SPEAKER_02 (00:01):
What up, gang?
Let's talk about Secrets of theSilent Witch.
Uh, I'm gonna be honest withyou, it's nice.
It's nice.
Uh, we have Monica Everett, theSilent Witch, the world's only
practitioner of voiceless magic,a veritable heroin who's
single-handedly fended off theblack dragon of legends.
(00:23):
However, this young prodigy isactually super duper shy.
So turns out she only learnedvoiceless magic to a voice
speaker in public.
Ignorant of this, the sevensages have placed her on a top
secret mission to guard thesecond prince.
SPEAKER_01 (00:40):
Can she keep it
together as she contends with
both social interaction and theevil targeting young boy?
SPEAKER_02 (00:48):
Alright, wow.
First of all, it's crazy howsome of these uh premises that
they do on Crunchyroll andYouTube.
I mean, not YouTube, uhCrunchyroll and Wikipedia.
They have these premises, butlike the seven sages didn't
(01:10):
place her on a mission per se.
It's more like uh Lewis, one ofthe other seven sages.
He was the one that was assignedto Gordon Felix, but he was
like, eh, you know, this sort ofthing's not really up my alley.
And also, I think Monica needsthis excuse to make some new
(01:33):
friends, so have her do it.
But uh, on a real note, goodartwork, good voice acting, and
good music.
It was lighthearted and kind offunny, but it also had a bunch
of mystery threads and a reversehymn subplot.
Just a little bit, just a littlebit.
It's like not obvious, but itkind of reminds me of a podcast
(01:56):
diary too, where it's likethere's something there, but
it's not like obvious like that.
But uh before I get deep intothe characters and we talk about
the plot, uh Goku Gatsu, uh,first of all, thank you for
joining me for this episode.
And second of all, tell me,what's your impression of
Secrets of the Silent Witch?
SPEAKER_04 (02:19):
I like it.
It was pretty cool.
Um I don't know why it is youhave me watching these doggone
romance animes.
I give me the magic aspect ofit, but just saying.
SPEAKER_02 (02:30):
Well, look, look,
look.
All I saw was, okay, Secrets ofthe Silent Witch.
All right, so it's gonna be amagic show, right?
All right, and then the like Isaid, the premise, you you read
the premise, right?
You heard me read all thepremise, right?
Where it seemed like, all right, well, okay, okay, I'll entertain
the voiceless magic, I'llentertain it, right?
And then I wasn't like, okay,well, I don't hate it, but it's
(02:54):
not what I expected either.
SPEAKER_04 (02:56):
This is true.
This is true.
It is not at all what youexpected, especially the opening
premise of it too.
So automatically shows up,Monica, she calls down the holy
white gate, and then light justrains down and starts
one-shotting dragons and wyversleft and right.
SPEAKER_02 (03:11):
And I'm sitting here
like let's keep that because no,
no, no.
Like the reason why I bring thatup, the only reason why I had
that like the uh specified isbecause I love how multiple
people throughout this oneseason, this four well, hold on,
like it's they say 13, but it'sactually 14 if you count the
(03:32):
recap episode at uh episode 10.
But uh I like how multiplepeople crossed this 14 episode
season was like, man, let metell you about this style of
witch.
Like she's so fucking nice withit, like she changed the whole
fucking game, like he killed ahundred dragons, including a
(03:53):
black dragon, without uttering asingle word.
And then Mike was just sittingthere like, no, shut up, stop
it.
SPEAKER_00 (04:00):
You're exaggerating,
get your kind of funny like
that.
SPEAKER_02 (04:10):
I'm like, okay,
okay, okay.
SPEAKER_04 (04:14):
Yeah, I mean, so
with the opening into it, I was
like, oh, this is about to be afull-on action-packed anime.
This is gonna be goodimmediately after.
Okay, so we're sending you toschool.
I'm like, oh my god.
I thought I escaped this.
SPEAKER_02 (04:31):
No, but hold on.
I thought, okay, so he's gonnaessentially be like Loki the
bodyguard for this prince who'salso the student council
president.
SPEAKER_04 (04:40):
I thought they were
gonna be like Queen of Ash, but
uh, there's very little action.
There's very honestly, there'svery little magic in this thing,
too.
Yeah, I'm like, bro, what thisis another school anime, that's
all it is.
I we got the trick in SmeckleDorothy Exactly.
(05:04):
At least the fighting schoolanime has fighting scenes and
stuff in it, but Jesus, you gota magic school anime with barely
no magic.
SPEAKER_02 (05:12):
No, no, see, that's
crazy because like we just
reviewed the water magician.
You're thinking, like, okay, like uh water magic, he could
just be doing a whole bunch ofwater magic, right?
Or I'll entertain it.
And then it turns out, no, no,no, it's it goes beyond that.
Not only that that boy real wasdoing ice magic, but that boy
(05:32):
was so fucking nice with it,though.
SPEAKER_04 (05:35):
Exactly.
And so, and I feel bad.
I do feel bad.
The animation of the silentwinch is really good, but it's
one of those series like youwould not pick this up right
after watching Water Magician, which is exactly what I did.
Because as soon as we finisheddoing a review of Water
Magician, I immediately went tothis anime.
SPEAKER_02 (05:53):
So I was just like,
uh It's almost like once you get
uh a good magic anime, it'slike, okay, I might entertain
any more.
Like, I mean, so far they umthey've been coming out like
this, but then you have somewhere I'm like, okay, we're not
knocking on this one, but it'sjust not what I expected.
SPEAKER_04 (06:15):
Yeah, if you was if
you was hoping for an all-out
fantasy thing and stuff, it'sno.
Even if you talk about the factthat, like, oh my goodness,
they're trying to assassinatethe prince.
You're like, oh, okay, so it'sgonna be some fight scene.
SPEAKER_02 (06:26):
Hey, hey, but as a
dude who just got on the whole
apothecary diaries train, I'mall for it though.
Because the mystery quads werelike with the prince and some of
the other people where it'slike, hold on, like, there's
something about you that I'mgonna keep my eye on you,
motherfucker.
You know, shit like that, theway like there's like some
(06:47):
mystery thread.
Like, you know how some thingsplayed up with uh um Buddy Road
Aaron, who got expelled and uhsent to jail because he was like
fucking around um with some ofthe business and whatnot.
And then his fiance, Selma, waslike plotting in the background,
(07:07):
and then in typical dramafashion, she's like, Yes, I did
it.
It was me, and all that othershit.
And you're like, okay, okay, Ican stay for this.
I can stay for the mysteryelement of it, to where I'm
like, okay, I want to figure outwhat the hell is going on.
And it feels like with Felix,uh, I want to talk about him a
little bit more, but like allI'm saying is I feel like Felix,
(07:28):
there's something about him.
Something, something about youthough.
Like, it feels like just likeGene C from Apotheker Diet,
where I'm like, there'ssomething about you that you're
not telling, but it's only oneseason, so that's why that's one
of the reasons why I'm kind ofbanking on at least two more
(07:49):
seasons to like figure outwhat's going on with the dude
because I feel there's more tothem than what we've been shown
so far.
SPEAKER_04 (07:59):
True.
But um they give you definitelythe same thing for Monica, so I
can understand what you mean.
On to the so I actually have notread the manga onto this one, so
this one is an anime only reviewfor me, so just bit bare warning
into that.
Um, I did go to try to find themanga after watching season one.
So I was enjoyed enough that Iwanted to watch, I want to go
read the manga, and I wound upgetting sidetracked with another
(08:20):
magical girl anime about and Ilike the other the manga that
I'm reading because it was inshort, how Monica her thing, the
whole thing is numbers.
She was able to do diversifymagic with numbers, and by doing
so, she was able to createchantless magic.
Well, it's something similar forthis girl in this manga reading.
She is not a normal magician, she's considered an outsider.
(08:43):
So we're getting some mix of uhHarry Potter into this as well,
too, where only certain peoplewere allowed to be witches, per
se.
Um, you have to be within thefamily bloodline to be
considered to be a witch andstuff, and so she's an outsider
who's extremely fascinated.
She winds up accidentallydiscovering the secret of magic
(09:04):
for this for her world, and sobecause she discovered the
secret, she wound up beinghunted down by the villains of
the story.
That's where I'm at so far, isit's pretty much understanding
that they pushed her into theworld of magic against her, like
not necessarily against herwill, she wanted to learn, but
they tricked her to do so, soshe winds up getting saved.
(09:25):
But her special ability is howMonica is able to do chantless
magic because she's so focusedon the numbers, and the
mongerine, the main character, she screws up magic, but because
she screws up magic, she windsup is more creative and
discovers new things.
So you know how Monica she'sable to because of the fact that
she's able to focus more, shewas able to create her own
(09:46):
spells.
Like they made that whole pointthroughout the whole season.
They mentioned that they'relike, Oh, the silent witch, she
was able to create formulas thatdidn't exist before and just
completely redo magic as awhole, and she created more
powerful, more unique spellsthat was super fascinating.
The same thing happened for thisgirl in this manga.
She right she uh did the magicincantation wrong on the spell.
SPEAKER_02 (10:09):
No, don't listen to
me.
Don't don't write down thoseformulas like yeah, so yeah, so
this girl just wrote it, she didthe magical um thing wrong on
it, and in doing so, discoveredsuper speed.
SPEAKER_04 (10:25):
So I was like, okay,
now I'm kind of investing this
because this kind of reminds meof Monica a little bit.
So it's funny I picked up thismanga specifically when
searching for the manga for thisanime, but also finding another
story where the main characteris very similar.
So I was like, okay, so it'sgonna be a lot of huh.
So it's one of those ones that Iwas like, I'm interested, I'm
interested.
(10:45):
I kind of like these littlemagical creation things, you
know, like discovering newabilities and stuff.
SPEAKER_02 (10:52):
Right.
Yeah, I like that about this oneto where, like, okay, like I was
just interested in the fact thatokay, voiceless magic, let's see
what that's about.
And come to find out that notonly is he really good with
mathematics, that between themathematics and the chess play,
I really like that inclusion inDeath Storage where like it's at
(11:12):
the tail end of the seasonswhere they had the whole chess
tournament and Monica had tolearn how to play chess and
whatnot.
Kind of like that to where yeahinto it.
But uh not only do I like that,so I hope in that uh there's
more to it.
(11:33):
Uh it's almost like one of thoseanimes where if you're a math
nerd, then I mean, yeah, likehe's gonna teach you math, but
then again, it's like if youkind of like really into math,
then you might at least identifywith modern, especially the
whole part where part of thereason why she uh mastered
(11:56):
voiceless math is because oh,she's so her social anxiety is
so bad is that she figured, okay, well, instead of learning
how to do those incantations,I'm gonna learn how to do it
without incantations, you know, and make it all these forms and
whatnot.
Just add an excuse to not speakto people in public.
SPEAKER_04 (12:19):
So in technicality,
I don't know how they're gonna
go into this one because I willsay, when you mentioned about
the episode 10 recap, there is aslight change that happens in
the anime that I wound upnoticing.
So at the beginning, it's notthat she learned how to do magic
without incantations, she justdid it without speaking the
incantations, and that's whereit changed halfway through the
(12:41):
anime to where all of a suddenit was like, oh, she does it
without incantations.
I'm like, wait, wait, wait.
But before it's technically, shedid have incantations, she just
said them in her head, she justlearned how to do it without
actually saying it out loud, type of thing, right?
And then it kind of changed.
I so I don't know what's goingon with that.
That was a weird change thathappened.
SPEAKER_02 (13:00):
And to be fair, it's
not like all her spells uh is
voiceless because she says so uhwhen she summoned that high wind
spirit where okay, some spellsare so strong that you have to
do the incantation, but eventhen it wasn't like long, it was
more like it kind of reminds meof buddy from uh Akasha Records
(13:21):
where uh you can learn certainspells, but depending on the
incantation of it, you can kindof tweak it.
And he was like telling hisclass that, hey, yo, like if you
say certain uh spells a certainway, then it gets like a
different effect and whatnot.
And that's kind of like what shereminded me of, where like you
(13:47):
kind of like make a shortcut onthe incantation.
You know, like if it takes along time to say the
incantation, it's like somemagicians just so nice with it
that they only have to say likea few words and just speed up
the whole process.
SPEAKER_01 (14:02):
So it's like okay,
okay, I'm like that, I'm like
that.
SPEAKER_02 (14:10):
I know we talked
about Monica a whole lot, and
honestly, that's pretty much weall I wanted to say about her.
Like, because essentially thewhole thing is she uh pretty
much Lewis forced her to enrollinto this academy to be the
bodyguard of the prince.
And oh, I like how eventually,as she was like making new
(14:34):
friends and like kindness towardher making ways, not really big
ways, but like she at leastgained the attention of the
student council and Felix.
He was checking around.
Like he was suspicious of her atfirst, where I'm like, hold on
with that flower part, likethat's kind of suspicious.
Then you have to save me by thetime that flower part about to
(14:57):
hit me.
Like, do you have something todo with that?
Uh, but then eventually helearned to trust her, and it got
to a point where he was like,Hey, you know what?
Since you're so good withnumbers, you can do the
accounting and whatnot.
In fact, how about you be ourtreasurer?
And she just fainted, and likeshe had to have her cat.
(15:17):
Uh, I want to talk about the catin the summer in a minute, but
she had to have her cat thatlike kind of snapper out of.
And um, she was like so happybecause that's the thing where
it reminds me of a pocket carrydiet, where with Mal Mau, like
she she's not shy like Monica, but she's fairly introverts,
(15:38):
where like she don't really likefucking with people that much.
But she does love her poison, soyou start speaking her language
and she'll start lighting uplike a Christmas tree.
But um that part is so clear, yeah.
That's pretty much all go ahead.
SPEAKER_04 (15:55):
I think if I only
had to add anything else from
Monica, is uh fuck Bernie.
Um kids, yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (16:03):
I want to talk about
Bernie.
SPEAKER_06 (16:06):
Yeah, I want to talk
about Bernie.
SPEAKER_02 (16:08):
Like, I'm glad you
reminded me of Bernie.
I am so glad you reminded me ofBernie.
Like, let me, I'll get to him ina moment, but uh front right
now, since we already talkedabout him just a little bit.
Let's talk about Nero.
All right, Nero is Monica'stalking cat familiar.
He immediately reminded me ofSale from a Sabrina Teenage
Witch, just a little bit.
Like, you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_04 (16:29):
Honestly, it's not
it's not even just a little bit,
his demeanor, every the way thathe interacts with Monica.
I swear to you, I think theMongaka used to watch um Sabrina
the Teenage Witch.
Because it's it's almost acarbon copy.
I swear to you, he's almost acarbon copy.
The jokes that he makes in hisdemeanor is it's almost exactly
the same.
SPEAKER_02 (16:48):
Literally, yeah, but
it's it's almost like um Salem
just had that level of Saz whereI'm like, it was cool, but I'm
like, yeah, like the demeanor, whatnot, but I'm like, I was
kind of looking for that uh samelevel of Saz, you know, like
almost like uh not exactly likeZale, but like I want to say
more close to like uh Jeffreyfrom French Prince, where I'm
(17:11):
like, you know, a little sassy, like a little under the press
type shit.
I was kind of expecting that.
But no, like the main differencewith Nero is that he's also
capable of transforming into ahuman form, usually assuming the
guise of a young man in his 20s.
Now, he is an avid reader offiction and a glutton for me,
(17:32):
especially chicken.
But his true identity in natureis unknown to all but Monica.
So, in other words, uh peopledon't really know that he can
actually do all that.
Uh, but Monica knows that, oh,yeah, uh he's my familiar.
Like most people think he's justa cat, like a talking cat, but
(17:53):
like, nah nah, he can do alittle more than that.
Uh, anything you want to add onto Nero before I move on to the
next character?
SPEAKER_04 (18:03):
Uh he's extra goofy
as hell.
And uh I definitely appreciatethough.
Honestly, it's not as much himas I need to talk.
We need to talk about one of theother familiars, but you know,
him and this whole oh, get yourhands off my woman type.
Nero's just a goofball.
I love his character.
He's he's just joyous to have.
(18:25):
But hold on, who who did that?
SPEAKER_02 (18:27):
Uh it was Nero Man.
Who was it like?
Uh the younger uh Ring.
SPEAKER_04 (18:32):
Yeah, Ren.
SPEAKER_02 (18:33):
Yeah, yeah, Ren.
I'll get to her in a minute.
Yeah, that was funny.
Uh Lewis.
Let's get him out of the way.
Lewis is a very fellow member ofthe Seven Sages named the
Barrier Maze, thanks to Masterat Defensive Mazecraft, and also
known as the Guardian of theUnderworld.
(18:54):
He has this nasty but gentlemanpersonality, but also likes
bullying the strong but neverpicking on the weak.
He receives a covert order fromthe King of Redil to guard the
second prince Felix, despitebeing part of the first prince's
faction.
He forces Monica to take thisplace as the Prince Bodyguard
(19:15):
after the latter thwarts'attempt to keep him under
surveillance with a magic item.
In reality, he actually wantsMonica getting out of her
children and wants real friends.
He's married to his longtimesweetheart Rosalie, a doctor,
and they are expecting theirfirst child to make him a very
happy fellow.
Uh crazy thing is with Lewis, Idon't know why, but he was kind
(19:40):
of giving me black butler vibes.
It was like a weird fusion ofSebastian and Grill at the same
time.
SPEAKER_04 (19:49):
I can see that.
I can see that.
He's got the goofball of this, but at the same time, like how
Sebastian just loves torturingpeople, just loves torturing um
just because uh just foranything, any given reason
whatsoever.
Yeah, I could definitely seethat.
SPEAKER_02 (20:06):
Yeah, it was like
just a little bit.
I'm like, I don't know why, butI'm like, I see both of those
motherfuckers than you in thesame time.
Especially uh when Monica hadthose little uh plac bats where,
like, just imagining him uhcoming after her if she fucks up
the mission.
And I'm like, Jesus Christ.
Are y'all really friendly?
(20:29):
Like you so scared of that man.
SPEAKER_04 (20:32):
She's terrified of
dude.
Like every zoom time it showshim walking through the fire,
him laughing evilly with hisfucking sharp ass teeth and
shit.
Yeah.
I like Lewis because I love hisbarrier magical.
I love the fact that he's um socomplicated with things and he
got so pissed off every singletime his shit doesn't work the
(20:55):
way he wanted to, or someonefucks with it.
It's like when the jewel broke.
He's like, you see, I was veryum she was like, Yeah, you seem
pretty upset about it.
Mm-hmm.
I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm cool.
I'm like, no, that nigga waspissed.
He was mad.
And then going to when Monicahad to rewrite the the barrier
spell around the school, and hewas like, someone was messing
(21:17):
with my barrier.
I assumed it was you.
It's like I had that was aspecial thorn.
You know, the the witch ofthorns helped me out create a
special barrier onto this.
I got past that with the windspirit, but I put a dummy
formula on there and said, I'mpretty good at finding that out.
But but it took me a minute, ittook you only one minute to find
out my dummy formula.
(21:38):
He was so damn mad.
I was like, this is like amanager trying to be top of your
class, but there's always thatone person who's just good at it
and it just pisses you off, andyou're just like it's like,
(21:59):
what's the point?
SPEAKER_02 (22:02):
No, no, no, no.
You remember that early JimmyNeutron episodes where okay,
Jimmy is like so good at his umgrades and whatnot, like it's
almost like uh everybody justgets mad whenever he does
something like scientific, andlike, well, what's the point of
(22:22):
doing anything if there's you,Nerdron?
And then like when he likedisappears, well, I don't know
if it's like Jimmy exactly, likeI I think it was, but um it was
at one point where hedisappeared at one point people
were like thinking, oh shit.
Well, now that he's gone, umit's like I went from hopeless
(22:46):
to needs improvement.
SPEAKER_04 (22:49):
That part, I know
even Cindy always like she was
so intelligent and was second inclass and was always so pissed
off that she would put in somuch work into things.
I will never get over thatcrosswords thing for him.
Where she was just like, hey, Idid the crosswords like I was
doing the crosswords puzzle inPenn.
It's like, well, me and my daddo it all the time in the
(23:09):
Beijing times that he pulls outand then unfolds and this thing
is she was so pissed off.
I'm like, man, what the uh yeah,it's one of those moments like
no matter you hear all the time,no matter how much effort you
put into things, is somebody outthere somewhere who can do it
better than you.
Just let it go, move forward, just do the best that you can
(23:32):
do.
SPEAKER_02 (23:32):
Don't email me that.
I want to I I believe that.
I really believe that the theannoying part about that is when
for some reason they just wantto like rub that in your face
somehow.
It's almost like in a way, Imean, maybe not intentionally.
Okay, some people actually do itintentionally, but it's almost
(23:53):
like in a way, it's like theyjust can't help but be very loud
about it.
Like I'm I'm I don't know how toword it exactly, where it's like
they're like really in your faceabout it.
(24:13):
And it's like I want to be happyfor you, but bro, like it's
almost like especially when yougot you think like just like how
we're talking, like you youyou're doing your own thing, and
the next thing you know, they'retrying to one up you thinking
like, oh well, uh my shit'sbetter than your shit.
And I'm like, well, good foryou, but goddamn, like do you
(24:36):
have to really come up behind mejust to make me feel inferior
for my own thing?
SPEAKER_04 (24:44):
Yeah, I do be
feeling like unnecessary a lot
of times for people doing that.
Like the Monica doesn't do that,it's just she just can't help
it.
She's just naturally good atthings and naturally is better
than a lot of other people, Ithink.
And she doesn't try to be herpoor that poor girl, she does
not try to be, she's just tryingto be good.
(25:05):
That's all she's trying to do.
SPEAKER_02 (25:06):
I mean, you know,
with her character, like I'm not
even mad at her because there'slike obvious trade-offs where
yes, she's a good mathematicianand she's great with magic, but
uh she's terrible when it comesto social interaction.
So I'm like, okay, well, she'snot perfect.
Like, at least it's not like uhI love it when you have like
(25:28):
these cartoons where here comesthis character that's supposedly
perfect.
Like they I remember two showsthat do this uh specifically
recess and proud family, wherewith recess, they had this
perfect kid show up and he wasjust doing everything perfectly,
but like I can't be mad at himbecause like you know, he was
(25:50):
just this new kid that just cameand went, and then in Proud
Family, there was Renee, likenow you guys see it as I know
you watched Propping, so youknow you remember Renee.
You remember Renee.
I remember Renee.
See, like she was so fuckingperfect that uh Trudy was like,
(26:10):
hey, yo, you know, can't cany'all take her back and like, oh
well, what's wrong?
I'm like, you know what?
Oh, oh, too perfect?
SPEAKER_01 (26:18):
I'm like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (26:20):
Uh hey, you know
what?
I don't even blame me becauseyou know, sometimes she just so
fucking nice with it that shemakes all the wise, like make
her make them look for pieces ofshit.
So it's like, yeah, you knowwhat?
I want to have my householdback, thank you.
And look, like, it's not theirfault, it's like some folks are
(26:42):
just really that good, but Ijust really hate it when people
go around, it's almost likethey're actively trying to make
themselves look superior withtheir abilities and whatnot.
When in actuality, you know, somany things like I want to say,
(27:03):
like uh look at the draw or someshit like that, to where like
some people are just born withtheir skills, and some folks
spend years trying to be good atwhat they do.
And um, I don't know, like atsomewhere along the lines, I
just realized that you gottaapproach these things with a
sense of humility, to where I'mlike I can look at somebody and
(27:25):
be like, okay, their shit is notbetter than my shit, but I'm not
gonna just actively tell them,Oh, my shit is better than your
shit.
SPEAKER_01 (27:32):
No, like I'm just
gonna let them be with I'm just
gonna let them be.
Like, should let it be what itis.
I'm not gonna say anything.
I got nothing to prove.
I'm not trying to impersonalparty.
SPEAKER_04 (27:43):
But while we're
actually on the subject of the
person who's being so extraperfect in the show, we're gonna
try that it'd be a perfect timeto transition from Lewis to
Claudia.
SPEAKER_02 (27:52):
Oh okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_04 (27:56):
She winds up her
introduction.
No, they mentioned the fact thatthey don't really know much
about her.
Her introduction starts at thetea party, where all of a sudden
she has criticisms foreverybody's tea.
And it's like, dang, girl, youjust so you just here to
complain?
SPEAKER_03 (28:09):
It's like, what damn
this, you don't like anything.
Yeah, a proper noble is supposedto do it this way.
A proper noble is supposed to bethis.
A proper noble is this, is theworst.
SPEAKER_02 (28:22):
I like how she was
also one of those people through
when it came to magic, and uh,let me tell you about the silent
ways.
Like, this bitch is so fuckingnice with it, and then Monica
just had to sit in at the T partthat's like, ah no, like, stop
talking about me, please.
SPEAKER_04 (28:41):
Talking about the
silent witch.
Do you know why she doesn'tspeak?
Because she doesn't waste herbreath with things, she just is
high-class noble.
Not Monica the whole time.
SPEAKER_02 (28:51):
No, so yeah, oh hey,
hey, hey, hey, like it ain't
even like that, I swear.
Like you're making me sound likea total bitch.
SPEAKER_04 (29:01):
I'm sitting here
like, imagine you getting your
dick like so hard, and you'rejust like, please stop.
Please stop.
SPEAKER_02 (29:07):
Especially when you
have to have a secret identity
where I'm like, you're notsupposed to like let people know
you're sad, which like you'relike, you're you're like on a
secret assignment, like you'rejust infiltrating the school and
whatnot.
Like I can't like it's almostlike saying, like, I can't
confirm nor deny those claimsand accusations and uh whatnot.
(29:33):
Um I can't implicate myself likethat.
But nah, what I do like is howevery time she actually does
something, not to say like shewas being lazy, but you know
what I mean, like magic wise, like every time she's done
something magic wise, and um youmight have like some witnesses,
(29:54):
and you see this wholespectacle, right?
And then they're like, oh damn, like it's crazy how.
You're doing all this without uhdoing a single anti cantation,
and then immediately they havethat immediate realization like,
wait a minute, there's only oneperson in the world who can do
this without incantations.
SPEAKER_04 (30:23):
But I absolutely
love Claudia's character towards
the end.
Uh, when you first meet her, she's a bitch, but then
afterwards you can go to likeher a little bit, find out she's
excellent with medical.
Um, she's uh Cyril's sister.
She loves every single just likeany sister, she loves trolling
her brother at any given moment,at any given time, when
(30:46):
possible.
Oh my gosh.
As soon as he comes around, she's instantly on sister
trolling.
I don't even know.
Is she the bigger sister or thelittle sister?
I don't know.
She trolls so hard, I can'ttell.
SPEAKER_02 (31:00):
All I know is that
she's his foster sister.
So wait, hold on, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Okay, so second, she's a secondyear student.
Cyril is uh I don't know.
I honestly don't know.
(31:21):
I know he's a vice president,but it doesn't say uh if he's
like second or third year.
Like I want to say he's a thirdyear like feelers, but I don't
know.
I can't confirm no deny thosethings.
What uh what up, Tug?
But uh yeah, uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_05 (31:39):
So y'all remember
when Professor Tuck showed up at
halftime and the zone one of theburger bowl?
SPEAKER_02 (31:44):
Oh cool.
I mean, I kind of knew that uhyou might still have been fast
we late, but my name is Okay, somy name ain't just Professor
Tug, okay?
SPEAKER_05 (32:02):
It's Professor Tuck
the loud wizard.
SPEAKER_04 (32:05):
Oh my god.
So Cyril is actually Claudia'suh older brother, it's the
foster.
SPEAKER_02 (32:12):
So she's the younger
sister.
Yeah, I gotta figure that someoutside.
I'm thinking like I might sayyounger sister, but it doesn't
say my notes didn't say my god.
SPEAKER_04 (32:25):
Okay, I had to look
it up because I was like, wait,
I don't I don't remember themsaying it in the show, but they
might have and I might havemissed this.
That's why I just wanted to besure.
Anyway, but Claudia, she waslike, especially finding out
that she is super fantastic withum medical herbs and stuff like
that.
She's able to identify thingsquickly, quickly identified the
fact that Monica got poisoned, which I do agree with Randy just
(32:46):
mentioning this too.
How the hell are you one of theseven sages and your ass got hit
with poison?
You knew instantly as soon asyou slipped the tea that it was
bitter.
So you knew automaticallysomething was off.
But your ass still the wholething.
SPEAKER_02 (33:02):
Yeah, like not just
zip the thing, like she threw up
the whole thing like it wasnothing.
SPEAKER_04 (33:08):
It's like, what the
fuck?
Anyway, Claudia shows up, she'slike, You were poisoned, and
then instantly identifies theeye drops because she's like,
hold on a second.
She's like, I don't know whattype of poison you use, and
immediately sees the girl'sface.
Her eyes is like really red andpuffy, and she's like, You got
eye drop poison.
It's like it's not a poison, itjust makes your eyes you know
(33:29):
look a little bit puffy andstuff.
Yeah, because it's the poison, you dumbass.
You're having a reaction to thepoison.
That's why your eyes look puffy, because you're poisoning
yourself.
SPEAKER_02 (33:41):
You're dumb bitch,
anyway.
Sorry.
No, you good now.
You do you know what you didremind me of that.
There is one character that I dowant to talk about now.
But before I even get into that, what's your impression of
Secrets of the Sudden Witch as awhole right now?
SPEAKER_05 (33:59):
As a whole, I like
the show.
I do believe that it could havedone with a bit more action, but
I understand the storyline ofit.
SPEAKER_02 (34:07):
Um yeah, we were
just talking about how like
there wasn't as much action thatwe thought.
I thought we we were thinking itwas gonna be like on the same
level as War Magician, but itwas like less action and more
mystery.
SPEAKER_05 (34:21):
Yeah, it leaves you
open um for solving some of the
issues and crisis that's goingon.
Um, I like the romance bit ofit.
It makes you wonder if they'regonna get together, is they not
gonna get together?
Like, what's it what's gonnahappen when he finds out that
she the silent witch?
Low-key he in love with thesilent witch.
(34:41):
So I mean, it kind of balancedout.
SPEAKER_04 (34:44):
It's gonna be two
birds and one stone.
He's in love, he's infatuatedwith the silent witch, but to
him, that's kind of just afantasy.
But until he becomes king.
The other thing is that heabsolutely loves Monica.
He knows he loves Monica, soain't no little point into it.
He finds out that Monica is thesilent witch.
To him, I got best of bothworlds.
SPEAKER_03 (35:02):
I was already
infatuated with you as the
silent witch.
SPEAKER_05 (35:04):
I was infatuated
with you as this person.
No, the I'm really interested inthe story of Monica Dad, too.
The all the mysteries is what'skeeping me enticed.
I really just want to find stuffout.
SPEAKER_02 (35:16):
That's why, like,
that's what I kind of fuck with
that though.
Like, it's like that classicthing to where, like, you know,
like with uh characters likeSpider-Man and Batman, to where
maybe they have this loveinterest, but the love interest
is only in love with the hero, but they don't know who the man
is behind the mask.
And it's like, as far as theyknow, they're like this normal
(35:36):
person.
So I just kind of love that kindof thing to where I'm like, oh,
you know what?
Perfect example, uh DannyPhantom, where like uh you
remember how uh that one girl,Paulina, was like a big fan of
Danny Phantom, but she wasn'treally um Danny Fenton.
I just like bro, like it's it'sit's crazy how you're curving
(35:59):
the same dude that you caughtfeeling for, but you just don't
know that.
SPEAKER_04 (36:08):
To be honest, they
had they had that same thing
happen for like one uh series ofSuperman where Lois Lane was so
infatuated with Superman, butshe was not studying Clark Kent
for nothing.
They changed that to latertimes, but where she became
infatuated with both of themtype of thing, but there was a
series.
But I remember the SupermanAnimated series when it first
came out, she was not feelingClark Kent whatsoever.
(36:29):
She didn't not like himwhatsoever.
She was like, No, uh stay out ofmy face, new guy.
SPEAKER_05 (36:33):
But no, he's saying
people with glasses.
SPEAKER_04 (36:37):
Uh well, damn what
might as well.
She might as well have.
She was curving him hard.
I was like, Damn, he dudewouldn't even say nothing to her
at the time.
She was just like, get the fuckout of my face.
And she's like, I didn't evensay shit to you, damn.
SPEAKER_02 (36:50):
Anyway, man, like
Superman.
Um like, well, I'm right here.
No, no, no, he wouldn't do that, but like he I would be like kind
of throwing my hands up like sowin or no, like because
(37:13):
technically I am here, but Ican't tell her that though.
But uh oh, you know what?
Let me talk about uh this onecharacter while we're talking
about the whole T thing, Isabel.
I like her now, she's thedaughter of uh Kermit, the
(37:35):
influential Eastern noble, and afirst-year student at the
advanced course at Serendia uhAcademy.
Now, she agrees to cooperate inthe mission to guard the second
prince and at like Monica'svillainous niece, who abuses her
to make the latter cover moreconvincing.
(37:56):
In reality, she adores Monica, doting on the Satan and even
addressing her as dear sisterwhenever they meet in private.
This is thanks to Monica savingthe lands of her father and the
lives of their subjects when shedefeated the Black Dragon of
Warriors.
She is very adept at collectinginformation and has a lot of
connection in high society.
(38:17):
Isabel and her family are avidfans of villainous characters
and fiction and are always readyto lend their quote-unquote vile
expertise to Monica for hermission.
Now, first of all, she kind ofnailed the laugh.
Okay, not so much in the dub,but in the sub, she fucking
nailed that villainous ladylaugh.
(38:41):
And second of all, I like howshe defended Monica with the
whole T situation to where uhthere was the whole conversation
with I think it was like betweenCarolyn, yeah, the same bitch
that was like giving Lana a hardtime.
I'm gonna talk about Lana in aminute.
(39:03):
But uh Carolyn was uh like wasthe one that poisoned the tea
that Monica drunk, and basicallyIsabel like trying to analyze
the tea and whatnot, like, ohwell, you know, the tea's fine.
Like, I don't know what the fuckyou're talking about.
And then Carolyn was like, whatthe fuck's going on here?
And I'm like, oh well, you know, like it is what it is, but you
(39:25):
know, a member of my family didget almost poison, so uh I do
have to talk to my father aboutthis, and uh, there goes all
your connections, and you'regonna probably gonna be socially
ruined, but it is what it is,like you know, I just can't like
shit like this why, you knowwhat I'm saying?
Like, it's it's like in a way, Ikinda feel like Monica needs a
(39:50):
friend like Isabel in her court, like someone that can kind of
like be the villain for her, sothat Monica just go ahead and
operate, do what she doeswithout having to resort to such
things.
Like, she don't have to likemake uh big splash at the school
to where like she can justcontinue guarding the press
(40:10):
without anyone having eyes onher, while Isabel like kind of
like you know, kind of like drawattention to herself to where,
like, okay, you know what, youknow what I really like?
She reminds me of Megan fromDreck and Josh, where she's
like, Nobody picks on my siblingexcept me.
SPEAKER_04 (40:37):
That's a big fact
right there.
It is a big fact.
She played she did she playedthat venom role very well, and
then was switched right back andforth each time.
And she played it so well thatClaudia really thought, not
Claudia, the um the girl, theforgot the girl's name, the
poisoner, um really was like, ohyeah, Carolyn was like, Oh,
she'll be on our side.
She hates her anyway.
Everyone knows that she hatesher.
And she was so taken aback, shewas so taken surprise.
(41:03):
And the fact that she was like,it's it, even if she is worth,
even if she is the worthlesspart of my family, at least she
had the decency to finish thetea at the nasty, disgusted tea
at the dinner party.
But she clearly got more classthan you do since you can't even
do that yourself.
Look at you on the ground likethat.
I was like, damn.
SPEAKER_02 (41:26):
I was like, woman.
SPEAKER_04 (41:32):
Something about when
high class people like call each
other out and extra fancy andstuff.
SPEAKER_02 (41:38):
Her with that
fucking van through like her,
she had her clock.
SPEAKER_04 (41:49):
I was like, oh nah
bro, no, I can't.
Jesus leave.
That was that was funny though.
That that was I laughed.
I was like, man.
But um I'm trying to remember ifI had anything else on to that
one.
Because this you said you wantedto, there was someone that you
were specifically talking about.
(42:10):
Um not over.
Oh, okay.
Well, Isabel, I ain't got muchelse for her.
I wish I had more.
Honestly, I wish there was moreof her in the show.
Like, they made it's like it'slike she disappeared for a
while, and it felt like theymade an excuse by it by saying
that she was sick.
Because then all of a suddenshe's like, I I haven't seen her
in three days.
(42:30):
It's like you're still sick, getback in bed and get the feeling
better.
But I want to see Monica.
And I'm like, okay, so that'swhy we haven't seen her, is that
she's sick.
But if she really was sick likethat, how come Monica wouldn't
check?
I think Monica would havechecked up on her like that had
she really known.
Oh no, I feel like we could havehad more years ago.
But that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02 (42:49):
In a way, not not
just because he's a redhead, but
in a way, in a weird way nowthat you said that like that.
She reminds me of Agnes fromseason two of Wednesday to where
like she's very useful, but it'salmost like she can be so useful
that you kind of have to kickher out of the story for a
little while.
For a little while.
Yeah, I could definitely seethat.
(43:10):
Otherwise, things would be tooconvenient.
SPEAKER_04 (43:14):
You're right.
SPEAKER_02 (43:14):
I can see that.
I could definitely see that.
Yeah.
But uh, now that Tuck is onhere, like here's something I
kind of want to talk about.
Uh, the whole thing with uhProfessor Thornton, to where he
was ever since he showed up, hewas like embezzling the funds of
(43:36):
the school and whatnot.
He was up to no good andwhatnot.
And Monica confronted him andeverything, and he was trying to
do the whole mind manipulationum magic crap, but she was like,
bro, your formula is trash, likeno, ain't no way this shit is
gonna work on me.
Uh, in fact, let me show yousomething.
(43:57):
Like, you see all thosebutterflies and saying, like,
what the fuck?
All these butterflies aremagical.
And he did this with nointention.
With, wait a minute.
Are you uh that's right?
And then uh, it's crazy, like hespent his whole life trying to
uh master that.
He did it in three seconds, andthen after that, I I like how
(44:27):
maybe I oh damn, like I might bemisremembering, but uh I think
it was like for 24 hours, likeit was like a weaker version of
it but I swear to god I thoughtlike so he had this dude under
piggy and homies for 24 hours.
SPEAKER_04 (44:50):
It's a wonderful
dream about numbers, dude.
Nightmare of pigs popping upeverywhere.
Oh my god, he probably woke upand never ate pork again.
He woke up a turn muslim.
He's not never eating pork.
No, bro.
Too many pigs, too many pigs.
(45:10):
This is trope, this is tropeanime that they make jokes about
all the time.
Where it's like, imagine avillain that spends their entire
life 30 something odd yearstrying to learn something,
trying to master this craft.
Here comes the main characterless than a year's worth of uh
training automatically out ofclasses them.
(45:31):
Why?
What was the point?
What was even the point?
SPEAKER_02 (45:40):
Well you said you
almost like some people just
come along and just happen to bebetter.
SPEAKER_04 (45:47):
Yeah, we're not even
they didn't even talk about the
whole chest situation.
Monica is just like great ateverything.
She picked up horse riding sowell that she learned how to
fly.
Just anyway.
Imagine that.
I picked up horse riding sowell, I now know how to fly.
SPEAKER_02 (46:07):
Right.
SPEAKER_06 (46:08):
How the fuck does
that turn into that?
SPEAKER_02 (46:12):
Oh yeah, uh, we were
talking about wind spirits,
right?
Uh let's go ahead and talk aboutuh Ren.
So Ren's Belpee or nickname Renis a high wind spirit, uh,
contracted by Louis as hisfamiliar.
She usually takes the form of abeautiful woman in a maid dress,
though her relationship is thatof a master servant.
(46:33):
Ren takes everything she gets tobad man Lua to for a somewhat
nasty personality.
As typical of spirits, she doesnot understand human emotions
and always speaks in a monotone.
She is capable of transformingto a small yellow bird, and
thanks to her nature as aspirit, she's adept at white
maids crab and has excellenthair.
(46:56):
She is usually the main point ofcontact between her and her
master and Monica while thelatter is on her mission at the
academy.
Like, okay, like I kind of likeRand.
Like, it's just funny how likeyou know you have the maids
where you think like she's justgonna be all submissive and
everything too, but nah, likesee when I was talking to you
(47:20):
about excuse me, about Nero, howI kind of wish he low-key had
that same energy Joffrey had inum breast prints.
Ren kind of takes that box whereit's like it's always Ren that's
kind of uh looking at Lua'slike, this motherfucker here.
SPEAKER_04 (47:42):
Rin is my favorite
character that the whole show.
Every time she shows, every timeshe shows up, it's either gonna
be funny or she's useful to thestory.
Because keep in mind, everysingle like every single time
something wound up happening,Rin was there.
Like every single time.
SPEAKER_05 (47:58):
Yeah, it's the tone
of voice, bro.
SPEAKER_04 (48:03):
I figured you was
gonna say something one day.
But it's it's just like like youalso mentioned, too.
She waste no opportunity, noopportunity whatsoever to say
some shit about Lewis.
Like she roast on his ass everyfucking time.
He called this the uglyworthless maid, and that makes
me wonder when he says worthlessmaid, like I'm actually curious,
(48:23):
is she actually bad at being amaid, too?
Like, I'm actually just curiousif that's the case.
Because I mean, you got reallyyou it's a familiar.
Familiar is not necessarilysupposed to be your servants,
per se.
They're supposed to just kind oflike be alone to help guide you
along and things like that.
They're not necessarily aservant, so maybe she she's
purposely a bad maid as anotherway of fucking with him.
(48:45):
Like, as much as you say shedoesn't understand human
emotion, that's bullshit.
She knows exactly what the hellis gonna ride that motherfucker.
She said shit on purpose.
SPEAKER_05 (48:53):
I'll tell your wife
that tools with boys.
SPEAKER_04 (49:00):
And then she does
the shit that would make Monica
mad too.
Uh Miss Silent Witch.
Why would you do this?
Uh Miss Silent Mr.
Waitress says it too.
Miss Silent Witch.
That's like saying bitch have tofind out.
SPEAKER_02 (49:11):
I can now see why I
kind of made that parallel to
Black Butler, to where it'slike, okay, is he really good at
the maid?
I'm like, I mmm, like, I don'tthink season one kind of focused
on that.
But imagine if it's like she wasreally fucking nice at it, and
I'm like, bro, like, uh, you gotthis one guy who looks like a
(49:34):
character from uh Black Butler, and then meanwhile, you have his
familiar who, yes, he she's ahigh-win spirit, like she's
supposed to be like thisfamiliar that uh he's uh
contracted with, but hersecondary function is okay, be
my maid for a little while.
And like, all right, well, aslong as I'm in this contract, I
(49:56):
might as well do a good job atit.
SPEAKER_04 (49:59):
That part.
So it's just it's justhilarious, though.
Because and then every time, every time she's always like
really nice with how she doesthings too.
And she's the one that's alsoone that I mentioned earlier
about oh, she really just wantedto be like, oh, is this the
opportunity to get off mywoman's stay away from my woman?
No, this is not the right time.
She did it one time, was so damnhappy with it that um that's
(50:23):
what it's like.
She doesn't say that no, shedoes understand the constant
commotion.
She puts on a whole feet, awhole farce into that shit.
She just has a monotone face.
That's it.
She has her natural restingbitch face, and there's nothing
wrong with that.
If she is that bitch, if she isa bitch, who the fuck cares?
I'm here to do my job, and I doit well.
(50:44):
Oh gosh.
Ren was like my favorite.
Yeah, she was my favorite.
Every time she showed up, I knewit was gonna be either she
helped out along the storybecause it was also her, too,
that notified that uh thatnotified her that Bernie was
being attacked.
Even amongst the bullshit thatBernie did.
SPEAKER_02 (51:02):
Uh speaking of uh,
are you talking to my wife who?
Uh Neil.
Like, okay, with Neil, not awhole lot to say with him.
You know, he's a second year,he's on the studio council with
Monica, the only other secondyear on the council.
Mob manner, easily approachable,whatnot.
(51:22):
He's the fiance for Claudia, andI like how Claudia looked at
Monica like, are you trying tosteal my man?
I'm like, uh no, uh I wouldn'tdo all that, like you know.
It's just kind of funny howthere's like this reverse harem
where it's like it's betweenFelix, Cyril, and I kind of want
(51:43):
to say Elliot, but even thoughElliot's kind of being uh
Cinderate about it, to wherelike at first he was like, oh, I
don't like you, bitches, allthat shit because he's like, he
Elliot's the type of guy that'slike all about class.
So if you're a commoner, then hejust uh thinks you're beneath
him and whatnot.
So he's kind of an ass.
(52:04):
But uh at the same time, uh hekind of warms up to both Ciro
and Monica.
So uh I just feel like theremight be that like what Tuck was
saying, there was like thisromantic subwight going on where
it's not obvious, but it's kindof there.
But uh I think I just think it'skind of funny, like uh there's
(52:29):
this implication that Monica'sum taking all these men away,
like just attracting all thesemen just by being around.
SPEAKER_04 (52:42):
I like how anytime
Claudia's like, I don't want to
do shit, but then the minutethat Neo winds up saying,
Claudia, can you please help?
She's like, Of course, anything.
Let me explain to you how it isthat we fell in love.
SPEAKER_02 (52:55):
Nah, you know what's
crazy?
They give off that same energythat uh Yu G and uh damn, what's
her name?
Um Psycho or something likethat, from um Buck and Test.
Like, almost like that same kindof energy said, Oh the chick is
not yondering like that.
(53:17):
Like Claudia is just, you know, she's Claudia, but not that
crazy.
SPEAKER_04 (53:27):
I don't know.
I feel like we're gonna see somecrazy Claudia later on, but
we'll see.
We'll see come season two.
All right, uh, who will?
SPEAKER_05 (53:40):
I mean, I guess we
might as well talk about Elliot.
Did they confirm season two?
SPEAKER_02 (53:44):
No, not yet.
Not yet.
SPEAKER_05 (53:48):
Interesting.
unknown (53:50):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_04 (53:50):
I mean, you can also
just read the manga.
I'm just saying.
But don't do what I did.
I want I wouldn't I wouldn't gofind the manga and wind up
getting myself caught up in awhole nother series.
I'm not sure.
I'll tell you later.
SPEAKER_02 (54:04):
Don't do that, man,
because you you get all the
bulldogs meme on him.
You're like, read nigga, read.
SPEAKER_05 (54:19):
We're gonna whoop
this nigga's ass.
SPEAKER_04 (54:22):
That's why I like
that's why I like trolling talk
because I know he don't alwayslike to go read the manga at the
time.
He's a he's a major animewatcher.
He'll read the manga, but inmost cases, unless it's really
dope.
SPEAKER_05 (54:33):
I had to stop myself
from reading my hero.
Like, even when I was reading myhero, I stopped right where
where we currently, well, whenAll Might was fighting one for
all with the mechanical stuff, that's exactly where I stopped.
I said, Oh, I can't read nofurther.
And I read that like years ago.
And I was like, bro, I don'tknow what's gonna happen, and I
don't want to know.
And I'm watching it, dub, justto just to make sure it
(54:56):
prolongs.
SPEAKER_02 (54:58):
See, I'm with
something where I'm like, hey,
bro, like it gotta be likereally good.
Like the anime gotta be reallygood for me to like dive into
the manga.
Like, it like, okay, sometimeswhen the manga, like, okay, I
knew about Tai G number eightand Sakamoto days before it got
animated, and I looked into itlike, okay, it's nice, pretty
(55:19):
good, pretty good.
But like, for the most part, Iusually don't even hear about
the story until there's like ananime adaptation.
I'm like, oh shit, all right.
Well, all right, uh let's watchthe first season.
Like, if it's really good, I'mlike, I might just like if
there's like no indication ofthere's gonna be a season two or
(55:39):
whatnot, then all right, fine,I'll read them up.
It's once again, it's like how Ifeel about Contechio Hitman
Reborn, where okay, they justleft it off the way they left it
off.
So I'm like, okay, no, that'snot good enough.
I need I need more.
So I read them up.
SPEAKER_04 (55:56):
That's fair.
That's fair.
That's how I wound up messing upkaiju number eight.
Um I'm I've already finished itand already finished the whole
series, but then you know theanime is only just now getting
to season three.
But still.
SPEAKER_02 (56:09):
Well, hold on.
Uh Jump Fiesta is gonna confirmwhen may it might confirm when
Kaiju number eight coming out.
They're also uh doing someannouncement for uh two other
shows.
Uh I'm kind of forgetting rightnow, I'm brain farting, but it's
like two other shows.
Uh I know Sakamoto Days was likeone of them.
(56:31):
Where like they're gonnaannounce when uh some news about
those.
SPEAKER_04 (56:37):
But uh I mean
everywhere I read them,
everywhere I read them, I readmanga in like multiple different
places because some platformsget it later than others, and
I'm like, nah, y'all take toolong.
Everywhere I've I've looked atit so far, including Sean and
Junk, it says is that it was thefinal chapter.
So I don't know.
SPEAKER_05 (56:55):
Okay, and I want to
give a shout out to Telos
because Talos told me about SoloLeveling way before Solo
Leveling came out, and I readthe manga, and I was like, oh my
lord, I need to watch this.
And it came out like threemonths later.
And Telos says, I told you anduh I I believe that nigga now.
SPEAKER_02 (57:18):
But no, listen, like
I'm all for manga
recommendations, but bro, listen, like just like with how
my list of anime just keep itlonger and longer.
Y'all coming at me with allthese manga recommendations,
like hey bro, uh I don't know.
I don't know about that timelike that.
SPEAKER_04 (57:36):
You're right,
because uh let's see, my anime
list right now, I should gotta Igot uh the count onto it, it's
long as shit.
Anime to watch is a good 46long.
My manga is uh 21.
(57:58):
Okay.
Surprisingly, that's where I'mat right now on my list, so I
understand.
Um, so I didn't wind up adding asilent witch to my manga list.
I was like, nah, because once Igot into the other one, I was
just like, okay.
But I know I really want to talkabout this chess before I do get
off, but I want to talk aboutthis chess game, so I really
(58:19):
want to go ahead and talk aboutElliot.
SPEAKER_02 (58:21):
Alright.
SPEAKER_04 (58:23):
So if you don't
mind, let me just mention this
one.
Monica's introduction, becauseyou had mentioned it, and I was
like, I'm gonna wait because Iknow we're gonna come to it
later with her and this chessgame and how she did it.
First off, I love her wholewhole thing about this.
I didn't watch Dub, I onlywatched the sub into it, so I
don't know if the dub did thisor not.
But when she wound up seeing thegame of chess, and I was like,
(58:44):
oh, so you know, it's just basedon strategy and stuff.
She said, Okay, she said, so dowe take into account the wind
currents?
Do we take so we don't take intoaccount wind currents, landform?
We don't take into account thisand this and this, and it really
puts into perspective howcomplex and detailed her
formulas are, and the fact thatshe takes into account wind
currents, elevation, all thattype of stuff, the terrain, all
(59:07):
those types of things, intodeciding what spell she uses,
the amount of power she putsinto the spell, and all that
type of stuff.
And then immediately he wentinto saying, Oh, okay, so we're
not taking into account any ofthose things.
This is just this flat surface, and that's it.
And he's like, Yeah, that's it.
He said, She was like, Oh, thisshould be easy then.
And then instantly was like, Oh,easy, the fuck, girl, this is
(59:28):
your first game.
What the hell you mean?
And he's like, Oh no, I didn'tmean easy like that, you know.
She got shy again, and thenproceeded to whoop this dude's
ass so hard.
The whole fucking chess clubstopped to watch and was like,
Yo, she's beating his ass.
Like, what is happening rightnow?
He was like, Oh shit, oh shit.
Um, he's like, I can win bycastling, but I didn't tell her
(59:52):
about castling that feel unfair.
And sure enough, he he was hispride hit him so hard that he
still went ahead and casting.
Just to go ahead and win.
And she was like, well, ifthat's a legal move, then then I
won.
Then you won.
There's there's nothing I can doabout that.
I lost and I take that.
And he throughout the whole restof the show.
(01:00:13):
This dude took that to heart.
Of the fact that he was like,Damn, she beat my ass so hard
that I had to cancel.
SPEAKER_03 (01:00:24):
She whooped this
other dude so hard, this nigga
proposed to her.
SPEAKER_04 (01:00:31):
He's like, what?
He's like, allow me toelaborate.
We go to two different schools.
But um the fact of the matter isthat we have no reason to ever
see each other, but we'reengaged, then we can meet each
other every summer and play soour heart play chess to our
hearts content.
Say, look, I'm the fifth, I'mthe fifth son of this really
high-class person, and it's likeof this kingdom.
And and and like you would neverwant a need for nothing.
(01:00:54):
Like, just I just want to playchess with you.
You do you got my heart inpatriot.
SPEAKER_02 (01:00:58):
Bro, you just
reminded me of this new anime
coming out next season to wherenot exactly like that, but it's
kind of like got that whole uhdamn uh I'm trying to think of
that other instance, but youknow the whole Romeo and Juliet
type thing, you know the wholethe monoges and capulus.
Uh I'm trying to say that otheruh the other instance, like it
(01:01:23):
was the McCoys and theHatfields.
That's right, that's right.
I remember that.
Um where it's like one of thosethings where you have those
feuding families, or in thiscase, it's like two neighboring
schools.
Like one of them is T Dori, isthe all-boys, the Linkwood type
school, and then you have thisnice, pristine, polished, all
(01:01:45):
girls' school, uh, KikioAcademy.
And you have these twocharacters from those two
different schools.
They get together, they likeBond and whatnot, but they're
not supposed to be together.
SPEAKER_00 (01:01:58):
And I'm like, and
ever since then, like every time
I see some shit like that, I'mthinking of that one acon song
where it's like nobody wants tobe us, see us together, but it
don't matter now.
SPEAKER_04 (01:02:18):
Yeah, the fact you
brought in a con.
The fact that you brought in acon.
I can't watch it.
Has any girl ever whooped yourass or something so hard that
you was like, marry me?
SPEAKER_05 (01:02:38):
No, but I'm looking
forward to the opportunity.
SPEAKER_02 (01:02:45):
It's crazy how uh on
YouTube.
Well, I lie.
SPEAKER_05 (01:02:48):
There is one girl,
but it wasn't like marry me.
It was like she's my arts enemynow.
I told you, I think I said itbefore, but every year, an
accelerated reader, I would getnumber two.
Number two.
I love reading books.
I will always get number two,and I always lose out to the
same girl.
(01:03:10):
I'll say her name, Dogg onRabbit.
She made me so bad, bro.
I was always number two, and youknow in that little trope in
anime where the main characteralways be number two.
Yeah, that's exactly how it was, bro.
Doggone Savon.
SPEAKER_04 (01:03:33):
She got your point
that you ingrained her name in
your memory, man.
SPEAKER_05 (01:03:37):
Yeah.
Savon.
She always I would never forgiveyou in.
And like, you know what's crazy?
I had joined the army.
I was like, yeah, yeah, I'mgonna join the arm every time I
die.
I joined the army.
Next thing I know, she joinedthe army.
I was like, bro, she's trying tobe better than me in the army.
SPEAKER_02 (01:03:58):
Bro, it's almost
like no, it's no no no, hold on,
hold on.
It's crazy how I said uh Isabelreminded me of Megan from Drek
and Josh, but now this wholething started to remind me of
the whole thing uh Josh andMindy has where it's like this
girl trying to out class you andeverything.
(01:04:24):
Just find that arch rifle.
Sometimes that arch rifle is theopposite.
But nah, sometimes it'd be crazyhow like they be trying to one
up you, but it's crazy how theykeep following you around and
shit.
And I was like, bro, um, goaway, go away.
Like, why you keep showing uptrying to one up me and say,
(01:04:48):
like, why are you so obsessedwith me, dog?
SPEAKER_05 (01:04:51):
Why are you so
obsessed with me?
SPEAKER_04 (01:04:54):
Matter of fact, this
is the perfect opportunity while
we're talking about this.
Are you ready, Jay?
Come on.
Let's go ahead and talk aboutBernie.
Talking about obsessed.
Oh, okay.
It's the perfect opportunity totalk about Bernie.
SPEAKER_02 (01:05:10):
Okay, the main thing
I gotta say about Bernie is that
dude comes off as one of thoseincel redditors where he gets
outclassed by Monica, and he'slike, Ain't no fucking way this
woman beats me.
And like you think you're allthat like you just trying to
(01:05:32):
trick people into trying totrick people into thinking that
you're sweet and everything, butI bet you're a real bitch on the
inside, and I'm like, bro, likechill, dog.
You need to you need to calmdown, man.
Bro was fucking hard.
Bro, fuck it.
(01:05:53):
Tweet man.
Oh, you think you all that goodbecause you took uh put out some
candles without saying anything?
SPEAKER_04 (01:06:02):
You think you're
better than me because of that?
He had straight up attackedMonica without warning.
That's some illegal that wasillegal shit right there.
That that itself was alsoillegal in itself.
You just attacked her withoutwarning just because you're mad.
That shit.
(01:06:24):
I just dude was he was tweakingout crazy.
And you the bad part about it isjust the fact that Monica was so
scared.
And then when that even thatwhole backstory, I felt I it
felt some type of way about thatone because it's like his
introduction, as far as when wereally get to see him in that
backstory, the first thing hesays is him hyping himself up
(01:06:47):
that he's better than everyone, and then immediately goes to
save Monica.
And you're like, mmm, I don'tknow about it.
Hold on a second.
Something already seen off inthat situation.
It wasn't just like, oh, Iwanted to help her, type of
thing.
No, he just wanted to provehimself better because that's
who he was, and she just gotinfatuated with that.
Stockholm syndrome like crazyonto them.
(01:07:10):
You you praising this guy asyour savior, but he was never
your savior.
This dude just wanted to provehimself worthy.
That's all he ever wanted to do.
So she gets to be the seven oneof the seven stages, and he
didn't.
Oh, he was pissed as hell.
How dare you! I taught you shit.
Matter of fact, you wanted tomake me look like a fool.
I'm sitting here teaching youhow to do quick craft magic and
(01:07:32):
do quick chanting, and your asswanna sit here.
Oh, you knew how to do silentchanting.
You just wanted to make a foolof me.
That's all you want to do.
No, nigga, she is nobody wantedto make a fool.
The fuck is wrong with you?
You're off your own dick.
I didn't know somebody couldwrap their own dick around and
stick it up their own ass.
Like, damn, nigga, get off yourown dick.
(01:07:54):
What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_02 (01:07:59):
I can lie.
See, and then he's obsessed.
Yeah, like on top of that, he hehe goes back into the picture,
right?
And then crazy enough, like, hekind of gives all that damn,
like, I wanna say not exactlylike it, but damn, like, he kind
(01:08:21):
of reminds me of one of thosecharacters where it seemed like
uh, you know, they show up backinto the picture, and the main
character or whoever characterthat he's uh involving, it's
like they just straight uptraumatized to see this
character show up again.
And then it's crazy how likeBernie, he kind of knew the old
(01:08:43):
time that uh that was uh well hehe didn't kind of knew, but he
was like immediately suspiciousto where I'm like, nah, I
remember that face anywhere.
Like you're trying to um pretendyou're like, what are you up to,
woman?
Like you trying to pretend to besomeone that you're not just to
(01:09:03):
get people to like you, uh youand it's crazy how you um come
into this academy knowing whoyou are, and what what you
trying to prove that you'rebetter than everybody just going
to the school, uh even thoughyou don't even need school since
you're one of those sevenstages?
It's like some shit like that, but like in the end, like when
(01:09:25):
the whole accident happened, like he did stick up for her,
but even then, like, bro, like II wasn't saying, like what he
wanted.
Yeah, yeah.
But hey, hey, listen.
To the gentleman listening tothis episode.
(01:09:45):
Uh, if you watch Secrets of theSilent Witch and you see Bernie,
I just want you to know this isnot what you do around the hose.
This is not what you do.
Okay, don't go around havinghissy fits just because a woman
(01:10:07):
beats you at something.
SPEAKER_04 (01:10:14):
For no damn reason.
Anyway, other thing about it isthough, it did also showcase the
fact that outside of his ups uhweird ass obsession, that if he
could actually use his mentalityfor good, he was very quick at
identifying the cult identifyingthe intruder, the who's
pretending to be his teacher.
So he was very quick about todecipher all that together and
(01:10:34):
stuff.
He was like, see, first off, youasked, Who is this?
Anybody would know who that is.
That was your biggest assmistake.
Second, I asked you for help, and you was like, sure, I'll
help you out, but you neverhelped me out because you don't
you're not good at magic, you'renot good at chess.
(01:10:56):
You're just the head of thechess club just because you're
the head of chess club.
You're not actually good atchess.
How the fuck are you supposed tobe able to help me?
So who the fuck are you?
Straight up calls it out likethat.
You know what I'm saying?
He has great deductivereasoning, you know?
He was able to fully identifythe fact that this person was in
true that was a false person.
(01:11:16):
He was injured, he was anintruder.
He was able to quickly identifyhow this try to handle the
situation best he could.
You know, he still wound uplosing that fight pretty quickly
in the end, but it still wantedto mean the fact that clearly
had he chose to be one just oneof the good guys, literally,
Bernie could have been a greatcharacter.
Just gotta get past that weirdass obsession that this nigga
(01:11:38):
got.
That's pretty much it.
But otherwise, he's prettystraight.
He's not he's not a horriblecharacter, type of animal.
SPEAKER_02 (01:11:45):
Kind of giving me my
hero academia flashback to
where, like, there's characterslike there's examples of
characters where if their lifewent differently, they probably
would have been a hero.
Main example, Yimiko Toga.
SPEAKER_04 (01:12:06):
Yeah, this is true.
All she wanted was just to beloved.
Yeah.
And she can't she can't chooseher own ability.
That was just her ability.
She didn't choose that.
SPEAKER_05 (01:12:17):
Let me just tell you
that she a baby mama can do.
SPEAKER_04 (01:12:22):
Nigga, I would be
surprised if she wasn't for you,
but at the same time, my guy.
SPEAKER_02 (01:12:28):
Uh it's almost like,
you know what, Tug?
I want you to have this.
SPEAKER_04 (01:12:34):
Are you so
infatuated with yourself that
you would want someone who woulddrink your blood and then turn
into you, but with a vaginawhile still riding you?
SPEAKER_05 (01:12:43):
No, I just like them
pretty.
SPEAKER_02 (01:12:45):
No, no, no, no, with
that, with that big ass smile on
face.
SPEAKER_05 (01:12:49):
Not not like I like
yonderades, man.
SPEAKER_02 (01:12:52):
Yeah, like bro, like
the bases that she be making,
though.
Like, it just be knocking me thefuck off.
SPEAKER_05 (01:12:59):
It's so creepy, I
love it.
Yonder, bro.
They so loyal.
Y'all, they so loyal.
I I know this.
But yeah, that's it.
SPEAKER_04 (01:13:20):
Uh okay, so uh, I
don't have much time.
I do gotta get off, but I needto I I want to make sure I have
a chance to mention this lastwhole thing.
Uh, my biggest gripe into thisshow is the pacing.
We had three arcs in uh 13episode 14, technically.
Uh, where I watched that, Ididn't get the episode 10, the
whole recap episode.
(01:13:40):
They excluded that because itlike it was pointless.
It wasn't excluding the wholeepisode.
We didn't really need it, butI'm like, okay, thank you, in
case we weren't payingattention.
Yeah, see, that's a season twobeginning episode.
That is not a middle season oneepisode.
So I think the reason they hadis because there's supposed to
have been like a long gapbetween the episodes, and so
(01:14:04):
they had did a recap in casepeople forgot.
Versus for us, we wound upwatching it with season one
ended and binged the wholething, so it felt worthless.
So it's like, yeah, it was notneeded.
I'm just saying.
Anyway, moving forward ontothat.
We had three separate arcs, andin one arc we wound up skipping
through.
(01:14:24):
Um, I forgot what's her name,Casey was the girl's name.
SPEAKER_02 (01:14:28):
Oh, yeah.
I want to talk about Casey.
See, so okay, my bad.
Like, I'm gonna make it realquick.
Uh, second-year student at theadvanced course uh from a family
nose on the country side.
She saved Monica from a runawaycarriage during an attempted
theft at school.
The two quickly became friendsafter she offers to tease Monica
forthright, also good atembroidery.
(01:14:50):
She later revealed herfriendship with Monica was all
ruse in order for her to carryout this genius plan to
assassinate Felix.
Once exposed, she disowns Monicaand is taken into custody for a
crime, having narrowly avoidedthe death penalty thanks to
Monica's pleas.
Unlike Lana, who I forgot that Iwant to mention a little bit
(01:15:11):
before we close it out, sheseems to be aware of Monica's
secret mission at the academyand merely exposed her true
identity publicly before beingarrested, but she decided not to
do that.
But uh, what you got to sayabout Casey Cook Guster?
SPEAKER_04 (01:15:29):
So, first off, in
fact, is a whole little random
lore drop in this whole thing.
So, no, we mentioned mentionedearlier, right before we really
like started, was the fact thatthere's no real plot to this.
There doesn't seem to be a realplot into this one.
The plot is Monica's thebodyguard of the second prince,
and there's people out toassassinate him because of
(01:15:49):
whatever royal thing ishappening.
It's like just protect theroyal.
But then there's also this wholefirst prince versus second
prince.
Every now and again they'll dropsome random lore facts in the
show.
First lore fact being that thefirst print, no, this is
actually not not the first one, this is just the last one that
they dropped, but it winds upbeing one of the most important
(01:16:10):
things to understand.
The first prince and his momdon't actually want the throne.
So the reason that there's moreof a protection going on for
second prince is because thesecond prince actually does want
to become king, whereas hisolder brother does not and
doesn't really care to be kingat all whatsoever.
So there's something importantthat's into that, where it's
(01:16:30):
like all these factions, there'sthe first king faction, and all
of them want the first king tobe the first prince to be king
for all these different reasons, but none of them really know
that the first prince doesn'twant to be king, except Lewis.
He's the only one that actuallyknows that.
So it's very interesting tounderstand that aspect when
(01:16:51):
everybody that's going after thesecond prince is the first is
part of the first princefaction, is not even none of the
rival kingdoms, it's justeveryone from the first prince
faction is trying to kill thesecond prince.
But he the first prince doesn'twant to be king, and none of
them knows that.
There's like, no, if he if hebecomes king, then I'll be good.
(01:17:11):
But if the second prince becomesking, he's just the puppet of
this other mysterious guy whowe've told been told her told
about multiple times throughoutthe series, have never once seen
him, never once know anythingelse about him.
Just the fact they say that thesecond prince is his puppet, but
throughout the entire episodethis entire show, the second
prince has never once acted ashis puppet.
(01:17:33):
Weirdest damn thing into thestory.
SPEAKER_02 (01:17:36):
But also another
reason why I want a second
season, because bro, like howare you gonna introduce shit
like that and just leave it offlike that?
Like, bro, like you're kindawarranting a second season at
least.
SPEAKER_04 (01:17:50):
Exactly.
So I don't know what's it's justweird.
It's like it's so much that'sleft out, and then like, okay.
Then the other Lord drop wantsto come with Casey, where she
also strongly believes that ifthe second prince winds up
becoming in, that there'salready issues in the fact that
her kingdom, well, where she'sat, the land that she's uh the
noble at does not get um heavilyrecognized because of where it's
(01:18:15):
at.
She also doesn't get heavilyrecognized because the nobles
have to do the same thing thatthe poor people do.
Being noble and being commonmeans absolutely no doesn't mean
anything there.
And so it's like, oh, okay, that's actually very
interesting.
So it makes absolutely nodifference for them whatsoever.
Um, but because of that, theyget no help.
(01:18:36):
Earth Dragon winds up attackingthe academy, which we know
Monica winds are taking care of,but no one knows that.
They all think just this randommagician who takes care of it,
who also gets no further storywhatsoever into him.
He gets introduced.
We get we hear that he actuallyhas an extreme amount of mana,
surprisingly, apparently, probably more than Monica has.
(01:18:57):
But other than that, we knownothing else about this guy.
It's like he just all of asudden dropped off.
We we we barely see him.
Anyway, um, but they wound upgetting Casey's uh land gets no
help whatsoever.
They get attacked, they have tofend off for themselves, type of
thing.
So it's become a big a prettybig issue for her to try to
figure things out, and so she'sunder the assumption that the
(01:19:18):
second prince wants taking thethrone, that she's gonna get
absolutely no help at allwhatsoever.
And so it's like, huh, that'snot actually true, but you don't
know any better because insteadof voicing your opinion to the
second prince to see what'sgonna happen, you just
automatically assume and didthis well planned out, mind you,
(01:19:41):
assassination attempt.
It wound up being the pointthat, like, literally only
Monica would have known aboutthe ropes.
Like, other people would haveknown the ropes were cut and be
like, oh dang, this was staged.
Somebody was trying to attackthem.
Someone had cut the ropes, butonly Monica would have found out
that no, it was Casey that didit because the way it was cut,
it was set to fall within acertain amount of time.
(01:20:02):
She just misjudged the numbers.
So it's like it's the mostrandom lore drop in the middle
of the season, and then we don'trevisit it again.
I'm like, why would you do that?
SPEAKER_02 (01:20:17):
Check off threads,
those loose threads, uh but uh
yeah, like see, unless we if wedon't get a second season, then
that's a perfect reason to goahead and pick up that monk.
But uh, one more character.
(01:20:38):
Uh well, there is one characterfrom the student council, uh,
Bridget, but I don't think shereally did anything.
Um yeah, I don't I don't thinkshe really did anything.
Um one other character that I'mgonna talk about, and then we
can just go ahead and close thisout.
(01:20:58):
Um Lana.
Now, Lana is Monica's firstfriend at the uh Academy.
She was interested in fashionand always kept up to date with
uh trans.
She's the daughter of the uhBaron Colette, who's the wealthy
merchant.
Her classmates call her NobleRich.
(01:21:19):
Which is like basically sayingthat uh, oh, you uh recently
came into money, but you're notfrom old money, apparently.
Just to mock her since herfamily, yeah, like I just said
uh her nobility, their nobilityuh is thanks to their wealth as
a in other words, it's likesaying basically Lana's getting
(01:21:41):
picked on for her family likebeing like self-made instead of
like coming from this long lineof nobility.
And thanks to her mercantilebackground, Lana has an eye
portrayed and also good atrhythm like Monica.
A kind girl at heart, sheconsiders Monica to be her best
(01:22:04):
friend and is always willing tohelp her out, despite being none
the wiser to her friend's trueidentity or her mission at the
academy.
And I really like Lana'sattitude towards those girls,
but hey man, like listen, like Iain't stunned up by I'm
confident in myself and socialyou, Monica.
(01:22:25):
So don't even worry about them.
I like I really like Lana.
Like I kind of wish, kind oflike with uh Isabel, I kind of
wish uh Lana was in the picturea little bit more.
But you know, I kind of I likewhat she represented as a
character to where, like, yes, she's a noble too, but it's
(01:22:46):
almost it's kind of like howpeople who are either make a
whole lot of money doingstreaming or something like
that, or if they're like acelebrity, a movie star, TV
star, whatnot, and then they'relooking down on the people who
got rich based off like say theywon the lottery.
(01:23:09):
So I'm like, oh, you ain't soyou rich, but you ain't like us
rich.
And I'm like, why you know whyexclude me for that?
Like, why ostracize me for that?
Like, you know what I mean?
But uh Kokatsu Tuck, you gotanything you want to add on to
(01:23:33):
Lana's character?
SPEAKER_05 (01:23:40):
No, I ain't got
nothing I want to add about
Lana.
I ain't even like Llama.
SPEAKER_04 (01:23:44):
Really?
Okay, that's that's crazy.
SPEAKER_05 (01:23:47):
Lana Lama candidate.
SPEAKER_04 (01:23:49):
Oh my god, you hate
her.
Lana's not that bad of acharacter.
SPEAKER_02 (01:23:54):
I mean, I kind of
hoping that she's not because
I'm pretty sure all these girlslike underage, so oh my god.
Hey, uh I'm kind of hoping she'sthat.
Yep, she is.
She is not.
She's 16.
She says she's 16.
SPEAKER_05 (01:24:13):
No, she's like 100
or something.
SPEAKER_02 (01:24:15):
No, she's not.
SPEAKER_06 (01:24:18):
She is no, she's 16.
SPEAKER_05 (01:24:21):
I mean, well, she
wasn't a bit mummy hair in the
day, anyway.
I'm just saying.
I was just saying.
I thought she was like 100 orsomething.
SPEAKER_04 (01:24:28):
I don't know why.
No, she has not discovered noeternal youth or nothing like
that.
That's why she was the perfectperson to go undercover into the
why she's so strong, bro.
SPEAKER_02 (01:24:37):
Nah, look, no, see
that's the thing, like um Todd.
She's a master.
Like, where it's like, she'sjust that smart, where it's
like, she's so smart thatimagine being so smart that you
gradually call it.
SPEAKER_05 (01:24:53):
Yeah, you say Todd's
mouth.
Yeah, like TJ Henderson, a superintelligent, a fine young
general.
But the high school.
SPEAKER_02 (01:25:03):
Yeah, think of it
like he was the world.
I'm like, hey man, you so smartyou was able to go to high
school, uh, just like that.
Like he gives you like thatsurprise.
SPEAKER_04 (01:25:12):
Oh my god.
SPEAKER_05 (01:25:13):
Hey, clip this.
Somebody clip this.
SPEAKER_06 (01:25:21):
It's a smart guy.
Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04 (01:25:29):
But no, bro, I'll
also say, look, uh, Great Gatsby
is kind of the biggest thingthat I would want to do a
comparison here into this one.
Remember, Great Gatsby, thewhole premise of that whole
movie was old money versus newmoney type thing.
Right.
And the thing about it is thatshe is considered new money.
You know, she's not from anormal high-class family, she's
(01:25:50):
new to it.
And because of that, she getsheavily discriminated against.
But when you really see it, sheis probably one of the most
noble people there.
She doesn't get along well withClaudia because she's more of an
outspoken as it is, but shestill holds herself into high
class regards.
She still does things like whata high-class noble would do.
In fact, she does it uh a lotbetter than a lot of other
(01:26:12):
people would assume, to behonest.
SPEAKER_02 (01:26:17):
Yeah.
That's the thing, is like I likeI like blind.
I like that in the aspect wherelike it's crazy how like she's
new money, but she's acting moreclassy than anybody else that's
come from old money.
You know what?
That's that's kind of what Ilike to wear, like what I notice
(01:26:41):
in nowadays where you see awhole bunch of people in their
20s becoming millionaires, andthey're already talking like
they're out of touch.
Like, they have no idea whatit's like to have um be working
on hell.
Some of them never worked a dayin their life, like they just
started streaming and they juststarted making a whole bunch of
money.
Okay, good for them.
(01:27:02):
I'm not no shade or anything, but like at the same time, it's
like crazy how like theyunderestimate how some of how to
live with less.
Like, bro, like there's peopleout there that will never know
what it's like to make less than30 grand a year.
(01:27:22):
Like, they'll never know whatit's like to uh make less than
that.
SPEAKER_05 (01:27:26):
And what you mean
you don't have no grapeful wow?
SPEAKER_02 (01:27:33):
Yeah, like you know
how like some folks I'm on, I
don't want to uh be sexist oranything, but like I saw this
one video to where like uh somewomen going on there talking
about uh how much money do youthink the average man makes?
And they're talking about shitlike they talking shit like, oh
(01:27:55):
uh, I assume they make it like ahundred thousand a year, two
hundred thousand a year, shitlike that.
And then they actually tell themthe number, like, oh wow, dang,
like I didn't know it was thatmuch, and like yeah, and then
not only is that the average, but there's a lot of people, a
lot of people, women too, thatmakes way less than the average.
(01:28:15):
They're like, whoa, hold on,like, I see, yeah, that's the
thing about that.
We're like, some folks, excuseme, some folks go around not
knowing what it's like to umfinally come into money.
Like a lot of people had togrind for their money, but um,
(01:28:36):
some folks were just born intoit, so they don't know what it's
like to uh struggle.
They don't know what it's liketo get that sleep sandwich.
They don't know what it's like.
I try to think of all thestruggle with sandwiches.
The sleep sandwich.
SPEAKER_04 (01:28:55):
Sleep sandwich, yes.
SPEAKER_05 (01:28:56):
Yeah, you got a
filter feed.
SPEAKER_04 (01:28:59):
We are very
accustomed to the sleep
sandwich.
We we know about them, bro.
SPEAKER_05 (01:29:05):
If I get
reincarnated, and I'm first of
all, I hope I'm black.
But if I get reincarnated, bro,and I'm with a broke family, I'm
not broke again.
Don't let me be no baby, bro.
SPEAKER_02 (01:29:18):
I don't know.
No, no, no, no.
See, that would that would be mybill of art to where I
reincarnate knowing about mypast, like just be broke again.
No, no, I didn't make I didn'tmake my money.
SPEAKER_05 (01:29:36):
You know what?
Marvel riddle me serious.
I'm I'm evil now.
SPEAKER_02 (01:29:42):
No, no, you're
talking about great gas, you
like no, I'm gonna be dead likethat too.
It's like low key.
I'm gonna be doing a fuckingcriminal game.
I'm gonna get my money looking.
Hey, everybody else, hey, hey, hey, stop stop asking the wrong
question.
Like, don't worry about wherethis money comes from.
SPEAKER_05 (01:29:58):
Yeah, as soon as I
look around at the baby.
See, I'm broke.
I'm living in a shack orsomething like that.
You might as well title my animeReincarnated as a Demon Lord.
I'm killing everybody, man.
SPEAKER_02 (01:30:10):
That was I won't
tell anybody that won the
lottery, but there will be some.
SPEAKER_04 (01:30:15):
That's another
broken poor person, so I became
a demon lord.
I can see the title now.
SPEAKER_05 (01:30:20):
Yeah, that is good.
If I pull up in the DeLorean, you know what I mean?
You already know what the youknow what?
SPEAKER_02 (01:30:29):
Crazy enough.
Um that's a good one.
SPEAKER_05 (01:30:30):
I'm like, where's my
flux capacitor?
SPEAKER_02 (01:30:34):
No, see, that's
literally the plot to that one
anime that I was recommending uhlast time.
Uh I became uh an evil integralat the overlord, some some shit
like that.
Uh I'm trying to uh think whatwas that?
And that was the plot?
No, see, here's the thing.
(01:30:54):
He got reincarnated, right?
Because his uh wife was cheatingon him with his boss, his boss
was uh framing him forembezzlement, his own daughter
didn't even like him that much.
He ended up um losingeverything, like he was like on
the brink of death and whatnot.
Like he was um set up to bereincarnated, and when he did
choose to reincarnate, he becamepart of this world where there's
(01:31:18):
like magic and mecca andwhatnot.
But he was like, nah, fuck allthat.
I'm gonna start my villain art.
He literally that he's that'sunderstandable, bro.
SPEAKER_05 (01:31:26):
It's completely
understandable.
SPEAKER_02 (01:31:28):
Hold on, I'm I'm
gonna um try to bring up because
I did it for anime lightning, but I'm trying to remember the
title for it again.
As soon as I figure it out, holdon.
But uh, Cook Guys, you want toadd on to any of this before?
SPEAKER_01 (01:31:47):
I figured um the
name is anime that I'm trying to
look up here.
SPEAKER_04 (01:31:52):
I'm just sitting
here trying to laugh my behind
off is not since uh no, there'sreally not much to add on to the
anime.
I mean, we touched based onpretty much all the main
important characters.
Uh again, like I mentioned, there's a lot of characters that
I wish we got more.
Um it's kind of sad that wedidn't, but it kind of is what
it is at this point.
The main thing is to just moveforward to kind of seeing what
(01:32:13):
happens for season two.
What's your rating?
Uh okay, oh I got it.
SPEAKER_02 (01:32:21):
I I had it, I had it
pretty much.
Uh, it's on the evil lore ofIntergaladic Empire.
I just wanted to make sure I hadit right.
Gotcha.
SPEAKER_05 (01:32:30):
Yeah, I'm gonna
check that out right after this.
SPEAKER_02 (01:32:33):
Yeah, I give it an
8.5.
It got potential.
I like it.
I mean, I just wish there waslike more action to it, and I
just hope that if it does comewith a season two or whatnot, it
just kind of helped uh kind ofextend those mystery threads
that they love.
Because I feel like they likesee, my main thing is uh, I know
Tucky joined on a little later, but my main thing is the prince
(01:32:57):
himself to where like he kind ofknows more than he's letting on,
but he's not really uh lettingus, the audience, know what he
knows.
So it's like what's going on.
That's what's going on with you.
SPEAKER_05 (01:33:08):
The prince ain't
stupid, bro.
SPEAKER_02 (01:33:10):
Yeah, like he knows.
I'm like, hold on, like you knowsomething.
SPEAKER_05 (01:33:14):
Oh, you side, huh?
Yeah.
Oh, damn, you know how to castspells without using words, huh?
Yeah, and you the same size asthe the witch I seen in the
woods when I was hiding behind atree.
What you think your name wasagain, Monica?
(01:33:35):
Yeah, yeah, he started beingnice to her after that.
Hell yeah.
My name is Ike, it is.
SPEAKER_04 (01:33:49):
We're not talking
about the creep factor that this
dude has.
SPEAKER_05 (01:33:51):
Oh Ike Turner.
He didn't say what his last namewas.
So I'm assuming it was IkeTurner.
B her ass.
SPEAKER_04 (01:33:59):
Usually the way
these anime go is that the
prince's last name is the nameof the kingdom.
SPEAKER_02 (01:34:05):
So yeah, yeah, yeah.
He did say it.
Uh it was his full.
That is true.
Yeah.
But uh, yeah, like I give it an8.5.
SPEAKER_01 (01:34:16):
It looked it was it
was decent.
Like, it just I just wish therewas a little bit more.
unknown (01:34:20):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_04 (01:34:20):
So for me, tuck what
you say.
SPEAKER_05 (01:34:24):
Um, it didn't have a
lot of baby mamas in it.
Um it did have some nice animeart style.
The soundtrack I think couldhave been better.
Um, but overall, I do give itabout an 8.3.
SPEAKER_02 (01:34:40):
All right, fair
enough.
So I'm gonna say an average ofan eight, like a good eight.
It was fairly good for what itwas.
SPEAKER_05 (01:34:49):
I'm really excited
for season two.
It all the mysteries, bro.
That's the only reason that I'mso excited.
SPEAKER_02 (01:34:55):
Yeah, that's it.
Alright, is that is that all?
Yeah, yeah, that's it.
Alrighty, all right.
Well, that's it for us on theSecrets of the Silent Witch.
Uh, hopefully we get a secondseason, like we said, and um
yeah, let's just go ahead andhave yourself a good morning,
(01:35:16):
good afternoon, good evening, and good night.
And what the hell is that talk?
SPEAKER_05 (01:35:21):
My baby mama, she's
laid next to me.
SPEAKER_00 (01:35:24):
Good lord.
SPEAKER_05 (01:35:25):
What the fuck is
breaking out of Dr.
Mock?
This is my baby mama.
Did you get a body pillow?
Cut off the recording.
See a regular pillow.
Hold on.
SPEAKER_04 (01:35:35):
Cut off the
recording.
SPEAKER_02 (01:35:37):
Yeah, uh, stay
nerdy.
Remember that great things arecoming.
We're zoning out of here.
What the flying fuck talking.
SPEAKER_05 (01:35:44):
I got one more.
I got that cool too.
unknown (01:35:47):
Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02 (01:35:48):
Cut the recording.
Yeah, I'm I'm done.
I'm done.
