(01:41):
slash WWE podcast for all your ad free content and
much more. Okay, let's get to it. Let's start with
the emails and let's start with Let's start with K
from Toronto. K says a few observations. I really like
(02:01):
the Charlotte and Lexi team. The birthday segment was great.
Chelsea and her mob are gold in my books, thoroughly
entertaining to my response, I'd say yes, I generally have
liked the Charlotte and Lexi team. I have pointed out
several times now that they kind of need one another
(02:21):
right now Alexa Bliss or Alexi as they're just using
her real name now. They have really not been able
to lock her into some kind of story that we
care about. They've brought her back. There was a big reaction.
We thought she was going to join the WIAT six
she didn't and that's okay, she doesn't need to. The
Wye six have their own identity problem, and so Charlotte,
(02:44):
on the other hand, has been a heel that we
have booed forever and just hated every time she returned.
No matter how much time she took off, it didn't matter.
She has been the one exception to the golden rule
of even if you leave as a heel, you can
come back as a babyface. Charlotte is the one exception.
Somehow Charlotte has superseded that golden rule of life where
(03:05):
she takes eighteen months off two years off injury divorces.
You know, you'd think you'd have some sympathy, but through
the fans genuine dislike of her, WWE's constant presentation of
her as some kind of queen that again is not
relatable in any respect from a people. To get to
get us to respond in a favorable way, they have
not presented her very well to be able to do that.
(03:28):
Then you've got this perfect storm of fans don't care
even when you're back after two years. But they found
each other, and this past week was a little weird.
I did not enjoy their little celebration that they had
for Alexa's birthday. I know it was supposed to be comedic,
but it felt forced. The lines didn't land, it felt awkward,
(03:51):
and you know, they had an off night. But generally
I like it and I hope they continue with it.
Now you said you like the birthday segment. Again, I didn't.
But that's that's wrestling. That's you don't have to like
what I like, and I don't expect people to, and
it's more fun when people don't. But Chelsea's group, I
would agree Chelsea's group has been has been useful for
(04:15):
all members involved, and sure that Chelsea has secret service
that that makes sense. With her character, she's still the
butt of a joke, but she's able to do it
in a charming way that people don't hate Chelsea. They
still love her even in a heel role, which I
guess it's kind of contradictory that you're not a heel
to begin with if people are cheering you. But it's
(04:35):
it's a fun dynamic that Chelsea's got. She's got, she's
onto something and I wouldn't touch what she's doing. I
wouldn't for the time being.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Anyway.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Next point, I truly think Drew needs a title run soon.
He's great and in and out of the ring. You're
preaching to the choir. My friend Drew has needed some
kind of major title run or either I don't know
if need. He doesn't need it, He's doing fine without it.
I would say deserve and that means to me he's
(05:06):
earned that, not that he is entitled to it. I
think Drew has absolutely earned a major title run. He
is and has been one of the pillars of the
company for many years. He carried the company through the
COVID Era. Sadly, he first won his title during the
COVID Era with absolutely nobody around, which I genuinely feel
(05:27):
for the guy on that. I've said that for five
years now. But Drew has not yet had that major
title run as a heel since he turned. Since he
turned to this truth telling heel, which has been by
far the best version of him, he has not had
a run and he needs one. Rather sorry again, he
(05:48):
deserves one. He deserves one. Naomi Injury. Don't think this
is a work. I'm glad you brought that up. Okay
from Toronto, which, by the way, I need to go
see to I need to go to two Toronto I've
heard nothing but good things about Toronto, from the people,
to the culture there, to the amount of things you
can do, from food to restaurants and bars and entertainment
(06:12):
and sight seeing. I mean, I just I need to
go see Toronto. I've every time I talk to somebody
that has gone to Toronto, they have nothing but good
things to say. And I'm not blowing smoke up your backside.
That's just what I've been observing from talking to people
about it. So ye, maybe I will venture that way someday,
but I'm glad. Beyond the fact of my weird desire
(06:36):
to go to Toronto, there is something going on with
Naomi and this is not normal.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
They canceled the match with the Oo Sky Unraw that
was supposed to take place, and that is not something
they would do lightly, especially that they in advance promoted
this match. So something happened between SmackDown and Raw the
last week when they promoted the match didn't happen. Something happened,
(07:04):
all right, And as I do some research here, there
is such a so little about what's going on with Naomi.
I don't know what it is. No one knows. There's
a lot of speculation anything from a severe injury they
weren't aware of to she's pregnant. I've heard everything in between.
So this is according to in a day ago from
(07:26):
Sports Illustrated. Okay, so I'm not blowing this out of
some clickbait site. So this is what they say, and
I'm not going to do story time, but just kind
of give you the high points here. The article says,
why was Naomi held out of action on this week's Raw?
It was another action packed show.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Okay, now me.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
It was set to defend her championship against EO Sky,
but WWE announced on social media that Naomi had not
been cleared to compete, and the tweet on x from
the official WWE account said, quote breaking news, Naomi is
not medically cleared to compete and therefore her scheduled match
against EO will not take place on Monday Night Raw.
(08:06):
So instead, EO Sky lost to Roxane Perez, which eventually
led to a backstage exchange between Sky and Oscar and
Kyrie that we all saw. But the question is what
is the reason. This is a continuing the article it says,
according to fight Full select details regarding Naomi being out
of action, were kept very quiet backstage and that talent
(08:28):
quote didn't even know what happened with her for WWE
to pull the match. However, the report states that Naomi
was still backstage despite not appearing on screen. WWE sources
were also reportedly happy with the replacement match between Sky
and Perez. There is no right now, there's no return table,
but return timetable. However, the article does say, and this
(08:50):
is the last thing I'll mention on the article, that
Naomi is currently still scheduled to defend the Women's World
Championship against Stephanie viccor on Stephanie or I'm sorry on
August thirty first, at Clash in Paris. So right now
that match is still on. And I guess that would
if that was the case, then if she was pregnant,
(09:12):
well then you know, they would have canceled the match
already and they would have already started to look for
a suitable opponent and vacate the title for Stephanie, who
you know, earned the title match. So I don't think
that it's pregnancy. It's probably my best guess is a concussion.
She suffered a concussion somewhere somehow that we didn't know.
(09:34):
She didn't know, and management became aware of it, and
they have concussion protocol that they take very seriously, and
they kept her out of action. That's my best guess
because if it was the other option of her having
a serious injury, well then you would have again already
vacated the title and she wouldn't be backstage. They would
have had her, you know, be at a doctor's office
(09:57):
getting an MRI and getting a ready for surgery if
it was something serious, so she wouldn't be just lounging backstage.
So that's my guess. Is it is a concussion or
it is some other minor injury that they didn't feel
that they needed to risk her getting it potential more
serious injury. Maybe she has a sprained ankle, shoulder, some joint.
(10:19):
It's always the joint, So that's my guess, but of
course that's my speculation. All Right, we then can go
to the next point here. I think the Vision are great,
especially bron Breaker Total Destruction. I would agree. By the way,
as I've said, the Vision is a great name. That
The Vision is a very fun name. It's it's concise,
(10:42):
it fits with seth Rawlins's character and everything he's been
presenting the last five, six, seven years with this, Yeah,
since he more from the Monday Night Messiah into the visionary,
the revolutionary. Yeah, all the rest. This makes sense and
I have I'm loving everything that they have done so far.
I really am. Lastly, Americano nonsense is getting along in
(11:04):
the tooth in silly time to stop. Thank you, keep
up the good work.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Go Jay's go.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Well.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Yeah, to speak on baseball, I think you guys have
probably locked up the Al East. We are sadly hanging
on with barely by a thread, hanging on to the
third wild card, and we can't get out of our
own way. We have, I mean, just completely fallen apart.
You guys seem to be the real deal. It's possible
(11:30):
we meet in the playoffs. Depends on the wild card
situation and if you guys are able to hang on
to it, I know the Red Sox are the real
deal too. The Red Sox have a wild card spot
as well. This could be a very much heavy Al
East playoff scenario this coming October, so it's gonna be fun.
I just hope that as a Yankees fan, we could
even make it in We are just barely hanging on.
(11:52):
But I know there's a lot of MET fans that
listen to this too, and you got you Met fans
are also in the same boat. You guys are barely
hanging on as well, but you have a better chain.
It's like being a division winner than we do. All right,
So the Americano stuff I'm finding it is it's that's
the purpose. It's supposed to be silly. It's supposed to
be a little comedic relief, not to be taken too seriously.
(12:14):
And the show does need something like that. There's always
a spot in the show, in a wrestling show for
a little bit of lighthearted, try not try too hard comedy,
a bit of as Vince McMahon would say, let me
up moments. And Americano is not a bathroom break, but
it's kind of one that again you don't have to
be dialed into. You can just take it for what
it is, which is as silly as you said, little segment. Now,
(12:38):
even these silly segments can more than run their course.
We saw that with the twenty four to seven title.
The twenty four seven title that I mean it overstated
it's welcome by about eighteen months. The twenty four seven
title that it was hilarious to begin with, with how
many places that the title would change hands and the
scenarios in which it would take change hands, and it
was entertaining for a little while, and then it just
(13:01):
became not funny at all and ridiculous and cartoonish. So
is the Americano debacle at that point?
Speaker 5 (13:08):
Yet?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I don't think so is it something I really pay
attention to or laugh at, Not particularly. I mean, I
just do it so I know what's going on for
the purposes of this show, and I don't sound stupid,
but I'm not particularly interested in this. I know that
some people are trying to decipher the identity of all
three Americanos, from Chad Gable to Ludwig Kaiser and whoever else,
(13:31):
But is it time to stop? You can make a
case for it again. I don't feel strongly, but I
understand the purpose of these kinds of segments within the
context of a wrestling show. So that's kind of how
I look at it. Thanks, Kay, enjoy Toronto. Let's talk
to DJ. He says it has been official that after
(13:53):
August tenth has come and gone, carrying Cross and his
wife Scarlet are no longer with WWE, there are so
many what could have been and most likely scenarios of
Cross and Scarlett were given a prominent, consistent role. I'm
not surprised this happened to him, even though there was
an organic push for Cross, mostly online with the we
want Cross hashtag. In my opinion, this second run of
Cross in Scarlett and WWE could have been what I
(14:15):
imagined he was in NXT, and that was for him
to be a main event guy and become world Champion
on the main roster, but it was not the case. However,
now that he and Scarlet are no longer in WWE,
it's just a matter of when they will make their
first appearance outside the ring in another promotion after when
their ninety day non compete clause expires. Well Ariel Helwani
(14:38):
Heswani Hawani. He did an interview with Carrying Cross, which
I didn't see all of yet, but he did a
interview that was pretty I mean, it was pretty expansive.
It allowed you to see into what's going on and
from what I understand, again, I really only saw the
first twenty minutes. It's an hour long, but he gets
right to the point and he talks about how this.
(14:58):
First of all, he's got a book out WWE held
up for a couple of years, and he wasn't happy
about that, but he said, essentially, they gave him a
twenty four hour window. They gave him a contract last
second and then said you have twenty four hours to
sign this or we are rescinding the offer, and they
gave him a number which we don't obviously know. I
never will know the number of his contract value is,
(15:20):
and I don't know the term. We don't know those details,
because that's beside the point. The point was that Carrying
Cross said to WWE, Hey, yeah, I can't make an
informed decision on this because number one, twenty four hours
is not enough time to make an informed decision on
a life changing signature that if I put on this
paper will happen. Also, how can you tell me? Can
(15:42):
you tell me how you came up with the figure
on this contract that you did and they would not
provide that to him, which is totally ridiculous. And he said,
it's more than a reasonable to ask for that, and
I absolutely agree if you are going to value a
talent at X amount of dollars, and the talent says, hey,
how did you arrive at this I need to understand
how you so we can come to an agreement or not,
and you don't provide that. That's a bit disrespectful on
(16:04):
the part of the company, not of the part of
carrying a cross. He had more than a reasonable request.
On top of the fact that WWE gave him one
day at the end of his contract, the very last
day to decide. It was very much a pressure pack
situation to try to get him to just sign or
just were out, which tells you that they don't value
carrying cross. So do I think he'll be returned to
(16:26):
tow WWE at some point in his life. Yes, I do,
even he said he still wants to return, but right
now the company has there's just been kind of little contact.
He's not on bad terms, it's just they actually did
rescind the offer because he didn't make a decision. They
rescinded the offer and then that was it. He hasn't
heard anything since, so that's where it's left. Of course,
(16:49):
things could have changed since this interview droped with Ariel,
but I would encourage everybody to go listen to it.
It is also not a work I had speculated others
had as well because of the seth Rolind feigned injury
that this is a potential storyline that Carrying Cross is
trying to start, and this is actually something that's real
but or not real, but they're trying to make it
(17:09):
look real.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
It's not.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
It is not a work and we got that straight
from the straight from Carrying himself. So yeah, I mean,
we'll see what happens. WWE continues to deliver more ples
as part of TKO's revenue generating strategy to stay out
of financial trouble. It was recently reported that the company
plans to bring back Bad Blood for a second consecutive year,
(17:33):
but this time, instead of it's being scheduled for October,
it's now September twenty eighth, at around the same time
that aw will be having their annual pl or pay
per view all out. With all the changes that have
taken place since the merger, do you think that at
times that at times that WWE is trying to cater
more to the mainstream audience with higher incomes when it
(17:54):
comes to ticket prices of the pls and then recently
the announcement of WWE partnering with esp to put the
ples on the espn ZU streaming platform. Not sure what
you mean, but I can just come to the answer regardless.
They're trying to make the most money they can.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
They are trying to make the most money they can,
going to the outer boundaries of what they think fans
will pay, maybe even crossing over a little to recalibrate
in fans' minds how much they should expect to pay
to go to a live event, especially a televise one
much less a pl E and the amount of pls
(18:32):
we're seeing are ridiculous. They are ridiculous, But it is
clearly coming at the motivation of WWE just trying to
make the most money they can. The hell with the
stories and letting things build and boil. Every two weeks
we're having a pl E. It feels like if you
go three weeks or more, it's like, what's going on?
(18:56):
I really just I mean, I understand their need to
make money. That's what they're in business for. Otherwise they
wouldn't be in business. But there does come a point
of regression there. You know, there's a there's a there's
a law of diminishing return that does exist here and
WWE I think is getting to that point of just
too many fing pls. So all right, let's let's go
(19:22):
to the next point here. I understand that as consumers
of the product, we could choose whether or not to
watch WWE, even though there are all alternative choices, But
at the end of the day, I'm a loyal ww fan.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
All right.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
One thing I want to mention. It seems like if
you say his name, he'll appear. And I'm not talking
about Joe Henry. I'm talking about Our Truth because apparently
it seems like WWE heard last on last week's episode
of the Mailbag where I mentioned what happened to Truth,
Apparently he's back after being seen in a backstage segment
with a baby face John Cena. Now I'm confused because
a couple of weeks ago, Our Truth was portraying Ron
(20:00):
Killings with the Me against the World persona, and then
all of a sudden in this week's Raw, he was
back to being Our Truth. My issue with this is,
why did WWE push the Ron Killings character only to
have it flopped after he's brief viewed with John Cena.
Doesn't make any sense, No, it doesn't. It doesn't make
any sense. I have no problem with Our Truth being
(20:22):
brought back. I agree with the decision. But what made
fans feel that way was the connection they had to
the existing character, not a character that they wish he
was so that when he gets brought back, he suddenly
cuts his hair off and becomes Me against the World.
Ron Killings. That's not the guy we know and love.
(20:46):
As far as a character, the person Ron Killings is
a genuinely good guy at least from what I see.
But the character on air the kind of aloof the
aloof comedic but good in the ring and just a
genuinely funny guy on the mic. That is the guy
(21:07):
that we wanted back and we got back, but we didn't.
And I hope that this is just a blip on
the radar for Ron Killings as far as just you know,
they're just gonna go back to being our Truth. I mean,
just just give us our truth to me against the
World thing. No, No, I why I don't get that either.
(21:32):
I don't get that either. So hopefully this is a correction,
It's a correct course for really both John Cena and
Our Truth were they just said, yeah, John Cena needs
to go back to being a Babyface and our Ron
Killings needs to go back to just being our truth.
I mean they both kind of at the same time.
Corrected course, hopefully for for Ron Killings, I do I need.
(21:56):
I can't have Ron Killings be that guy. It it's
not a bad character, but it's not the one, certainly
not the one that we wanted or asked for it anyway.
All right, so let's go to our voicemail and let's
see who it is and we'll then close things out.
(22:17):
I think we got a couple, so let's do it.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
This is DJ coolesmel Back. Add it again on your mail,
Max Show Records. You live on a Wednesday Board, and
you know what time it is. It's time to see
his name. Man, hepeers.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I believe in Joe Hendry. I believe in Joe Hendry.
Speaker 5 (22:36):
That's right, folks, Joe Hendry is his name. As I
take it to my fifty seven episode of the Georgia Board,
L like always come into a live from an undisclosal case.
We're just a couple of days away to Teena's next
live event, which is called tena Emergence that'll be happening
Friday this Friday, August fifteenth live from Baltimore, Maryland, and
so far we have seven matches on the card. One
(22:57):
of the matches is for the TNA World Championship in
the midle of it of Trick Williams versus Moose. But
the question is will Joe Hendry have a match for
this card? Let see what happens as we're just a
couple of days away to TEENA emergence. But now let's
take it to a TV taping of ten Prossing from
last week, in which we had in the main event
for the first time ever, Joe Hendry versus Mustafali and
(23:18):
of course Mustafai's group the Order Four were at ringside.
This match lasted fourteen minutes and fifty one seconds. But
as we fast forward to the course of this match,
after when Joe Hendri delivered a cutter to Ali in
the middle of the ring, Henry proceeds to deliver his
standing ovation choke slam. Hendri goes for the cover, but
before the referee could get to the third count for
Joe Henry, Tasha Steles of the Order Four pulls the
(23:42):
referee's left leg, sending the referee face first onto the
ring side floor and so far we don't have a referee.
Hendry then has a brief stare down with Tasha Steeles,
but then from behind we get the tag team the
Great Hands, which of course they're aligned with Mustafa Ali.
They come and double team Joe Hendri to beat down,
setting up Ali to deliver the four fifty splash on
(24:04):
Joe Henry, but Joe Henry moves out the way and
then Henri sends Ali face first into the middle, turn broke. Joe.
Hendry then delivers a pop up power bomb to Ali,
followed by an attitude adjustment to Ali. That's right, folks,
the AA he delivers to Boustaf Ali. Henri goes for
the cover but there's no referee. But however, we do
(24:26):
get a second referee to come in very quickly, but
then Ali kicks out at two. Henri tries to set
up another standing ovation chokes slam to Ali, but Tasha
steals grabs Henri's right leg. Hendri and the referee get distracted,
and then all of a sudden, here is where we
get to the tail end of the match. Hendri turns
(24:46):
to Ali, but Ali tosses him between the ropes. Henri
gets dazed and confals and tumbles outside of the ring,
but then all of a sudden, Agent zero of Mustafa
Ali's group delivers a massive boot Joe Hendry's face, setting
him spiraling. Agent zero dead proceeds to shove Joe Henry
(25:06):
back into the ring, setting up Ali for yet another
four to fifty splash, A beautiful four fifty splash on
Joe Hendry and one two three, and yet again Joe
Hendry loses as Mustafa Ali gets the victory in this match.
Will this be a one off? Will we have a
continuation of this match of Joe Hendry versus Musafali? Most
(25:30):
likely maybe at teen AE Emergence. Let's see what happens.
But I gotta say this is the third straight loss
for Joe Hendry, after of course losing at teen AE Slammiversary. Then,
of course he lost a couple of weeks ago to
mister Mike Santana. Now we're here yet again with another
loss for Joe Henry. However, this past Saturday, August ninth,
(25:54):
somebody said his name and he appeared. Joe Hendry made
an appearance at an NXT live event in Venice Beach, Florida,
and this surprise appearance was courtesy of Brooks Jensen, as
apparently Brooks Jensen and his promo said his name. We
get a brief beatdown of Joe Hendry to Brooks Jensen
(26:16):
and then afterward this is where we get a very
interesting news about where Joe Henry is going in terms
of NXT. After that, Joe Hendry mentions that he'll be
moving to NXT and that yes, he is in his
contract year. But now you're going to see more appearances
of Joe Hendry on NXT. Looking at this, Joe Hendry
(26:37):
is not officially signed to WWE Slash NXT, as he
is still you know, finishing up the remaining months of
his contract with TNA. Now with that being said, let's
see what happens as we get to see more appearances
of Joe Hendry on NXT. And speaking of NXT, he
did have a match against none other than Charles Denzy
on the next episode of NXT, and let's get to
(27:00):
that match, folks, of Joe Henry versus Charles Dempsey. This
match lasted three minutes and fifty six seconds. But prior
to the match, to promote this very match, there was
a video on social media of Ren Sinclair and Charles
Denscy with Joe Hendry as Joe Henry appeared in random
places in the ww Performance Center every time someone said
his name. However, as we fast forward to the course
(27:21):
of this match, after when Joe Hendry delivered a fallaway
slam to Charles Dempsey, Hendry did his usual kip up
and spin for the camera. Hendry then proceeds to deliver
the standing Ovation choke slam, but Dempsey blocks it. Dempsey
then goes for a backslide pin ben Hendry kicks out
at too. Henry then attempts to counter into a backslide
of his own on Charles Dempsey, but Hendry quickly switches
(27:42):
to the standing Ovation choke slam and one, two three,
Joe Henry gets a victory to finally end this three
match losing streak. Let's see what happens next for Joe
Hendry as to continue on NXT and TNA Olways Rebert
to believe say his name, always remember the words that
Joe Hendry says anytime, any place, at any show, and
most simplely, most simporly, ohways, remember to do.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
This sight.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Well.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Believe once again, this is your guy. DJ Coolsbo have
a blessed week, be kui to one of those stays
in my friends believe a peace.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
DJ.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Thank you, my friend, for keeping us abreast of what
is going on with Joe Hendry. Sounds like he's still
busy over there in TNA and a little bit of
NXT and still crawling his way, crawling his way to
the main roster that we're all anticipating and awaiting. I
do wonder by the time he gets here if his
steam will have kind of fizzled a bit. The reaction
(28:49):
he got in WrestleMania would say otherwise. But he's done
his kind of pop in and outs. I'm ready for
him to just appear. Is there a way that we
can just say his name in a special way where
he'll permanently stay. Uh, But I think this is still
it's good, it's time for it's a good place for
him to still continue to grow and figure out, you know,
maybe some things he wants to add to his persona
(29:09):
or his move set. But yeah, I mean there's really
no risk where he is at now. I mean, he's
in a very comfortable place. He's a big fish in
a small pond, and it's nice to see that he's
still doing well. For those of us that aren't following
the Joe Hendry story, I guess if you are here
then that may be the extent of it if you're
not actually watching it. So thank you, mister DJ Cuzmo. Okay,
(29:33):
let's continue.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
He's craffo Paul Tomarso and it's hard about the stiff
to have it. On Monday with the women's division, started
with Naomi I think you know, I don't know. I
think Naomi's doing a podcast with Stephanie and she'll be
doing that. They'll explain a lot. People are say lad
In that she's pregnant, and if so, I don't know
why she ever whatever won the briefcase. If the company
(29:56):
knew she had advertis to become a mothers that really
a well known secret. He's been talking about it. If
you wouldn't saying that she has operations to become another So,
I don't know why she wanted to briefcase. I was
gave given the briefcase to Rocks Fan ultimately or even
Stephanie at the time, or yeah, definitely gives her too,
rox Fan, you know, and then played the first from
that to them, with Luke attaching championships and have rox
(30:17):
Scan cash in you know on EO or and and
or Rhea and then fine and then what and then
they could have gone from there, I would think, So
what they do now? I think if she's they'd have
a really reallygsted championship. If so, then it could be
it was probably like a mini tournament in the water
in the winner of that Natural Faith Stephanie and Class
(30:40):
in Paris for those in those two two episodes of
Raw Pop. Possibly, so, I don't know, So that's that's
an option. So but then when it comes to Asca,
it kind of restained mainly Asca take her turning heel
was going to happen slowly, but they rushed here because
of the of the of the Naomi situ. So ultimately
(31:03):
they don't no one else to blame but themselves have
given the brief kids, and they only knowing her situation,
you know, for knowing her person formally, they knew that
she had aspirations to become a parent, So why did
get her the briefcase? Looking back on it, they shouldn't
have done that, but it is what it is. Maybe
they'll do as a top of mini tournament heading into
(31:24):
class of Paris, and in wonder if, like I said
in winner of that will face Stephanie and class at Paris.
That's my only guests day of how they can handle that. Possibly,
but that's it, and then it can go on from
there for a storyline or a He'll turn whoever is
going to be. But that's what they's want to call by.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Kyle. Yeah, that's certainly a possibility. I mean, the scenario
you're laid out is on the table. I would say
though that we don't know if Naomi's coming back, and
if meaning if she does, we're all just pretending that
maybe they're going to vacate it and like you said,
start a tournament and have this that turn and Oscar
turn Oscar. As I've said here on the show too,
Osca has turned so many times I don't even know.
(32:08):
I have to remember when I see Oscar. Are they
trying to portray her as a heel or a baby face?
Because they've changed her her role so many times over
the years, I can't keep track. And the thing is
compliment to her. She does a great job at both,
so you never kind of know right now she's a
baby face. But based on the teas we saw on
Raw with the tension between the women and the shoving
and all that, it's very possible that this is another
(32:30):
turn for Oscar, which again doesn't mean much because no
one's shocked when Oscar turns. However, if Naomi is going
to keep the championship, and right now she has not
been stripped, WWE has not made any other further announcements,
this could simply not be a pregnancy, or it may
not be a serious injury, could have just been something,
as I said, concussion and related. She's out for a
week or two and they're gonna bring her back and
(32:50):
she'll be ready for clash in Paris with her match
against Stephanie viccor That's a real possibility. Again, if it
was something serious pregnancy or injury related that would keep
her out, they would have already taken the belt off
of her and started a tournament. They would have announced
it on social media, followed up with some announcers talking
about it on Monday Night Raw, and then we'd be off,
(33:13):
and that would be really detrimental to Naomi. Again, if
she wants to be a mom, great being a mother
I think is supersedes becoming a champion in WWE. That's
my own personal take. But if she is going to
stay or not stay rather something is seriously wrong than
I feel for her because she's on a hell of
a run. She deserves that championship. It's been a long
(33:35):
time coming. She's found a character that fits her and
the audience has connected with and I was hopeful for
this run and she's just getting started now. There's no
chance that Stephanie I shouldn't say no, very little chance
that Stephanie Viccor wins the title at Clash in Paris.
It's not zero. She's one of the top prospects in
the company right now. She's one of the blue chippers,
(33:56):
if you will. She's one of the up and comers,
one of the new, latest brand, latest breed of NXT
women to come up, and she's leading the pack on
that latest wave coming in. But right now, Naomi is
still in the prime of her career. She's finally found
herself and I don't think they are ready to take
(34:17):
the belt off of her. So hopefully this is nothing serious.
Hopefully from a selfish fan perspective, it's not pregnancy, it's
not a serious injury that's going to keep her out
and again, if it was either of those things, you
would think by now they would do go, oh yeah,
well we should probably let the fans know and start
moving on with the tournament or a Battle Royal, whatever
(34:37):
they want to do. So all righty, well, thank you
everybody again. Abbreviated show today for sure thirty five minutes
as I record this, so thank you for joining me here.
I hope everybody enjoys their weekend. I'll be back on
Sunday for your week in review. Tomorrow, of course, is
going to be your SmackDown review with Amanda from the
UK who does it every single week. You can check
(35:00):
that out tomorrow usually mid morning or so it's up,
and then Sunday is the weekend review. I've been doing
a lot of nostalgia posts lately because I kind of
miss a lot of those shows. I mean, former hosts
I haven't talked to in a while, and a lot
of those shows are long. I've been posting the longer
shows to show you, hey, we have done longer audio before,
and some of them are over two hours, some of
(35:21):
them two and a half hours. It's just wild with
all the former co hosts we've had come through the show,
so take a listen if you haven't already some of them.
If you see the WWE rewind, or you see the
five years ago, four years ago, three years ago, those
are obviously the ones that I'm talking about, and I've
posted them over the last couple weeks. I encourage you
(35:42):
to take a listen and just put it on in
the background, put your headphones on, do what you gotta do.
That's the way you kind of listen to those. So
all right, everybody, thank you for joining us here on
this Friday. I hope you're all enjoying this day and
have a good weekend. We'll be talking again Sunday night.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
Take care.
