thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (01:07):
What's going on?
Keith Pickens

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (01:09):
hey TC, what's going on?
Hey Mike.
What's going on, bro?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (01:12):
Hey Keith.
Hey Tom.
How you guys doing?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (01:15):
Doing good, man.
It's hot here in the Motor Cityarea,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (01:19):
It definitely is.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (01:20):
I'm not complaining.
So there are nine now there'stwo.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (01:26):
There's two.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (01:28):
It is down to two candidates for
November election in the Detroitcity mayoral race.
How?
Know how Mary Sheffield gotwhere she's at.
She was number one with 51%,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (01:40):
51.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (01:41):
if you add up all those other
numbers, those guys wouldn'tbeat her if they were, running
the race at that time

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (01:47):
they couldn't beat

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (01:47):
could collectively it could not be
her, But now it's down to two.
The question is, how did a nonpolitician.
Beat all the other politicians

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (02:00):
It's a breath of fresh air, so to
speak, because it's not thatit's unherald in history, but
you have a pastor who has a hugefollowing.
We all know Kinloch

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (02:10):
Right?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (02:11):
it has several campuses throughout
the area and, he's preaching theword every Sunday, and in
between.
The word is the word, and peopleare following him based on
spirituality.
If I can't trust you in achurch,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (02:28):
right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (02:29):
I'm not going to be able to trust
you, as a candidate or as amayor of my city.
So I guess I'll flip that.
If I can trust you in the churchto lead me spiritually, then
politically, then I'm inclinedto feel, the same way that
you're trustworthy and that, that you're worthy of my voting.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (02:46):
That explains why Chief Craig didn't
get it.
There's no trust.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (02:51):
There's no trust.
No.
You gonna be a flip flopper.
You ran for governor as aRepublican.
You made it clear about that I,and you got into this election.
a city that's chocolate city,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (03:05):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:05):
and probably I don't have a number
out there, but I would thinkthat for the most part it's a
democratic city and now you'redoubling back saying, let me
lead you.
And yeah, you're right.
Trust is in terms of Craig Trustis definitely an issue, but not
so much for Ken Lock.
Kinloch is somebody who, leadsthe flock spiritually.

(03:26):
And so with that, those 40,000or so members that he's alleged
to have, trust him to do thesame politically.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (03:34):
Yeah, but the

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:35):
17% of the vote.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (03:37):
But the flock probably, I'm gonna
say 75%.
None Detroiters.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (03:45):
That's huge.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (03:46):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (03:46):
right.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (03:46):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-1 (03:47):
Really?
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:47):
Yeah, his

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (03:48):
from the suburbs.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:49):
Yep.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (03:50):
I can't say, even if it's 50%,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (03:53):
There you go.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (03:53):
a lot of the 40,000

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:55):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (03:56):
don't live in the city.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (03:57):
Then he's not gonna be mayor of the
city.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (03:59):
In the scheme of things let's look
at it realistically.
So he has 40,000 members.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (04:04):
right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (04:05):
The city is approximately what, just
over a half a million.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (04:10):
Let me give you that number.
Okay, so there's 645,000Detroiters.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (04:15):
Okay.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2 (04:16):
518,000 are registered voters.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170 (04:19):
Exactly.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (04:20):
85,000 voted in the primary.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (04:23):
With it about

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (04:23):
Which is Right, which is a 16
something that ran over, youround it off to 17%.
That was his 17%.
So he got 17% of the 16%.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (04:33):
Oh, the overall vote,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (04:34):
Yeah.
But still, let me share thiswith you.
I was with my dad on Wednesdayand we weren't in the car more
than.
Five minutes before he said Ididn't vote for your boy.
And he went on to tell me why hedidn't vote for him.

keith_1_08-11-2025 (04:50):
Interesting.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (04:51):
Yep.
And I think this is thesituation that is going on, is
the generational thing.
The seniors got out and voted,And young folks did not get out
and vote.
That's the first thing.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (05:02):
Right.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (05:02):
The second thing is.
I'm thinking I'm using my dad asa primary because I'm been
thinking all seniors arethinking this way that he can't
do the two jobs.
He can't be pastor of the churchfull-time and mayor full-time,
so they want him to make thechoice.
Now he's repeatedly said thathe's not gonna be full-time
pastor and he's not a full-timepastor today,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (05:25):
That is the perception.
He said he would turn it over tohis administrators to

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (05:29):
yep.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (05:30):
how he does it in the first place
beyond politics.
It is beyond me, but,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (05:34):
Oh, running through all the
campuses,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (05:36):
oh my God, he has the energy of Tom
Corley.
But that being said, that is abig issue.
And then some people will go sofar as to say.
keep church and state separate.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (05:46):
right?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (05:46):
who, firmly believe that his lack of
experience in the politicalarena his ties to the money
because we do know that nowadaysit takes money to get things
done.
Sheffield does have a reputationof being supported by
billionaires and big business,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (06:03):
All right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (06:04):
Old school seniors are probably
saying, keep it separate.
What you're doing very well andyou're

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (06:09):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (06:09):
So either you're gonna do politics
well and lead the pastoringbehind

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (06:15):
All right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (06:15):
or vice versa.
And so you're right.
And his message is, I thinkinitially he may have said that
he could do both.
He may have intimated that hecould do both come back and said
that his administrators will behandling it if he becomes

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (06:27):
right,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (06:28):
will be.
In fact, a full-time mayor

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (06:30):
Again, saying that all the seniors are
voted, there are some people whodid vote who said, okay, Kinloch
my vote now what's thedemographics of that number?
I have no idea.
But I'm just gonna go on a limbfor the low turnout, Of what it
was.
Which goes back to our wholeconversation in previous
episodes about civics lessons.

(06:51):
You have the power.
To do something.
In fact, you've got a situationwhere a mayor who's been around
for 12 years is stepping out Iheard a a phrase.
Gilcrest Lieutenant Governor ofMichigan gave a little speech
and he did a little analogyabout basketball.
And the power of, having thegame in your control and

(07:13):
opportunity to dunk on somebodyand not dunk on somebody.
That doesn't make any sense.
Nobody does that.
you're going to go out and havean opportunity to dunk on
somebody, you're going to dothat.
And you kinda said that when youhave the power of voting, why
not vote?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (07:30):
Yeah I think that, unfortunately
that's just the way it has beentraditionally.
But when you have a mayor who'sbeen in office for 12 years
there's a sense of contentmentthat things are going in the
right direction.
That's arguable because they'resaying the downtown, the outer
areas developing and

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (07:48):
All right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (07:49):
but the inner cities are still
lagging and still hurting.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (07:52):
All the candidates are saying the
same thing.
They're all saying they're gonnatake care of the neighborhoods.
But the thing is that Kinlochrose to the top from going from
the bottom.
He rose to the top.
Pass all those guys who weresaying the same thing.
Who have the experience

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:07):
But he has an example through his
ministry of catering toassisting and supporting.
The least of these, those whoare,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (08:14):
yes.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:15):
Have little or nothing.
And so he can put his moneywhere his mouth is.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (08:18):
Right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:19):
more than rhetoric.
It's more than, a speech he canactually provide evidence that
I'm getting out door to door,We're doing God's work, right?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (08:27):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:28):
His message is genuine where the
other messages may or may notbe.
We know how politicians do.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (08:34):
Right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:35):
Not even gonna go there.
I'm, I paused.
I thought about sayingsomething, but I let it go.
'cause I know we got Mikestarted and Mike is awfully
quiet.
So I'm gonna leave it at thelocal level

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (08:44):
Oh yeah,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (08:44):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (08:45):
Keep it local.
This is a local episode.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (08:47):
But it is it's been suggested that
politicians do lie.
How about that?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (08:52):
What?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (08:53):
What you

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (08:53):
are you thinking, Mike?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (08:54):
I'm gonna wait till we get to make
me wanna holler.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (08:57):
That's the low turnout.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (08:59):
Okay.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (08:59):
the fact that we okay

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (09:00):
okay.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (09:01):
The thing is, so now you got two
candidates that are gonna berunning in November You're
thinking Mary's gonna run awaywith it.
So what do you think Kinloch hasto do?
To hold her back or chip

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (09:13):
Oh,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (09:14):
51%.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (09:15):
And I didn't know that most of his
congregation was suburban,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (09:19):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (09:20):
it is not a whole lot that he can
do.
And then the other thing onMary's side, and I didn't ask,
and I'm asking now, is sheaffiliated with a sorority AKA
or Delta?
Anybody know?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (09:35):
I can't say yay orated that.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (09:37):
I there that either.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (09:38):
If she is, it's over.
Don't make no difference.
It is over.
Kinloch you not going, you'renot gonna beat that.
You're not gonna beat that dude.
Not with a suburban flock.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (09:47):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (09:49):
From my perspective, it was a low
turnout.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (09:52):
I'm gonna poke a hole in your
balloon.
has sorority connection.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (09:57):
Yeah.
But there was big hatred goingon there.
There was something else goingon there.
We gonna keep it local.
Remember, don't get me started.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (10:06):
Are you poking a hole in the balloon

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (10:07):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (10:08):
don't poke the bear.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (10:10):
Don't get me started, but keeping it
local.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (10:12):
that point though in terms of whether
or not she's a member of asorority and it's a good chance
that she is Mike, which one, Ican't say,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (10:19):
Right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (10:20):
chance that she is, I think that
everything else she has going.
For her in terms of having beenthe youngest council person in
Detroit, being such a youngwoman at 36 years old, her dad,
Horace good, bad or indifferenthe has a background in the
ministry and a huge following.
Her pedigree is such that.

(10:41):
This isn't new to her.
When you talk about the commonname, that's another thing we
know about politics, a lot oftimes you go into the voting
booth, you might not know theperson, but if it says John
Smith, you are like, That namebefore.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (10:53):
Sure.
Sure.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17 (10:54):
Sheffield is a name that's known.
Sheffield has a history inpolitics.
Unfortunately she's going to getinto neo fight.
Somebody who, although he has avery powerful ministry he
doesn't have a politicalbackground.
I think it's good that he gotinto the race.
He showed up and was competitivefor whatever it's worth, 51% to
17% of a low turnout.
I think to Mike's point, it'sgonna be very difficult for him

(11:17):
to overcome a lot of theobstacles when you look at
Duggan, she's connected toDuggan in a way that he's not,
she's

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (11:24):
Yes.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (11:24):
of the same contacts.
Of being connected that Dugganhas and people are fearful.
'cause there's a lot of thingshappening

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (11:31):
Okay.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17 (11:32):
Obviously they're fearful that people are
gonna dial back because Duggan'sno longer in place.
And so having her in place givesthem a thought that, we still
got a chance to continue to goforward.
Where with Kinloch, it's likestarting all over again, per se.
And then he's not even talkingabout.
The outskirts of the businessesand so forth so much as he's

(11:52):
talking about the communities, which is where his base is,
which is where he is done mostof his work

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (11:56):
All right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (11:57):
where he is had success.
And he's

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (11:58):
But he,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (11:59):
got a tough road to hoe but it's not
impossible.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (12:01):
Right,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:02):
even said that he believes in
miracles, a He should.
And

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (12:05):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:05):
be a miracle,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (12:06):
he is often said, partnering with
businesses philanthropy to For,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:11):
anti, he's not

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (12:12):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:13):
when you look at his base and where
his strengths lie, He's gottamake the connections in terms of

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (12:18):
Yes.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:18):
Being in politics.
That's something that goes handin hand.
Good, bad, or indifferent.
We know the businesses arerunning for all intents and
purposes.
If you got the businesses layingout the cash and saying, I need
this and I want that, one handfeeds the other.
And right now Kinloch doesn'thave enough power to really feed
the businesses the way theywould anticipate or want him to.

(12:39):
But that's just me.
That's my opinion.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (12:41):
I'm gonna do one of the, poke the
bear.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:44):
Poke to bear.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (12:45):
Poke the bear.
All right.
She's very young.
She has some connections,well-known name.
Have we heard this story before?
Well-known name.
He was young.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (12:58):
Yep.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (12:58):
I'm not saying, I'm just saying,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:00):
I just read the article that made
that same analogy.
See

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (13:03):
I'm not saying, I'm just singing.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:06):
Mike, you always on top of it.
'cause basically what thatarticle said is the strength
that she has could also be herweakness, particularly if you
line it up against that otherwell-known

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (13:16):
Yep.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:17):
Did a little bit of time and now is
out, was pardoned

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (13:19):
Yep.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:20):
Okay.
hint hint.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (13:22):
I thought you taught my Dave Bing.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:24):
No.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (13:25):
Oh, man.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (13:26):
When you say Wellknown name,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (13:28):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (13:29):
name, so I'll be

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (13:30):
Hey.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:30):
Dave could dunk though.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (13:32):
That's right.
He sure could.
But just like he said, but I,you gotta give every person
their own chance.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:39):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (13:39):
And I have always said, and always
will say.
Absolute power corrupts andpower corrupts.
Absolutely.
And I'm gonna leave it at that.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (13:50):
20,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (13:51):
I

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (13:52):
that.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (13:52):
But I'm not saying all corruption is
bad.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (13:55):
where he pulled that from, I

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (13:57):
I,

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (13:57):
credit

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (13:57):
It was definitely not me.
I'm not saying all corruption isbad.
I'm not saying that.
All I'm saying is

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (14:04):
you're not saying all power is bad

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (14:06):
All right, I'm not, corruption is
bad.
There you go.
Corruption is bad, but what I'msaying is when you do corruption
correctly,

thomas-corley_1_08-1 (14:14):
Correctly,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (14:16):
Yeah.
I'm just gonna say it.
Look, we in a real, we in a realbarbershop conversation, right?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (14:21):
Okay.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (14:22):
say it.
I'm gonna say it.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (14:23):
Go ahead.

squadcaster-70j9_1_0 (14:24):
Corruption can be done correctly.
When I say that, everybody getstheir piece.
Everybody gets what they'resupposed to get.
And we've seen that happen.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (14:32):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (14:33):
We've seen that happen, especially
here in the metro area,Southeast Michigan specifically
where there was corruption, butnobody complained because
everybody got what theyexpected.
Streetlights were on.
Garbage was picked up, yourstreets were clean.
Every person from the top to thebottom got their envelope.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (14:57):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (14:58):
Is that

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (14:58):
And that's all they,

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (14:59):
things,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (15:00):
that's all they wanted was their
envelope.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (15:03):
Mike, is that when the Teamsters were
running things

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (15:06):
Yeah.
And I'm talking about all theway down to the man on the
street To the worker, everybody, whatever it is they were
supposed to get out of thatdeal, they got.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (15:14):
Right.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (15:15):
We were all happy because our
streets were clean.
Our garbage was picked up, ourlights were on, the roads were
fixed.
I'm gonna say that again.
The roads were fixed.
It is what it is.
People are people.
And it's one thing I've learnedon this earth as much as I wanna
see the good in people, andy'all know I do.

(15:38):
But I've been corrupted.
I have been jaded like youwouldn't believe.
I have learned one thing.
When everybody gets what they'resupposed to get, everything
still works.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (15:49):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (15:50):
So if you can't stop corruption and
you can't look at everything.
Look at the country in the hole.
You can't stop it.
If everybody gets what they'resupposed to get, okay.
Everybody's happy, and you'rejust going about your business.
That's all I'm gonna say aboutthat.
I'm gonna leave it alone.
That's it.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (16:10):
All.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (16:11):
That's it.
Growing up in this area wherethe auto industry was very
strong, money flow, money felloutta trees.
Corruption was everywhere.
It is what it is.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (16:23):
So

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (16:23):
But it was control.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (16:24):
right?
So between the two candidatesthat we're looking at, you've
got a minister who, as I statedfrom the onset, people trust him
because the word is the truthand the truth is the word.
And so if you're a flock in yourfollowing, then you trust that
person.
I don't think in most cases youwant to even think about your
spiritual leader as somebodywho's corrupt.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (16:46):
No.
They're not corrupt going in.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (16:49):
and you can say, going in.
I understand.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (16:51):
You're not corrupt going in.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170 (16:52):
Envelope after it's all said and done.
Huh?
And you got another one who, like you said she has a
background.
Her dad had some issues eventhough he was a clergyman.
and so there's a bit of a stainbased on that.
If she has ties, business tiesor

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-1 (17:11):
Correct

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (17:12):
I don't

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (17:12):
No, they're not corrupted.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (17:14):
I do know that when you get at that
level, the potential to becorrupt because people are gonna
want favors and they're gonna

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (17:22):
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (17:24):
But the decision has to be made
between those two, and I thinkthat because of her political
past and the fact that she'sbeen out there for a while in
terms of a public figure, specifically locally in Detroit
that bodes well for her.
That does not mean that there'sanything bad about,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (17:42):
No.
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (17:44):
Talking about voting and putting
somebody in office.
that person who's the mostpopular typically is the person
who has the edge, But, thiscase, I think that she just by
the nature of her being apolitician and one that has a.
I think fairly good reputationoverall,

squadcaster-70j9_1_ (18:04):
Absolutely.
Good reputation, right?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (18:06):
since she's running

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (18:07):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (18:08):
I think her chances are great.
51% of a low turnout, Tom said,if you add up all the votes of
the other eight candidates andshe still wins

squadcaster-70j9_1_ (18:17):
absolutely.
All right.
I'm just gonna say Mary's gonnawin.
Mary, they gonna come after you.
The feds are gonna come afteryou.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (18:26):
What

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (18:26):
We were just talking about absolute
power and how it corrupts.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (18:29):
all

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (18:29):
You gotta be really careful.
And I'm sure she has the skills, she's been around, but I can
guarantee you they gonna comeafter her.
They will look for stuff.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (18:37):
Oh, they

squadcaster-70j9_1_ (18:37):
understand?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (18:38):
Mike.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-1 (18:39):
Detroit is the largest commercial truck
crossing for internationalcommerce in the United States,
and we are about to open up asecond bridge.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (18:48):
yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (18:49):
Who do you think the fascist in
chief wants running this?
He just federalized DC Poli.
He just, yeah, he just tookover.
DC

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (18:57):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (18:57):
Don't think it won't happen for any
reason.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:00):
yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (19:00):
said it's because of crime, yet crime
is down 52% over the last twoyears In DC so it's not because
of crime.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:07):
No, we know that

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (19:09):
Thank you.
So whatever lie he comes up withabout taking over Detroit,
that's what it's gonna be.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:16):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (19:16):
And that's why I'm saying Mary, just
be real careful'cause they'regonna look at any reason to come
after you.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:23):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-1 (19:24):
They're not gonna let the largest
international crossing forcommercial truck traffic.
In the United States be run byblack people.
That's not going to happen.
Not under this racist pig.
He just moved.
President Obama's portrait

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:39):
to the

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (19:40):
up to the back.
You can't even see it when youwalk through.
It reminds me of the Egyptianscutting off the noses of the
things, huh?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:48):
What the

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (19:49):
Uhhuh?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (19:49):
I hadn't heard that.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (19:50):
Yes.
Tom.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (19:51):
are,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (19:52):
It reminds me of when the Egyptians
cut off the noses of thosestatues.
'cause they didn't want peopleto know that black people ruled
Egypt for thousands of yearswhen the Kush ruled Egypt.
They cut those noses off thosestatues, so you wouldn't see
those wide black noses

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (20:06):
All right.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (20:07):
They cut off them lips.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (20:08):
cut

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (20:09):
That's right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (20:10):
I think, Mike, I'm gonna take a
turn towards optimism right now, because there are still checks
and balances there are stilljudges, federal judges,
throughout the states who canmake rulings.
Now what happens is if it goesup to the Supreme Court.
They're facilitating this wholedictatorship thing and we
weren't gonna go national, butI'm just gonna say that in

(20:31):
response to what you just said.
I'd have to believe that causethey really look at everybody
and some they look the otherway, but they're gonna be
looking at her and as long asher steps are in order, Ken, I
order his steps, whoever.
Then I think that, you reallyare gonna have to have a legit
reason.
They're rewriting the law as wespeak,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (20:53):
They making it up as they go.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (20:55):
it up as they go along.
But to that end, what he did inLos Angeles, bringing the troops
in what he's doing now, so he'sslow walking it, and he still
got, what, three and a half, three, three and a quarter years
to go.
At the end of the day, there'speople out there who are having
putting in lawsuits, every timehe tries to do something.
As long as the feds in thoselocations say, Hey, is not gonna

(21:18):
happen, then now it's on him totake every case that he loses up
to the Supreme Court.
Now that worries me I know theSupreme Court is slanted period.
So that's not a check andbalance really.
But we still have some smallchecks in place slow that tide
of what he's trying to do.
'cause if he, Hey Mike, if hecould snap his finger and get it

(21:40):
done, it would be done.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (21:42):
It's almost to that point.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (21:43):
already authoritarianism,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (21:45):
If you

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (21:45):
What hap

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (21:46):
count, that's city number two.
Did LA

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (21:50):
right now?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (21:51):
He did it and he did all now,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (21:53):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (21:53):
two.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (21:53):
right.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (21:54):
we bring it back.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (21:54):
it back to

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (21:55):
Okay.

thomas-corley_1_08-11 (21:55):
Somebody.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (21:56):
Alright.
Since we're in the barbershopreal quick.
I got a question.
What is happening with ClarenceThomas?
Am I wrong?
I could be

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (22:05):
I Haven't heard anything about his

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (22:06):
Exactly.
I haven't heard anything.
No.
They said that he was on sometype of permanent leave.
Something

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (22:15):
Oh, really?
No, I hadn't heard

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (22:16):
I didn't get the whole gist of the
story, and that's why I wasasking.
What is happening with ClarenceThomas?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (22:22):
I

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (22:22):
I don't know if it's permanent,
but he's on,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (22:25):
I know what you're saying.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (22:26):
it's a long I have to do some more
research into what was going onthere.
But something about, oh, I, Idon't even wanna say it.
Just bring it back local until Ican know what I'm talking about.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (22:37):
All

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (22:37):
I have to get some more research
on that.
It goes to what you were sayingabout the checks and balances.
Our last bastion of checks andbalances when the courts and the
Congress won't do their job isthe media.
The media seems more and morecomplicit to not report on

(22:59):
certain things or just do ablurb about it and keep on
going.
That's more than concerning whenyou got the media in your pocket
Also.
I don't wanna go into what I wasreading earlier, but this show
does look like 1939 all overagain, just before the start of
World War ii.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (23:18):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (23:19):
Sure does.
But I'm gonna leave it alone.
We coming back local.
Okay.
I'm done.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (23:22):
good play.
The playbook, whoever put thatplaybook together, they knew
what they were doing.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (23:28):
Yep.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (23:29):
they're putting it in effect.
It's like a coach going into agame against a team with a plan.
You've done all your homework,The lions, have been good the
last couple years.
And they annihilate Basicallythat playbook that they have,
and it's like a shotgun.
It ain't a single shot, it's aThe pellets are Over.
The news media can only reportso many things.
They focus right now, theyfocusing on what they're doing

(23:51):
in dc They're still focusing onEpstein.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (23:55):
Epstein.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (23:56):
Couple of things they're gonna focus
on.
I probably should watch Fox justto get the other side.
watch M-S-N-B-C or CNN, which ismore liberal leaning, and they
do as best a job they can interms of disseminating news to
hold some accountability.
But you've had people lose theirjob because he's even
controlling, like you said,Mike, even controlling the media

(24:19):
now because he's got'em fearful.
The media giants, the people whoown the publications, He's
basically telling them what theycan and cannot report.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (24:27):
Exactly.
And that's

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (24:29):
Who broke the Epstein?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (24:30):
Yep.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (24:31):
from the Wall Street Journal and not
from the

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (24:33):
Not from

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (24:34):
but

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (24:34):
but

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (24:34):
outlet.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (24:36):
Yeah.
But speaking of media outlets, the shouting from the
mountaintop is coming frompodcasters

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (24:43):
Yes.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (24:44):
Yes.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (24:44):
All those guys are the podcasters
who are not mainstream media.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (24:48):
right.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (24:48):
Not to say that we're at that level,
but we're making noises aboutstuff,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (24:53):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2 (24:53):
there's people listening to what we have
to say on a smaller scale.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (24:57):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (24:58):
And I think that's the direction
that people are gonna startgetting the information from,
whether it come from a, it'sgonna be a silo

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:05):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (25:06):
People are gonna start hearing these
things more or less streamingservices or podcasting.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:11):
Yeah,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (25:11):
But let me go back to Lock a Ken
Lock strategy.
If we were on this campaign.
Team, what do you think would bethe solution for them to chip
away at Mary's lead?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:26):
I think the only thing that they

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (25:28):
May me just say this common sense
things.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:30):
I'm curious.
To Do one.
Continue to stump.
Get out there, get your messageout, talk to people, let'em know
what you're going to do, whatyour plans are, let'em know what
you're about.
Because 40,000 people in a cityof over 600,000 is not a lot.
And then

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (25:47):
No.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:48):
or a lot of those people are
suburban.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (25:50):
All right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:50):
get your message out.
You gotta put the ads out.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (25:53):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (25:53):
You gotta do what they did to you.
And it's unfortunate, but it'scalled politics.
So they came up with the storywhen he was a 19-year-old young
man,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (26:01):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:01):
And we all know that's a no-no.
You don't do that.
And Would do that.
but whatever skeleton she has isunfortunate.
Politics is a dirty game,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (26:11):
It is.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:12):
down a notch is try to chop her knees
off, right?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (26:15):
Woo.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:16):
the game he played.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (26:17):
W.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:18):
door to door and doing TV ads are
only gonna get you so far,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (26:21):
That's right.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (26:22):
he said in a sense, which is,
backhanded slapped, is thatshe's been there in the seat for
10 or 12 years, and the thingsthat have gone on in those 10 to
12 years have not beenproductive for the citizens of
Detroit.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (26:39):
I wouldn't agree with that.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (26:40):
And then,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:41):
They say Her problem is this.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (26:43):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:44):
off on everything that Dug was
doing,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (26:45):
They were saying rubber stamping.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170 (26:46):
Detroit.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (26:47):
Yeah, rubber stamp.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:48):
But it's a positive rubber stamp
because Gotten things done.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (26:51):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (26:51):
they say her biggest problem is she
spends more time on social mediaand she's not accountable.
She doesn't show up.
And meetings are important,right?
Can you be a candidate that's aleader, you ignore we got a
meeting, we need to discussthis, we need to get things
done,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (27:08):
Right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:08):
and you're not there.
So roll call.
How can you get back to runningthe city full-time?
How can you run a city part-timeif you're not gonna show up?
That matter.
but I think he's really gonna bepressed.
He's, he may have to, and Idon't think he'll do this'cause
he's a pastor, going after herdad by association and people

(27:30):
have already started to try todo that,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (27:32):
you know what?
That will be the case probablyKeith, Be the surrogates.
It's not gonna be him directly.
Won't be him directly.
It'll be the surrogates.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:39):
It would have to be the surrogate.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (27:41):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (27:41):
They'll be looking at him like, what
pastor?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2 (27:45):
Playing dirty

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (27:47):
you're right,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (27:47):
pile.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (27:48):
How.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (27:48):
got a poli of tricks.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:50):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (27:50):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:51):
He's gotta Tom, he has a steep
mountain.
Not even a hill to climb.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (27:55):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:55):
Okay.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (27:56):
I don't disagree with that,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (27:58):
yep.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (27:58):
but I think that.
I think the miracle can happen, but I just think there need
action needs to take place.
Such as you say, boots on theground, but he's gotta talk to

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (28:11):
them little fans down.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (28:12):
Or maybe they knew, need the fans
and he get some votes.
Yeah.
Put your name on the fan.

thomas-corley_1_08-11 (28:17):
T-shirts.
I

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (28:18):
On

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (28:18):
Ken Lock.
Now, didn't need the fans to sayI rock with

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (28:21):
Ride and have him in the club.
Smack smack.
That's what I'm talking about.
He'll get some votes then.
That's right.
Give'em fans.
All right, Ken Lock, that's ouradvice.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (28:31):
I don't know if this had anything
to do with the,'cause they sayMary was everywhere.
That's one of the things theysaid.
She was everywhere.
So the avenue of fashion hadtheir annual.
Gathering or festival orwhatever it was.
I saw Mary, she was out thereKinloch.
I saw the first lady, Robin

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (28:52):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (28:52):
Did I see her son?
I don't even remember if I sawher son, but I did see her.
She was up and down the blocksof the of Livernois.
But going back to what Kinlochneeds to do, I don't know what
he was doing that day, but heneeds to be everywhere just like
Mary is.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:07):
Yeah.
He needs to I

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (29:08):
yeah.
Yeah.
And he needs to get his messageout and communicate that to
people who are going to go tothe polls.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:13):
yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (29:14):
How do you say not waste your time
on those who don't plan to votebecause indifferent.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:20):
Or

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (29:20):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:21):
One of either of the two.
You have to have some certifiedpollsters who can really make
presumptions about what theturnout is gonna be.
So you can't afford to, not haveyour message go out like a
shotgun pellet, right?
You Everything

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (29:34):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:35):
only got so much time.
And two, you need to get thenews out to as many people as
possible.
One of the things you can playon, he's not an old man, he's a
young man by my standard, butcompared to her, he's got

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (29:46):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (29:46):
in experience.
You can poke a hole like that.
She's 36 years old, man.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (29:50):
Yeah, I didn't know She looks young.
I just assumed she was young, but I didn't think much of it.
But now to, to that point,Keith, of messaging, he may need
to invest in a national.
Campaign type person.
People in the city of Detroitare very particular about
campaigns and who's runningthem.
They want everybody to be local, but at least behind the scenes,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (30:12):
yes.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (30:12):
least behind the scenes, they need to
have somebody at the caliber whoknows how to do this.
To get somebody whoever Obamahad, to go from, being faceless
and unknown

keith_1_08-11-2025_1 (30:22):
everything costs money.
He's raised half again of whatshe's raised.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (30:27):
That's where I was going.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (30:29):
Of what she has,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (30:30):
I think that's gonna change now
because he's come from thebottom to number two.
You just don't do that.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (30:36):
Sides.
But I

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (30:37):
But the money.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (30:38):
They're gonna give to her.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (30:39):
Money can come from the faceless money
can come from outta state.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (30:43):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (30:43):
But you only have until when this
election is November,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (30:47):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (30:47):
Oh, yeah.
If she's already got such acommanding lead, money-wise.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (30:52):
Yeah

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (30:53):
he doesn't have enough time to make
that up, right?

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (30:56):
and he is gotta

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (30:57):
No.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (30:57):
He needed to talk to the other
candidates who lost out.
Can I get your support?

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (31:02):
Correct.
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:03):
If

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (31:04):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:04):
that part,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (31:05):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:06):
If he can get their support, he's

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (31:09):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:09):
He's got a chance.
'cause they did pull some votes.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (31:12):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (31:12):
Portion of those votes, he's still got a
chance.
And so it's

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (31:16):
That's what he should have been doing
the next morning.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (31:19):
But believe James Craig out of it.
Don't get his votes.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (31:21):
Go to,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (31:21):
man.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_17 (31:22):
a meeting with him.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (31:23):
No.
No.
Huh.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:25):
when they asked him what he had about
$5 on hand.
He could get a bag of chips withthat.
No, but that's one way of doingit.
Trying to go after thoseindividuals that lost to her and
him,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (31:35):
yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:35):
if he can get their support.
Certainly that wouldn't hurt.
And again, like I said, basically when you look at these
businesses and the monies thatthey can bring in, they want
somebody that's gonna befavorable.
Back to the corruption part thatMike spoke

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (31:50):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (31:51):
So who do you get in bed with now?
So if you go against Mary andshe wins, piss her off.
If you go against Kinloch and hewins, maybe he's pissed off and
you don't get everything thatyou want.
so basically what they do isthey start to spread the funds,
both Is upset, but you're righthe'll have more money to work

(32:11):
with I don't know how muchthese.
Ads cost, man.
But when

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (32:15):
Who

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (32:16):
The presidential election, they were
talking about, a few minuteshere, a few minutes there was
causing thousands of dollars.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (32:23):
Correct.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (32:24):
what they can charge.
I don't know if they could dothat on local basis but you
gotta have a war chest.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (32:29):
Yeah,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (32:29):
right now she's got a huge war chest
and when you go to church andyou look in your pocket.
You want to tithe, but reallyall you can give is,$5 them$5
donation.
Either I'm donating to church orI'm donating to your campaign.
They only gonna go so far

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (32:46):
how many people did you say voted in
this election?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (32:50):
about

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (32:50):
85,000

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (32:52):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (32:52):
in the primaries.
Okay.
And then when the autocratic andchief won 20,000, Detroiters
voted for him.
20,000 people in the city ofDetroit voted for the autocrat
in chief,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (33:05):
All right.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (33:06):
which, okay, so that tells me that they
are voters.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:10):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (33:10):
So I'm not saying that all 20,000
voted in this primary, Assumingthat they did, that tells you.
Of that 85,000 of 20,000, 20,000of them, weren't that bright
then, what does that tell you?

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:27):
The other party is that people tend
to take primaries for granted.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (33:32):
True.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:32):
That number should go up

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (33:33):
you're right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:34):
but

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (33:35):
That is very true, Keith.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:36):
If it's a true indicator, then Ken
Lock has to be concernedbecause, 51%, 17%, what's that?
There's a difference of 34%.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (33:47):
Huh.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (33:47):
making up to do,

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (33:48):
Yeah.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:49):
He's

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (33:49):
No, he's not gonna,

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (33:50):
Can it be done, Mike?
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (33:51):
yeah, but I doubt it.
Not in 90 days, not with the waythat Detroiters vote.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170 (33:57):
Possible but not probable.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (33:59):
correct.
Possible but not probable.
There you go.
Unless he comes out withsomething major on her, and I
don't know.
I doubt that she has anythingmajor on her, but I would doubt
that.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (34:10):
That's

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (34:10):
Yeah.

thomas-corley_1_08-11- (34:11):
happens.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (34:12):
If

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (34:12):
in October.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (34:13):
correct.
If,

thomas-corley_1_08-11 (34:14):
campaign.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (34:15):
if there is something, then he's
gonna have to go there.
And that's the only way he gonnawin.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (34:20):
All right, gentlemen.
We didn't much say anythingabout save the Children because
then we'd be going back to ourcivics lesson.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (34:28):
No, the, to save the children part,
I would say children, look atwhat your parents are doing, and
don't do that unless they'revoting.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (34:35):
that.
Yeah.
Unless they're

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (34:37):
learn about the candidates for
yourself when it's your time tovote.
Number one, participate indemocracy.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (34:43):
Mike.
I

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (34:44):
That's number one.
Participate.
Democracy takes participation.
Learn for yourself about thecandidates.
Don't just take anybody's wordfor it.
Learn about'em yourself, andthen vote

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (34:56):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (34:57):
go from there.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (34:58):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11 (34:58):
things not gonna always go your way,
but at least you participated.
You know the process.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_1 (35:03):
If you don't vote.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (35:04):
right there you go.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (35:06):
is a recipe for disaster.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (35:08):
Correct.

keith_1_08-11-2025_17 (35:09):
Something that ultimately lead to the
demise of democracy.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2025 (35:15):
I would tell the children there is
no democracy.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (35:18):
so that's what people have to be
mindful of.
Was really sad to see theturnout.
historically it probably wasanticipated based on prior
records.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (35:29):
Yeah they forecasted between 15 and
18%.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (35:32):
No.
We need

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (35:33):
were right on point.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025 (35:34):
Yep.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (35:34):
So I Have to be more passionate, and
people right now, in this dayand time, turnout should be,
everybody should turn out'causewe should be

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (35:43):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11- (35:43):
Yeah.
And that's

keith_1_08-11-2025_17043 (35:44):
should be sitting on their hands.
At home.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08- (35:47):
correct.
Don't.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-20 (35:47):
right.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (35:48):
and they have absentee ballot

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-2 (35:50):
Yes.
Thank you, Keith.

thomas-corley_1_08-11-202 (35:51):
Yeah.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (35:52):
be afraid to vote.
Don't be afraid to make a wrongchoice.
Just make a choice,

keith_1_08-11-2025_1704 (35:57):
choice.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (35:57):
And then if it's the wrong choice,
you'll know, and you'll know notto do that again.
You'll know to do more research,

thomas-corley_1_08-11-2025_ (36:03):
Oh, no.

You'll know to do more research on the
person that you vote, right?
But like you said, democracytakes participation.
Don't be afraid to vote, just doit.
Just go on and do it.
Vote for who you think is gonnabe the best person who aligns
himself more with what you thinkyou like to see.
And sometimes neither candidateis gonna be, what you want.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (36:27):
Mike say just do it again.
That might get us a Nikesponsorship.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (36:31):
Go when neither candidate is your
candidate.
Go for the least amount ofdamage.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (36:38):
Yes.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-202 (36:39):
If you don't like either one.
Who do you hate?
Worse?
Then don't vote for that person.
Vote for the other.

keith_1_08-11-2025_170434 (36:43):
But vote.

squadcaster-70j9_1_08-11-20 (36:44):
But vote you have to vote.
There you go.
