Hi, this is the
meteorologist, steve Pelletier,
and I am the weatherman.
Thanks for checking intotheweathermanpondcom on your
Thursday.
It is the 12th day of the monthof June 2025 and some nice
weather continues across themid-Atlantic and northeast.
However, there's a frontalsystem approaching from the
northwest that's going to bringin the possibility of some
scattered showers andthunderstorms for the latter
afternoon and evening hours fromabout central Pennsylvania
(00:23):
eastward through much of NewJersey and into New York, long
Island and southeasternConnecticut.
That areas of showers andthunderstorms will linger for a
while this evening aftergenerally dry, warm weather as
temperatures get up into theupper 80s and lower 90s for your
Thursday.
But as we head towards thisupcoming weekend, friday still
looking pretty good.
But it's a southeast flowbecause of that frontal system
(00:45):
around the area and with thatsoutheast wind we do have the
possibility of some showers andthunderstorms moving in later in
the day and at night.
All that moisture now acrossthe Dakotas and into Minnesota
and Wisconsin.
It'll travel along the frontalsystem that will be stationary
just to our south during thedaytime, our latter portion of
Friday, saturday, sunday andeven into early next week.
So it does look like someunsettled weather coming in for
(01:07):
the next several days Aftertoday.
Today we're looking at partlyto mostly sunny skies and
temperatures in the upper 80sand lower 90s.
If you're traveling today, itlooks like showers and
thunderstorms across Atlanta,Also maybe some showers in the
afternoon and evening hours inCharlotte.
Dry conditions in DC andBaltimore, but could be some
late-day or eveningthunderstorms.
In New York, laguardia, jfk, also generally dry weather, but
(01:30):
north-northeast winds areexpected around Boston and up
into Portland.
Maine Westward looks like somescattered showers and
thunderstorms.
In Chicago Rainy weather inMinneapolis, st Paul, as
mentioned, and over thesoutheast states looks like some
late-day and eveningthunderstorms, but a good
portion of the time central andsouth Florida generally dry
weather, but they're into theirrainy season now and some
late-day and eveningthunderstorms are likely.
(01:52):
Also looking at some rain inHouston and down to Fort Worth,
not necessarily severe at thispoint.
Dry conditions in LA, also inSan Diego, up to San Francisco.
Dry weather in Portland andalso to the Seattle Tacoma area
during the daytime today and itlooks like generally dry weather
