In this week’s episode we go so far down the rabbit hole that we encounter the mutated denizens of a lost race descended from Atlantean giants because this week we’re exploring the science-fiction world of Richard Sharp Shaver who, of all things, claimed these stories were none other than historical fact! Published in Amazing Stories Magazine in the 1940s with the help of editor Robert Palmer the Shaver Mystery took the world by storm and laid the foundation for UFOlogy and conspiracy culture that endures today. In the first half of the show we discuss Richard Shaver’s theophany of the lusty swamp witch, Nydia and how he came to know firsthand the denizens of the underworld. We also take a look at the ancient space language, a galactic commons of sorts that Shaver introduced to us and begin exploring the colorful details as they are described in his first published story “I Remember Lemuria.” In the extended episode we go further down the Shaver Rabbit Hole (that sounds pornographic somehow) and get into the vast menagerie of human alien animal hybrids that our ancient alien overlords created in their laboratories and populate the many worlds in space. We discuss the radioactive influence of the sun, megalithic monuments that still exist today and the origin of the devilish Dero who control the human elite from their high-tech machines far below the Earth’s surface.
