Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, this is Beauty Rolster, steve Pelletier and I
am the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking intotheweathermanpodcom On your
Thursday.
It's the 14th day of the monthof August 2025, quickly
approaching the midway point ofthis month, a month that has
been above normaltemperature-wise so far.
Across the Northeast Cardinal,we had some heavy thunderstorms
move through central and easternPennsylvania, new York, new

(00:21):
Jersey and down into Marylandand DC.
That's associated with afrontal system that's going to
become stationary probably rightacross the area around the
middle portion of today, butthen eventually start to
dissipate as it goes furthersouth.
It's the same frontal systemthat caused the tremendous
amount of flooding occurringover eastern Tennessee, around
Chattanooga, during the daytimetoday.
Also showers and thunderstormsall across Louisiana, sections

(00:45):
of Mississippi, alabama, even inGeorgia and the Carolinas.
That's also a good possibilityfor more of those thunderstorms
today.
This is because there'sbasically no change from the
pattern from yesterday, exceptthe frontal system is now
stationary across New Jersey andeastern PA, down into around
the central portion of Marylandand into the Shenandoah of
Virginia.
High pressure currentlybuilding across the Great Lakes

(01:07):
will move east and should giveus some decent weather for the
next several days, but for today, look for clouds and the
possibility of more showers andthunderstorms.
That's a possibility withtemperatures in the upper 80s.
The high pressure starts tobuild in during the daytime on
Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
Friday is high temperatures,80s to near 90.
Saturday also near 90, but intothe 90s 90 to 95.

(01:28):
For the next frontal system nowworking its way out of central
and west Canada, we'll bearriving in the east and
probably bringing us a moreagreeable weather towards the
middle of next week.
In the meantime, if you'reflying today, it looks like some
severe weather is a possibilityacross central and southern New
England Also.
Showers and thunderstorms are apossibility, but on the lighter
side that is probably not asbad as they were on Wednesday

(01:49):
into New York area, philadelphiaand Baltimore.
More showers and thunderstormsare likely across the Carolinas,
as mentioned, in northern andcentral portions of Georgia
extending down into Florida, also looking across into the
Great Lakes.
Some dry weather moving intoChicago and also into Wisconsin,
but there will be some rainyconditions in the Minneapolis-St

(02:10):
Paul area, but just lightdelays flying into there.
Houston will have some showersand thunderstorms, so some
delays expected there.
Hazy, hot and humid.
At Dallas-Fort Worth Looks likegenerally dry conditions over
the west coast but rainy weathermoving into Portland and
Seattle, but no major weatherdelays aviation wise.
In the Pacific Northwest.
The early morning reports ontropical storm Erin, as of about

(02:32):
5 am on Thursday, the 14thmaximum sustained winds showing
up at around 50 55 miles perhour, minimum central pressure
at about a thousand millibarsand movement towards the west at
14 knots, and will continuethis movement over the next
several days, probably becominga hurricane then a major
hurricane over the next 24 to 48hours.

(02:54):
But because of the frontalsystem that's over the northeast
and that frontal system andhigh pressure starting to build
in from the Great Lakes, it'llprobably take a path that'll be
up along the eastern seaboard, then eventually just skirting
the eastern seaboard over thisupcoming weekend into the middle
of next week, causing roughsurf and heavy seas and some
tidal flooding as a possibility, from Delmarva all the way up

(03:16):
through New Jersey, long Islandand New England over the next,
let's say, four to seven days,as the storm continues to be
moving towards almost the northand then northeast, staying
safely off into the Atlantic, however, just brushing by the
eastern seaboard.
I'm your monitor, stevePelletier, and I am the
weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Next update coming up on Friday.
Hope you have a good Thursday.

(03:36):
Talk to you first thingtomorrow.
Take care.
