We dive into Sentai Red Isekai, a unique anime that transports a Power Ranger to a fantasy world where his transformation powers baffle local magic users. The series blends tokusatsu action with isekai adventure, creating something fresh yet nostalgic.

• Togo Asagaki (Red Ranger) gets transported to another world while fighting a villain
• He joins forces with sorceress Yidra, Princess Teltina, and knight Lo-G
• His "bond energy" powers and ability to summon mecha make no sense to magic users
• Episode 7 introduces Rania, an elf with Kamen Rider-inspired transformation abilities
• The show functions as a loving parody of Super Sentai and other tokusatsu franchises
• Though initially seeming formulaic, the show finds its footing around episode 4
• Numerous references to Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, and other tokusatsu properties
• The series builds toward a confrontation with a demon queen
• Character development adds surprising depth to what could be a one-note concept
• Strong potential for a second season that could introduce more tokusatsu elements

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Red Ranger becomes an adventurer in another world,
also known as Sentai Red Isekai, leading a Sentai team on Earth.
Togo Asagaki has the ability tochange the world,
unintentionally, gets warpedinto a fantastical world while
facing off against the supervillain, breakup King.

(00:23):
Unable to find a way home, hejoins the forces with the
sorceress Yidra Arvon, who wantsto prove herself and restore
her family.
Honor Princess Teltina, lizGuadalquivir Alvarez, who claims
to stop demon seeds frompossessing people, and Lo-g.

(00:43):
Missed Princess tells Tina'sbodyguard, who is enamored of
her and envious of Togo forupstaging him and appearing to
grow close to her.
Togo frequently frustrates oramazes people because he lacks
subtlety and common sense and isunable to hold back in battle,
and frequently vaporizesmonsters, preventing his

(01:03):
comrades from selling their bodyparts on siri.
And additionally, histransformation powers and
weapons and ability to summon amecha are not magical in nature
and makes no sense to magicusers.
Now here's my thing.
Togo is your typicalprotagonist that's big on the

(01:24):
power of friendship, but onceyou get to know him, you'll see
that he's not as one-dimensionalas you and I may have initially
thought you know.
Between biological parentsfighting with his adopted
brother, fear of being alone,he's black Idra.
She's this well endowed magethat has the most realistic

(01:49):
perspective on Red's logic andrange of powers.
Despite his eccentric behavior, she catches feelings for him,
as Idra has a dream that Redsupports with full passion.
Were Red and Idra bonding inepisode 6 With full passion?
And um, were Red and YidraBonding in episode 6.
I understand doing it For thesake of developing a new

(02:11):
technique, but if so I'm kind ofsurprised and impressed Like
damn that soon.
So Tina, she's a princess thattends to be as optimistic as Red
and she tends to be verysupportive and direct about how
she loves Red and Yidra's bond, developing Low-G, like I said

(02:35):
before, a knight in the serviceof Teltina, very loyal to the
princess but also quiteantagonizing to Red, even
envious.
His sword is very interesting, having different forms and
powers.
Later on we get introduced toRania, who is this elf from the
Sunforge whose involvementspiced things up, with her
having similar abilities to Red,but Egyptian thing.

(02:57):
It's more like a common rite.
It's not like powering, butmore like a common rite.
Her people prophesied thearrival of Kizuna Red and
immediately treated him like agod.
Rania used to wear masks tohide her timid nature, but after
befriending Azir she only wearsa mask when it's in her

(03:21):
transformed state.
You do get a good amount ofscreen time with kizuna blue,
green, yellow, pink, even silver, and later the adopted brother
becomes kizuna white somehow.
I hope to see more of them.
Breast and peace silver.
The story kind of goes down thedefeat the demon king trope.

(03:44):
Well, I can't complain thistime around because it's a demon
queen this time.
Okay.
Okay, I had I had questionsabout the implications of red
having access to the kizunabeast and the power grid, but

(04:04):
that was answered in episode 12.
The opening theme song goes kindof hard.
The dialogue varies from cheesyto genuinely hilarious, but of
course, as a power ranger fan,I'm all for it.
The design for the kizuna 5 andthe kizuna beats are pretty
decent.
The show is fairly entertainingwhile retaining that Super

(04:27):
Sentai energy between the dramasubplots and the monster of the
wheat formula.
Like, seriously, miffy Mousehas a relationship with Ender
Monster For real.
It doesn't help that Disney isdeveloping that new power of the
show, either a new power ofthis show, either.
I am really looking forward toa hypothetical second season

(04:47):
expanding on these developments, even though it wasn't announced
yet.
But the way things left off,I'm really hoping for a season
two.
Right now I'm giving it an 8.5out of 10.
Alright, kokugatsu and TalosGundam.

(05:10):
Let's see how y'all feel aboutSentai Red Isekai.
Let's start it off withKokugatsu.
How you feeling about it.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Man, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought.
I'm not gonna lie to you.
In the first two, threeepisodes I wasn't sure if this
was going to be the show for me.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I was honestly thinking the first two episodes
kind of like cookie cutter, copypaste type shit, but then the
more developed I was like, ohyeah, okay, I can see the sauce
now.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
But you know how I am .
For me it's a three.
I like to do three episodesbefore I really cut something
off type of thing, but you hadinvited me to do this podcast,
so, on a normal situation thisis a weird thing into this.
On the third episode, I waslike I don't know what this is
gonna be.
For me, though, like, asidefrom the fact I'm like okay, I
get the general idea of what thestory's supposed to be, he's a

(06:06):
kind of another world.
His power is based on friendshipthey call it bonds and I'm like
, okay, yeah, but there wasnothing that absolutely grasped
my attention, at least untilepisode four.
Episode four is when it finallystarted really getting my
attention, because at first I'mjust sitting here like, okay, I

(06:29):
mean, clearly she loves him andyou know what's gonna happen.
They journey into the dungeon.
Oh, okay, now we actually havean actual like big boss
character that is difficult tofight.
Red range was getting his red,was getting his ass whooped, and
I'm like, okay, now it feelslike it's about to do something.
Now it feels like there'ssomething that's really
happening.
The jokes were actually toocorny to me, and this is one of

(06:52):
the weird ones, because I'msitting here.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Like I love Power Rangers as a kid, that's the
thing I was thinking, the samething.
I'm like, bro, this dialogue iscorny as fuck.
But a Power Rangers fan, thisis nothing new, so I can't
complain.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Right.
And so I love Power Rangers, Ilove fucking Voltron, because
it's a mix of both of those LikeI love that there's elements
into both of those moments, andso I'm just like, yeah, I get my
Power Rangers, but I'm alsofeeling Voltron vibes.
I'm feeling like I'm feelingsome really good, I can feel
some good stuff into it.
But yeah, it was just, it wastoo corny.

(07:27):
Like this is one of those onesI'm just like okay, just like
when with Duke Nukem, duke NukemForever and shit, when that
came out, it came out years toolate.
It was like you putting 80scorny jokes into like the 2020s
era.
And we're like this, we waypast these crude jokes.

(07:48):
These ain't.
This is not funny anymore.
This is now just okay.
That's just plain disgusting.
I'm not really here for thattype of thing.
Like you know, you gotta growwith the program type.
So I wasn't sure, like maybetalos might explain a little bit
more.
As far as into the manga, maybethe manga is older.
If it's not older, then maybejust the.
Maybe the mangaka he's like abig, he was a big fan of like

(08:09):
kind of the older jokes andstuff.
It's just, it took a minute forme.
It took a real hot minute forme to really like say, oh, I'm
into this, oh, I can watch this,oh, I got this type of thing
you want to know what the crazything is like nowadays.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I'm to a point where you know like netflix kind of
spoiled me on this one, where, like I wait until the whole
season's done to go ahead andlike immerse myself into it,
like I usually say, and really Iwant to say I was ready to be
like oh man, like don't tell meit's like OK, it has something
going, but like it wasn't allthat special up until I saw a

(08:52):
fucking screenshot of keys in ablock and I was like, excuse me,
keys in a black, and I was likewhoa, what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, so it takes a minute.
So so this one it does take alittle bit more building and I
don't know, like I said tells meI have more insight into this
one.
I do because I'm I'm reallystarting to get more into
reading manga right now.
Like I read a manga right nowcalled ultimate exorcist and
shit.
That shit's fucking fantasticas hell.
But anyway, um, I'm reallystarting to get back into

(09:23):
reading manga again because it'sbecome a little bit more
difficult for me watching animeas much now, and so it's like I
haven't picked up Red RangerYusaka as far as the manga per
se.
I've only picked it up as justthe anime itself.
So mostly most of my referencesand things that I got is just
strictly onto that one.

(09:44):
But this one takes a little bitmore of a build up.
I don't know if that's a mangaas well or if that's just anime.
If that's just anime, come onright, stick with the program.
It's already pre-written.
Just stick with the formulathat's given.
Stop changing up shit, becausethis was one that I was not sure
if I was going to continue, andthat's a sad one for me,
because I do enjoy it.

(10:06):
I'm not going to give this ahigh rating per se, honestly.
But this is one of those onesof just like once you get past
that slow buildup, it isenjoyable.
The jokes do start gettingbetter.
After episode four Things are alittle bit better into it.
I do like how we finally startgetting references back.

(10:29):
There's a hell of a lot of damnflashbacks.
In this sense there's almost asmuch flashbacks as that one
Friday anime that we hadreviewed that long ago when I
almost felt like is the entireanime about to be flashbacks?
Are we going to continue thestory Right?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
right right.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I was like trying to remember which one was that.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Right, right right.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
So are we going to continue the story or are we
going to be just a flashback, central right now, like what's
about to happen?
But I do like some of theflashbacks that do continue the
story.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, like if it was like, okay, give us a little bit
of he's in a blue, green, yellow, pink and what they had
going on before he got thisplace into this other world, and
I'm like, okay, that's fine,like a little backstory,
especially in the first season.
That's fair, right, because Iwant to feel something for these
characters, um, like kind of inthe beginning, so that way it's

(11:25):
like, okay, it's not like youput this character late into the
story and you expect me to careabout this person If anything
goes wrong.
I'm going to.
He's like a throwaway character.
It's like you introduced himtoo late.
It's like I don't know.
So I'm like, okay.
And, by the way, episode 12, Ilike how, when I was watching
the whole thing, I was askingthis one question If he can

(11:49):
summon the keys and the beasts,do the other rangers know that
they're being transported to?
the world but episode 12, theyactually go into that and it's
like, oh, I see that these Imean all the relationships and
the monsters are all gone, everything's all cool now I see
that these I mean all therelationship and the monsters
are all gone, like everything'sall cool now, but these, he's
gonna be disappearing and comingback, like what's going on?

(12:10):
And they were like, oh okay, Iget it now.
Togo must still be alivesomewhere, so we need to go on
link up with him.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
That part and look the whole, also the whole thing
about his whole brotherbackstory thing.
I felt bad until, like, theyall clarified that point of like
oh okay, uh, so he just keptcoming back as bond killer, bond
killer, the bonds yeah, thatkind of I'm like what 13 times
really dope really, yeah, thatpoint, that point I no.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Longer get.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Sorry isn't linear, but bro yeah, I no longer felt
sorry for what I do anymore.
I was sitting at this point nowyou you kind of asking for it.
You just don't want to trustnobody.
And then he shows up and he'slike oh yeah, I'm a new Kazuna
Ranger and stuff.
Now I'm like can y'all reallytrust this dude?
Apparently, his emotions get tohim all the time.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Hey, tommy Oliver.
Remember how he started out asa Ranger and they were like no,
I'll give them a chance.
And I like how we're going totalk about it in Dino Thunder
anyways, but I like how, withTrent Mercer and Dino Thunder,
it was like oh well, do youthink you can trust this dude
when he's giving the smoke andlike talking over, like oh come
on, dog, sometimes you got togive people a chance, but trust

(13:17):
me, I've been in that sameposition yeah, so, yeah, I mean.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
So I don't know it was one of those ones into it,
but it's like I feel bad becausethey have so much character
building that they do, and thenit's like they destroy it
themselves with the cruel joke.
And I'm sitting here like whynot let it build a little bit
longer before throwing in alittle joke like this type of
thing.
Like that it just doesn't feellike this is a serious moment
anymore and I feel bad in thatBecause I'm like I want this to

(13:46):
stay serious.
I want this to be like this isa serious moment.
This is that moment that you'rereally building up.
All this is very important.
And then it's like it justfeels like they kept taking it
away every single time and I'mlike why would you keep doing
that?
Let it settle for just a littlebit.
That's why I said I can'treally give this a high rating.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, it was an episode where things get really
emotionally tense.
Things got really heated in theargument and instead of the
usual outro, the credits justroll in between the conversation
and by the end of theconversation they just leave it
there.
You just got Stu on it.
It's like God damn, you don'teven get the regular outro on

(14:27):
this.
No, no, no, you sit on thismoment.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
I like shit like that let it build, let us let us get
a feel for what's happening, let us kind of know, okay, this
is what's happening, this iswhat we're doing, and then I'm
like, okay, so here's the thinginto it.
If it's a, if it's a straightup comedy series, a straight up
comedy series, this comedy hasgot some serious moments into it
.
I get that.
I love gintama.
Gintama does that likefantastically, and it lets you

(14:54):
know from the beginning thatthis, don't take this too
seriously.
You're gonna have momentsthat's gonna look extremely
serious and we're gonna throw ajoke at you.
It's gonna throw you off andyou're like, oh okay, it did
tell me at the beginning, thisis how it is.
So I'm like I get that type ofthing, but this one, I'm not
sure I'm feeling confused alittle bit.
Like I'm still enjoying it, butI'm kind of confused because
anytime it feels like it'ssomething that's too serious,

(15:16):
there's another throat, there'sanother little joke that's
thrown in and I'm like it feelslike a time and place kind of
thing, to where it's likesometimes you gotta let some
episode just be purely comedicand some episodes be like really
serious.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
It can be both sometimes, but like don't do it
at the most critical point, towhere it's like, okay, yeah, uh,
there's like a major plot pointand then you just kind of ruin
the tension of it with a jokethat comes off kind of corny and
awkward.
But I don't know, that's justme.
So, yeah, I mean, that's justkind of someny and awkward, but
I don't know, that's just me.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
So yeah, I mean, that's just kind of some of my
little points that I have intoit.
Any other things really into it?
I like how there's littlereferences to different things.
Like you know, you have some ofthe villains that are based.
Their designs is based off ofdifferent characters.
Like I caught one of them.
That's like that's straight upJotaro from JoJo's Bizarre
Adventure.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Nah, I was really losing my shit when I saw that
one relationship in their MippyMouse and I'm sitting there like
y'all really went there Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
No, I would not get over the fact that Blue so look.
I love the fact that we canhave different color ranges
being the leader.
That's not something we seethat often.
That's really a good thing thatyou can kind of see that.
I like how even Teenage MutantNinja Turtles changed that at
one point a few years back.
It was like their sixth remake.
At their sixth remake theywound up doing it to where Raph

(16:39):
was actually the leader insteadof Leonardo, and it worked out
so much better.
It actually worked out prettywell with Leo not being bleeder.
He didn't have to be the leaderevery single time and it was
like we can give a chance.
Crazy how that works when I'm incharge that part and yes, it
was like it actually does workout, type of thing, and so what

(16:59):
was up and up?
I'm sorry.
I'm mostly thinking about thisbecause you know we're supposed
to be reviewing Power Rangers'phase coming up soon and we'll
talk about this based on Rangers, sentai Warriors and they had a
crossover with Teenage MutantNinja Turtles.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
But anyway, we got to do the Ranger in like 12 weeks.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
True, true.
So yeah, man, it's like there'sa couple of things points into
it, there's a couple of littlethings.
I'm just like, ok, I can kindof see how this goes.
Let me, I am going to continue, but I can't be like, oh, I'm
highly recommending this.
I don't know about all that.
Like I, I would definitely loveit, love it, but I'm not gonna
say, oh, I highly recommend thisthing.
I highly recommend this isreally fantastic.

(17:38):
I can't quite say that, to behonest with you.
Um, there's a good bit ofreferences.
It is still enjoyable.
Definitely still continuewatching it.
I love how the fact that theunderstanding, his power system
is not magic, not manawhatsoever, is very different,
and so they're still kind ofconfused about that and it's
like, how is this supposed towork out?
Um being able to mix and nowunlocking a new part of their

(18:00):
kazuna beast.
Um being able to have the wandthat converts their bond energy
into mana so they can producemore of their magical powers.
That's pretty cool.
I love that they were able towork that out type of thing.
Kazuna Black cool.
Now, my favorite character hasto be old girl that became a Tim
.
I'm just being honest with you.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
The elves.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
I love the elves, damn Renia.
Renia, I also the elves Damn andI'm definitely peeping Yep, and
then I also peeped the factthat the first elf we get
introduced to looks exactly likeBobobo, dark skinned afro type.
I was like, nah, that says youreally pulled out the stops into

(18:41):
that one.
But okay, okay, bobobo'sBizarre Adventure we good, I got
you.
You really pulled out the stopsinto that one.
But okay, okay, bobo's bizarreadventure we good, I got you.
But for the most part, evengoing through, I was really
thinking that I was going tohave a whole lot more references
, like I was excited, butsurprisingly not as much.
But that's kind of how I haveand my rating.
I give it a 6.5 out of 10 andwith that I want to hear what

(19:02):
katala's got to say yeah, goahead.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
We kept you waiting long enough.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
First and foremost, what's up?
Secondly, I've listened to bothof you and I'm going to say it
like it is for shame, for shameon you, for shame on you both.
If you are Power Rangers fans, then you know exactly what it is
and that's the reason why I'mgoing to simply sit here and say
, for shame.
That aside, that aside now, like I told you both way before

(19:32):
now, hey, if y'all got anyquestions, hold them till now,
because I wanted you to get themout here.
And here's why, first andforemost, for anybody who is a
Ranger fan or not even a Rangerfan, if you are a Sentai fan,
then you know Sentai does parody.
This is a Sentai parody.

(19:55):
Sentai parodies are neverserious.
They can't stay serious.
They're going to have seriousaspects, but they cannot stay
serious because the point ofthem is to be a joke.
That aside, with them being ajoke, they are the strongest,
and I do mean literally thestrongest.

(20:16):
It's the reason why, in episodeeight with Bond Killer, you see
, they made reference to everysingle ranger.
There was Everybody that theyshowed, all the people that were
around in the background, thosepeople that were talking to
each other and Bonten was takingtheir bonds and breaking them

(20:39):
and stuff of that nature.
And literally all of them wererangers.
Every last one of them was anactual Sentai ranger.
They literally, because of thiskind of made rangers or Sentai
in particular, canon to theuniverse, to the mecha that

(21:03):
showed up in episode 8.
I love it, but if you don't knowwho the fuck that was, ladies
and gentlemen, you need to golook, go, look, realize, because
that fucking Mecca is one ofthe ones that I tell folks is
the reason as to why a lot ofshit won't beat Mecca.

(21:26):
There's a lot of things outthere that cannot beat Mecca's,
and that's one of the reasonswhy Because when you throw stuff
up against something like thatthat can literally stomp out
space time and stomp out yournormal thought processes of yeah

(21:48):
, you don't mess with it, youdon't mess with it.
That aside, once again, beforeI continue, we're going to start
with Kokugatsu, kokugatsu, yourquestions.
What did you have as anyquestions?
I want to hear this firstBecause, legit, legit, I want to

(22:09):
do this in this manner so thatway, when people actually go to
look at this, they willunderstand this Coming from a
person who has done the deep, deep dive, and that way, if
there's any questions Out there.
When they listen and these aresome of the same questions hey,
y'all can answer them.
So, kogodashi, I'm going tostart with you first.

(22:31):
Any questions that you havePertaining to this.
Kai, I was listening a littlebit as I moved around in the
background.
You were saying that you wantedsome explanation on.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
And thank you for that.
So we're taking it tooseriously, is my understanding
we.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Yes, because this is not serious sentai.
This is definitely not serioussentai.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
I mean I said in the beginning where I was like, yeah
, it's kind of a little corny,but I can't complain.
It's like it's nothing new.
Sometimes I just prefer it likethat.
Sometimes just one episode.
It's kind of like how I feltabout Dan to Dan to where
episode 7, where it's like, ohshit, this is a really serious
episode.
Then it gets right back intothe goofiness.

(23:19):
I'm like, okay, I likesurprises like that, that's all
this is an outside whole parody.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
It's not something that you take even remotely
serious.
What you watch it for as such, even with it, as with most
centaur, what you're watching itfor, you're watching it for the
as and I'm going to use thisand folks are going to be mad
Fellas you're watching it forthe action.

(23:48):
That's the plot for you.
You're watching it for theaction.
You're not watching it for theaction.
That's the plot for you.
You're watching it for theaction.
You're not watching it for thestoryline, even though I'm going
to say, for the most part, watching it for the storyline is
still fun.
It's very much still fun, butyou're watching it for the
action.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Okay, I'm fine with that.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
All right, your next question.
Any other questions Before Ikick off into one of my favorite
parts about this, I don't thinkI have any.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
I'm just ready to hear what you got to say.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Okay, jet Black, you got any questions about it?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Honestly, the only question I had was already
answered by episode 12, where Iwas like how come the Kizuna
Beasts keep getting Stunned andwhatever?
Okay, episode 12 Answered that.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Okay, I don't really know Most definitely, and that
is something that would happenEven in regular Power Rangers In
America, in Power Rangers or inSentai period and this Is
something that is known, theywill One ranger is strong enough

(25:02):
To bring all of them together, and it's typically the one
that's always the leader.
So typically one can summon Allof them, but you have to have a
strong enough will to summonall of them.
Now, that aside, not everyranger is able to bring them all
together Like that.

(25:24):
Not every ranger is able tobring them all together.
So, with that aside, ladies andgentlemen, let me get y'all
with something real quick.
A lot of y'all ain't gonnarealize, right?
This is a parody of not justSentai.
This is a parody of PowerRangers in general, because, yes
, they well not even just PowerRangers.

(25:44):
They took Power Rangers KamenRider we have not seen the
Ultraman parody part in here.
It's basically a parody of allTokusatsu, almost.
We have not really seen it.
It's somewhat of a parody withGaro, but not too much.
However, I'm going to say itlike it is, because for some of

(26:07):
you you should have realizedthat they made the references
toward Tommy.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
No, that's what I was saying.
Yeah, when they made thereferences toward Tommy, you
should have realized oh yeah, ohshit, yes, they did that on
purpose, they did that onpurpose.
That aside, that's it.

(26:35):
Oh, sorry, that aside, one ofthe more major parts that I
loved that I really really lovedwas episode like I said episode
.
I believe it was episode like Isaid episode.
I believe it was episode 7.

(26:56):
Episode7, where they introducedI want to make sure I pronounce
her name right Renia, where sheturns into a Kamen Rider,
because the Egyptian armor thatshe has on is based off Kamen
Rider, because the Egyptianarmor that she has on Is based
off Kamen Rider.
If y'all didn't notice, therider kick that she literally

(27:20):
uses as a finisher, so her thingis based off of.
In particular, it's based offof Kamen Rider O's.
So if y'all do that I have notseen Kamen Rider.
You want to get interested init.
That was one of the majorthings.
Go look up Kamen Rider O's.

(27:42):
Most definitely, welcome back,kokugatsu.
As I was saying, oh, one of myfavorite episodes is episode 7,
and I told about the, the elf inquestion, who literally used
the Egyptian thing.
She's based off of Kamaridersand the Kamarida in question is
Kamarida Oates.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
I did kind of Get that feel that Kamarida Wanted
to introduce a different type ofSystem and I was like she don't
feel like an actual ranger.
That's probably why she's myfavorite.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Even I noticed that they're not definitely from
Power Rangers, because otherwisethe whole visor and whatnot
would have been completelydifferent.
I was thinking like Kamen Rideror something like that.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Yes, so she is a Kamen Rider.
She's based off of Kamen RiderO's, in particular Because of
her belt, because O's is the onethat used metals.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Gotcha.
No wonder I'm starting to haveD&D flashbacks to O's.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Yes, yes, you should, you should.
It's going to get worse in aminute.
Of course, it is Outside ofepisode 7 being one of my
favorites episode 12, when heturns into Kizuna black now with
, well, episode 11 and episode12 actually, yeah, um, so with

(29:01):
that, I do want, I do want y'allto understand what that
reference is.
Now, it's entire referenceitself.
It is a Kamen Rider reference.
Again.
That is that point in lifewhere or should I say that point

(29:26):
in the quote unquote episode, where that is the point where,
literally, how can I put it?
You will see a camaraderie, get, they've gotten beaten a good
couple of times, and so, oncethey've gotten beat a good
couple of times, they're goingto decide to go quote unquote

(29:49):
all out.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Yeah, like berserk, to go quote, unquote all out.
Yeah, like Berserk, like theBerserk mode.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
I'm going to say it's technically worse than the
Berserk mode, because it's notBerserk.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
It's more like it's fueled on pure hatred.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
It looks like Berserk .
It looks like Berserk, it lookslike a Berserk mode, and that's
how most people classify it.
But in the case of a lot ofriders it's different.
That's the reason why I sayit's a little bit different.
It's a little more complex thanthat.
It's that mode of.
With some riders it's justalright.

(30:25):
I knew there was a limiter tothis and I'm just going to take
it off.
I'm about to quote unquote I'mripping the band-aid off In this
sense, for since I ripped, it'slike yeah, I'm ripping the
band-aid off.
In some cases with them, it isa I don't care anymore, I'm

(30:48):
going to be just like the badguys, because there are some
that, as writers, when they getto that point of using a
stronger mode, they don't care, they're done caring.
They're like nah, we're wipingeverything out.
For the sake of peace, for thesake of my peace, for the sake

(31:09):
of my people, I'm wipingeverything out, and that's
literally what kizuna black isnow.
Is it supposed to be that?
No, the reason being thatkizuna black does that to any
other ranger other than the onethey're supposed to be, is that
and I say that again spoilers?

(31:34):
Spoilers for any and everybody, because I know y'all have not.
I know y'all probably ain't puttwo and two together.
If you have watched this andyou watched episode 12, as you
should have seen, there is ablack ranger that's his brother.
That is Bond Killer.
That's the reason why it wasmade for that, and the reason

(31:54):
why they call him Bond Killer Isin reference to Abare Killer
From Abare Ranger or, for thoseof y'all that don't know, the
white Dino Ranger from DinoThunder.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Look at that, you're just talking about Dino Thunder.
Look at that, you're justtalking about.
Dino Thunder JB.
I see.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
He is, he's supposed to be and, like I said he's
supposed to be.
Just, I'm not as I said Bonicois supposed to be like.
So this super extreme like, okay, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad,
I'm bad, I'm bad.
I got a good person in me, butI'm bad, I'm bad, I'm bad, I'm
bad, I'm bad.
I got a good person in me, butI'm bad.
I'm going to go At y'all, nomatter what.
That's how it's supposed to be.
But they made him a Morpher toControl that.

(32:39):
They made him A morpher tocontrol that Kizuna, the Kizuna
Black band, is supposed to go tohim On anybody else.
It takes your, it takes whatyou fear and love most and maxes
that out.
That's why red literally wentinto the kind of kind of rage

(33:02):
that he did.
And I kid y'all not.
This is another reason that's Iwill tell folks I'm not even
going to tell you today to reada book, I'm not going to tell
you to go and read the manga.
If you want to read this manga, read the manga.
What I am about to promote is awhole lot different.
I'm going to tell y'all upfront ladies and gentlemen, boys

(33:25):
and girls, children of all ages, you can get Tubi.
Tubi is free, ladies andgentlemen.
And the reason why I'mpromoting 2B because it has
every Power Rangers and has amajority of Kamen Riders.
Please go watch it, pick themup.
Pick one of them up.
Matter of fact, I'm going totell you one to start with that
you might like Gates Kamen Rider.

(33:45):
Gates Gates is on there.
I know Kiva is on there.
I believe Oz is on there.
I'm telling y'all go watch why?
Because then you'll see whatI'm about to talk about.
Because understand people, whenthese folks get mad and get
into that mode, you can't beatthem.

(34:07):
There's a reason as to why it issaid that Kamen Riders are so
powerful.
Sentai can't stop them unlessthey bring in their Zords, and
even then it's a bit iffy.
It just gets them in a 50-50%chance.
Power Rangers can't beat themregardless.
Note what I said, ladies andgentlemen, and yes, I'm talking

(34:32):
about some of y'all's favoriteAll time.
That includes Tommy.
Tommy is the only one that hasgotten close enough to be strong
To maybe rival his Sentaicounterparts, because he became
a Morphin Max.
Do you mean Tommy or do youmean Lord Dragon?
No, I mean Tommy.
Not even Lord Dragon Dragon.

(34:53):
No, I mean Tommy.
Not even Lord Dragon.
Dragon is, don't get me wrong, dragon's fun, dragon's powerful,
but Dragon ain't strong enough.
All I got to do is say one nameDecade, common Rider, decade.
Decade will mop that nigga fromone room to the next.
Why?
Because Decade don't care.
Decade will mop that nigga fromone room to the next.
Why?
Because Decade don't care.

(35:14):
Decade was the first rider tonot care, even when he was just
in base form.
Decade did not care Because, ashe said, I'm just a rider
passing.
Decade stands up to the likesof the only other ranger that's
like that at the current moment, which is Captain Marvelous, or

(35:34):
Marvelous Sama, and Marvelous isfrom Gokaiger.
For those of you who don't knowwhat Gokaiger is, um, it is a
super megaforce over here, uh,but super megaforce over here in
Megaforce, in super megaforce, over here in Megaforce, in Super
Megaforce.
They didn't do them justice, gokaiger was a lot different.

(35:58):
Gokaiger whooped ass.
Pirates, they whooped ass, theydid not scare they literally
were pirates.
They acted like pirates, butbesides the point like I said,
when a Kamen Rider gets intothat stage of, hey, I'm about to
, just, I'm about to spaz, oh,please pray, you're on their

(36:23):
side.
Even then, if you're on theirside, you might want to stand
back a little ways, little ways.
In the case of one Kamen Riderwho I keep talking about, oz,
his quote-unquote enraged formis Puto Terano, or, as the full
name is, puto Terano Saru, whichis the Pterodactyl Medal,

(36:50):
triceratops medal and theTyrannosaurus medal.
They're purple.
When he goes into that mode, that form is Ooh, he couldn't
control that.
That form was so almost aone-shot for everything he
fought.
He was enraged, he was enraged,he was enraged, he was mad, he

(37:15):
did not care.
That aside, going back to thecomparison of real quick Kizuna
Black, kizuna Black literallywas a hurt being that, if he can
ever channel his hurt andwhatnot, that's gonna be a.
That's gonna be a bad man, that's gonna be a bad man.

(37:40):
I'm not gonna spoil it and telly'all what happens after, but I
do want y'all to understand.
Uh, I would love to get asecond season of this animated,
because there's a lot that y'alldon't know that I would love
for y'all to see.
If y'all don't read, there's alot that y'all don't know, and
I'm going to say it like it is.

(38:00):
Pick it up, read them.
This is from Square Enix, bythe way, folks.
Okay, this is from Square Enix.
This whole anime here is fromthis anime, and this manga is
from Square Enix.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
That clears up a lot.
There's nine volumes out.
It started in April 12, 2021.
So just yesterday, whatYesterday?
Was the 12th.
So it'll be about six years oldright now.

(38:41):
It'll be about six years oldright now If we're going to be.
If I'm looking at it correctly, let me see 2021.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
You said from 2021?
Let me see 2021.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
So it's about five, six years old, if I'm.
Let me see 2021.
So about 5, 6 years old, if I'mright.
Yeah, 2021, about 5, 6 yearsold.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
If it's 2021, that'd be 4?
.
Am I Hold on?
Am I mad bro?

Speaker 3 (39:00):
No, because let me see 2021, 22, 23, 24, 25.
Because I'm counting from itsconception.
That's why I say so'll be aboutfour or five years old, if I'm
right.
Yeah, five years old, yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, because,
looking at the Japanese releasedate, yeah, so it was first
released April 12th.

(39:21):
It has nine volumes out.
Its most recent one came outMarch 12th 2025.
So recent one came out March12th 2025.
So I can expect, if it goes ontrack with the way that it
typically does, I can look for asecond volume here this year.

(39:46):
I'll say maybe around November.
I would say maybe around, maybearound November, maybe around
November of this year.
So therein lies that.
Okay, outside of that, and I dosay again, outside of that, this
is an anime that I recommend topeople.

(40:09):
If you want to see what aparody looks like for Sentai
without having to go and lookfor the other parody because I
forget the name of it.
But there is an actual parodyfor Sentai.
It's a three-man squad.
They are pretty funny.
Don't get me wrong.
They goofy.
They goofier than all.
Get out.
They goofy.

(40:30):
But I typically don't recommendthat parody to nobody because
it's not canon.
It's not really canon.
They're canon, but they're notcanon, if you will Gotcha.
So this right here, as far asit goes, they are.
You know this is fun.
I'm going to be real with you,it's fun.
So I say to everybody check itout, most definitely.

(40:53):
I'm going to be real with you,it's fun.
I say to everybody.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
check it out, Most definitely.
I'm going to be honest with you.
It feels like you told us notto take it too seriously and
then went into a very seriousconversation about this.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
I told you don't take this serious because it's not
meant to be taken serious.
But if you want serious stuff, that's very much so similar,
that's what I gave.
Go to common common rider isthe more serious stuff.
Don't get me wrong.
They do have aspects of it,which is part of the storyline,
which, once again, that's withany k drama, c drama, j drama,

(41:28):
because, once again, commonriders typically can fall under
J-dramas, so they have seriousaspects to them too.
So if you like that type ofstuff within that manner, yes.
But if you're not going to likeit, then this is not for you.
But that's why I said if you'regoing to watch it, excuse me,

(41:52):
understand that this is not tobe taken.
But that's why I said If you'regonna watch it, excuse me,
understand that this is not tobe taken serious.
You're supposed to have funwith it.
Enjoy the fights.
That's the main part about this.
Enjoy the fights.
The fight scenes are whatreally Is the fun part about
this.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
Gotcha.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
Gotcha.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Well, if we're gonna to break down characters, I will
say the only other thing intothis would be I felt bad for Old
Girl who Died, the white rangerwho died.
Was it white or silver, I thinkit was white, silver it was
silver.
Okay, it was silver.
I felt bad about Old Girl whoDied because it sucks to see
your death in the future andknow what's about to happen and
have to be like to face thatshit.
That's a hard thing.

(42:32):
They talk about that in so manydifferent shows and, no matter
what, I always think about itlike damn, I don't know if I
could do that though.
Destination fucked me up, bro.
That's a hard thing into it Tobe like oh you gotta face your
death.
I'm like shit.
Do I tell everybody no, because?
Because it's going to get worselater.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
There's no way to define.
See, for me, I didn't Again,y'all might think I'm callous
and heartless, but Sentai mademe this way.
I was not worried about herdeath because I knew how.
It was a parody of case inpoint Galranger Galranger For

(43:13):
those of y'all that don't know, that's Wild Force here.
Okay, the shark Galaranger Iwant y'all to understand Died,
and I'm talking about brutallyDied.
It wasn't for the fact of AnimusComing back and resurrecting

(43:34):
like hey look, no, we're gonnamake that like it didn't happen.
We're gonna resurrect you andmake it like it didn't happen.
I'm used to it.
As far as when it comes toSentai, because I've seen so
many Rangers fall I'm talkingabout straight out now, helm
helmets cut in half, blown upeverything.

(43:55):
We only really got it over herein Lost Galaxy when we lost the
Pink Ranger here.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
That's it.
Hold on.
Speaking of Wild Force, I heardthat after Wild Force it wasn't
on screen or anything like that, but it was more like a
canonical, offspring type thing.
I heard that after Wild Forceit wasn't on screen or anything
like that, but it was more likea canonical, like offspring type
thing.
I heard that both Nick andUdonna from Wild Force died
somehow, but they didn't reallygo into detail Like is that true
?

Speaker 3 (44:27):
Say that again.
I'm sorry my bad, I was talkingto my wife.
Say that again.
Let me sorry my bad, I wastalking to my wife, say that
again.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Let me put like the Red Ranger and the mentor Lady
that was His mother.
You know the whole thing.
No, my bad, my bad.
I'm thinking Mystic Force, mybad.
Okay, disregard all that.
I keep thinking Mystic Forcefor some reason.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
That's right, you said Wild.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
Force, okay, uh, never mind.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Um, now, I mean, I do know as far as, like, a lot of
comic books get a lot moregraphic, a lot more detailed I
know I've mentioned that plentyof times before in our previous
Sentai reviews, uh, Power Rangerreviews and stuff to where it's
like, literally, the comic bookis a lot more recent.
The TV shows was like oh, it'smade for kids, but there was an
intense storyline they actuallyput into it and you want to read
the intense storylines.
As an adult, you're going towant to read the comics, Correct

(45:24):
?

Speaker 1 (45:25):
You know what, when we're done with the whole Power
Rangers stream review, we shouldtry checking on common writer.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
You know, like review the whole thing believe me if
you would, if you would like togo ahead.
All I ask is that you let meknow what era you want to start
in, because there are three eras.
There's the showa era, whereeverything started.
There's the heisei era, where alot of people got into Kamen

(45:52):
Rider Like a whole lot of peoplegot into Kamen Rider.
That's your more updated one,and you have what we are in now,
which is the Rewind era.
So, whichever era you want tostart in, just let me know.
Jesus, Believe me, each one, each Kamaderie is a lot

(46:13):
different.
Each camaraderie is a whole lotdifferent.
So it's like I say this BecauseI've said this to To one of my
brethren hey, Do not think theylead into each other like that,
Because they don't.
It's just like it is withSentai.
They don't they lead into eachother like that because they
don't.
It's just like it is withSentai.

(46:34):
They don't really lead intoeach other.
It's not something that you'regoing to be like oh yeah, hey,
you know we got this.
How's this go into this one?
It doesn't what you mean.
That's the beauty of it.
They're all different.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Power Rangers really try to make sure, unless it's
like okay, a little call back toa previous season, they really
tried to make sure that eachseason's not trying to be too
connected to the last season.
Like correct, um, I would saylike with zeo and Turbo and what
not.
Like okay, because they had thesame people.
That makes sense.
But once they started havinglike Brand new people, it's like
Uh, uh, like don't, don'tconnect us with them.

(47:21):
They not like us.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
But correct, that's exactly how they did.
They, uh, literally, uh, what'sthe word here?
They don't, they don't reallyattach them like that.
And so what happens is is thatI know a lot of folks, a lot of
folks are thinking, oh wait, butdon't they follow each other?
Yes, they do, they do.

(47:46):
Sometimes older writers willshow up in the other episodes.
Well, not those episodes, they'll show up in the other
seasons, but that's not gonnaalways happen.
That's not how that works.
It doesn't always happen likethat.
You'll see them in a movietogether.
Because that's that?
Because I'm gonna tell you thatnow, with common writers and

(48:07):
sentai, they have a lot ofmovies.
There are movies out there forthem.
So they have a lot of movies.
They have, um, what is it?
Uh, there's a lot of specialsand stuff of that nature.
So you just have to kind of be,you just have to kind of look
for it and be mindful.
But yeah, that's neither herenor there.

(48:27):
I don't want to take up toomuch time, um cause with this,
because this segues into a lotof things that can happen.
And I promise y'all, if y'allwant those, if y'all want those
reviews, I will gladly.
I myself will take it uponmyself to literally throw those
reviews up there for y'all, andI don't mind doing it.

(48:50):
I don't mind throwing them upthere on the YouTube channel for
everybody, or even throwingthem up on the Patreon, if
that's exactly what y'all wantto do.
However, be ready for a deepdive because, in the words of my
sister, that's some cult shit.
That's some cult shit.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
You're not wrong about that one.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
That cult is known as Tokuzatsu and I want y'all to
know it's deep, we run deep here.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
I don't even know who's in the cult, but I know of
the cult.
That's my comment right there.
Anyway, look, hey, before I go,cause I gotta get going, but
real quick, I wanna go back tothe anime, cause we wound up
talking a lot about Kamen Rider.
I get references first off.
I just wanna put it this waythe Demon Lord's kids are all
creepy as hell.
So the dude with the mask andthe hands I thought his

(49:37):
character was pretty cool andstuff.
He was really smart.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
I think his name was.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
But that dude that was like oh, you know, we all
thought about telling our mommythat we love her and want to
marry her.
And it was like, okay, even ifyou said that as a kid, as an
adult you've been holding on tothat for like a thousand years.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
My boy like um yep that that's right, that's a
trope.
Once again, that's why I saylike this right here is a parody
, there's a trope that it playedoff of um and everything else
it's.
It's just a little trope theyplayed off of.
That appears often.
I'm not afraid to say itappears often over in a lot of

(50:18):
things.
Once again, in J-dramas,c-dramas, k-dramas, it appears
often.
It's like oh Jesus, okay, youreally love your mother huh.
I'm right.
I's like oh Jesus, okay, youreally love your mother huh.
All right, I don't believe you.
Like that was.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
You disturbed me.
You disturbed me.
I am very curious about how itis that the queen, how the demon
queen is and how her, howthings are going to go as far as
into that.
I am curious as well because Ifeel like in the show it's going
to show as far as into that.
Um, I am curious as well becauseI feel like in the show it's
going to show more, uh,different ranger, sentai, uh,

(50:57):
common writer, like people aswell as right now we've been
introduced to two differentpower systems outside of mana,
the normal in this world.
I feel like we're going to getlike other ones and I feel like
it's probably going to want tobe in the case of oh, heroes
from different universes, ofdifferent power systems all have
found their way to this worldto come save the day, things
like that, and so some of thepower system has been left
behind and I feel like it'sgoing to be a point of all of

(51:19):
them joining in together, type, because in the end, rea wound up
joining into the kazuna beast, but her power at him never was
mixed into it.
So you know, I am reallycurious how that's going to work
out as far as when Atemactually bonds with the Kazuna
with the Kazuna Beast and thenseeing what new forms are going
to come there, but that'sunfortunate.

(51:40):
All the time that I have rightnow, I wanted to make sure I got
a chance to mention that thoseare my expectations for the
future.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
This series continues so we'll see, but it's time for
me to go, so I will talk withy'all another time, of course.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
All right, take it easy, man, all right, uh, yeah,
anything else you want to add on?
Oh, oh, oh, no, no, no, no.
Because, believe me, as far asthe uh, as far as this anime
goes right here with me, um, I'mgood on it.
Uh, believe me, I love it.
I want to tell y'allwholeheartedly I do, I love it.
Um, don't think there's justlike oh yeah, tell us, you know
this, just in your wheelhouse,so you'll defend it.

(52:22):
