SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Hi, this is Video Roger Steve Pelletier and I am
the Weatherman.
Thanks for checking into theWeathermanpod.com on your
Tuesday.
It's the 23rd day of the monthof December.
And uh just a couple days to thebig day.
And uh looks like the holidayweekend is turning more wintry.
As a matter of fact, uh youknow, winter officially started

(00:20):
this past Sunday.
Now 10.30 in the morning.
It's called a winter solstice.
A lot of people like to see ifthey can balance eggs on their
heads or whatever.
Doesn't mean anything.
What we do have is we have thelowest point of the sun at high
noon over the northernhemisphere.
It rises in the southeast, setsin the southwest, makes that
shortest path across the sky,and of course, it results in

(00:42):
less sunshine, less daylight,less warmth.
And we're gonna start feeling itnow.
We do have some snow that wasworking its way out of southern
Canada and eastern Great Lakes.
It's associated with a warmfront.
And it was moving across fromjust around Buffalo, Toronto,
down into western New YorkState, the Finger Lakes,
northwestern Pennsylvania, thenright across into central and

(01:04):
northern New Jersey, southeastNew York, southern New England,
and even the city.
And that's for the morning hourstoday.
Eventually, aloft it starts towarm up.
Surface temperatures start towarm.
So we'll just have that littleperiod of snow on this Tuesday
morning north.
Down in Philadelphia, furthersouth, probably just uh partly
to mostly cloudy conditions, butthe north temperatures today

(01:24):
ranging between about 35 and 40degrees.
Amount of snowfall you usuallyget in this type of situation,
between a coating to an inch orthree, and of course the highest
amounts in the highestelevations over in northeastern
Pennsylvania, southeastern NewYork, northwestern New Jersey,
and western sections ofConnecticut, with just coatings
to an inch generally everywhereelse.
We probably get a few light rainshowers during the afternoon

(01:46):
hours today, too.
And then it looks like generallydry weather coming our way on
Wednesday.
Temperatures Wednesday willrange between 40 and 45 with
plenty of sunshine, then cloudson night.
And does look like dry but coldweather for Christmas Eve and
then Christmas Day.
Uh looks like the possibility ofsome rain and snow showers, but
just mostly cloudy temperatureswill range between 40 and 45,

(02:08):
not too cold on the holidayThursday.
Thursday night, although mostlycloudy 28.
Interesting situation.
Low pressure working its way outof the Dakotas.
Working across the Great Lakesand quickly arriving in the east
and intensifying could give ussome snow later Friday and
Friday night.
And even the possibility of somerain or freezing rain Friday
night into Saturday morningbefore it ends.

(02:28):
But it does look like a verycomplex situation.
It's something that we'll bewatching for you right through
the holiday over the nextseveral days.
But as mentioned, this lightsnow today should be ending, and
we're getting into a clearingtrend by later today, tonight
and tomorrow and Christmas Day,the possibility of a little rain
and snow, but milder, 40 to 45.
And then as we head towards theend of the week, that

(02:49):
possibility of another storm.
If you're traveling by airtoday, a little bit of weather
in the form of some snow andrain for the New York area, so
that could cause some one to twohour delays there.
Also looking at the possibilityof some snow up and down in the
Boston area, rainy weather inPhiladelphia, Baltimore, and DC,
and clear skies out in Chicago, also clear in Minnesota.

(03:09):
As we head further south, uhgenerally dry conditions,
although there could be somelate day showers in Charlotte.
Uh generally clouds and somelater day and evening rains in
Atlanta, but daytime, noproblems weather-wise, no real
low weather there.
Some scattered late-daythunderstorms down in South
Florida from the Keys to Miamiand Fort Lauderdale.
Uh Houston and Dallas arelooking dry.

(03:30):
Look at this rain now movinginto LA, the LA basin and in San
Diego.
Also rain in San Francisco.
Showers ending, however, inPortland and Seattle.
But it does look like some uhrain moving in from a storm just
off the Central and SouthCalifornia coast.
And we may deal that in the eastsometime towards the end of this

(03:50):
week.
I'm in your Steve Pelletieron.
I'm the weatherman.
Hope you have a great day today.
Talk to your first thing onWednesday.
See you then.
