You just want to focus on writing books for kids, but you know you need to market them too. 🤷Facebook is powerful because it's where everyone is! But it can quickly get to feel heavy in there. We often end up avoiding it because the negativity is TOO MUCH. Today you'll learn in just two easy steps how to curate your Facebook feed. You'll be surprised at the improvement after just a few days.

Focusing on helping others, even a simple message, helps US too. 😊 We feel more grounded, and begin to focus on the things we can do, rather than the things we can't. Today is the second day in the activity ladder, and you have two types of people to focus on. 🗣 Let's see how it helps you!

While typical 'buy my book' marketing feels out of touch during a pandemic, it's actually not a great strategy at ANY time, crisis or not. Strengthening relationships & growing connections are ALWAYS a great way to market your books, but especially now while the world is reeling. Here is a straightforward tip to get you started this week.
Are your kids suddenly at home with you, making any kind of work seem impossible? Jo Ebisujima is an author, educator and a maker of fun! She understands how difficult it is to squeeze everything in, and she has an uncanny knack for showing you how to break things down into do-able bite-sized kaizen steps. With her no-BS attitude, she guides you to set up systems in your home so that everything runs more smoothly for you and your ...
Are you ready to build (or improve) your reader community? The final piece of the puzzle is what we talk about today. When and how often should you share (an email or a post) with your community? And what can you do if you aren't able to do that every day?
Once you've thought about where you want your community to grow, who you want there with you, and how you'll show up, it's time to think about what it is you want to share. There are LOADS of options, and I highly recommend narrowing it down to a few topics, for your sake.
Let's plan, shall we? When you first start to build your community, who do you want there with you? What types of people - adults or kids? What types of adults? Nature lovers, parents, scientists? What will you share with them, there is so much to choose from! And, most importantly, how to do all of this WELL.
All children’s authors should think about how they can incorporate community building into their marketing, or beef it up if it's already being done. NOW IS THE TIME. The world needs to feel connected, even though we are all alone, and you have the opportunity to nurture a community like never before!
What should children's authors do now, as the world tilts sideways? Should we continue creating and selling our books, or is it the time to give up? You likely know my take on the situation: it’s NOT the time to give up creating books for kids or to stop marketing. It’s the time to dig deep within ourselves, to continue bringing our work to the world, for children. It's also time to allow ourselves more grace.
