermanpodcom On your
Wednesdays, the 23rd day of themonth of July 2025.
The month is quickly coming toa close.
We're going to have some moreheat and humidity working its
way into the Northeast.
The area of high pressurethat's given us such beautiful
weather over the last couple ofdays will give us another good
one today, with our highsgenerally into the mid-80s

(00:21):
across the Northeast CorridorFrom DC up to the Boston area.
Look for fair skies andsunshine and very good weather,
as temperatures go between about80 degrees in Boston, 85 in New
York City, 87 or 88 degrees inPhilly, baltimore and Washington
.
But then we look fortemperatures to reach into the
lower 90s, or at least 90 to 95on Thursday, with hazy, hot and
humid weather.

(00:41):
As the high pressure moves justoffshore, a southerly wind will
continue to heat pump into thearea, with temperatures in the
90s to near 100 degrees expectedfor Friday.
Now this weekend frontal systemcurrently across the
northwestern Great Lakessections of central Minnesota
down into the South Dakota, nebraska and northern Colorado
area.
That frontal system will slowly, gradually trudge to the east

(01:04):
and is going to bring us thepossibility of some scattered
showers and thunderstorms bothSaturday and Sunday, but it's
going to take that long to gethere because of the strength of
this Bermuda high pressure alongthe eastern seaboard.
Also watching an area ofmoisture just over North Florida
, northern Florida, panhandlecould have the possibility of
some tropical development eitherin the Gulf or just off the
southeast corner of the UnitedStates.
But showers and thunderstormsare likely to continue there

(01:29):
over the next several days andthat may impact the weather
across the northeast if thingschange.
But we'll keep you in touch asfar as what's going on there as
we continue through theremainder of this week.
If you're flying, today lookslike great weather in the New
York area.
No problems in Cleveland, pittsburgh, albany, all the way
up to the Boston area, noproblems weather-wise in
Washington or Richmond.
Charlotte's not looking too bad, although there'll be some
late-day showers, possibility ofsome thunderstorms in the

(01:52):
Atlanta area, but no majordelays.
Your major delays will probablybe across Tallahassee or
Pensacola or Jacksonville.
Houston and Dallas.
Fort Worth are looking prettygood, as does Chicago, but it
does look like lots of rain andsome delays getting into
Minneapolis-St Paul.
Today.
Dry weather in San Diego, laand San Francisco, although San
Francisco will be clouding over, with the possibility of some
showers moving in from thePacific, portland and Seattle.

(02:15):
Lots of cloud cover and someafternoon sun, but generally no
problems weather-wise flyinginto those places today.
I'm your host, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman.
