Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome to the NXT podcast, your home for weekly NXT
reviews and insight.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
The beautiful part of NXT is that when one dream ends,
another dream begins.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Find all of your NXT news recaps and analysis right here.
So with that being said, we only have one question
for you.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Ah ye who we thought?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
So let's get the show started right now.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Hey, everyone, welcome to the NXT Review. This is Jay.
I am back again for your NXT review for the
show that aired on What's Today? Today's November thirteenth. So
this show are aired? Sorry, this show aired on November
twelfth from the Performance Center in Winter Park, Florida. I'm

(01:05):
gonna get into the show, get my thoughts. Yeah, so
last week, just just in general, last week's show was phenomenal.
Anybody that doesn't think it was phenomenal, they need to
rewatch it and tell me why. Please tell me why
you don't think it's final. Yeah, last week was phenomenal.
This week, I'm not gonna say it was a letdown,

(01:26):
but compared to last week, it was sure it sure
felt like a letdown. They have started the qualifications for
the Iron Man Challenge. What's it called? The Iron Survivor Challenge.
Because Iron Man challenged, that would be that would definitely
be not a good thing to say, the Iron Survivor Challenge.

(01:49):
And this is my second year watching NXT. I did
watch the Iron Survivor Survivor Challenge last year. I know that.
So wwe had War Games, they have the Iron Survivor Challenge,
they have the World Rumble, they have Elimination Chamber. They
all kind of happened around this time. Uh, to lead

(02:11):
up to April, which is Wrestlemingia weekend and Standard Deliver
for the NXT, and we're gonna have the Iron Survivor,
the Iron Survivor match matches. There's two matches, one for
the women, one for the men, and it is going
to be on December seventh, which is a Saturday, which

(02:32):
I thought was interesting. So actually exactly seven days before
Saturday Night's mean event. So and Saturday Nights main events
on Peacock. I know it's that you can watch it
on Free TV and NBC as well, but it's also
on Peacock. So excuse me. December seventh is the and
the the name of the pl on December seventh is

(02:53):
Deadline and it's way to feature the Iron Survivor Challenge
matches one women, one's men, one men's match, and you're
probably asking me, if you don't know yet, you're probably
asking me, hey, Jay, what's an Iron Survivor Challenge match?
So I will tell you the Iron Survivor Challenge match.
It's a twenty five minute match that features five wrestlers,

(03:18):
so five wrestlers, five men and their match, five women
in their match. Two wrestlers start to match, and then
every five minutes another wrestler comes out, with the fifth
and final participant entering at the fifteen minute mark. The
objective is to earn the most points before time expires
the deadline. Last year, I remember last year correctly. It

(03:42):
was a pretty exciting match, so I'm definitely looking forward
to it. We started the qualifying matches last night, so
there's five qualifying match five qualifiers, so you know, there
was two qualifying matches last night for the women, two
qualifying matches last night for the men, and that will
go on until the weekend. I guess the fourth Tuesday,

(04:06):
the fourth, I believe it is, or the third third,
and then we'll have the Iron Survivor Challenge. So, uh,
like I said, it's it's a fun it's a fun match,
and then there's also uh, there's also a penalty box.
And we'll get into the the whole match as as
we get closer to the p l A. I will
I will doing the pl review luckily because the PL

(04:28):
is on a Saturday, Sunday is a good day for
me to be able to do the pl E review.
Having the PLS on Sunday Monday is a busy day
for me at my regular job, my real job, or
as as I've been told, my big boy job. And
for those of you who don't know, I'm a social
worker on this you know that's my main job, so
excuse me. So we'll get we'll get more into what

(04:52):
the Iron Survivor Challenge is and everything like that. But
for now we're talking about last night. And last night
was was the episode of NXTS. Like the first thing
they did when they came on was the review of
last week. Again, last week was ridiculous. It was ridiculous.

(05:14):
I mean, there's all the people that came on, the
flashbacks from ECW days, the Ten Women match at the end,
and I want to again, I know, for those of
you that listen to this podcast, my my version of
the WW podcast the NXT Review. For those of you
that listen to it every week, you probably know at

(05:34):
this point that I heavily favored the women at some point,
and I was thinking about this before I was you know,
I was thinking about what I was gonna say during
today's podcast. At some point, all of these women, well
a lot of these women, I mean, eventually they're gonna
come up slowly, but but at some point, all of
these women are gonna make it to the main roster,

(05:57):
the main roster, the female the vision right now, right now,
the main roster female division is just okay, maybe just okay.
I mean, to be honest, it's it's so okay. You've
got probably your top actual wrestler, your top wrestler female

(06:21):
as a tag team champion, which she should be fighting
for one of the titles, for one of the singles titles.
But you've got no I'm not gonna say you've got
no women's tag team. You've got very few women's tag teams.
You've got, I mean, they're they're piecing things together. And
then we'll talk about piecing tag teams together again when

(06:43):
we talk about when we talk about the n XT show,
you've got the title on Raw being hijacked by Live
Morgan and Ray Ripley for the last few months. You've
got Naya, who is a great champion on SmackDown, but
she really has like two or three people that are
viable options to take title from her. And then you've

(07:06):
got a plethora, plethora, I use the word plethora, a
plethora of talent and NXT getting ready to be boosted.
So at some point, and I know the draft is
coming up next year, and obviously we know what everybody
came up at the same time. But there is a
lot of women and unfortunately some of them just came in,

(07:31):
uh Sephanie, Pa Khera and Julia, you know, just came in.
But there's a lot of competitors, female competitors that are
going to go up to the main roster at some point,
and then the women's division the main roster, and it
so the ones that are coming up in addition the
ones that are there is going to be crazy. And
again I say this, I know that the day the

(07:52):
Women's pol a couple of years ago. Excuse me, but
they literally could have another women's pl if they put
all the shows together. It's just a thought but it
would be great, and to be honest, if you the
last two weeks, the last two weeks of that next,

(08:15):
they have started and ended the shows with women's matches.
They did it last week with the Hardcore match between
Lola and Jada, and they ended with the ten women
tag match, and then they did it again this week.

(08:35):
They started out with the tag team that Stephanie vccorr
and Julia match versus the Metaphor Girls, and then they
ended it with the North American Women's Championship match. They
they are very much heavily invested in their women's division
and they're starting to talk a lot more. The commentators,

(08:56):
they're really starting to talk a lot more about how
this is. And I've been saying the same thing for
weeks now. This is the premier women's division. And to
the point where I mean, we can go through the matches.
I go through the matches, but like we've got one two,
uh one two three, we have four out of six

(09:21):
matches where the ladies division. The only two matches for
the men's division last night was the Iron Survivor qualified matches.
That's it. That's it. There were no other men's matches
last night except for that, they had to they had
to put the Iron Survivor qualifying matches on because it
has to be all set before I'm guessing before Thanksgiving

(09:42):
or just after Thanksgiving. So they're they're like, they're they're
they're taking on the majority of that. They did last night.
They took up the majority of the time. So yeah, like,
I hope they continue to push the women. I hope
they start obviously the draft and until I think what
April or may probably may because WrestleMania weekend is such

(10:05):
it is like so far into April this year, they
need to really think about who they're gonna move up
because there's enough people and there's enough women in NXT
to keep it sustained at this point, and there's some

(10:26):
women's wrestlers needed in the main roster, especially especially if
either of the shows smacked down a row go to
three hours. They have to have other viable competitors, women's competitors.
So that's my that's my spiel about that. I'm not
gonna go I'm not gonna continue it too much longer.

(10:47):
But you all know, like again, if you've all listened
to the NXT review on a regular basis, you know
how I feel about it. And by the way I
grew up in the Attitude era, like obviously the attitude
that is vastly different than it is now. And now
we focused so back then we focused on show right,
focused on things that we don't focus on anymore. If

(11:08):
you get my drift. If you don't, then and then
message me and let me know. But now it's all
focused on the wrestling, and that's what's awesome about it.
That's what's awesome about it. So as we said before,
let's talk about the show last night. As I said before,
it has been originated from the Performance Center in Winter Park, Florida.

(11:32):
Excuse me why I put my glasses on because I
can't see anymore that I'm getting older. And we are
commentators again once again are Big Joseph and Booker T.
And the re announcer is Mike Rome. And as I said,
they did a recap of last week first before the
first match started, and your first match is stephanievccor and

(11:53):
Julie versus the the Ladies of Metaphor, which is Jakara
Jackson and Lash Legend. And part of the intro to
this match was basically Lash and Jakara saying, you know,
we've been we've been smoking on on Rown SmackDown. You
guys have been down here and think you're gonna think
about this for a second. Jaikara and and Last Legend

(12:18):
they went to Saudi Arabia and fought like I'm sorry.
I would guess I would guess that they're gonna be
the first people to the first women to get bumped
up permanently. But we shall see. So this match was,
it was. It was a pretty good match. The last

(12:42):
Just to be honest, all four of these women are
phenomenal wrestlers. I mean the week I think I would
guess I would guess that the week link of the
four of these women is Jakara Jackson and and I'm
not saying that she's weak. I'm saying that of the four,
she's the weak. Guest. Last Legend is phenomenal. I know,
keep using that word. You keep using that word. I

(13:03):
do not think it means what you think it means.
Princess Brian reference anyone. So lash Legends is awesome. Julia
and Stephanie are amazing. I personally of Stephanie and Julia,
I personally prefer Stephanie's wrestling but that's just me. I know,

(13:27):
to be honest, most people you could probably flip a
coin and pick one. I prefer Stephanie. That's just me.
At the end of the match, we've got Julie with
a missile drop cake, Stephanie hits the package backbreaker. Then
Julie and Stephanie connect with the double Kimmagoy to pick

(13:47):
up the victory. And after the match, Blake Howard comes in.
I was pondering who this guy was, Like, all of
a sudden, this guy's coming into interview. I'm like, who
the heck is this guy? His name is Blake Howard,
and he talked about the two of them competing in
the Iron Survivor qualifying matches, and Stephanie tells Julie that
she saw this coming at some point. So, I are

(14:12):
they gonna have to go against each other and a
qualifying match. I hope not, because I have to tell
you I would rather see them both in the Iron
Survivor match. But we'll see what happens. So your winners
of the match were Stephanie Vacoor and Julia be A Pinfall.
And then we got a video package of the concept

(14:34):
of the Iron Survivor Challenge match and what that is? Okay,
the second match was again, so going back to the
whole women's thing. I'm sorry I did say I would stop,
but I'm gonna do it again. Going back to the
whole women's thing. You've got the first match, women's tag
team match, first match, second match, You've got the women's

(14:56):
qualifying match for the Iron Survivor Challenge between Cory Jade
and Soul Ruca. And I have to tell you but
sol Ruca is also pretty really cool. She's really cool
the way that she's so fluid when she moves, she's
flexible as all get out. Oh my god. And don't

(15:17):
get me wrong, I actually really think Corey Jane is
awesome too. And unfortunately this is this is for me personally.
This was one of those well somebody has to lose
scenarios because I would have loved to see both of
them in the Iron Survivor Challenge. Unfortunately there's only five spots.
This was a great match, and soul Ruca's finishing move
it's a cutter that she calls, she calls the soul Snatcher.

(15:43):
And I have to say there was a video played
about from Corey JD about how she will not have
her soul snatched by sol Ruka. Guess what she did.
So the end of the match, Ruka locked a double
underhook DDT. She avoided a rising knees strike and then

(16:04):
Ruka connected with the soul snatcher and the soul snatcher basis.
So if you don't know what the soul snatcher is,
if you haven't seen it, or if you don't know
what it is, it's a cutter. But so she jumps,
she like climbs the ropes, does a backflip into a cutter,
like an r KO type cutter. And it's really cool,
like the movie. It's it's innovative, it's it's probably it's

(16:29):
probably like have a little version of the uh of
the Cody Cutter, but like cooler than the COLDI Cutter,
because you know Cody's it's just okay, that's just me.
I like Cody Rhoads. It's just unfortunately, there's a lot
more cooler guys. Cody Roads is you know I heard
I've heard Matt talk about this in his in his podcast.

(16:52):
If Cody Roads did not have the song, if you
did not have the Kingdom song, I don't think he
would be as big as he is. That's just me
and to be honest, he didn't have it the last
time through, and you know we saw what happened then
the last the last time he was in w w E.

(17:13):
So the winner of the match was Sole Ruk of
Very via pinfall. Then we have Javon Evans and Cedric
Alexander and uh, they're talking about their qualifying matches. They
each had a separate qualifying match for the Iron Survivor Challenge.
Cedric Alexander was gonna be taking on Wes Lee later on,

(17:34):
and uh, Javan Evans is taking on a Lexus King.
So that those those were the pre the pull ups
for the for the matches. After that, we have a
Chanti the Adonis. He comes down and takes issue with
Carmen Petrovick having a conversation with Dion Lennox. Dion says
that he and Chante are not best friends, and he

(17:54):
suggests that Ashanti and Carmen should learn to team up
in a mixed tag match against So what I'm reading
says that they should be in a next mixed tag
match to get along better. And then Brittanley Reese is
there and she kind of says suggests that, Okay, then
we'll do it. Well, we'll do it with Carmen and
and Ashanti versus Dion and Brittley Reese. So that's what's

(18:19):
gonna happen. Next week, We're gonna have a mixed tag match.
So that's that's seems to be interesting. Uh. Then we
see ABA holding court with the NXT Tag Team Division. Okay,
it's not just NXT whose Tag Team Division sucks, it's
all of them. I mean, there are obviously obviously Motor

(18:43):
City Machine To me, MotorCity Machine Guns are the quintessential
tag team right now. The fact that they put the
titles on them within a week of them coming was
it was a brilliant move. Brilliant move. They are a
tag team. The rest of these teams, a lot of
these teams are put togethers the Tag Team Division and

(19:04):
n XT. They're champions and I know, I know I've
mentioned this before. They're champions are a throw together tag team. Now.
Granted they've never been a tag team for quite some time,
they've been doing it, you know, they've they've held the
titles on multiple occasions in the last year or so.
They are more of a tag team now than they were,
but they were also thrown together. All these teams. I

(19:28):
don't know, there's you know, I look at the teams
for this, you know, they're doing something with all of
these tag teams, and Ava's in there and she's saying
she's has something planned, but she didn't say what, and
then like they're all just started yelling at each other
and it's just so annoying. Like I remember back when
I was a kid, Okay, we had had tag teams

(19:50):
like the Heart Foundation, Demolition, the British Bulldogs, God Powers
of Pain, Uh, Legion of Doom. I mean, these were
actual tag teams, these tag teams in all three shows
that I'm not I'm not pointing out n XT, although

(20:12):
that's what I'm talking about today because that's why I
talk about usually. But the tag team divisions and all
of them are just so lackluster that the Raw Tag
Champions are a throw together team. The champions before like
not not not the Bloodline, but the ones before that,

(20:32):
they were Austin Theoria and and Grayson Waller. They were
a throw to. There's so many throw together teams, cut
the cut the just they need to redo the entire
tag team division. I honestly, I missed the old days
when it when it was these were like they came
in as actual tag teams again, The Heart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Demolition,

(20:53):
Powers of Pain were put together and then they were separated.
But all the all the eighties and that the Rockers,
like for Shawn Michael's you know, kicked him or through
more regenity through the barbershop window anyway, So that's what
happened with that. They all got together and the started
screaming at each other, and then we went to commercial.

(21:14):
The third match was wes Lee versus Cedric Alexander for
the Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying match. And at the end
of the match we have we have wes Lee delivering
a cardiac kick for a two count. Alexander then avoids
a four to fifty splash, and then Alexander has inside

(21:35):
out lariot, which, let me tell you it was he
gave him. He gave him a clothes line that knocked
knocked him out of his shoes practically. And then as
Alexander's playing for the for the crowd, Keith Lee removes
the middle turnbuckle pad. It kind of they trying to
try to make it seem like it was it was

(21:57):
an accident, but it wasn't an accident. An Alexander as
as the referee is trying to put the the pad
back on, he hits the Mitch Mitch Driver mitche nooku
driver for a two count and then Lee drops drop
takes Alexander into the exposed steel of the pad because

(22:17):
the pad fell back off after the referee tried to
fix it, and Lee cannet we Uh Wesley can connects
with the running meteora to pick up a guy. Have
you ever seen a meteora? EO Sky does a meteora?
Wesley does a meteor Like the meteors, they look like
they don't look like it's not fake pre planned, but

(22:41):
it looks like it hurts so bad. I never want
to get meteorid by anybody. I'm just saying, so your
winner is so the winner, and the next first qualifier
for the Iron Survivor Challenge for the men is Wes Lee.
Then in the back we've got Shawan Spears and Brooks
Denton and they're interrupted by Tony de Angelo. They interrupt

(23:02):
Tony D'Angelo at dinner at his restaurant. Uh the don
doesn't like being followed by Spears and Jensen all the time.
Spears says that he's persistent. The Don calls Spears annoying.
Spears says that he he let Tony slide two times.
He knows that the Don made a huge family. He
feels like he can he can. He feels like he

(23:25):
can similarly impact if he was on the the NXT
North American Champion and the Don remind Spears that it
took almost three years and to throning a monster to
capture the title, which by the way, Olba family has
been off for like weeks now, and I hear that
he was saying goodbye to people after not you know,

(23:48):
not last week the week before, saying goodbye to people
from NXT. I have a feeling that Oba family is
gonna show up on the main roster. So because obviously
like he isn't like he hasn't been there in a while.
He's not hurt as far as I know. The last
match that he had was the second match against the
Tony D'Angelo where he lost. So I would look out

(24:11):
for him on the main roster. I'm not saying I
know anything for sure. I'm just saying it's possible. Pierre says.
The difference with Spears, sorry, says the difference between him
and everybody else in this roster, and that is that
he is starving. The only thing that will satisfy his
appetite is the NXT North American Championship. That really, that's it.
That's all the thing that's gonna satisfy it. Okay, Spears

(24:34):
appreciates to Don giving him some time, and Spears drives
away from the restaurant and a mysterious man and Jensen
are in the truck together, so we'll have to see
who that is moving forward. Then we have Byron Saxton. Uh,
good to see Byron again. We haven't seen him in
a while. I know he's been on NXT, but I
feel like he's not getting a lot of time. Byron

(24:56):
Saxon's backstage with Coloney Jordan. This is the moment when
she's she's been waiting for us in Halloween Havoc. As
soon as the bell rings. She's coming straight from Fallon
Henley and she doesn't care if she has to deal
with j C. Jane and Jasmine Nicks. They can suffer
the same thing. Colannie says that she's getting her title
back to Night, Fatal Influence takes issue with Coloney's statements,

(25:17):
and jac says that one way or another, fatal Influence
will get the best of her, and Colonnie says that
that's on site as they decide. Klannie says, that's on
site as they as they walk away. So then we that's,
by the way, that's the main event. I think I
mentioned that writing. So then you've got a segment with

(25:41):
Chrick Williams. He's in, he's in the ring, and he
says Philly went crazy last week with both deadline around
the corner, and just to remind them, last year that
deadline was he won the Irish Survivor Iron Survivor Challenge
and things looked look good for Trick Willie. But that's

(26:02):
not what I'm here to talk about. Last week, me
and Bubba Ray put ethan page to a table. But no,
that's not what I'm here to talk about either. I'm
here to talk about Ridge Holland, who pinned me and
he got one on Trick Williams. News flash, Ridge, Trick
Williams ain't going out like that. What I'm trying to
say is Ridge, get your punk ass out here. That's

(26:22):
a quote. That's a quote. This is a PG PG
thirteen PG third show. So then Andre Chase comes walking
out and says, I apologize for the interruption. You know,
I've got no b with you, but i still have
beef for the Ridge Holland. I'm not done with him,

(26:43):
not yet by a long shot. And Trick says, I
can see. I can see that, mister Chase, after being
after everything Ridge did to you, after everything Ridge did
to destroy Chase you, but I'm thinking about it, and
after everything that he's done, you still found out how
to get back on your feet, right, mister Chase, Call
on mister Chase like the whole time, mister Chase. Yeah, look,

(27:08):
mister Chase, you're a staple here in NXT. You've done
everything here in NXT, well not everything, when I think
about it. You ain't got a chance at the NXT Championship.
How about one, one day, one moment only forget everything
Rich Holland has done to you. And then Ridge comes
out and goes, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. This needs
to stop right now, Andre Chase getting an NXT title

(27:31):
shot and you can call yourself a champion, Trick ducky
mean for a man that I put in an ambulance
two weeks ago, that's that's not wrong, professor. You need
to learn about learn that. I've moved on and trick,
I made the famous ecw rena foe deadly silent after
I pinned your course. And you know, and I know

(27:53):
some people know exactly what I said. Okay, moving on,
and you know that I'm the biggest threat to your
NXT title. And then Andre Chase says, wait one second.
After everything you put me through, everything you put the
university through, I want one more match, and rich says no,
and Andre says, I'll put everything on it. I'll put

(28:14):
the university on the line if you win, Chase, University
is yours. Okay. So my first reaction to that is
so like, oh, so he wants the universe, Like he's
gonna put up the university. I know that we're supposed
to think that this is a real university, but come on,
it's basically four guys, three guys, and a girl. I'm sorry,

(28:39):
a woman. She's nineteen, My daughter's nineteen. She's nineteen. She's
a girl, but she's a woman for the sake of
purposes of this conversation, so rich, Holand says, I don't
care about your precious university. You've already gambled it away
and got it back. The only thing I care about
is the NXT title. And then Trick says, WHOA, Well,

(29:01):
I think I got it. Ridge, you want a chance
an XT championship, mister Chase, you want a chance to
whip his ass again, quoting Okay, I've got an idea.
I think we'll go see Ala and set up next
week Ridge Holland versus Andre Chase and the winner gets
a match with me at deadline. But I ain't gonna lie.
I'm pulling for you, mister Chase. After everything you've been through,

(29:23):
after all the hardware or per worker of the last
few years, everything you've overcome. Look, Chase, you is out
of is is out here for you. NXT loves it,
loves Chase you, and Chase you loves NXT. You hear that. Ridge,
that's a connection. That's the relationship. And while they're they're
they're going, you know, the crowds with the US and stuff.

(29:44):
The relationship that is growing with Duke, a relationship that's
growing with Riley in a relationship that's go with THEA.
And then Ridge says, hold on a second, I'll take that,
And then Andres you'll take what? And Ridge says, I
want that? Well, he just said, I if I beat
you a relationship I a relationship with Raley Oran. Though
the relationship with Rally Oran Osbourne is done. MVP Duke

(30:06):
Cutson is done. And if I beat you, your relationship
with THEA Hale is done. And did you? I was
the only person I thought that was a weird statement
to make. Again, she's nineteen and he and you know,
I don't know. It was just it was weird. While
you've got nothing for a man, I can never win
the big one. It's quite a gamble, mister Chase, what
are you gonna do? And Andre says, Chase, after thinking

(30:28):
about it for a couple of seconds, says, you're on
and I'm gonna give Andrew Chase university a university sized
ass weapon. Excuse me, I'm sorry, and then Holland rocks
Chase for a forearm smashed, and Trick drops Holland with
the book end and chasing Trick delivers the chase you

(30:52):
stomp to close the segment. So next week we got
a title whenever one Contenders match between Rich Holland and
Andre Chase, and that should be a good match. I
mean the last match was an ambulance match and I
thought it was awesome. So then we have Josh Briggs
come out and he introduces Yoshiki in a Mourra to

(31:15):
Ava and Amurra is the latest signing from Pro Wrestling
n O a h and so he says that he's
honored to be NXT and Eddie Thorpe comes out and
it's tired of being blown off by Ava and Thorpe
will now have the opportunity to qualify for the Ironsavivor
Challenge match. Okay, the next match we have is the

(31:36):
Kena Lions versus Adriana Rizzo with the family. It says
with the family, but it's not. The family wasn't out there.
This match came as a result of supposedly, this is
where we have to think, even though we didn't see it,
Nikita Lyons taking out Rizzo a few weeks ago before
the match between the Don and Obafemi, So this is

(32:01):
basically Rizzio's payback. Rizzo paid back, so Rizzo lost the match.
So the Lions sends Rizzo to the corner. Rizzo kicks
Lions in the face and Rizzou goes for flying lou
Fez press, but Lions blocks it. Lions super kicks Rizzo.
Lions connects with the vaderbaumb to pick up a victory.
After the match, and after the match, Rizzeou sneaks out

(32:24):
of the ring of sneak. She just got out of
the ring, grabbed a crowbar and just clocked her in
the back of the head with it, as you would
if you were a mafia family, right, So there you go.
After that match, Andre Chase is telling Chase University that
the university was built was built on taking risks and

(32:48):
next week will be no different. They will be riding
the highest or Highest and mister Chase finally gets his
first shot and the NXT Championship at deadline. Okay, then
we have yet about Zaria, So basically Zaria telling us
how awesome she is, which we all know. Okay, moving
on next match. The fifth match is Javon Evans versus

(33:12):
Lexus King and it's another Iron Man Survivor Challenge match
and at the end of the match we have a
forearm forearm exchange. King slaps Evans in the face, Evans
takes a flying Evans it goes It does a flying
forearm smash, then Lexus King with a boot to the face,

(33:33):
Evans answers with a handspring corkspru handspring corkscrew kick, and
Evans delivers a five star frog splash for a two count.
King hits a backstabber for a two count and then
King with the half Nelson driver for a two count,
and then Evans super kicks King and then Evans connects

(33:53):
with They hold it in the row for pickup victory,
which is basically a twisting splash. He calls it hold
it in the Row, which I think is interesting. So
the winner of the match and goes on to the
Iron Survivor Challenge is Javon Evans. So we've got Javon
Evans and we've got Wes Lee so far in the

(34:14):
Iron Survivor Challenge. Then there's a there's a backstage interview
with Axiom and and Nathan Fraser or Phraxium, and Nathan
Fraser tells Axiom that he's asked able to put him
as a quality in a qualifying match for the Iron
Survivor Challenge, and Axiom gets pissed that he's not focusing

(34:38):
on the tag team titles, which they've had now and
again they're a thrown together tag team. They're great together,
don't get me wrong. But there, you know it's gonna
be great. You know it's gonna be great when the
two of them go against each other. That's what's gonna
be great. I can't wait to see that. Then the
next week they said next week on the nx TEA,

(35:00):
the Men's and Women's Survivor Challenges Qualifications match will continue.
And then we had the main event, main event, the
last night of the the last match of the night,
which was Fallon Henley and Fatal Influence was there as well,
versus Colonie Jordan for the w w E NXT North
American Women's Championship. At the end of the match, Jordan

(35:22):
drives Henley into the turmucles and Jordan Puttentley in the
top turnmucle. Jordan with the roundhouse kick hits the avalanche
splash Spanish Fly. Let me tell you, I love the
Spanish Fly, and so I feel like I feel like
it's been a long running around for a while, but
it's only recently that they've used it. More often the
Spanish fly. Whether it hurts or not, it's just the

(35:46):
optics are great. I love the Spanish fly anyway. Then
Henley avoids boys the four to fifty splash and hits
with a body body sitters roll up for a two count.
Jordan ducks a clothes line from Henley. Jordan with the
standout slam connects with the split legged moon salt for

(36:08):
a two count because jac Jean put fallon Henley's foot
on the rope. And by the way, if she hadn't
done that, Colonie Jordan would be a North American women's
champion again. So okay, So she put in front of

(36:30):
the rope. Jordan goes for the FA, goes for fatal influence,
and with that the O'Connor roll for the two count.
JC delivers the rolling elbow behind the referees back and
Henley connects with a famouser to pick up the victory.
I'll lah badass Billy gun. After the match with the
entire NXT tag So yeah. After the match, the entire

(36:53):
NXT Tag Team Division decided to come out and beat
the crap out of each other again. The NXT Tie
Team Division is lackluster and they could try to make
it as awesome as they want, it's not gonna work
as far as I'm concerned. That's just me. So anyway,

(37:16):
they went out of the match and still the NXT
North American Women's Champion was fallon Henley Pinfall. So overall
the show is pretty good. If I if I would
excuse me, if I was giving last week a ten
out of ten, I'd probably give this a seven, six,

(37:38):
six and a half seven out of ten. It can
all be winners, but this one, this one was okay.
Next week they're going to continue the Honor Survivor Challenge qualification,
so we look forward to that, and then also next
week we have the match between Andre Chase and Rich
Holland to see who goes against Trick Williams. And Okay, So,

(38:02):
originally was I was gonna be like, well, obviously Ridge
Holland's gonna win. I mean, they're kind of setting up
the whole thing. But then when he put Chase University
like on the line, I thought to myself, well, maybe
maybe Andrea Chase will win. I don't know, tell me
what your thoughts are about this, because I don't know.
I don't know. I'm not sure. If anything, you know,

(38:22):
they're gonna have to figure out what to do Chase University.
But then I guess on the flip side, the last
few weeks, Chase University really hasn't even existed, so I
have to see what happens. Anyway, don't forget about Patreon,

other and the Man Roster, it's it's it's shipping up

(39:07):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
