What if your guild’s last midnight became your first day as a ruler? We dive headfirst into Overlord’s twisted charm: a salaryman stuck as an undead monarch, a fortress of hyper-loyal guardians, and a world eager to mistake awkward improvisation for master strategy. We tease apart the show’s secret engine—Demiurge’s false-flag “savior” plays, Albedo’s velvet tyranny, and how everyone reverse-engineers Ainz’s hesitations into doctrine—then ask the question fans love to fight over: mastermind or lucky lich?

We revisit the moments that define the series. Shalltear vs. Ainz is more than a spectacle; it’s a plot hinge that hints at other players and weaponized mind control. Sebas’s rescue of Tuare proves Overlord can go street-level and tender without dropping its fangs. Clementine’s infamous “hug” sets the tone for clinical brutality. Season two’s Lizardmen arc slows the tempo to show empire from the ground, then season three and four scale up with the Dark Young massacre, the Sorcerer Kingdom’s PR machine, and the bureaucratic comedy of a lich losing to paperwork while winning wars. Princess Renner’s reveal is the creepiest waltz in anime politics, turning love into treason and cementing the series’ horror-romance edge.

We also talk craft and context: why the show’s light nods to game mechanics make its world feel lived-in, how the emotion-suppressor turns morality into math, and where the movies and light novels fill crucial gaps. If you’re here for isekai power scaling, political intrigue, or messy debates about villainy vs antiheroism, this conversation brings the receipts—fights, faction moves, and the slow-burn statecraft that makes Overlord addictive.

Loved the breakdown? Follow, share with your party, and drop a review with your verdict: is Ainz a calculated overlord or the luckiest skeleton alive?

SPEAKER_08 (00:01):
What up, gang?
Let's talk about Overlord.
So, this is a review that we'vebeen trying to do for a while
now.
And Miri Jan, I do thank you forjoining me for this one on
Surprise Professor Talk.
Isn't on this one because thisis the main one that he really
loves talking about.
But like, it's the same thingwith um Cody us at this point,

(00:21):
too, where it's just like uhsome mix-up happens, and next
thing you know, he ends upmissing the warm review that I
set up for him.
But we're just gonna go aheadand get it rolling, anyways.
Overlord.
We have our main character,Mamonga, who's renamed I'm gone.
Uh, he was a regular seller manthat led a guild, I'm gone, and

(00:46):
this DMMO RPG game calledAegisil.
After 12 years of playing thegame, the servers were finally
shutting down.
Uh Mamonga logs in for the lasttime, waiting to see the game to
its end.
However, the clock strikesmidnight and nothing seemed to
have changed.
But overall, I'm gonna focus onthe characters a little bit

(01:10):
before we really get into theplot.
Uh, let's start with Mamonga orAynes Ugone or Lower Eins as
well affectionately like toaddress him as.
Overall, I think it's prettycool.
But for some reason, it's like Ican't help but think he's kind

(01:31):
of like Sid Cogono from Eminenceand Shadow, where he like uh I'm
I'm kind of putting him on fraudalert because he half the time,
okay, he seems like a competentleader, and I give him that.
But the other half of the time,it's like he managed to lead a
whole organization and an empirewhile making shit up as he goes.

(01:53):
Like, in fact, uh, half hispeople, like I betto, uh
Demiurge, and whatnot, it'salmost like they're filling the
blank for him, and he's and it'slike, oh shit, I didn't even
think about that.
And then sometimes, like, especially with Demiurge, where
uh he I like Demiurge, but likehe kind of seemed to understand
the assignment a little too wellto a point where he's the one

(02:16):
that brought up, oh, uh, ourlord wants us to rule the world,
and I'm just sitting there like,uh, and say, you know, that and
then he just rolls with it.
But uh uh, hold on, hold on.
I'm trying to think, uh wheneversomething going on, uh, here
comes something now.

(02:37):
Uh whenever something happened,uh something popping off, uh
just sit there and be like, okay, we need to figure
something out.
And uh it's kind of like uh whatSid Cognot uh um I'm sorry for
this, I'm kind of damn.

(03:01):
But I'm trying to think therewas a time when between Sid
Cognate and Aynes, there was thetimes where they would be
sitting with somebody and hewould have no idea what to do
next, but then he would want theperson to kind of feed him the

(03:22):
information that he needs, sohe'd be like, Oh, yeah, that was
exactly what I was thinking.
You see, you know me very well.
I'm like, nah, you posted it.
You are posting it, you didn'tknow what I'm doing.
Uh what up, Tug?
How you doing?

SPEAKER_00 (03:37):
Yeah, what's good?
Yeah, that's a fact.
He said, This is the house ofuh, he looked around, hot seen
some hot sauce, Diablos.
Yes, Diablos.

SPEAKER_08 (03:49):
I'm like, bro, like, nah, you made that shit up and
just plot just happened tovalidate you.
So I'm like, all right,whatever.
But like, for the most part, Ido like Aynes.
Like, he's he's a very solidcharacter.
Uh, I will give him some slack.

SPEAKER_00 (04:03):
First of all, don't disrespect him.
It's Lord Aynes, thank you.

SPEAKER_08 (04:06):
I will give him some slack since the guardians have
some sense of awareness ofwhat's going on, you know, like
they kind of know that they'recharacters in the game, but uh
not fully aware.
And such as knowing about the 40other guild members as supreme
beings and Ayn's uh stayinguntil the end.

(04:31):
Uh let's get to what hold onbefore I continue.
Mira Jane, your thoughts on LordAynes.

SPEAKER_02 (04:44):
My thoughts on Lord Ayes.

SPEAKER_08 (04:47):
Yeah.
What do you think?

SPEAKER_07 (04:49):
I ain't gonna hold him.
You call you low-key kind of goton my nerves being kind of
sleepy.
Like, like you, I don't, Ididn't, I never could understand
if he was playing ignorant or ifit was just like he is ignorant.
Like, I didn't.
I could never get oh, and thenall the just just all the girls
just loving on him.
Like, I don't understand, because it is not like he was

(05:12):
really intelligent, let's behonest here.
The only thing he was reallygood at was being overpowered.

SPEAKER_04 (05:16):
He's he's great at being LP.

SPEAKER_07 (05:18):
Like, that's it.
But is he really, is he reallythe strategist that he seems to
be, or do these things just behappening?
That's what it's been like withus.

SPEAKER_08 (05:26):
Like, that's why I'm saying, okay, all right.
I want to say at least in thefirst two seasons, or okay, he
kind of knows what he's doing.
But then by the time I got toseason three, I'm like, oh, I
gotta put you on fraud alertbecause you're kind of letting
Demiurge and Alberto feed youthe plan, and then you just um
come behind and be like, yeah, that's exactly one of those
things.

(05:47):
That's what I was sayingearlier.

SPEAKER_00 (05:51):
It's different from the game.
A lot of stuff changed.
So, what you mean by that?
What you mean, like a lot ofstuff changed?
So, the original game he was thestrategist for in the group, in
the party, he was the headperson, he was in charge of
everybody, he knew everybody'sposition, their power, what they
was able to do, all of that.

(06:12):
When everything changed, was theend of season one, the beginning
of season two, when he startedrealizing the differences that
was happening from real lifeversus the differences that
occurred in the game.
So it was something new for him.
So he has to discovereverything.
Now, some of the perks that hehad previously work, like some

(06:32):
of them, but some he had to makeup on the spot.

SPEAKER_08 (06:38):
Yeah, that's why I'm saying, okay, I'll give him some
slight because he kind of knewwhat he was doing.
I just didn't like the partwhere he was kind of reminding
me of Sid Cong and O Swell.
Uh, he was kind of letting hisuh subordinates kind of make up
the plan for him.
That's the only thing that I'lllike kind of I'm gonna do it.

(06:58):
Yeah, it's mainly deniers, butsometimes out there.

SPEAKER_00 (07:01):
You want you remember that one time you said
you wanted to take over theworld?
Oh yeah, that's what you've beenworking for.
But like you said, remember heand he over there, like, oh
yeah, yeah, yeah, I do it.

SPEAKER_02 (07:12):
No, no, no.

SPEAKER_07 (07:14):
The animation used to have me roll, it just had me
roll it every time because it'slike you could see the sweat
drop.
You can feel the sweat.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You sound like your uncledisagree with everything.

SPEAKER_00 (07:27):
Yeah, I remember back in the day.
Like, like JB, let's say youtold you tell all of us
something obscure that you saidthree years ago, and then we
remember that one thing, and youdon't even remember that shit no
more.
Like, well, that's what weworked before.
That's what happened.

SPEAKER_08 (07:44):
Yeah, it didn't.

SPEAKER_00 (07:46):
When the fuck I said that, you know, yeah, right.
I did say that.
I did say that.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's take over the world.

SPEAKER_08 (07:52):
But I gotta go back to my own reviews and be like,
shit, I did say that.

SPEAKER_07 (07:57):
Jimmy Earth and I remind me of Pinky and the
Brain.
That's the the feeling that Iget.
What are we gonna do today,Pinky?

SPEAKER_04 (08:09):
Well, we're gonna take a come on now.
They're gonna take over theworld again.
Again and again.

SPEAKER_08 (08:15):
You gotta do it right.
It's like, all right, Brian, what we're gonna be doing
tonight.
Like, same thing we do everynight, Pinky.
We're planning to take over theworld.
But no, it was like reverse, though.
Like, it was like um thesuborners were thinking, all
right, what's the plan, boys?
You gonna subjugate this umnation right here?
I was like, oh bro, I was gonnatake a day.

(08:35):
Oh, damn.

SPEAKER_07 (08:37):
It's it's like Pinky became honest and was like, oh
day, is this what it's like tobe brain?
That's what it's even though weall know Pinky was a smartest
born in Pinky in the brain, butwe ain't gonna be like, You know
what the crazy thing?

SPEAKER_08 (08:51):
The crazy thing is there's literally a character
named Brain in this anime.
I was like, bro, get the fuckout of here.
No, no, no, like I I was fuckingrolling when there was literally
a dude named Klein.
Like, really?
His name is Klein.

SPEAKER_05 (09:08):
What's what's wrong with what's you got a problem
with the name Klein?

SPEAKER_07 (09:13):
What's wrong with that?
Oh, I guess, I guess incomparison, huh?
What I love, what I love aboutthis is that there is a butler
named Sebastian.

SPEAKER_08 (09:30):
No, I think that's that's kind of because he's a
whole black butler representingnow.
Okay, okay.
That's kind of I I can roll withthat.
But Klein though, really, bro?

SPEAKER_00 (09:44):
Is that what we're doing?
That butler cole, too.
You know, fell in love with ahoe.

SPEAKER_07 (09:49):
Did you say you fell in love with a why why why did
you say he fell in love with ahoe?

SPEAKER_00 (09:55):
She was a like literally, she was a hoe.

SPEAKER_08 (09:57):
Whoa, she was like, she was part of the slave trade,
so like I mean, it wasn't likeshe was consent to that shit.
I mean, it ain't like she waslike had any real agency over
that shit.

SPEAKER_01 (10:07):
It's more like was she a hodo?

SPEAKER_00 (10:19):
Oh my god, they cured all the diseases they they
pulled back at 100%.
Yeah, so the vagina got snatchedback up.

SPEAKER_07 (10:27):
Damn, damn, oh vagina got snatched back up.
I'll be honest with you.
I feel like that should be Ishouldn't say that.

SPEAKER_04 (10:47):
I don't know why I said it.

SPEAKER_07 (10:49):
I don't know why I said it.
It didn't come out.

SPEAKER_06 (10:52):
I don't know who said that.

SPEAKER_07 (10:56):
You didn't have to go on it.
Just let it alone.
But honestly, though, she wasshe was a hoe.
And I just love the fact thatthis is a little nugget, because
let's be honest.
This is total theory that BlackButler is somehow magically
connected to Overlord.
Like, let's what is it is chillphantom high playing the game?

(11:19):
Just saying.
I'm just saying we don't knowwhat happens.
It could be.
That's why he has to have thebutler, Sebastian.
That's why.

SPEAKER_08 (11:29):
Uh, to our next character, I need to go ahead
and say this is with on thetopic topic of black butler.
Uh, Mira Jane, first of all, I'mkind of disappointed that you
missed the black butler review, but I'm hoping that we can get a
segment from you later.
But um the Emerald Witch Arc.
If you've seen that shit, I'mgonna take this on the record

(11:50):
right now.
Why the fuck did that play outlike the Truman show in Germany?
Because he kind of did though, because essentially they sent
that girl to think like, oh,you're in this whole fairy tale,
magical world where likewerewolves and whatnot turns out
that oh, we smash your ownfucking legs so that way you

(12:14):
ain't gonna go nowhere, so youcan develop this um soline gas,
this um toxic gas that's gonnakill everybody and kickstart
world war one, but we gotta keepyou under the illusion.
So we had to fabricate fuckingeverything.
And her mother was fucking in onthis, like she was the
ringleader of that shit.
I'm like, bro, bro, bro.
Who is that?
I got the fuck in when I saw allthat shit.

SPEAKER_02 (12:39):
Oh my god.

SPEAKER_08 (12:41):
But uh, all right, let's keep it moving.
Alberta.
All right, let's check here.

SPEAKER_00 (12:47):
Let me start.
Let me let me start real quickand just tell y'all, real quick,
as a warning, no disrespect formy baby mama.
All right, oh my god, here wego.
She will literally choke me.
Okay, and I would enjoy it forthe first five minutes.
After that, I would no longerenjoy it.
So please, please, you would bedead.

(13:07):
Don't disrespect her.

SPEAKER_08 (13:09):
Okay now.
Hold on, like, I see.
Well, listen, I'll bet on thehighest ranking NPC.
Well, I don't know if call themNCPCs anymore since they're
alive, but the highest rankingofficer in the Tomb of Nazareth
and supervisor of all itsguardians was created by a
former guild member namedTabula.

(13:30):
Beautiful looking demon lady, but was originally designed to
be a total bitch until uh LordOz edited her code to be deeply
in loving with him.
So I'm like, all right, so uh Ikind of understand the
attraction.
Hell, even that one dude, thatone barren dude that thought,
oh, he had a shot, but then allof a sudden, um, you know, that
one scene where oh he got aprivate audience where uh and

(13:52):
it's like oh I knew you see myvalue or not, and like, oh yeah,
yeah, I got whatever, dog.
Listen, like, I got somethingfor you.
Uh, he opened the box for you,uh, and then turns out it's got
three heads, and next thing youknow, he was gone too.
So it got me thinking, like, uhAlberto, she got a deep love for

(14:15):
I to a point to where like shecan't wait to jump on those
bones per can she get.
Like, she really wants Ayn toimpregnate her and whatnot.
And I just think it's funny whenshe had that little back and
forth with Saltier because Shauthere also got a bad for her.
But uh, before we even get toSaltier, I'm gonna go ahead and

(14:37):
let Mira Jane say what she gotto say about Albedo.

SPEAKER_07 (14:42):
Okay, so Albedo is a what-if scenario is Urza and
Mirajane came together and waslove obsessed.
Like that, and she, you know, you know what?
I can understand why she's babymama.
She's kind of cute.
I like her obsessive behavior,and I don't know why.

(15:05):
Maybe it's because I've beenreading books about stalkers,
but that's not the point.

SPEAKER_08 (15:08):
The point is that okay, that's not greedy business
recognized Brazy Bitches.

SPEAKER_07 (15:16):
You know what I'm saying?
And her obsession with wantingto, you know, have his babies is
kind of cute, and it's also alittle dangerous because if he
look at anybody, they did.
She's going to kill them.
Like, he came, he don't need tosneeze no one else's way.

(15:41):
And I like that.

SPEAKER_08 (15:43):
Now, the funny thing is about that is that although
she makes it painfully obviousuh how much uh she loves him,
uh, well, I mean, I I care aboutyou, but like I I don't know if
I can't match that energy thatyou're on.

SPEAKER_07 (16:04):
She just needs a little bit more convincing.
That's all.
It's just it should take alittle time, you know what I'm
saying?
He'll hit me in eventually.

SPEAKER_00 (16:14):
You can't keep saying though.
It's not like Professor Wagnerbeing Miss Parker now.

SPEAKER_08 (16:20):
That's not what it's gonna be.
Guys, you're gonna hit him withum that step room talking about,
oh, I'm wearing you down, baby.
I'm wearing you down.

SPEAKER_07 (16:31):
Nah, I'm wearing she if she don't, I understand.
I under I Professor Tuck, Iactually agree with this baby
mama.
This is the first one I thinkI'm agreeing with.

SPEAKER_06 (16:45):
I think, look, but I agree with this one.
Welcome to the club, man.
You know what I mean?
I'm gonna I'm gonna leave youon.
I don't want to be got on.
That don't sound right.

SPEAKER_00 (16:55):
That's not what I need.
Yeah, to be on the baby mamaclub.
Look, I have a thing for yonderrace.
I like them obsessive, soobsessive that like I know
they'll never leave me.
I can't look at no other girl orthey're gonna be upset.
That's what I like.

SPEAKER_08 (17:12):
Have you heard of this one new-ish anime?
Because it came out earlier thisyear.
Uh, you heard of uh yonder elf?

SPEAKER_00 (17:19):
No, I did not.
I did not even.
You said elf yonder elf?

SPEAKER_08 (17:26):
She's a chocolate elf on top of what she's a
chocolate elf.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (17:30):
First of all, yonder, and then an elf that's
chocolate.
I'm all over.

SPEAKER_08 (17:34):
Yeah, let me let me see if I can pull it up.
I'm gonna do a screen share injust a moment, but I'm gonna
pull it up for you.

SPEAKER_07 (17:40):
I ain't gonna hold you.
Uh uh.
That's not like right up myalley.
I ain't gonna hold you.
Uh, because I like crazy.

SPEAKER_08 (17:48):
Her name's on uh Maria Bell.
Just um you know, uh home.

SPEAKER_07 (17:55):
She said, ring my bell.
That's what she said.

SPEAKER_08 (17:58):
Let me get a good picture of her.
Okay, here we go.
Um wait a minute.

SPEAKER_00 (18:10):
But uh, yeah, uh, you got anything you want to add
on to Alberto First, she is sucha good and competent leader, she
loves to give them freedom, butsimultaneously she rules with an
iron fist because she don't carewhat they do as long as they

(18:30):
abide by the number one rule.
Don't ever disrespect Lord AynesUl Gong, don't ever do it.
And bear in mind that's not hisoriginal name.
I don't know if y'all alreadysaid that.

SPEAKER_08 (18:42):
Yeah, again, I said Mamonga, but it changed to uh
Aynes as of uh episode six.

SPEAKER_00 (18:48):
And my monga is dope as hell as a hero.
So looking at the two differentcharacteristics of um Aynes, and
then comparing it to Albedo, wholoves him in either scenario,
because she knows who it is,like taking on that name so that
he can discover.
Oh my lord Jesus, oh my lordJesus.

(19:12):
That that's a baby mama rightthere.
That is most definitely a babymama, yeah, yeah.
It's only 12 episodes so far, soI don't know.

SPEAKER_08 (19:30):
It's only 12 episodes so far, so it'll take
like an afternoon to get donewith it.

SPEAKER_00 (19:37):
Oh, yeah, yeah, most definitely.
And what's the name of thatanime?

SPEAKER_08 (19:44):
Uh Yonderate Elbum.
I'm trying to figure out the uhfull name.

SPEAKER_00 (19:52):
Uh Yonderate Dark Elf, she chased me all the way
from another world.
Uh consider that guy.
I'm gonna watch that tonight, obsessively devoted Dark Elf
named Mary Maria Bell followshim to another world.
Oh, she followed him to anotherworld, boy.

(20:13):
That's what I'm talking about.
That's love right there, bro.

SPEAKER_08 (20:17):
Like just go ahead, you go ahead and watch it.
Just go ahead and watch it.
Yeah, already did it for animelightning.
So, for y'all who see um listento the second anime lightning, I
already talked about it on thesecond anime lightning, so you
can hear my thoughts on that.
On that one, all right, keep itin movement.

(20:37):
Yep, uh, south here, bro.
Like, okay.
Now, she also got it bad foreyes, but I think it's kind of
cute how she kind of inflatedherself just to be more
appealing, you know.
Aside from that, uh I would sayher fight with eyes is probably

(21:01):
one of my favorite in the wholeseries, to be personally.

SPEAKER_00 (21:04):
Player versus player, right?
Was that that name of theepisode?

SPEAKER_08 (21:06):
Yeah, that's what that's what it was.
Because, bro, like the uh fightchoreography was crazy in that
one, like they were really goingat each other.

SPEAKER_00 (21:16):
Yeah, you thought my boy was gonna lose to his
subordinate.

SPEAKER_08 (21:20):
No, I mean, no, I didn't think he was gonna lose.

SPEAKER_00 (21:22):
No, I'm just saying in general, not like that.

SPEAKER_08 (21:24):
I'm just saying, I at least I at least appreciate
the fact that okay, we can't Iappreciate the cinematography of
it all.
That's all.

SPEAKER_00 (21:34):
That was the last uh of the uh season, too.
Last episode.

SPEAKER_08 (21:39):
Yeah, he wasn't even like warrior yet, but yeah.
I was uh kind of fucking with uhshelter for the most part.
Like I think she looked a goodcounter ballot.
Well, excuse me.
I like how she was trying toredeem herself ever since she
got uh mind control, andhonestly, maybe so you can um

(21:59):
clarify on this, but like wasever cleared up who had her
under that mind control becauseit it just felt like um it was a
mystery left open.

SPEAKER_00 (22:10):
Did you read the manga?

SPEAKER_08 (22:11):
I didn't.

SPEAKER_00 (22:12):
All right, no, I ain't gonna uh spoil it, but
it's uh um it'll be covered in alater season.
I'm not sure if it's gonna bethe new season or not, because
they skipping around a littlebit from the light novels.

SPEAKER_08 (22:24):
Yeah, but I mean I think I figured there was gonna
be something.

SPEAKER_00 (22:27):
I want to give you a hint, but like I also don't.
But just just know there in theworld, there's other players.
Okay, I I kind of figured thatbecause they kind of and and it
just it just goes into thatbecause if you've seen at the
end, like she can't even recallanything that happened, and
there's a reason for that, it'ssome magic at play.

SPEAKER_08 (22:51):
Gotcha, gotcha.
All right, well, until a newseason or maybe a new movie, I
don't know.
Like, I'm thinking like, wasn'tthere a third movie will be
coming out somehow?

SPEAKER_00 (23:01):
Yeah, and she a baby mama candidate too, but she
can't because I better won't letme have any other baby mamas
from Overlord.
So it's fine.
It's fine.
I do got things for vampires.
I ain't gonna lie.

SPEAKER_08 (23:17):
Speaking of vampire, you call me sooky.
You vampire love you.
Speaking of which, Mary Jane, how you feeling about uh
Celsier?
I mean, I know it's that word,but like I don't speak for it.

SPEAKER_07 (23:41):
I'm back.
I'm sorry.
Um honestly, I'm glad you gotwith the fight.
I'm so glad because that fightwas something else.
It was definitely top tier, definitely a highlight.
Um like what I did like about itthough is honestly, Shawtier

(24:03):
gave I the run for his money upuntil the end.
Like, we're it's I felt likethat was a little unfair that he
exploited her weakness likethat.
That was fucked up.
Because, like, this is like sowait.
A win is a win, man.
No, because like no, no, thatsounds like that was cheating.

(24:25):
That's a little cheating.
Like, he used, he messed withher mind.
Like, it's like you can't bedoing slight warfare in the
middle of the fight.
Ain't no cheating in the fight.
Okay, but you can't do thatthough.
I just feel like she deserves.
I don't, you know what?
I feel like she's too good forhonesty.

SPEAKER_00 (24:46):
That's what I feel like.
Oh no, let's not disrespect LordHans like that now.
Like, like that's not him.
He ain't even pulled nothing outof his bag of bones.
All he pulled out was a littlering.
You know how you know how manyartifacts my boy got?
You you don't even know.
You got man, you gotta read thelight novel.
You don't know how powerful.

(25:08):
He is overlord for a reason.
The name is overlord for areason.
But I'm just I just feel I'mjust saying.

SPEAKER_08 (25:15):
Oh, can I can I just say that I liked how four
seasons in he finally said itwhere he considered himself the
overlord of darkness, like uh hesaid it.

SPEAKER_07 (25:26):
It did take him four seasons.
It did, it took a while, it tookus a long time to get there.

SPEAKER_00 (25:33):
It's kind of like I'm an overlord.

SPEAKER_07 (25:40):
Is he an overlord?
Is he sure?

SPEAKER_08 (25:43):
I mean, he was taking over nations and shit,
like uh E Ranzel and whatnot, kind of the whole torture
kingdom.
Like he he kind of is though.

SPEAKER_01 (25:54):
Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07 (25:57):
You know, I I can I can honestly say this.
I kind of got on my nerves.
I ain't gonna hold you.
Like, it's just it was alove-hate relationship with this
man.
Thing.
Not love.
Yes, it was a love-haterelationship.
Because like it just, like attimes I be, oh, he kind of
endearing, he kind of cute.
But then what he did, I didn'tlike the way he played with her

(26:18):
mind like that.
That that that definitelychanged some.
I was like, mm-mm.
Because what if he played withmy mind like that?
Mm-mm.
But he can't play with I betterlike that.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, he can.
Cause because she already, shealready, that's what I'm saying.
Like, it wouldn't even bebecause he already played with
her mind.

SPEAKER_08 (26:38):
Like, oh, he did with kind of circling back to
that uh that one detail.
Like, MJ, is this something youreally want to talk about?

SPEAKER_06 (26:46):
No, nope, nope, nope, not at all.

SPEAKER_08 (26:50):
Alright, all right, all right.
Uh all right, let's um blazethrough the other four
guardians.
Uh, there is Gargantua, and Ialso want to uh throw in
victims.
Um I feel like they were alludedto, but I never really seen
them.
Like I think I'm guessingthey're gonna be so uh appear
more later on.

(27:10):
Like, we haven't really got agood look at them in the anime,
like or less.
I just kind of missed them whenI went to get some food watching
the uh all four seasons.
I'm thinking like, dang, like, did I miss them?
God swear to god they didn'tshow up at all.
They were mentioned, but Ididn't see them yet.
But um, I ain't worked at theworry about them.

SPEAKER_00 (27:30):
Uh you'll see them in the next season.
You see all of them in indifferent kinds of aspects.

SPEAKER_08 (27:35):
Cool, cool, cool.

SPEAKER_00 (27:37):
Especially the twins.

SPEAKER_08 (27:39):
Oh, speaking of which, or and Mara.
I like them.
I mean, they they kind ofconfused me at first because I
swear to god, I thought Aura wasthe boy and Mari was the girl,
but they did they had the wholecross-dressing thing going on
that kind of threw me off forlike a hot minute.

SPEAKER_00 (27:59):
Yeah, the player that created them was in the
cross-dressing.
Yeah, I yeah, but I and just soy'all know, um, I don't know if
you ever seen, but this wasoriginally made for a video
game, it's so detailed, likedown to the like final fantasy,
like right, it's it's down tothe absolute detail.

(28:20):
They can literally create thebest video game based off of all
the details that's in the lightnovel.
Really?
Yeah, it's it's that detailedbecause it was originally made
for a video game.
The the author made it in theintention of making a video
game.
I would play the heck out ofsomething like this.
I ain't gonna lie, MMORPG.

SPEAKER_07 (28:42):
That makes sense.
I love MMOs that that I wouldhave played the heck out of this
because it's like who wouldn'twant to feel like this?

SPEAKER_00 (28:51):
Like that, yeah.
I'm sorry about Kokugatsubecause I know so much
information, but the uh theKokugatsu with the info with the
TMI, the power scale system init is so dope, bro.
Based off of everybody, and youknow who reigns at the top, of
course, the overlord, butthere's other people that are

(29:12):
almost directly underneath him, like other players.
But of all the players, ofcourse, he was the leader for a
reason.

SPEAKER_08 (29:20):
Um you know what this all reminds me of this new
anime that I checked out rightbefore the session, uh
Apocalypse Bringer Managera.
It's similar to Oval, I swear,but I mean, there's some
differences, of course, but someof the way it plays out, whereas
like you have this main guy whogets easy time to another world,

(29:42):
he wants to make an evil empire.
And uh, unlike overlord, that'sbased on an um fantasy RPG, this
one is based off of a 4X game.
But I'm gonna mention all thisin detail when I actually do the
review, but I just thought itwas kind of funny how.
It plays out similar toOverlord, but at the same time,

(30:04):
it has different aspects of umit in a way.
This anime, this new anime, leans into the video game aspect
a little bit more.
While Overlord, I'm gonnaexplain this in a little bit,
but uh just get off Monongra fora moment.
Where I like it.
You're gonna hear from me when Ido this review eventually.

(30:27):
But what I like about Overlord, that's different from Monga,
where they made it more obviousthat there's video game aspects
influencing the plot.
Overlord kind of immersed youinto it where it's so immersive
to a point where you kind offorget that it's based off a
video game.
Kind of like hat where the storyis so good you you kind of

(30:50):
forget that it was based off agame.
Uh I also want to say that well,no, that was about it.

SPEAKER_07 (31:04):
I I don't know, I'm kind of I mean, you've been
asking us questions.
How do you feel?
How do you feel about eyes?
You've been asking me as hugshow we feel.
How do you feel about eyes?
Like unadulterated, how youfeel.
I mean I know you said, but Iwant you to dig deep.

(31:30):
Don't be looking for somebodyto.
Shut up.
He can agree with me if youwant.
We I agree with him.
I just want him to dig deep andjust agree that eyes is the
worst overboard.
Objection?

SPEAKER_00 (31:47):
Okay.
Objection, JB.
She's badgering the witness.
You are leading, you're leading.
I agree with him.
Trying to get him to agree withyou.
Come on now.

SPEAKER_08 (32:00):
You are kind of doing that, like kind of
twisting my arm there, but like, bro, listen.
Like, I don't hate Ayn.
Like, he's so as he is.
Like, at the very least, he's ina way, I kind of like how he
kind of gives off like fall offigure vibe to some of the maze
and his um kingdom.

(32:21):
I'm not well, yeah, you might aswell say kingdom at this point.
And his organization andwhatnot.
Like, crazy enough, just likethis main character in Managra,
both of these characters, like, yeah, they're leading evil
empires.
But are they the bad guy, girls?
So it's kind of like that onescene from Wreck and Ralph.

(32:41):
You are the bad guy, but thatdoesn't mean you are a bad guy.
Where I'm like, I'm notconvinced you're all that evil.
I'm thinking that you just wantthe kind of empire to where you
just do whatever the fuck youwant.
And that's pretty much their MOright there.
It's like, all right, let'sbuild this empire so that way we

(33:03):
can all just live however thefuck we want instead of all this
rude, you know, I don't know.

SPEAKER_07 (33:12):
No, that makes sense.
No, like, that it kind of, youknow, he kind of reminded me a
little bit of Tensor Millio.
Like, this anime kind ofreminded me of like what would
happen if you just took theobsessive love story of T.
Muglio and put it in Overlord.
That's kind of what it remindedme of.

(33:33):
But Timmy Millio is extremelycomplicated, and I don't want
that to be a topic that wereviewed.

SPEAKER_06 (33:40):
I get confused about his baby mamas.

SPEAKER_08 (33:44):
Then he got a lot of baby mamas.
I hate to tell you this, butthat's on the schedule for
November.

SPEAKER_00 (33:50):
What's what's the name of that show with all the
baby mamas?
Tinty Muyo.
Oh, y'all was talking too fast.
Hold on, y'all talk at the sametime.

SPEAKER_08 (33:59):
Got Tinty Muyo.

SPEAKER_00 (34:01):
Oh, yeah, I'm gonna watch that.

SPEAKER_08 (34:03):
No, you're not bro.
Don't do that.
Warning you it's a lot.

SPEAKER_06 (34:08):
It's a lot.
Don't do it.
Hold on.
But you gotta understandmultiple series.
It's it's more, and you gottaunderstand how all of the baby
mamas end up with baby.

SPEAKER_08 (34:23):
Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07 (34:25):
Muyo y o the the only baby mama he needed was
Ryoko.
And that reminds me of Aldeda.
And then, you know, I'm justsaying.
Oh, it's like franchise.

SPEAKER_00 (34:40):
Oh no?
No.
It's not smart.
Like season-wise, it's it's kindof.
Oh man.
Sort of.
I got a lot to watch.

SPEAKER_01 (34:50):
Yeah.
You do.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_07 (34:52):
And you're gonna need to pull out a whiteboard so
you can track how the baby mamasbecome baby mamas.
Because now we do that.

SPEAKER_00 (35:00):
I'm a baby mama expert.

SPEAKER_08 (35:01):
Bro, like it's like Kingdom Hearts level uh
complicated to where like you'regonna have to like go like
zigzag, crisscross, and whatnot, trying to piece together with
everything.

SPEAKER_06 (35:13):
I'm not even I'm not even gonna ruin, I'm not even
texting to say nothing else.

SPEAKER_00 (35:16):
I'm gonna just mamaologist.

SPEAKER_06 (35:18):
Um's is a ship.

SPEAKER_00 (35:24):
Yeah, sometimes baby mamas be inadimate options.
It's fine.
Three three eye atlas.

SPEAKER_08 (35:30):
No, I mean Brick Sansi as he fucked the whole
planet.
That's a fact.
That's a fact.
You have to say that.
I mean, like if we just go umbam for ban, we might as well go
with that.

SPEAKER_07 (35:49):
If we're gonna go nut for nut.

SPEAKER_01 (35:51):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_07 (35:52):
At least you know what, that is the only respect
that I can give Oz.
At least he don't have 16million baby mamas.

SPEAKER_00 (35:59):
He don't have an appendix.

SPEAKER_07 (36:02):
I mean, like I said, the respect that I can get.

SPEAKER_00 (36:07):
All he got is a pelvis.
It's not his fault.

SPEAKER_08 (36:11):
No, he can only spin the ball.

SPEAKER_07 (36:20):
He can scissor.
Scissoring.
People like scissoring.
I found out recently.
I didn't know exactly whatscissoring was.
What?

SPEAKER_08 (36:28):
Nah, ain't no way, MJ.

SPEAKER_07 (36:30):
Come on now.
To be honest with you, I foundout via wrestling what exactly
scissoring was when they werelike, scissor me, daddy, yes,
and I was like, I get it now.
Yeah, yep, yep, yep.

SPEAKER_00 (36:47):
Wow.
You are such a maiden.

SPEAKER_07 (36:54):
Like, yeah, I mean, that's what happens when you get
married early.
I got married early too.

SPEAKER_08 (37:01):
Yeah, but I I also did you ever figure out um what
I said earlier?
Um like a while ago when I saidthat if a dude invites you on
the boat, what's theimplication?

SPEAKER_06 (37:14):
Nope.
I never got it.
I don't want to say I honestlyon a boat sounds like a nice
trip to me.
The implication is she gonnadrive the boat.

SPEAKER_08 (37:24):
I mean, that's one way to put it.

SPEAKER_00 (37:32):
You need to listen to more many castallion, and
you'll be fine.

SPEAKER_07 (37:37):
I hate her so much.
Why would I do that?

SPEAKER_00 (37:39):
You ain't seen that new video.
You ain't seen that new video.
I don't I don't like her as aperson.
Hey, shout out to Clay.
I don't understand.
Shout out to Clay Splash, bro.

SPEAKER_08 (37:54):
No, no, no, no.
If we're gonna talk about crazybitches, can we talk about
Clementine, that uh psychokiller lady that I was just
fixing to say that I was justfixing to bring up Clementine,
bro.
Listen, like okay, so you goaround talking about hey bro,
listen, I do this shit for fun.

(38:15):
Like, she was just killingpeople for fun.
Like, I'll I love killing, Ilove torturing, I love seeing
your terrified look on yourfaces when I do it.
You better look at me in theeyes when you when I do it, and
then by the time um Clementinewas dealing with Hines, and then
uh Nabe, uh who we know atNarborreal, was dealing with um

(38:38):
Buddy with the skeletal dragons, but like she dealt with him like
with ease.
But then with Hines, though, like of course, he handled
Clementine easily, but I likethe way he did it to her, like,
hey girl, come here and give mea hug.

SPEAKER_00 (38:56):
Creepy ass smile, bruh.

SPEAKER_07 (38:59):
It was so creepy, it was so creepy.

SPEAKER_08 (39:04):
I love you, you love me.

SPEAKER_07 (39:10):
No, like the way you're not moving, he's not done
in I'm stabbing nothing.
I'm sorry, trying to stay.

SPEAKER_08 (39:18):
You know, it is um eyes and shit, like yeah, rats
and him like I think she shetrying to bite on, like, bro.
You try to bite the two lost allthose tooth.

SPEAKER_07 (39:32):
She did, bro, bro, she was an animal, she was
absolutely an animal, and then Iain't gonna hold you.
His great she he really didsqueeze the hell out of her.
Like, she just how you gethugged to death.

(39:52):
How is that the way you go out?

SPEAKER_08 (39:56):
Hey girl, come hug my neck.
And I'm like, uh, you don't haveany meat on no more.
Hey, don't worry about it.
Don't worry about all that.

SPEAKER_02 (40:08):
That don't sound right.

SPEAKER_04 (40:14):
That was actually kind of scary.
Why you like on me?
Why you hell on me?

SPEAKER_07 (40:20):
What's wrong?
What is wrong with me?
What's wrong with me?
Never mind, never mind.
That sounds very Halloween-ish.
We are close to it.

SPEAKER_08 (40:27):
You ask the wrong questions.
Come hug me.

SPEAKER_07 (40:32):
No, I'm uh that that I'm running the absolute
opposite direction.
That is horrified.
No.

SPEAKER_08 (40:41):
Oh shit, you know what?
But I want to say that seasonone, damn, I love season one.
That was the shit for me.
Now, season two, I'm gonna behonest with you.
Y'all were kind of losing me inseason two, like half the first
half, y'all kind of losing mebecause this whole bullshit with
the Lizardmen, like two, three, four episodes of this.

(41:05):
I'm like, that's where coquitis,uh well, uh warrior bugs showing
up.
You're like, all right, I'mgonna make life work out of all
y'all.
Like, it was like a slow burn,so all that stuff.
Like, we kind of know they'regonna get steamrolled, but I'm
like, see, that's that's thekind of thing.
Like, what I like aboutOverlords, where these

(41:25):
characters who were NPCs, it'slike the story trying to set us
up to where um we're supposed togive a damn about each of these
characters, like they have thetheir own stories and whatnot,
outside of what I've got goingon, and then halfway into season

(41:48):
so you kind of get to a pointwhere you kind of forget that uh
Ayn just gonna end up showing upand give this whole decree to
where I'm like, Hey yo, so checkthis out.
We kind of wanna invite y'allinto our little party and
whatnot, but we need to see howtough y'all are.

(42:10):
So be prepared in like what wasit, like 48 hours or something
like that?
Um be prepared to have your shitrocked.
And then the lizard man waslike, no, we surrender.
No, no, no, don't do that, don'tdo that, don't do that.
Because y'all that ruins it forme.
That ruins I want I want to seehow tough y'all are, I want to
see how strong y'all are.
Like, don't surrender, like justlet it happen, you know.

(42:33):
Uh, you better put those handsup when we uh show back, come
back around here, and like Iforgot what it was.
Uh I think it was two, threedays, but uh yeah, that that was
the whole thing, even to a pointto where oh uh we saw two lizard
people getting it on too, likeit was Discovery Channel.

SPEAKER_00 (42:55):
And then after all that, they were giving it in.
You know, you feel me?
They was trying to have it, theywas trying to have them a white
white lizard.

SPEAKER_08 (43:07):
Okay, and then after that, we had what I like to call
the black butler arc, whereSebis uh was fighting against
this criminal organization, uh,Eight Finger, uh, after you
know, he saved Tuari to whore.
I mean, you know, she's now amaid, so okay.

(43:28):
Uh, anyways, Sebis was trying tohandle them, and this also draws
Lord Aynes' attention, leadingto this strategic battle and
alliances being made, and therewas this whole battle of uh Cast
Plains where Aynes demonstrateshis overwhelming power by

(43:48):
decimating a whole army at there-essence kingdom, solidify his
reputation.
I think this is when I don'tknow if this was season two or
season three.
Like I was watching four seasonsin a whole weekend.
Some things are gonna getworried, but uh, I think it was
season two when it was like heessentially launched his spell

(44:10):
that killed 70,000 people.
Uh and then no, no, no, wait, wait, wait.

SPEAKER_00 (44:19):
Yeah, that's true.
This nigga had a death paradeand military service and parade
before he killed everybody.
This shit is crazy.
This nigga said, Yeah, yeah,yeah.
I'm gonna kill y'all, but y'allgonna see this whole parade
first.
I'm gonna show y'all howpowerful I am, and then we're
gonna get y'all in two seconds.

SPEAKER_08 (44:38):
And then, okay, my bad.
Uh see, the funny thing is, likeseason two and season three had
a battle at uh cast planes.
There was like the battle, andthen there's the massacre, where
essentially, uh not only theybut also he kind of absorbed

(44:59):
those bodies and whatnot to makefive what was called the
thousand young or uh somethingelse.
Uh they called it somethingelse, but like it was like these
bleeding ghosts that look likereally nightmare type shit.
And the crazy thing is, like, Ihave a mixed feelings about them
being CGI, like uh it looks kindof good, but then at the same

(45:23):
time, it kind of looked likesome shit straight up uh PS2 or
Xbox game.
Like I'm talking OG Xbox game.
Like I don't know, like I havemixed feelings about the design,
the final design.
It kind of reminds me of Attackon Titan season three all over
again to where, like, okay, what's up with the claws of

(45:43):
Titan looking all blocky andshit with the CGI?
I don't know, I don't know aboutthat band.
Uh, but that's beside the point.
Season two, it uh it was a slowburn at first, but then after we
get past the whole thing withthe lizard man, it kind of picks
back up, and I'm like, okay, I'mback in there.

(46:03):
I'm I'm back here.
All right, cool.
Uh what were your thoughts onseason two?

SPEAKER_00 (46:16):
It's like all other seasons.
I love all of it, you know whatI mean?
But season two as a whole, uh soseason one set us up with just,
you know, like let's say it'slike an origin story.
It's telling you a backstory,it's getting into some of the
characters, and then season twois showing you how powerful
these people can actually be.

(46:36):
It ended with a major scene, soit had to pick up with like some
light work.
It had to show you like a somestory building, some um a little
bit of like foreshadowing ofwhat's gonna happen in later
seasons, and it also introducedmore of the world.
You see, the the world buildingis what really sets apart the
show, focusing on othercharacters besides you know the

(46:59):
main characters that we like.

SPEAKER_08 (47:02):
Right, right.

SPEAKER_00 (47:03):
So yeah, I think season two was a nice setup.
It was a setup season for seasonthree, right?

SPEAKER_08 (47:10):
Uh MJ, do you have any thoughts on season two?

SPEAKER_07 (47:15):
Uh, I'm gonna keep it, I'm gonna keep it short
because I understand we stillgot like what two more seasons
left.
So what I loved about it was theuh lizard man, right?
Like when uh what's his name?
How do you say his name?
Because it sounds like Coitus.

(47:36):
It sounds like Coitus.
I don't like saying that word.
That's what it sounds like.

SPEAKER_08 (47:42):
Yeah, I love that word, not gonna lie.
It sounds one of those weird, like, it's like, why you gotta
say it like that?
Like, yeah, it's like uhimagine, no no no, imagine it's
like you're a man and you'recoming home from work, and then
your wife is like in bed, likeshe's probably in her uh

(48:06):
nightgown and whatnot.
And it's almost like it soundslike okay, so I came home from
work, and then I noticed my umwife wasn't good in her
nightgown, so I kind of creptover her and try to um initiate
the quiz.

SPEAKER_07 (48:21):
Oh god.
Nope.
Nope.
I don't like this word, uh, butthat's what his name is.
I I'm I'm I know that's not howyou pronounce it, but that's the
best way I can pronounce it.
Like him seeing him, like kindof like uh not um, but seeing
that that happen and take chargeand like invading the that was

(48:41):
super super cool.
That was like my favorite.
Koikitis, but it's not like see, doesn't it?
It's still so every time I heardit, that's that's what
translated into my brain.
Um, but slowly it made me feelsomething for koikitis.

(49:06):
Like I just, I was like, oh,okay.
And this was the first time likethat it seemed like uh eyes
really took the reins and reallywas like, okay, I'm gonna
delegate everything.
And so it was I loved that, butI think that's like really the
beginning of season two, really.

(49:28):
Um and of course, Sebastian.
And this just solidifies mytheory that Black Butler is
connected, and it's just SheelPhantom Hotter, and it would
make sense, okay?
Because when have we ever seenSheo really low on that girl
that that's obsessed with him?
It makes sense.

(49:48):
It just hold on.

SPEAKER_08 (49:50):
Like, okay.
Once again, I kind of wish youwere on the Black Butler review
for this.
But like, yeah, I mean, Iwouldn't say connected, but more
like there was definitely areference to Black Butler,
almost like the uh Mangaka forOverlord was like, oh hey, uh

(50:11):
Black Butler's kind of good.
It'd be great if we had a uhcharacter like that and um R
Story, something like that.

SPEAKER_07 (50:17):
And the the fact that his name is okay.

SPEAKER_08 (50:21):
But hold on.
Uh I like how you mentioned uhCL's uh fiance, Elizabeth.
And I'm like, okay, I'm rightthere with you to where like she
seems kind of obsessed and likeuh kind of annoying at first,
but bro, when you watch Book ofthe Atlantic and you see her uh
fucking fight with a sword, ohyou know what?

(50:42):
I didn't not recognize yourface.

SPEAKER_07 (50:44):
It makes sense.
Albedo, come on.
See what I'm saying?
Make sense.

SPEAKER_06 (50:53):
I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_08 (50:55):
I mean, I would say that would be more close to the
main chick from Nagra, but eh,you know, you can watch that uh
if you're I'm gonna have towatch it then.

SPEAKER_07 (51:05):
I guess if I watch it, I'll watch it.
Oh, watch it.
But uh that was what I really Iloved.
Um I love seeing like theemotional development that
happened in the second half.
What's the bad like it's there'sa lot of different different
emotions that come up.
It's kind of really complex, andI just loved those moments.

(51:25):
Um Demi Erg.
Shout out to Lademi Erg in thispoint.
Yeah, but other than that, uhoh, and don't we find out this
one uh we find out about themanipulation thing, right?
Isn't that when we find out?
Uh the princess.

(51:46):
What's her name?

SPEAKER_08 (51:47):
Uh uh, that's why yeah, yeah.
It's like uh and the tail end ofit where you kind of find out
that oh yeah, the princess kindof manipulating the whole events
where she's kind of hoping thatclimb would uh like kind of
using climb as a sacrificialpawn and kind of see that uh
creepy face for the first timethat she makes.

SPEAKER_07 (52:09):
What?
Yeah, okay, okay.
I knew I was I kind of theseasons were kind of starting to
join together by that point.
So I was like, is it seasonthree or is it season two?
But yeah, when that startedcoming out, I was like, mmm.
That's when I was like, okay,I'm I'm I'm I got I understood.
I was like, I got back in it.

(52:30):
Cause like I don't know, pacingseason two's pacing was off to
me.
I'm gonna be honest with you, sorush, and maybe I needed a
remainder, but that's neitherhere nor there.
But that's my thoughts on seasontwo.
That's all I got.

SPEAKER_08 (52:44):
Yeah, I just see unlike me, season three was the
one where I'm like the mostbuddies on because for some
reason I was so used to tryingto get past um season two
because of the whole lizard uhman thing, uh kind of threw me

(53:05):
up a little bit.
But once I got to season three, first of all, best opening thing
so far.
Oh, hold on.
Um, before I even go evenfurther, I love the continuity
of the ending theme to whereeven though it's a different
song, I like how the visuals forthe ending theme always have

(53:26):
like this oil painting liketexture and whatnot for the
characters.
I I like how not only it looksgood, but I like how they just
kept that going for each of theending things.
Like usually with uh animeendings, like it's just
completely different songs,completely different visuals,
but no, they just kept it likeoh and on, you know what, we're

(53:49):
gonna give it that sauce wherelike they're gonna remember the
ending thing, if nothing else.
But uh, I'm trying to rememberon what all happened in oh wait,
hold on, hold on.
Can we talk about how Saltier'spunishment for the mind control?

(54:11):
Um, you know, assumably I'm notshe was presumed to have
portrayed Nazareth and uh herpunishment was she had to be
Lord Ayn's uh seat for like aminute, and then like she was
like low-key enjoying it, andAlberta was obviously Joe's.

(54:34):
But uh, I also like how whenPopeitus uh fucked up, uh he was
also made to be Lord Ayn seat, and then he was asking, hey yo,
so who's better, me or Celtier?
And then Celtier was justsitting there like, how dare
you?
And I'm like, bro, like y'all,y'all kinda um tripping me out

(54:57):
with uh how y'all be this inlove with uh I uh that's fair.

SPEAKER_07 (55:07):
What is going on here?
Especially the seat part.
Like, why y'all wanna be?
And then was it more so?
It honestly felt more like ajazz, like he was just trying to
get under his hand, you know?
Like big brother little, likeI'm gonna tease you, I'm gonna
be like, who's better?
Just to see the reaction, but Idon't know.

(55:27):
That part was weird.
I ain't gonna hold you.
That part I was like, what ishappening?
And why why is it the why isthat the punishment?
I feel like there was betterpunishments, but okay.

SPEAKER_00 (55:39):
He really ain't no better punishment.

SPEAKER_08 (55:43):
Okay, like he was really trying to um figure out a
punishment, but like he I don'tthink he even really wanted to
punish them.
It's more like, oh well, youknow, if I'm gonna be like a
evil king or whatnot, I'm I'm Igotta give him some sort of
punishment a while.
Alright, well, you just be in myseat, fuck it.
Like, you know, that's some overpunishment, I guess.

(56:03):
But I didn't know they weregonna like it.

SPEAKER_01 (56:08):
But uh I didn't know like it.

SPEAKER_08 (56:13):
But season three, not gonna lie, yeah, it's still
a blur to me outside of oh, theyhad to deal with some goblins
and orcs that was happening.
But uh, so you know what?
You probably wouldn't knowbetter.
Um how did you feel about seasonthree?
What did you think thathappened?

SPEAKER_00 (56:31):
I'm glad you asked.
So, first of all, season three, this is uh an epic season
because it focuses on theconsolidation and public
declaration of power, okay?
We know that Ours is powerful.
It's time for everybody to knowthat Ones is powerful.
So he is transitioning from aregular player to a global

(56:52):
player.
This is when Dami Urge's plancomes into action so that they
can eventually take over theworld.
Now, they don't want to takeover the world normally, they
want to take over the world by ashow of force and a show of
support by being a hero and avillain.
So that's where it is.

(57:14):
Um the first arc of it, itfocused on Carne Village, uh,
and that was like episode onethrough five.
So he wants Nazareth to be like, you know, he wants the denizens
in there to be sort of like aslice of life type joint.
And he wants to also control thevillage.

(57:36):
So he wanna appoint somebodythat he trusts as the village
chief.
So in order to do this, you knowwhat I mean, he gotta first have
somebody in place, and then hegotta invade it and he gotta
save it.
So that's what this whole thingwas about.
Um, just so that they canprepare.
This is like their first stepand where their capital cities

(57:57):
are gonna be for them toeventually take over the rest of
the world.

SPEAKER_08 (58:02):
Yeah, so now I remember.
Uh, it was about them goingahead and trying to seize all
these different lands, likeRiacy, like I found remember.
Like, damn, like I don't knowwhy, but like season three felt
like I know I I just watched it,but damn, I don't remember much
about outside of that.

(58:23):
But um, yeah, uh MJ, youanything you want to add on to
what Talk was saying?

SPEAKER_07 (58:31):
Um no, season three wasn't season three was low-key
kind of like my least favorite.
Um I don't know why, I guessbecause uh I don't know, it just
wasn't in it.
I like the only thing I reallyliked about it was we get
introduced to uh Brain, right?
The Brain and Um, what's hername, right?

(58:54):
Uh Child's here, right?
So Brain shows up and like holdon.

SPEAKER_08 (59:02):
I think um that was like Am I mixing them up?

SPEAKER_04 (59:05):
I could be mixing them up.

SPEAKER_08 (59:06):
Yeah, like that was season one.

SPEAKER_04 (59:09):
Oh snap, yeah.

SPEAKER_08 (59:11):
That was like way back in season one.
How you can girl, however, Ithink this is the season where
Ring dies against Koichitis uhuh near the end.

SPEAKER_00 (59:26):
That's what it yeah, it was the the between the
seasons was so stretched out,it's so far out.

SPEAKER_08 (59:35):
No, no, no.
I got it messed up.
I got it mixed up.
That was um season four.
Season three is when um buddygazil fights Aynes to a duel,
knowing damn well he wasn'tgonna win, but like fuck it, I'm
just gonna duel him anyways, youknow, because for honor and
whatnot.
And um, this was also when uhthe dark young was also being

(59:56):
used against uh the reactivekingdom and whatnot.
Make a Zenfle album and whatnot.
Yeah, I don't know why.
I don't know why I'm gettingthese mixed up too, so I don't
blame you, MJ.
Yeah, it's just it's like I'mgonna be honest with you, too.
Overlord is a good story, but Iswear to god, it feels like a

(01:00:16):
lot to absorb.
Like, I'm like, hold on, likeit's a video game, it's it's
deep dive.
Yeah, yeah, I know, but I'm I'mI'm sitting here like Denza
watching it, like, bro, likeexplain this to me like I'm a uh
kindergarten or something.
Okay, like like I'm atwo-year-old something.
There's an element to this thatI just can't wrap my head

(01:00:37):
around.

SPEAKER_00 (01:00:41):
It is a lot, it's a lot of information, right?
Yeah, and it's also a lot ofmissing information, and that's
on purpose because it can't tellyou everything because it plays
out in later seasons, right?

SPEAKER_07 (01:00:56):
Um it's kind of almost like a playthrough.

SPEAKER_08 (01:01:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, you know what?
Another character that I meantum talking about, but I was uh
kept forgetting his name.
Uh, you know how all 41 of thesupreme beings created their own
NPC to be like their assistantand whatnot, right?

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:21):
Right.

SPEAKER_08 (01:01:22):
All right, so we know that uh Alberto, Oramari,
uh Demiurge, all of them haddifferent masters, but uh there
was one NPC that Lord Eyeshimself created.
Oh nours actor.
And can I just say that okay, first of all, this dude is kind

(01:01:45):
of cringe, in fact, he's kind ofcringe, but hey no, listen, that
drip though, oh god, he's kindof nice now.

SPEAKER_04 (01:01:55):
Oh the drip?

SPEAKER_08 (01:01:56):
Okay, I mean, like, okay, yeah, I get it.
Like, he's uh like a Germansoldier, so it was like okay,
like slow.
I I get it, but like, come onthough, it does look kind of
nice.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:10):
Did you did you watch it in sub or dub?

SPEAKER_08 (01:02:13):
I watched a little bit of both because like uh
sometimes it'll be like okay, ifthe sub isn't available, then I
watch it dub, but then uh myplayer just kept um uh messing
around with whether it uh youknow how sometimes you try to
watch a sub, but it only haslike Spanish or whatnot.

(01:02:35):
Then I'm like, okay, well, I'mgonna have to watch this one
dub.
But then otherwise like a Didyou hear his voice in dub?
Yes, I did.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:43):
Oh the worst voice ever.

SPEAKER_08 (01:02:46):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:02:48):
I just can't stand that voice.
It was it fit the characterthough.

SPEAKER_08 (01:02:52):
Yeah, it does fit the character.
I mean, I guess that's whatmakes it cringe because like the
performance made it soundcringe.

SPEAKER_00 (01:03:00):
Oh my lord.

SPEAKER_08 (01:03:07):
But um, yeah.
I feel like I already talkedabout um season three currently,
but uh whatever.
I I don't know.
Like uh I shit.
I do know this much.
I definitely remember seasonfour where shit was popping off

(01:03:28):
okay, before we even get toseason four, season three
concluded to where, okay, essentially Iran Tell was taken
over by Lord Aynes.
He um that's his territory now.
He even had to um clear up thewhole Momon thing to where you
notice how Mo Man hasn't shownup since um he showed up just to
put on that whole show for thepeople where it's like he was uh

(01:03:53):
confronting Lord Aynes, and hewas saying that, oh well, how do
I know that you're gonna keep umthe people's best interest in
mind?
Like, hey bro, trust me, I gotthis.
And all right, bro.
I'm gonna I'm gonna watch you,I'm watching you now, and then
made it sound like oh well,it'll be great to have Momon
being uh protecting uh thekingdom while we have Lord Ayn

(01:04:17):
as the ruler of the kingdom, andlike uh little did they know
they're the same person.

SPEAKER_00 (01:04:22):
Oh god, and now it's the sorcerer kingdom of
Nazareth.

SPEAKER_08 (01:04:28):
Right now, let's get into season four, where now the
sorcery king, Lord Ayn, wantedto unify people and whatnot, but
before he do all that, he gottafight the warrior king in the
fucking uh Coliseum, and itturned out to be ah damn, I
think you're like was it orc?
Uh oh damn.

SPEAKER_00 (01:04:49):
No, first thing he gotta fight is all that
paperwork.

SPEAKER_08 (01:04:52):
Well, true.
He yeah, and also um I I thoughtit was kind of funny how he had
that new drip on with uh goldenum golden red, and I'm sending
like typical fucking like what'sup with these griffindor colors
on you, bro?

SPEAKER_00 (01:05:11):
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
You know I'm a gryndore.
Um you gryfindor?
Hey, come on now.
I'm where the brave brave peopledwell.
I'm a humble.
Okay, you like friendship andshit.

SPEAKER_07 (01:05:28):
The way you said that sounded so mean.
Are you sure you're notSlytherin?
Dang.

SPEAKER_00 (01:05:32):
No, I'm not.
Oh, you like friendship andshit.
I don't know if a Slytherin andI'm witty enough to be a
Ravenclaw, but I'm humble enoughto be a Gryffindor.

SPEAKER_08 (01:05:42):
Uh don't, don't, don't come around my club
talking about it's all aboutbravery, man.

SPEAKER_00 (01:05:49):
Uh I got Kiroto's sword right here next to me.
You hear me?
I'm I'm about that life.
If you need me to slay a dragon, just let me know.

SPEAKER_07 (01:06:00):
I just feel bad because I feel like you shit in
on Hustle Puff, and I don't likethat.
What did Hustle Puff?

SPEAKER_00 (01:06:05):
You know what's crazy?
I wish now I all of us gottapass at some time.
I I know that, and this is kindof morbid, but like, what if all
of us meet up in another world, bro?
What if we get Ezeki and we gotall our lucid memory, bro?
We just meet up and we become OPas fuck.

SPEAKER_07 (01:06:25):
As long as I have a web perfect, as long as I become
Ivy in another life, that'sgotta look great.

SPEAKER_05 (01:06:31):
We can start a party.
Wait, wait, we can start a partyand call it the zone, bro.

SPEAKER_08 (01:06:35):
Wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Remember that power makes usmore of ourselves.
So I want to believe that couldbe a thing, but sometimes that
power kind of gets in somepeople's heads, and then they
start, you know, doing some wallboys flash wall girl type shit.

(01:06:57):
I don't know.
Like, who knows?
Like, you know, like that onememe where oh we got we finally
got powers, bro.
We can be heroes, and then brois like that ain't my point.

SPEAKER_00 (01:07:09):
Yo, I just need my three baby mamas, and then you
know what I mean?
I'm on my I'm on my luck shit.
I just want to fight strongpeople.
That's it.

SPEAKER_08 (01:07:17):
Okay, Tanky Usui.

SPEAKER_00 (01:07:19):
Uh-uh, my first thing.
Right, that's what I was justthinking.
I was just thinking that hard.

SPEAKER_07 (01:07:27):
Okay, all right, sounds strong.

SPEAKER_08 (01:07:31):
That's it, man.
Oh uh, okay, okay.
Really?
I do remember that in seasonfour, uh Izo Goon and the
Kingdom, and uh, you know, thegang used, uh, they have to go
up against uh Quagua andeventually the frost giants in
this one.
And eventually they uh befriendthis one dragon uh hydromon,

(01:07:57):
where I'm like, damn, like I'mI'm trying to think uh who he
kind of reminds me of a certaindragon where I'm trying to think
of this one dragon where he likeeyes and whatnot.
I want to say he's likesomething straight out of dragon
tail for some reason.
He kind of something straightout of dragon tail, but
eventually, Aynes was trying totalk to the um dragons, you

(01:08:23):
know, get their treasure.
He talked to the dwarves to gettheir room technology.
Like he was really trying to setup where, all right, we can
expand, get some more influence,um, encounter new races and
territories.
Uh, there's this whole complexpolitical landscape within
Nazareth and with externalentities, and then there was

(01:08:45):
this whole confrontation withthe Re-Se Kingdom again, um,
where Ains had uh put hisstrategic acumen to the test
after he deals with threateningalliances and whatnot.
But uh I I think it's kind offunny how in the end of all that
in season four, where okay, wesee uh that brain guy finally,

(01:09:08):
well, I won't say finally, likeuh you you would think he was on
died already, but like he endsup fighting Cocitis, Cocitis
makes life work out of him, anddecide, you know what, you
fought bravely.
I'm gonna encase you in ice andjust leave you here, and you
know, you have a warrior step ofsome type shit.

(01:09:29):
And I'm trying to think, um whatelse?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Princess uh Renaire, the littlegirl, like she pretty much sold
out her whole kingdom for Aynes, and where she even became a
demon, wanted to get like a seedso that way eventually she can

(01:09:53):
make uh Kwan into a demon, tryto uh talk him into it.
And then she ended the show withthat whole dance number, you
know, the singing and whatnot.
And I'm sitting there thinkinglike NJ, we just talked about a
podcast diary, how like it endedwith Lolan doing a whole dance

(01:10:14):
number for Yeah.
I don't know, like I thought itwas kind of crazy how like
things are kind of ramping up towhere I'm not getting all these

(01:10:34):
allies and all this land andwhatnot, so the story's going.
But um what were your thoughtson season four?

SPEAKER_00 (01:10:46):
Okay, so season four was a little bit different.
Um let's start with the title.
Uh I just got a question fory'all first.
Do you think I'm a villain or ananti-hero?

SPEAKER_08 (01:11:06):
I wanna say anti-hero.
Like I wanna say anti-herobecause like I I don't know.
I I feel like he's just notreally moving like a traditional
villain.
It's more like he he kind ofreminds me of uh the Green
Hornet where he's masqueradingas a villain, but ultimately he

(01:11:34):
doing more good than evil.
But when you actually get toknow him, I'm like, he ain't
that bad.
Like, I mean, yeah, you gottalike stand on business on
certain things, but he ain'treally that bad when you get to
know him.

(01:11:57):
Okay.

SPEAKER_04 (01:12:00):
Oh no, that is a villain.
That is a villain.
He is a straight villain, okay.

SPEAKER_07 (01:12:07):
What he's like he realizes, it's like he finally
realizes, like he finallyaccepts the fact that he wants
this.
Like it's like he comes to theconclusion, like, I wanna be dad
nigga.
I'm decent to be dad nigga.
I'm taking over everything.

(01:12:28):
He okay, so I just want to makesure this is not.

SPEAKER_08 (01:12:33):
No, no, see, I like how no no no hold on hold on.
I like how you're saying allthis.
I like how y'all saying allthis, and this got me thinking,
like, I might need to reopen thecourts because, like, did we not
have a nerdy court case with asimilar, well, a similar case
where it's like, oh well, wedid.
Yeah, like hold on, like y'alltalking like the same way.

(01:12:54):
What was that same energy wheny'all was defending Aaron
Jaeger?
I feel like Aaron's stillenergy.

SPEAKER_04 (01:13:04):
I don't know what anybody talks about.

SPEAKER_08 (01:13:07):
I like how y'all were defending Aaron Yeager for
damn the same reason you'repersecuting Aynes for.

SPEAKER_05 (01:13:15):
I don't know what you're talking about.
This is different.
That was completely different,all right?

SPEAKER_00 (01:13:20):
They disrespected they you talking about years of
suffrage.
Them people was racist.
Let's go ahead and let's justsuffer it for no reason.
They put my niggas on theisland, my niggas got away from
the island and they got mad.
Exactly.
They trapped them on the islandwith walls.

(01:13:41):
Let me put this in perspectivefor you.
Take all black people in theworld and put them in Africa
because leave them alone, theythey thrive, and then all of a
sudden, you like let's go fuckup Africa.
That is what the women when whenthe king cong of consciousness,

(01:14:05):
Dr.
Umar himself come and bring itto the country.

SPEAKER_02 (01:14:08):
Wait, wait, hold up, that's not the world.

SPEAKER_00 (01:14:11):
Then all of a sudden it's a problem.

SPEAKER_07 (01:14:13):
You know, this is why we we couldn't win court
cases.

SPEAKER_08 (01:14:21):
That does sound like uh the premise of um Black
Panther, the um first one, whereit's like, oh, let's put all the
con this one island, leave themall on, they thriving.
Next thing you know, oh well, became for your um bugging
vibranium.

SPEAKER_00 (01:14:38):
Yeah, all the black people in one area, then
everything changed when thewhite fire nation attacked.

SPEAKER_07 (01:14:45):
The white nation historically, historically, you
ain't wrong.
You were so not wrong.

SPEAKER_08 (01:14:54):
Jesus um the correct term is colonizer, sir.

SPEAKER_07 (01:14:59):
Yeah, you're right, you're right.
Oh, colonizer, excuse me.
I thought honestly, I thoughtshe was gonna say never mind.

SPEAKER_00 (01:15:05):
All the airbenders was chilling, they was
non-violent, and then the firenation came.
You ain't wrong.
Basically, it was just chilling, you know, just playing with the
air, just lying around.
And all them niggas came becauseit was a comet.
Them niggas wanted to play withsome fire, they really buy it.
So they are.

SPEAKER_07 (01:15:26):
No lies.
Fire nation really is you knowwhat you're making some solid
points.

SPEAKER_00 (01:15:36):
That's why I'm about to read the red lightning.

SPEAKER_07 (01:15:39):
Go ahead, because uh we're gonna read the red
lightning and we're gonna pleaseAaron Gay.

SPEAKER_00 (01:15:47):
I I digress, and then so season four.
So season four it's about ons.
He got his nation now, but nowhe gotta run it.
Okay, and in order to run itwhere a nation where all races

(01:16:07):
can coexist, it's important toconsider everything, give it
some serious thought.
But you know, the guardians, they a little extreme, to say
the least.
Yeah, and then so I tried totake a diplomatic trip to the
Dwarven Kingdom, but then youknow, he defeated Frost Dragon,

(01:16:29):
and his twins get to see him inaction, and then he's feeling
himself.
So when somebody attack him, itain't just a war.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Now it's time to prove a point,it's extermination time.
You know what I mean?
He had the whole princess revealand all that other stuff, but it

(01:16:49):
just proves how utterlydevastating and ant-like
everybody is compared to LordAyn's all gone.
Yeah, so he started healinghimself and became a villain.
That sounds that that's what youjust said, yeah.

(01:17:09):
And it ain't even like it ain'teven like Ayn's really trying,
though.
Because if you consider it, howmuch of this is like Nazareth's
success and Ayn's luck, or is itjust that his subordinate is so
fucking competent?

SPEAKER_07 (01:17:26):
You know what?
They are very competent.

SPEAKER_00 (01:17:34):
Just picture, for instance, you want to talk to
everybody and you don't knowwhat to say, but you got Obama
on your team.
This nigga your assistant.
You ain't gotta do nothing, youcan go play your game, bruh.

SPEAKER_08 (01:17:49):
See that crazy thing like when I just is not in the
room and they're talking amongsteach other, trying to.
Oh well, I wonder what I'm justthinking about with this plan,
and it's like, oh, surely he wasthinking about this idiot.

SPEAKER_00 (01:18:03):
Sound like demiurge.

SPEAKER_08 (01:18:05):
Yeah, yeah.
I'm like, come on, uh, Lord Imeswouldn't uh just do nothing for
no reason, like no, he he sayson business, like he doesn't do
anything without purpose, soclearly he's going in this
direction because he's thinkingabout all of us.

(01:18:27):
And just picture that, John.

SPEAKER_00 (01:18:30):
He's like, Hey, you remember when when uh Lord I
sneezed last Thursday?
That wasn't no ordinary sneeze.
See what happened was he wascalculating the velocity of the
sun, and the sun created theearth, and the earth created the
moon, and that's what hadhappened.
Oh, yeah, and then the mooncreated the stars.
That didn't no, that's right.

(01:18:50):
All my nigga did was sneeze.

SPEAKER_08 (01:18:54):
But that one time when it was like aura and shell
tier was all point mentioned, and then essentially, um, was
just talking to or like, hey, yeah, you know, I think Shell
Tier just needs to uh work onher people skills and whatnot.
Like, I need I need her to beable to handle business without
doing all that bloodshed, so Ineed to go out there and make

(01:19:17):
sure that um that's kept to aminimum and whatnot.
And then Aura took it to a levelto where, like, yes, that's all
uh I wanted for you.
Like, he was thinking about you, like he doesn't think you're
weak or anything, and then it'slike uh Aura is putting words in
I's mouth now.
Hey, you know what?

(01:19:38):
Let her talk.
Like that sounds better thanwhat I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_00 (01:19:42):
And like, look at as you progress through the
seasons.
I know you progress through theseasons rather fast, but you'll
notice Aunz has an emotionsuppressor, bear that in mind.
So every time you get a strongemotion, he gets guilty, he gets
angry, that little green lightflare, and then he just becomes
wrong.

(01:20:02):
It's because he's an undead.
And remember, he was a humanportraying the undead, but
because of where he is, he'sslowly evolving to become one,
so he spent more time justifyinglike his actions than feeling
bad about them.
And he struggled more in seasonfour with the paperwork than the

(01:20:24):
genocide, like that's crazy.
So he's he's a villain.
Uh no, he's not a villain.
He's a he he ain't a villain.

SPEAKER_08 (01:20:38):
So let me get this straight.
Genocide is bad unless you'refighting free people.

SPEAKER_00 (01:20:45):
No, genocide is bad unless they deserve it.
Did they not deserve it?
I don't leave that alone.
Did they not deserve it?

SPEAKER_01 (01:21:00):
I agree that they're who we talk about.

SPEAKER_07 (01:21:04):
I'm just asking which which which which who
deserves genocide?

SPEAKER_00 (01:21:09):
You know who you know who you talk about.
Aries.

SPEAKER_08 (01:21:23):
No, because I'm singing, like, they burn it.
No, no, hold on.
Can we flash back to what Hungesaid to where I'm like, uh, at
what point do we get to a pointwhere genocide at the end,
they're like the there should beno excuse for genocide.
That's what she said.

SPEAKER_00 (01:21:44):
Hey, look, all I'm saying is there are no knowns
and there are unknown unknowns, things we don't know that we
don't know.

SPEAKER_05 (01:21:50):
Exactly.
What he said.

SPEAKER_00 (01:21:55):
The absence of evidence ain't the evidence for
absence.
Exactly.
Exactly.

SPEAKER_05 (01:22:08):
I will stand on this field all day.
I ain't gonna hold you.
I've been standing on it.
I don't, I don't dang, my bestfriend was kind of like, hey
man, I don't know.
You know, it's like, dang, thefriendship off.

SPEAKER_00 (01:22:21):
So I like season four because of the world
building.
Um, so the Riestes Kingdom is acomplete example of what comes
to happen because it's importantfor the world to know they tried
them, bro.
They was they was chilling, theywas in their little thing, just
chilling, they tried them.
So the the simp the sim some Ican't even talk.

(01:22:43):
The overall message is surrenderlike the empire, and everything
is straight, but you resist, you're gonna cease to exist.

SPEAKER_07 (01:22:55):
So, okay, Rainer does betray the people, right?
Like this is when Rainer, Rainerbetrays her people.
And this is also one of myfavorite scenes.
Uh Albedo tortures uh somebodynamed Phillips, right?
Don't she torture somebody?

SPEAKER_08 (01:23:18):
Wasn't uh I think it was like the uh dude that I was
mentioning earlier to where hewas trying to hit on Alberto,
but wasn't really feeling him.
So eventually she just showedhim that box with the three
heads in it.

SPEAKER_07 (01:23:36):
Yeah, but um she also she goes real like, and I
know she learned it from Ibecause she started being a
little bit, you know, messingwith his mind.
Um, because she told him abouthis father's last moment.

SPEAKER_08 (01:23:52):
And I'm like um, I think it was like season two or
three, to where you know uhSebastian, um one of his mates,
Solution.
Uh-huh.
I like how it was Solution towhere there was like this one

(01:24:12):
dude who seemed like he he hedefinitely seemed like super
shady.
Like I forgot his name.
Then again, his name doesn'tmatter.
Uh like this really shady dudethat wanted uh crack at
solution.
But Solution was like, hey, youknow what?
When we kill him and all hismen, uh let me talk to him in

(01:24:33):
private.
And I'm like, wait, what?
I'm like, yeah, I mean, he wastrying to uh get a crack at me,
so I'm gonna let him get ataste, just a little taste, and
then when it happened, it waslike, all right, look, uh, just
a little black dude.
Yeah, just uh a little uh pieceof heaven, and then as soon as
he started feeling thosetitties, and then he's like,

(01:24:53):
wait, no, no, no, what's goingon?
Like, get away from me, you suckthese.
Uh just absorbed him into thetitties.
I was like, what the hell?

SPEAKER_07 (01:25:04):
I mean, according to some man, that is no better way
to go.

SPEAKER_08 (01:25:07):
So I just damn well, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:25:13):
Smother me by snooze no, I didn't know you were gonna
go.
I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_05 (01:25:22):
I forgot about death by snooze no best way to die.

SPEAKER_00 (01:25:28):
Oh my god.
All right, okay.

SPEAKER_08 (01:25:32):
I mean, uh until the rules are reversed.

SPEAKER_00 (01:25:41):
Wait, no, the rules are the words, I mean the
reverse.

SPEAKER_02 (01:25:49):
Wait, I don't think yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (01:25:56):
Y'all go y'all gonna break my brain because I'm gonna
take it real literal.

SPEAKER_00 (01:26:03):
Yeah, future predictions, huh?
So aside from season four, season four adapted volumes 10,
11, and 14.
So the upcoming movie is gonnaadapt volume 12 and 13.
Notice that it was skipped overbecause it's important to know
what's gonna happen between.
All right.

(01:26:23):
So the movie that's gonna comeout soon is Overlord the Sacred
Kingdom.
All right, and it's already cameout.

SPEAKER_08 (01:26:33):
Did it?
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:26:35):
When did it come out?

SPEAKER_08 (01:26:36):
Like a one.
No, I literally saw it when Iwas in theaters.
No, like, hold on, like, whatever this third movie is,
uh, it might be called somethingelse, but Sacred Kingdom been
out.
Like, hold on, I'll I'll look itup for you.

SPEAKER_00 (01:26:52):
Uh I thought it was supposed to come out.
I ain't watch it.

SPEAKER_08 (01:26:57):
Okay, last year.
It came out last year.

SPEAKER_00 (01:27:00):
Wow, did I not watch it?
Uh yeah, I'm still waiting forit to come out.
But anyway, because I read thelight novel.

SPEAKER_08 (01:27:10):
Yeah, I saw it while scrolling through while I was
doing my whole rewatch of it.
I saw Dark Hero and SacredKingdom, and I'm like, okay,
cool, cool, cool.
And it seemed like over uhSacred Kingdom was based off
what was happening in um likeyou said, um filling the gaps in
volume 12 and 13.

(01:27:31):
So, and that's um going backinto season two.
So, yeah, that been out like ayear ago.

SPEAKER_00 (01:27:38):
Oh, well see, let me talk about it then.
Uh wait, did y'all watch it?

SPEAKER_08 (01:27:41):
I mean, I I I forgot.
I forgot.

SPEAKER_00 (01:27:45):
Uh let me just quickly let me just quickly
cover that Jal de Bayo, who islow-key demiurge, and the entire
invasion is a Nazaret false flagoperation, of course, is the
same setup as everything else.

(01:28:06):
They go in, pretend they're thevillains, then they come in, be
the heroes, save the day, andtake over the kingdom.

SPEAKER_08 (01:28:14):
We think about it, they on some uh Emperor
Palpatine type shit where hekind of playing both sides.

SPEAKER_00 (01:28:22):
This is the the whole thing, the whole setup is
Demiurge Master Plan.
Destroy a nation, have I saveit, and then gain a new vassal
state that worship him as a god.

SPEAKER_05 (01:28:35):
I ain't gonna hold you.
Genius.

SPEAKER_08 (01:28:37):
That sounds diabolical, right there.
It is a baby.

SPEAKER_05 (01:28:44):
That's baby material all eight.

SPEAKER_00 (01:28:46):
So, and then the setup is for season five, which
cover volumes 15 and 16.
So, I'm not gonna give youspoilers because it's gonna come
out like soon, but all I'm gonnatell you is that like after
everything that happened inseason four, I want the twins,
he even said at the end, hewants them to take a vacation,
right?

(01:29:07):
And he needed them to make somefriends their own age, and they
go to the elven kingdom, andshit go down from there, and it
it sets up something very nicewhere Nazarek is just set on a
single goal, and that goal is tocomplete and total annihilation

(01:29:27):
because he finds out who isresponsible for mind control,
episode one.
He's gonna find out who'sresponsible for mind control on
Shell Tier.
What?
And then from there, the wholeseason is up.
The whole season is up.
Oh my god, elves elves gonna belaying down, like you know, it's

(01:29:48):
normal, normal stuff.
They're gonna they're gonna haveall these characters, they're
gonna build them up, they'regonna talk about them, they're
gonna be wonderful characters, you're gonna fall in love with
them, and then guess what.
Yeah, one point man.
But yeah, it's it's gonna be adope season.
Season five is full of somegreat characters that I like, so

(01:30:10):
we get into that.
Um, I and I don't really knowhow to pronounce their names.

SPEAKER_08 (01:30:17):
Yeah, I kind of gave up uh on some of them.
Like uh what was the emperor'sname?
Uh jerk name or something likethat.
Yes, something like that.

SPEAKER_00 (01:30:26):
I'm like when I'm reading the books, bro.
I don't mean knowing how topronounce names, so I give them
nicknames.
That's how I remember.

SPEAKER_08 (01:30:34):
But no, seriously, uh, the emperor he was kind of
giving up a little uh someGilgamesh uh by if you know
Gilgamesh from um series.
Nah, I ain't I'm gonna get a ohokay, okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_07 (01:30:49):
I know who that is.
Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_08 (01:30:51):
You know, you know who I'm talking about, but I
want to say for you, I want tosay he kind of looks like
someone straight out of uh magifor me.
Like I don't know, similar withthe grip and whatnot.
You ever heard of uh the animemagi with um with a ladders?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (01:31:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Magi is it magi or maggie?
It depends on you watching coverthough.
Oh, there you go.

SPEAKER_08 (01:31:19):
Tomato tomato.

SPEAKER_00 (01:31:22):
And like um uh the pre the precursor for that, the
uh and I can't find it nowhere.
The adventures of sinbad, itused to be on Netflix, and now
it's not there, and I don't knowwhere it's at.
You're gonna have to you'regonna have to look for that at
this point.
I'll I'm gonna have to look forthe one piece.
Yeah, pretty much.

SPEAKER_08 (01:31:42):
But uh yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to look
into that because you know what?
We should review that at somepoint.
Like, I kinda wanna review it.
Like, you know, Coco Gus isgonna jump on that shit.

SPEAKER_00 (01:31:51):
Yeah, shout out to Alibaba.
Shout out to Alibaba.
Okay.

SPEAKER_08 (01:31:58):
But uh Alibaba is there anything else about
Overlord as a whole that y'allwant to talk about?
Because uh, I mean, we can stilltalk about a little bit more,
but like, you know, it's gettinglate in case any of y'all gotta
go to work in the morning.
I don't wanna hold y'all for toolong.

SPEAKER_00 (01:32:13):
No, I'm good.
I talked about everything I wantto talk about.

SPEAKER_08 (01:32:16):
You good?
All right, on MJ.

SPEAKER_00 (01:32:19):
I'm good.

SPEAKER_08 (01:32:20):
Okay, cool, cool, cool.
Reading time.
I give Overlord a 9 out of 10.
He has talked and likablecharacters.
The story is fairly interesting, kind of lost me here and there,
but like I know it's likeinformation heavy, so it's like,

(01:32:42):
okay, you gotta have to likekeep up and like really pay
attention.
But uh some of the action waspretty good, like, like I said,
between what Aynes, Aynes versusClementon, Aynes versus Shout
here, some of the fights werepretty good.
Uh visually, pretty good.

(01:33:02):
Uh especially some of thecomedic moments where I'm like,
okay, I like how it has likeemotional range here and there.
I do like how they try toincorporate video game aspects
into the series.
Uh, I mean, loosely, but at thesame time, they want to make it
immersive enough to where itdoesn't even feel like it's
based on a video game anymore.

(01:33:23):
I I know I mentioned thatearlier, but I just really like
that part about it where youkind of forget that it's based
off a video game.
Instead, it's like a real world, and you just kind of like, okay.
Yeah.
Um the music bangers.
I mean, yeah, fairly, fairlygood music.

(01:33:45):
Um, yeah, like I enjoyed it forthe most part.
It it took me a few rewatches.
I'm not gonna lie, it took me afew times, but I now see how
good it is.
To a point where, yeah, I wassaying nine out of ten.
Yeah.
At least nine.
Uh, what about you, MJ?

(01:34:05):
Because I I already know whatTosey answer is gonna be.

SPEAKER_00 (01:34:08):
You don't know my answer.
You don't know the answer.

SPEAKER_07 (01:34:11):
Um we do know the oh, okay.
Uh I'm gonna give it a ten.
No, I'm joking.
It's like an eight for me.
Uh it's just not it's not.
Do you feel some kind of way?
Like, are you?
That's a big drop.

(01:34:31):
That's from 100 to an eight.

SPEAKER_08 (01:34:34):
It's from an A to a big toast in there like how you
going reneged on your becauseit's not, it's not my, it's not
particularly my typical.

SPEAKER_07 (01:34:50):
It ain't mine.
It ain't my typical kind ofthing, all right?
It's a little bit too long attimes, it shows a little bit too
rushed, and maybe I will enjoyit more if I just read it.
So that's probably what I'mgonna do.
For so for right now, as theenemy's hands, it is an ace.

SPEAKER_08 (01:35:06):
Yeah, I'm gonna be.

SPEAKER_00 (01:35:09):
You don't have to cuss.
How are you gonna tell me what'sbest for my family, bitch?

SPEAKER_08 (01:35:17):
It was kind of the opposite for me to where I felt
like the pacing was a littleslow for me, to where I'm like,
I feel like uh wait, man, where's some shit gonna pop off
already?
Like, come on, dog.
Like once again, uh season two.
I felt like that first albumfelt a little too slow for me.
I'm like, well, what the fuck isI'm sorry, but like it felt that

(01:35:39):
way to me.
I'm sitting there like, man, I'mwaiting for some shit to pop
off.
I'm waiting for eyes tosteamroll through this whole
army and shit.
Like, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_00 (01:35:47):
Y'all need to pick what y'all want.
Y'all Z-Lots is so hard to pickthese, bruh.
On one hand, on one hand, on onehand, you want action, you want
adventure, you want comedy, youwant slice alive, you want fan
service, and then uh all of asudden, anime of the year, free
rent, and ain't got no freakingaction, many action series, but

(01:36:10):
it's got a good story, bruh.

SPEAKER_07 (01:36:13):
So, first of all, I I wasn't down with freedom like
that.
We gonna sit up, we're gonna situp here and have a little bit.
I was down with like I said, itwas boring too.

SPEAKER_00 (01:36:20):
So then this nigga came out at the same time, all
action.
How freer get game of the I meanuh anime of the year?

SPEAKER_07 (01:36:26):
I don't know.
I'll be honest with you, I don'tknow.
Everybody got sentimental overthat anime, but that's how they
felt it wasn't hard and noaction, it was mostly talking
dialogue.

SPEAKER_08 (01:36:36):
I'm gonna be honest with you, as someone who
reviewed Freerin.
It's good, but I don't knowabout giving it anime of the
year.
I I I would say it's one of thebest of that year, but I won't
say anime of the year.
I don't know.

(01:36:56):
You know what it felt like?
What was that?

SPEAKER_07 (01:37:00):
It felt like one of those artsy kinds, you know,
like the Sundance fan filmfestival kind of things where
they give it to somebody whojust did a really artsy one.
That's what it felt like.

SPEAKER_08 (01:37:12):
Yeah, I yeah.
It kind of did have that uhartsy vibe to it where it felt
more like uh the perspective offree run, you know, being uh
this elf that has a differentsense of time than everybody
else.
So it's almost like uh, youknow, it's one of those things

(01:37:36):
where it felt more like, oh,well, you know, this is the life
of a thousand-year-oldadventurer who is trying to
understand the complexities ofhumanity.
And yeah, let's give that theaward.

SPEAKER_00 (01:37:51):
Let us go back in time.
I want to tell you why this isoverlord deserves an 11 out of
10.
Okay, okay.
I was a young tuck, I wasnarrow, I was narrow a
professor.
I was still on my quest to findmy niche and become a professor.
And I was watching a show, itwas called Log Horizon.

(01:38:18):
I'm trying to tell you.
And Log Horizon really got meinto the politics of anime and
how you can focus and build, howadventurers can build and become
characters.
I was also watching um damn, what's the name of that joint
with Rimaru Tempest?

SPEAKER_08 (01:38:35):
Uh yeah, Reincarnation.

SPEAKER_00 (01:38:38):
I was also watching that at the same time.
Both shows concluded and I waslost.
I had nothing to watch.
And then my friend said, Hey,you should watch Overlord.
I played it.
I instantly knew.
I instantly knew that this wasthe one.

(01:38:58):
I instantly knew because I fellin love with the character.
I fell in love with beingre-incarnated.
It's not a reincarnation per se.
Just motherfucker trapped in thegame on some on some um one of
my favorite shows type stuff,Sword Art Online, Log Horizon,
all of that in the samesentiment.
So I was like, bro, and thenonce you give overwhelming power

(01:39:21):
of a mage and a warrior, bro,bar none, this is dope.
I would only compare this to LogHorizon.
That's the only other thing youcan compare it to.
It ain't even comparable toSword Art Online because that's
more of a ROM um ROM adventure.

SPEAKER_08 (01:39:39):
Well, think about like this tough because the
series isn't concluded.
I mean, is the manga concluded?
I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00 (01:39:47):
Is it the light novels um almost concluded?
Just about.

SPEAKER_08 (01:39:53):
Yeah, see, so the story's not even done yet.
So I'm like, right now, my nineis like, okay, to be fair,
that's a high compliment for aseries that's not concluded yet.
See, if it was concluded, then Iwas like, okay, my answer would
be more definite.
If anything, it's more like I'mjust leaving room for like,
okay, once I see like thishypothetical season five, or if

(01:40:17):
I devolved to dive into thelight knobs or whatnot, okay.
I'm reading all this, I'm reallypaying attention to the story
and all that.
My score might go up if I likewhat I see beyond what happened
in season four, but it mightdecrease if the ending makes it

(01:40:37):
makes the whole thing more.
Like once again, I agree.
Let's let's not have any repeatsof seven deadly sins where first
two seasons was where it reallygasped, but then by the time it
got to the third season andbeyond, it's like the animation
got a little um weird and thelot got convoluted to a point
where I'm like, what the fuck isall this shit going on?

SPEAKER_00 (01:40:58):
I agree with a 90, but not an 80.
That's damn near a C.
A 79, and you in C status.

SPEAKER_08 (01:41:04):
Yeah, I'll give it a 9 because it definitely has some
sauce to it.
Like, I was like, ooh, I reallywant to like y'all, but like I
feel like it's not there yet.
Like, it's the same thing withum Dandeman and um Kaiju number
eight, to where it's like I likethe direction y'all are going,
and I really want to like y'all, but like y'all need to get to a

(01:41:28):
point to where it's kind of likeum blue exorcist all over again
to where okay, uh first season, pretty good, second and third
season, eh, whatever.
But then season four, ooh, okay, now y'all getting somewhere.
See, I I need y'all to get thereto where I'm like, oh, now y'all
got me hooked in.
Now I'm locked in for real.

(01:41:49):
Like I had to fight my waythrough season two, not gonna
lie, and then by the time I gotto season three, I'm like, okay,
this is nice, and then seasonfour.
Now I'm locked in because nowI'm trying to see where the hell
all is going with uh Renee Bbecoming a demon, and now uh
there was uh this one guy, uhRiku, uh, you know, with the

(01:42:14):
armor and whatnot.
I I kind of want to see himagain.
I I kind of want to see how allthis other shit played out, but
right now it's like dang, myfinal score is still uh the
jury's still out on my finalscore.
But I want to say for now itdeserves at least a nine out of

(01:42:34):
ten.

SPEAKER_00 (01:42:35):
I'm with that.
I'll I'm with that.
Yeah, that's all I'm saying.

SPEAKER_07 (01:42:41):
You know, y'all are so nice.
Okay.
It's just I appreciateeverything.
Everything great.
Um, it's just it's a personalthing for me.
I may enjoy reading it more.
That change that has changed myopinion on some shows.
Like solo leveling would not begreat if I had not read it.

(01:43:03):
I'm gonna be so honest with you.

SPEAKER_00 (01:43:05):
If I had not read it, no, Colonel Sanders, you
wrong.
Mama's wrong.

SPEAKER_08 (01:43:16):
You know, let's close this fucking chat.
Thank you for listening to us weare.
Go ahead and have yourself goodmorning, good afternoon, good
evening, good night.
Uh, thank you for being on theshow with me.
We're gonna go ahead and closethis one out.
We're gonna zone up out of here.
