WWE podcast show.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
The one that everybody wants me. I'll stro sixteen. So
guys just just rest your ass. This is mind.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
You can acknowledge me.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
What is going on everybody, and welcome to this week's
SmackDown Review. As you can tell by my voice it
is someone different. I am Daniel, host of the Main
Event Review from Melbourne, Australia. Again, thank you very much
for for tuning into this week's episode. I'm going to
be filling in for the next couple of weeks while
Amanda's away and yeah, super keen to get this out
(00:55):
for you guys as well. When if you haven't heard
me before, I haven't heard the Main Event Review, sure
to check that out as well. I put out episodes
every single Tuesday for you guys Monday nights here in Australia,
breaking down basically the matches that happen on Main Event
as well as some raw and SmackDown segments at times
that come up on the Main Event show and when
(01:16):
there is a PLLY. I also review and preview the
pl matches as well, so you can find me every
week on there and if it is your first time
listening to my voice and accent, again, thank you very
much and I really hope you do enjoy the next
three weeks with me as well. I also do have
my own podcast which is called The Huddle Within Podcast.
(01:37):
You can follow me on all platforms as well. I
do my own stuff on WWE, but I also talk
about a variety of different sporting topics as well, so
be sure to check out my work there on the
Huddle Within as well. May leave a description on this
episode too, but again once again refused for another three
weeks to break Down SmackDown in an episode that yeah,
(02:00):
I guess with a standard episode. We had the final
between Gunther and l a Night, which we'll get to obviously,
the match between Charlotte and Alexa Bliss and Kyrie saying
as well, lots of stuff going on in the women's
tag team division. I remember last year when Jay Cargule
and Biancabella had it, there was nothing going on, and
(02:21):
now it seems like all the women's tag teams that
are jumping in for the title. You could you could
make a case that it's it's probably just as competitive
as the men's division. Speaking of the Men's Tag Team
division on SmackDown. Will also be talking about Solo and
the White at six, So lots of breakdown on this episode.
But we will look no further than the start of
the episode where we had Drew McIntyre coming in in
(02:45):
his car to SmackDown and obviously still being suspended. They
haven't forgot that Drew McIntire was suspended. Somehow Paul Hayman
has managed to pull the strings for him to stay unsuspended.
But as Drew was about to leave and he had
that sort of chat with Nick Oldis telling him to
go back and leave, he only left because he wanted
(03:07):
the security guys to come home to their families, which
I found quite funny. But that's when we saw Cody
Rhoads in the passenger seat grabbing Drew's face, and yeah,
as the security guys were trying to pull Cody Rhoads off,
Drew drove away. I was telling Cody to basically calm down.
So if there are any signs of Cody Rhoads turning heel.
(03:28):
These are the teasers that I've been talking about on
my main event, but also here where we have him
attacking Drew McIntire while he's not looking. But you also
look back to a few months or a few weeks ago,
or maybe been a month now, when Cody Rhodes hit
Drew McIntyre with the title and no one said nothing
about it, and we still have that mystery of who
attacked Jay Gifattu. So all these little hints leading to
(03:52):
potentially a Cody Rhodes he'll turn anyway, but that hasn't
happened yet. He makes his way in to the to
the entrance in his tracksuits, doesn't even do the pose.
He obviously looked very upset, basically called out Nick oldest
to reinstate Drew McIntyre and said that Drew came into
(04:13):
Cody's home away from home, where his bus, where his
wife sleeps and his kids play. I don't know where
his kids have the room to play in that bus,
but I guess Drew McIntire going into his bus crossed
the line from Cody Rhodes, not the other stuff he's
done or other people have done. But anyway, he called
Drew McIntyre WWE's residents cockroach, which was nice, and he
(04:36):
also said that Drew's never beaten him, but he may
be the only one to break Cody again because he
went into his bus and again he begged Nick Oldest
to reinstate Drew so he can squash or stump the
cockroach out and then he just left. So he's obviously
very angry. All business, we're looking to continue this program.
I think Drew McIntyre is doing a great job in
(04:57):
making the ww Championship relevant with Cody Rhodes, but when
it comes to this, it's it's the same thing with
what happened with Kevin Owens last year. I think is
just building up for the time being, to pass the
time until the road to WrestleMania. So I think Drew
McIntire's going to get screwed over once again. That guy
deserves a title, Let's be honest. He's he'll run. The
(05:19):
last two or three years has been amazing. He's been
he's really good when it comes to feuds with baby faces,
and yeah, I don't think he's going to get his
flowers for this one, unfortunately. But then we go to
backstage where Tamasa Champa was with John Gagana and Cannas.
The Raygana still has Axiom's mask, which is quite interesting,
(05:40):
but Champa said that he was going to go for
the US title. Kamala Hayes walked by and said that
he's going to go for it, called him a jackass,
which everyone seems to be calling Champa jack Guards at
the moment, and essentially that basically teased what was going
to happen next, and that was ill on the Dragonoff
actually taking on Kamalo Hayes for the title as well.
(06:04):
But before that, we did have a video basically talking
about how Alistair Black delayed the Inevitable and that's where
he introduced Reripley. So Ripley is obviously going to be
involved in helping Damian Priest. Not Lola Ice, who they
seem to have a romantic relationship, is not going to
be involved in this one. That would have been a
(06:25):
cool way to sort of introduce her into the fold,
especially with main event coming up and all the NXT
stars that are going to be competing there. It is
real Ripley. It does sort of make sense since they
are the Terror Twins, but I feel as though rip
Ripley has just been pulled into this storyline on SmackDown
on the side. But this essentially basically leads up to
(06:45):
what's going to be happening next week, and that is
Alistair Black and Alina Vega taking on Rear Ripley, where
we have a bit of video promos, just hasn't gone live,
which I think needed to, but I don't think it's
a big enough feud for people to care, So that's
why they're doing this backstage. And basically Rhea said to
Zelena that she thought she could end up get under
the Priest's skin, but all she's done is sign her
(07:06):
death wish. So Rea Ripley basically said that next week
it's going to be that mixed tag team match as
I mentioned, and basically she'll find out why I once
devives the Terror Twins. So it's cool to see this
reunion because it was really cool when they were fighting
the Judgment day. But I think this is definitely going
to be a one off thing. Do I expect Rare
Ripley and Damien Priest to win. I do, But at
(07:29):
the same time, I don't really know where this few
sort of finishes and what the payoff is going to be,
because I feel like the final payoff was when Damien
Priest lit the Flyer in the street in the Last
Man standing match I think against him where Zelena Vega
came and distracted. So I don't know. It's dragged on
for a while, but it hasn't gone to like live promos.
It's all been video packages, so take that as you will.
(07:51):
I've spoke to on Damien Priest last week because he
was on the main event, and I feel like the
drop off for him has been quite crazy overall. Anyway,
the fact that he's unable to really even go near
the titles and just be on main event is still
crazy as well. And you'd think that they would push
him highly after the fact that he did beat Drew
McIntyre in that steel cage match hitting the concerto if
(08:14):
you recall to now really just struggling to get any
main airtime on TV. Like I feel like they're just
giving him this feud because he is done so well,
but not really taking it further for him. So and
I don't see that changing given the star started lineup
we've got and all the things that are going on
at the moment too. So yeah, it's sad for any
(08:34):
Damien Priest fans. I'm a big fan of him. I
think he's done some great work, but there's no real
I think career for him or road at the moment. Unfortunately,
hopefully that does change. We then get to the United
States Championship match between Ilia Dragonov and Kamala Hayes. They've
had some great matches in an XT, They've had a
really good history between each other. This match was quite solid.
(08:58):
I would have to say the way it sort of
ended was, if I look at my sort of notes here,
we had Malo hitting a DDT on the apron that
sent Ilia into the barricade, went up top. Jamastera chamber
then showed up obviously and croach Mallow up to the
top and threw him off the turnbuckle. Fans weren't happy.
(09:22):
The referee looked at Ilia so he didn't actually see this,
and that's when Ilia Dragonoff hit the Torpedo Moscow then
the h Bomb to get the win as well, and
you could see Chumper hiding in the barricade and laughing
about it, and you also did see sort of after
when Dragonov saw the replay, he was very angry with
the fact that Champer did get involved in the match too,
(09:44):
So that kind of, I guess ruined what was a
really good match, But it was perfect because obviously Champ
has been around wanting to face Ilia Dragonov for so long,
so it was really good and it went quite long.
It was about seventeen to twenty minutes as well, and
it could have gone either way. Like Mallow, you could
make it a case that he could have really won the match,
(10:06):
and they're looking to push Mallow a bit more, which
is nice to see. I eventually will see him with
the United States title, but not now. I think Dragonof
is doing a great job, and it feels like he
would make sense to sort of battle we obviously seeing
and I'll go to sort of the backstage Tamatonga eyeing
(10:26):
out the title as well, and this obviously led to
after the match basically Dragonov saying that he wants to
challenge Tomaso Champer, so let's see what happens next week.
I kind of like the United States Open challenge. I
feel like it's just given the title some credibility back
and Ilia Drona Guanov is being a great fighting champion,
(10:46):
so I've got nothing against that. I'm just waiting for
an opponent that you think that will potentially win, and
they're leading that up with Tamatonga. But let's see, because
do we really think Tamatonga can win the title, especially
with Solo being the leader. I don't know, but they
continue to sort of tease that as well. We then
(11:06):
had alex Obliss and Charlotte Flair backstage where they were
interviewed by Kathy Cally, basically Flair saying that she joined
Survivor series because alex Oblisz needed her and she'd be
lost without her. She also said that wargames is good
for Charlotte's social skills. That's what alex Oblis said. Now
their bond has gotten stronger, but their main goal is
(11:27):
to obviously fight and get back those tag team championships,
so it doesn't really matter about the all the allies
and everything. So yeah, that led to obviously the match
that we're about to get as well. We then had
l A. Knight that was interviewed backstage. I can't wait
to talk about l A Night and how much he's
been getting screwed over this year, but he mentioned that
beating John Cena Samensi's legacy, he said that the last
(11:50):
time is now for him or Gantha, and I also
mentioned that Guantha is a four month Continental and World champion,
but tonight is going to be a fight and bust
out or all right, which was a nice little premo
mic and he'll drop gun through in his head with
a nice promo. So Aleni continues to be really really
good on the mic and showcase his skills there, which
(12:12):
is awesome. But again he's getting getting screwed over all years.
So yeah, we know the result, but like again, that
was the nice little promo to build up the match too.
We then have the match between Kyrie Saying and Alexa
Bliss obviously joined by Charlotte Flair and Kyrie Saying joined
by Asca. Essentially, the way the match won was that
(12:37):
Saye went to the top rope first, so Alexa Bliss
did win this match with the sister Abigail DVT. But
how it sort of ended was that Sane went up
to the top rope, Bliss went after her set up,
Saying said, I Bliss for the upside down against that
turn Buckle hit a double footstop and then Bliss came
back with a few punches and then a drop kick.
She also hit the natural selection netbreaker. Then Aska tried
(13:01):
to distract her on the aprons, so Bliss rolled up saying,
and then as Flair tripped up Oscar and kicked Oscar down,
that's where I'm saying he ended up hitting a backfist
on Bliss, tried to go up to the top rope
and hit Bliss, and that's where she caught her with
the sister Abigail to win in a match that went
for about eight minutes as well. But the main thing
(13:23):
that happened after the match was that Naya Jackson lash
Legend attacked Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. That that forum
from from lash Legend is amazing, like that, that's such power,
and obviously she's like new and normally people really know
much about her, but she's looking like a real dominant force,
and I could really see like I'm getting more from
(13:46):
lash Legend than I've ever had from Jade Cargo and
the way they're hyping up Jade Cargle, We're getting more
from from lash Legend, and just seeing her power, it's
just amazing. She's obviously much better in a ring, and
she has the same sort of physical traits as Jay Cargill,
so one day maybe they will get in the ring together.
But I just really like what lash Legend is doing
as well. We had Jack hitting the small and drop
(14:11):
on Flair, also hitting a spinebuster on Ascar, and Lash
hitting a big boot to Kyrie Sayne. But basically as
Naijackson is going to go for the Annihilator on Kyrie
saying Askar did save Kyrie Sane from it, and they
did end up holding the tag team titles, so they
do end up sort of turning on Aska and Kyrie. Scene.
(14:33):
Call it as you will, but none of these girls
are allies. Their main priority is going for the tag
team titles as well, and backstage they did basically discuss
and justify why they did it. It's because Aska did
miss Lash legend if you remember in the War Games match,
So basically it was them there to flex what they
(14:53):
were capable of and they're going to be fighting for
the titles as well. So there is about what is
it five tag teams tag teams? You got the Judgment Day, Lush,
d Engeans Naya, Jacks, Bailey and larrav Al, Kyria, Rio,
the Kobuki Warriors, Rio bar I Mean, Ripley and Eosky
the Kabuki Warriors, and Charlie Flex's of List. So that's
six tag teams. That are going to be potentially fighting
(15:15):
for the titles there. Will they do it at WrestleMania,
Will they do it before? It looks like it might
be something before. But we're getting we're getting some hype
in the women's tag team division and I mentioned this
at the start and I'm all for it, so this
is great. We then had Ricky Santsen Oberfenni in Nick
Oldus's office and that's where Cody joined the room. Basically
(15:39):
they asked old Us what they were doing there. Cody
basically said to them, whoever wins tomorrow, which already happened
at NXT Deadline for the NXT Championship, we'll be facing
Cody at Saturday Night's main event next week. Wish them
both good luck. And from the time of this recording,
we do know who that's going to be, and that
is going to be Obafemi. So Oba Fami is going
(15:59):
to be taking on Cody Roads next week on Saturday
and Night's main event, which I'm super excited for. Oberfemi
has been doing crazy work on NXT and it feels
like his jump to the main roster is innimate imminent,
and yeah, I think that that match is going to
be awesome. Obviously we expect Cody Roads to win, but
it's going to be a great opportunity for ober Femie
(16:21):
to really show what he's about on the main stage
on Saturday night's main event in a pl where it
is going to be John Cena's final one. So be
excited for that because I think that's going to be
a sort of great, great opportunity to just see that showcase,
and I think it will be a great match overall
as well. Two different styles, but I think coming together,
(16:41):
we'll look for a good match, and I think it's good.
Like people obviously are not happy with sort of Cody Roads,
and I'm one that that hasn't had a few that's
sort of significant or leading to anything. We haven't seen
Randy Order and Cody Roads take on each other. But
just seeing a nice match between an upcoming superstar taken
on Cody Rhoads on a stage like that, I love it.
(17:03):
It gives us the opportunity to see how new and
upcoming stars can go up against the main players on
the roster. So yeah, bring it on. I guess even
though it means nothing, it's just a good showcase. I
would say we then had Jade Cargole coming into the
ring as well, taking on Alba Fire. We had the
match basically a curve Fire hitting the drop chick while
(17:26):
Jay Cargo was looking at Chelsea Green. Chelsea Green obviously
entering the ring to try it distract Alba Fire hitter
Harry Karana and to the turnbuckle, then counted one of
the moves by Jade and hit the super kick. This
is where then Green cheap shotted Jade with a slap
in the face and out of nowhere, Keanu James approached
Chelsea Green tapped her on the shoulder and then we
(17:49):
saw Julia make her return with absolutely no crowd reaction whatsoever. Obviously,
Julia lost the title to Chelsea Green and we haven't
seen her since. She then Chelsea agreeing with some punches.
They were fighting up the aisle and Fire Apple Fire
was distracted from this, obviously looking at this, and that's
where Jade Cargile took advantage, hit Albi Fire for spybuster,
(18:11):
hit a kick as well to the face, and then
finished off with Jada to get the win in another
match that went for less than two minutes. And yeah,
they're not giving Jay cargole lots of time to wrestle
because they might not think that she's ready. So I
don't really understand why she has the title. And look,
I don't want to be a negative Nancy or whatsoever.
(18:32):
All I will say is that this hill turn was great.
I'm glad that they went for a heel turn for
Jay Cargill, but the way that it's been going again
still been underwhelming. Like we see her going backstage after
Beefab talking to her and Jay basically telling what she
did to Alba reminds her of something, and that's where
Meet Chin came in with a kendo stick and Jay
(18:53):
told her to basically say, talk to Nick Olds and
get this match and step up. And yeah, so Jay's
going to be taking on Meet Chim and that match
is going to probably go for less than five minutes.
It's just they are building up Jade like more than
what the fans want. She has the title, but there's
no connection with the fans, good or bad, and there's
(19:16):
no real opponent for her, like she's been doing this
for two three weeks. She's taking on opponents that we
know she's going to wipe the floor with. So it's
very predictable, and it's also the matches aren't long, so
like we're not seeing enough. I know they're trying to
make Jake Cargo look like a powerhouse, but I think
we need her to have a serious program so everyone
can elevate and we can trust in her and so
(19:38):
that she's a good heel. She hasn't come onto the
mic and spoke enough, and she hasn't shown any real
strong wrestling displays that are besides her dominating, which we
all expect. The last time we saw something good from
her that was really good was when she attacked Naomi
in the chamber and we love that. That was something
(19:58):
that I think needed to happen and it was great,
well executed everything. But we need more from Jake Cargo,
I think. And I know she's still raw and she's
got the looks. She looks like a champ like despite
how she's in ring, despite how she is with the fans,
despite all that she is built to be a champion.
It's just that we need to see the fruits and
we need to just see something to just as fans
(20:22):
connect with that and say, yep, that is a real champion.
But again, they're trying this out and I don't hate
them for it, but I just I'm just not loving
it so far. I have to be honest. That's when
we have Sola Sicola coming out with his family Tree.
We did obviously have that backstage sort of segment as
I mentioned with Nathan Fraser and actually talking and complaining
(20:44):
about Diy and Tomaso Champer basically saying that he is
going to challenge him all that, and then we saw
well I talked about Tomatonga, then Sol Saicor just saying
don't worry about that walking into the ring. They do
come in and Yeah, this promo, I really loved it.
And I'm a big advocate and fan for Solo, so
(21:05):
seeing this perment was awesome. And basically he started with
saying that he told everyone that he would handle the
Sami Zame problem and that's what he did because he
took his ass out. He also said he can finally
move forward. So that's when he mentioned the Wyite six
and Uncle Howdy. He said that Howd He's obviously been
watching them, but Solo has been watching them too. He
(21:26):
said his name, while adding that it's his ring, that
it's his show and it's his family tree. He also
claimed that the ww tag team titles belonged to them
as in the MFTs. He also issued a warning to
the Wite six. Solo said that everything that was his
pointing up and referring to Bray Wyatt, which was this
is where it started to get really good. That's now
(21:46):
yours will become Solos and he'll take everything away from him.
And Solo also said that he'll show you, He'll show
that he does not deserve the name Wyatt and also
said they will take it away because he can and
all he has to do is bow leave. That was mad.
That was so cool when he referenced the bow Leave
bo Dalla's sort of segment. Yeah, amazing promo. It was
(22:11):
top tier. And I'm a big fan of Solo. I
know that he's not doing too much and people are
probably tired of this new shape bloodline on whatsoever. But
Solo has really become his own and I think he's
the best out of the USO is right now as
a solo start, and yeah, I'm keen to see what
more he will do. I feel like he's destined for
greatness as well. He's doing a great job with this
(22:33):
MFT and what a promo. I have to say the
lights went out then, however, and that's when the White
Six came out. Uncle Howdy went face to face with Solo,
and that's when both of the groups were on the
opposite side of the rings. The MFT is coming to
help that and we had the two groups fighting. We
had Nikki Cross getting involved as well, jumping onto Jacon
(22:55):
Matato's back as well. We had rolling clearing the ring
on one side and Tallatong the clearing on the other side,
and that's where we had the face off between the
two powerhouses. We did have Rowland kicking out Tylertongue out
the ring, and the MFTs retreated as well. So basically,
they're hyping this up for a great match, and I'm
(23:15):
really excited to see how this program goes. It's been
hyped up for the last two three months. It looks
like the White Six are going to be the babyface
group again. Niki Cross, obviously she's a woman. I don't
know how she'd be involved in this because if she's
not actually going to be in a match, then they
are undermanned four to five and it is the White Six,
So who knows, maybe we'll see a fifth man and
(23:38):
a sixth member of the White Six get involved to
even this up, or we might see Nicky Cross in
the ring, which will be a nice little surprise too.
Who knows. But again, this program continues to do really
well and it might bring the tag team division back
to where it was because there was a time where
it was really hot. It's sort of cooled down and
now I think it's heating back up again with these
(24:00):
two massive factions on SmackDown as well. We then get
a backstage promo again. The miss was in Nick Oldis's
offers to complain about things. He said he should be
on Sunday Night's main event and basically saying it should
be about him, and Nick Olders said he is on
the show. That's when Bailey came in and said that
(24:21):
and Oldest told her that she'll be in action against
Soul Rooker, who walked in. So that's where I said,
another NXT opportunity for Soul Rooker to come in and
face Bailey. Sol Rooker has been really good as well
on NXT and she's had a few tag team matches
on SmackDown as well with Zaria too, fellow Australian. She's
awesome as well, but Soul Rooker is really doing big
(24:43):
things on NXT and she's got a chance to obviously
come into the ring and take on Bailey where she's
going to be watching her at the NXT deadline. We
also then had the gun for interview with Kafa Kelly
again Gunta saying that he'll beat l A. Knight and
beat Johnson and the final night of Saturday Nights made
of Gansa said that his tournament is this tournament's a
foregone conclusion and wants sing it to watch and pay attention,
(25:07):
not the fact that it's going to beat Elleen Knight,
but how he will he'll do it as well, so
great promost to hype up the match too. We then
had another graphic YouTube I think video package with Alisa
Black and Zelena Vega, basically Black speaking about how Damipuss
Demi Price stood by people who didn't stand by him.
(25:29):
He also said that Black might be everyone's enemy, but
he's the one person they'll give it to you straight.
Zelena walked in and said that the sebucas that tempts you,
she's very dark, isn't she. I kind of don't. I
don't mind it, but it's so dark that tempts you
to remind you of the past. Basically mentioning the Judgment Day.
Knew that it was over, but Black did say, it's
the inferno you want and Black will guide him through it.
(25:51):
So basically Zelena talking about how Raey Ripley wants to
come back and think about the moments of the Judgment
Day and how it reminds you of the past is
very tempting. And then by bringing up the inferno, which
is what he did last time, burning him, so again
another opportunity for them to sort of go on as
a group, Damian Priest and ri Ripley, which I mentioned before,
So that'll be very excited. And now we get to
(26:14):
the main event where we had l A Knight versus
Gunther as well, a great match. We obviously had guns
winning with A. I would say it was a unique submission.
It wasn't the sleeperhole that we're used to. It looked
like a sort of STF type move, but not exactly,
and it looked like a lethal sort of submission. And
(26:38):
at first I did think that La Knight was potentially
going to break out of it and win the match,
but yeah, Gunfa wins, and I think I expected this.
I expected Guntha to be John Sena's last opponent. I
called this a few months back on my main event
review as well. Just makes sense. I know that everyone
wants the edge the Chris Jericho, but everything you know
(26:59):
about Triple H and every thing I know about Triple
H is that he's great at hyping something but not
really living up to that same hype. If I'm totally honest,
and I don't want to be too critical of Triple
H because I think he's done some good things, but
for that, that's one thing that irks me is when
he does hype something up and it's not to the
hype of what we expect. But we do have Gunher
and John Cena next week on Saday Night's main event.
(27:21):
You can check out my main event preview tomorrow and
also the pro post preview again or main event. I'm
just dropping that plug in once again, but yeah, we
got Gunsher and John Cena. I suspect Gunsher will win,
and I think it's going to be a great spectacle
as well. But I'll go to La Night because I
(27:43):
think he's just getting screwed over big time. And if
they do not plan something for La Night next year
after all the hard work he's done this year being
on Raw sort of suiting the Raw brand really well,
being involved in the Vision beating set Rowlins. Not even
getting a call up to the Wargames match where All
(28:03):
Knight was massively involved in lots of feuds with bron
Breaker and Bronson Reid is criminal to me. So there
are rumors that they might reward him for this, but
they screwed him over big time. And it's not the
first time they've done it. They had lots of heat
going into the feud with Frohman Reins a few years
back as well during the Bloodline days, and I didn't
put a title on his waist. Ala Knight needs to
(28:26):
be a champion next year, Like, I don't know how
they're gonna do it, but he's just done so much
well and he just keeps getting screwed over, like to
points where his music is not even getting played. He's
getting played through advertisement, They cut off his interview times backstage.
They're not putting him over. It's just a shame. Like
he gets to the final great obviously, Guntherer makes more
(28:48):
sense as an opponent for John Cena. You don't want
Johnsona's last opponent to be a babyface, you want it
to be a heel like Ganther, So where rooting against
him hard. But I just really I'm really sad that Gunsha,
I mean, the La Night is getting sort of screwed
over here constantly. But what can you do. I think
(29:08):
we just have to wait for next year and hopefully
that changes for him. But Guansha just what a guy,
What a freak of nation, What a freak of nature,
what a what an unbelievable wrestler, And I think he is.
I really hope he does some really good promo work
on Raw before the match, just to hype this up,
because we don't I don't think we're gonna see John Cena.
(29:29):
But yes, Gunsha will be John Cena's last opponent, and
I do suspect that Gunthha will wipe the floor with him.
And what they will do with Gunsa after this is
going to be very important. I think that it should
lead to him taking on brock Lesna. I think there
is two heels. No one really likes that, but I
think brock Lesna and Guansha battle is what will make
(29:52):
the most sense the only two guys that beat John
Cena in the retirement toy. You can't count Tominic mysterior
you can, but you know what I mean like and
I think by dominance is what I would say. Like
Brockles and obviously wiped the floor of John Cena. I
expect Gunfa to do something similar. It will be a
much longer match obviously, just to create that hype, but
definitely seeing Brockles then Guntherha going at it together as well.
(30:16):
But yeah, Gunfa beats La Night and he'll be taking
on John Cena. And that's crazy. John Cena's almost done.
It's one more week and we're finished up with John
Cena and it's it's quite It's quite crazy because I
I've always been a big fan of John Cena. He
was my wrestler, main wrestler growing up. He was in
my generation. And in one week he is about to retire.
(30:37):
So that's going to be crazy and it's going to
be unbelievable. But really looking forward to Saturday Night's main event.
And again this has been the review for SmackDown. Thank
you very much for tuning in. I hope you did
enjoy the review. Again, if you did, like this review,
I'll be back in for two more. I'll also be
on the Main Event review, which should come out Tuesday
(30:59):
morning for you guys, I'm pretty sure that's when that
will be released, so I'll be back with yous on
the main review. Be sure to check that out and
also be sure to check out my podcast called The
Huddle Within as well, where I talk about other different
sports as well NFL NBA. As an Australian, I do
love the NFL. I'm a Sad Saints fan. They're they're
(31:20):
They're just terrible. But I'm really excited with what the
NFL is doing as well. NBA two Wizards fan. I
don't know why I'm choosing these bum franchises, but they're
my team. So if you do like those sports, if
you like soccer as well, I'm into that too. Australia
is going to be versed in USA in the World Cup,
so I think a lot of you guys are USA listeners.
(31:42):
I'm Assie and I'm really excited to take you on.
I think we're both sort of happy we drew each
other in the World Cup because you guys, to us
were like the easiest Pot one team and for you guys,
we were like the easiest pot two teams, so we're
probably both excited that we have each other because we
have a chance to get to the World Cup. We
also got Paraguay in our in our league, in our group,
(32:05):
and we also I think we're going to be getting
either Turkey or some other some other group in the
European playoff conference. So Australia has a chance to qualify
to the next round and so do you guys. So yeah,
bring it on, but we talk about that onto on
the on the podcast, lots of soccer, lots of Premier League,
so yeah, be sure to tune into to all that
(32:26):
if you do like that content. But I really again
hope you guys enjoy it and I'll catch you guys
Tuesday morning or else next week for another SmackDown review.
