This movie was, I want to say a 10 out of 10, but
that's just for Bucky, but forthe entire movie I'd have to
agree with you.
It's a 9 out of 10 for me.
I thought it was funny,relatable, like you said.
Just there are some parts thatcreep me out a little bit, but
overall I thought it wasactually a pretty solid movie.

So we're gonna get into spoilerterritory.
So let's just go ahead and divein, and if you're still with us
, then well, you've been warned.
So as c as CIA Director,valentina Aguilera de Fontaine

faced imminent impeachment dueto the series of illegal
operations she had Elena Belova,john Walker, aka US Agent Ghost
and Taskmaster to go on thiscovert facility under the guise
of a mission.
But once on site, theoperatives find themselves

pitted against each other in adeadly confrontation.
This mess can stand us, if youwill, culminating in ghost
ending up killing taskmaster,before a mysterious man named
bob unexpectedly showed up andupon that, defontaine intended
for them to be incinerated,along with any evidence of her

misconduct.
The group managed to escape andBob distracted DeFontaine's
forces, drawing their firewithout sustaining injury,
allowing the rest of the gang toflee.
So, following this, bob wassent into the air before a crash
landing back into the compound.
Meanwhile Alexei Shostakov, theRed Guardian, who overheard the

details of Dave Fontaine'sscheme while working as a
freelance chauffeur because hehad a limo service going on, it
was kind of funny.
And he comes to the aid ofYelena and the gang, and it was
kind of cute the way he did ittoo, yelena and the gang, and it
was kind of cute the way he didit too, like you.
They were in the desert rightand they saw this limo coming.
Well, ghost and Walker was likewhat the hell was that?

And then Yelena was sittinglike oh no, not him.
And it was like Yelelena, honey, I'm here.
And it was like you know howthat dad that you know he didn't
do the best job as a father buthe's trying and you have that
daughter.
That's like, oh God, dad, stopembarrassing me in front of my

new friends.
But as soon as he get to them hetried to explain the situation,
but you know, they already knowit kind of piece together based
on what happened, and that'swhen Dave Fontaine and her men

were trying to kill them, youknow, like trying to finish the
job.
But ultimately you have our boy, bucky Barnes, aka the Winter
Soldier, showing up like thefucking Terminator to just
eliminate those cars and then,just when you thought, ohy came
(04:24):
to save us and then he justshoots that down a little bit.
Oh no, what's going on here?
So he ends up capturing all ofthem and explaining that, hey yo
, so check this out, like we.
I need you to come in totestify on these impeachment
proceedings because you know,congressman, you know we've got

to do it like officially, likelawfully.
And upon learning that bob was asubject of one of dave
fontaine's secret uh experiments, the golden century program,
which is like the super soldierserum program, but his doses was
100 000 times more potent and alot of people died during that

experiment, but he's the onethat survived.
So he's a interesting case.
But the funny thing about bobis that he have his mental
conditions like I don't want tosay issue.
You know like not try to likesay like something wrong with
him.
Like you know he's wireddifferently and the thing with

Sentry is that he's likeinvincible, like they really
downplayed his powers for thisfilm because he has way more
going on.
But you know, for time beingyou know he's like a super
strong superman and the otherside is the void where he can

just turn things into shadowsand whatnot.
So I'm gonna get to you in justa moment.
But essentially the Thunderboltswere pursued and they basically
escaped, but together theybanded together calling
themselves the Thunderbolts,based on Yelena's childhood

soccer team, and they tried toconfront Valentina and they
ended to confront on Valentinaand they end up fighting with
Century and Century.
Just do quick work with them.
Like it was really cool.
And but oh god, like that'd bequick question have you watched
the boys?

I have not.
However, I'm supposed to bestarting it with my husband
gotcha, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Well, you will find out really soon that once you
watch the boys, because we'regonna do a review on the boys in
2027, because, well, no, nextyear, because Gen V season two
comes out this year, finalseason of the boys come out next
year.
Okay, so next year we're doing,uh, a final review on boys.

But in season one you're gonnafind that real quick where I'm
talking about, to where, betweencentury and valentina, people
can tell that there is like aparallel between homelander and
Madeline Stilwell and just topaint a picture, imagine this

super powerful hero in like amother figure of sorts and like
the boys kind of take it to adifferent level.
But when you watch thethunderbolts before I mean not
before after watching the boys,you're thinking, oh lord, it's

like homelander, madeline, allover again.
But they did it better, notbetter, but more, like they
condensed a season's worth ofevents into five minutes.
But I'm keeping it moving.
So oh yeah, did I mention thatever since?

What was it back at like Age ofUltron or some other, where
essentially Valentina bought the, the former avengers tower and
renamed it the watch tower, andmel, the assistant, who had like
conflictions on working withvalentina, tried to neutralize

century?
And I thought it was kind offunny how valentina was like
good girl, you finally know yourplace.
And I said if I was male, I'lllet hold on first of all, like
if this business relationship isgonna work, you're not gonna
tell me, good girl, like I'm afucking dog okay uh, but by
trying to incapacitate him itturns on a failsafe kill switch.

Um, that triggers um centuriesdestructive alter ego, the void
that started uh, convertingeveryone nearby into shadows,
developing new york city intosupernatural darkness.
And recognizing that their onlyhope lies within bob's mind,
elena goes into the shadowdimension to reach his
consciousness.
There was this whole thingabout confronting by painful
(09:24):
memories and past traumas, andshe ultimately finds bob, who
was lost and consumed by his ownfear, and her teammates join
her.
Um, helping bob kind of like.
Kind of like a therapy session.
You know like, if you watchecho, it's kind of funny how, um
, these final confrontations ismore like a therapy session.

But I'm not complaining aboutthat.
Honestly, it is what it is.
Between Century giving them thework Not too long ago and also
that whole Mexican stand up, I'mlike, eh, you know what?
We got plenty of action in theFront end of the movie, so, eh,
I didn't mind it too much.
So, essentially, they help Bobvanquish the void innocence,

bringing normalcy back into thecity and, with the threat
neutralized, the Thunderboltsprepare to apprehend Valentina,
but she manipulates the publicperception by staging this press
conference to rebrand them asthe New Avengers.
And in this post-credits scene,the New Avengers, along with
Bob, receive this distresssignal from space, revealing
(10:37):
this enormous spacecraft with alarge four on it, which we know
is the Fantastic Four.
Now, this movie has thishumorous and charming quality,
like I said before, a soulfulundertone, where it's like they
have this strong sense ofcamaraderie, like everybody got
jokes in this fucking movie, how, like with the taco and

cucumber, you know if you, ifyou've seen the movie, you know
it was really funny in thataspect.
Everybody's trying to reconcilewith the past process, trauma,
grappling with substance abuse,between Bob being on meth and
Yelena being an alcoholic.
Although Bucky was positionedas the fact the leader of the

New Avengers, it was moreevident that it was the Yelena
Belova show, where it wassupported by Bucky, red Guardian
, ghost and Century, and withCentury evoking comparisons with
Homelander, like I said before,and oh, mel, I think she was
supposed to be Songbird.
But either they're not goingthat direction yet or they just

thought yeah, you know she's anormal chick, but I do thought
it was funny how, with the wholething about renaming them the

Every time she shows up at yourlane I'm just hoping that she
does something like kind offunny in a way.

Like he fell from grace buthe's trying to redeem himself

now when he's on the team andhe's like getting food all over

just like they're trying to makeyou into a comedic character.
But oh ooh, the desert scenewhere, like I said, he was like

That brought this movie.
You have Ant-Man, you've got,uh, winter Soldier and the
Falcon that series, so we got tosee a lot of different things

I mean, you don't have to, butthey kind of tie everything in
together so you can watchThunderbolts.

Um, the part that scared me themost was that void, oh my gosh,
that gave me nightmares.
The eyes, just the eyes, arejust a vision in my head.
Like I closed my eyes and therethey are and the shadow people
look.
He gave me the stanis vibes foreasy enough.

thinking I kind of wish it waslike a little bit more detailing
to the boys, uh looks, where Ifelt like it was a little dark,
like almost like you can barelytell what his um suit looks like

more like a more matte blackinstead of like what they were

I love her performance, but inthis one it was her more

So as c as CIA Director,valentina Aguilera de Fontaine

faced imminent impeachment dueto the series of illegal
operations she had Elena Belova,john Walker, aka US Agent Ghost
and Taskmaster to go on thiscovert facility under the guise
of a mission.
But once on site, theoperatives find themselves

pitted against each other in adeadly confrontation.
This mess can stand us, if youwill, culminating in ghost
ending up killing taskmaster,before a mysterious man named
bob unexpectedly showed up andupon that, defontaine intended
for them to be incinerated,along with any evidence of her

misconduct.
The group managed to escape andBob distracted DeFontaine's
forces, drawing their firewithout sustaining injury,
allowing the rest of the gang toflee.
So, following this, bob wassent into the air before a crash
landing back into the compound.
Meanwhile Alexei Shostakov, theRed Guardian, who overheard the

details of Dave Fontaine'sscheme while working as a
freelance chauffeur because hehad a limo service going on, it
was kind of funny.
And he comes to the aid ofYelena and the gang, and it was
kind of cute the way he did ittoo, yelena and the gang, and it
was kind of cute the way he didit too, like you.
They were in the desert rightand they saw this limo coming.
Well, ghost and Walker was likewhat the hell was that?

And then Yelena was sittinglike oh no, not him.
And it was like Yelelena, honey, I'm here.
And it was like you know howthat dad that you know he didn't
do the best job as a father buthe's trying and you have that
daughter.
That's like, oh God, dad, stopembarrassing me in front of my

new friends.
But as soon as he get to them hetried to explain the situation,
but you know, they already knowit kind of piece together based
on what happened, and that'swhen Dave Fontaine and her men

were trying to kill them, youknow, like trying to finish the
job.
But ultimately you have our boy, bucky Barnes, aka the Winter
Soldier, showing up like thefucking Terminator to just
eliminate those cars and then,just when you thought, ohy came

to save us and then he justshoots that down a little bit.
Oh no, what's going on here?
So he ends up capturing all ofthem and explaining that, hey yo
, so check this out, like we.
I need you to come in totestify on these impeachment
proceedings because you know,congressman, you know we've got

to do it like officially, likelawfully.
And upon learning that bob was asubject of one of dave
fontaine's secret uh experiments, the golden century program,
which is like the super soldierserum program, but his doses was
100 000 times more potent and alot of people died during that

experiment, but he's the onethat survived.
So he's a interesting case.
But the funny thing about bobis that he have his mental
conditions like I don't want tosay issue.
You know like not try to likesay like something wrong with
him.
Like you know he's wireddifferently and the thing with

Sentry is that he's likeinvincible, like they really
downplayed his powers for thisfilm because he has way more
going on.
But you know, for time beingyou know he's like a super
strong superman and the otherside is the void where he can

just turn things into shadowsand whatnot.
So I'm gonna get to you in justa moment.
But essentially the Thunderboltswere pursued and they basically
escaped, but together theybanded together calling
themselves the Thunderbolts,based on Yelena's childhood

soccer team, and they tried toconfront Valentina and they
ended to confront on Valentinaand they end up fighting with
Century and Century.
Just do quick work with them.
Like it was really cool.
And but oh god, like that'd bequick question have you watched
the boys?

I have not.
However, I'm supposed to bestarting it with my husband
gotcha, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Well, you will find out really soon that once you
watch the boys, because we'regonna do a review on the boys in
2027, because, well, no, nextyear, because Gen V season two
comes out this year, finalseason of the boys come out next
year.
Okay, so next year we're doing,uh, a final review on boys.

But in season one you're gonnafind that real quick where I'm
talking about, to where, betweencentury and valentina, people
can tell that there is like aparallel between homelander and
Madeline Stilwell and just topaint a picture, imagine this

super powerful hero in like amother figure of sorts and like
the boys kind of take it to adifferent level.
But when you watch thethunderbolts before I mean not
before after watching the boys,you're thinking, oh lord, it's

like homelander, madeline, allover again.
But they did it better, notbetter, but more, like they
condensed a season's worth ofevents into five minutes.
But I'm keeping it moving.
So oh yeah, did I mention thatever since?

What was it back at like Age ofUltron or some other, where
essentially Valentina bought the, the former avengers tower and
renamed it the watch tower, andmel, the assistant, who had like
conflictions on working withvalentina, tried to neutralize

century?
And I thought it was kind offunny how valentina was like
good girl, you finally know yourplace.
And I said if I was male, I'lllet hold on first of all, like
if this business relationship isgonna work, you're not gonna
tell me, good girl, like I'm afucking dog okay uh, but by
trying to incapacitate him itturns on a failsafe kill switch.

Um, that triggers um centuriesdestructive alter ego, the void
that started uh, convertingeveryone nearby into shadows,
developing new york city intosupernatural darkness.
And recognizing that their onlyhope lies within bob's mind,
elena goes into the shadowdimension to reach his
consciousness.
There was this whole thingabout confronting by painful
(09:24):
memories and past traumas, andshe ultimately finds bob, who
was lost and consumed by his ownfear, and her teammates join
her.
Um, helping bob kind of like.
Kind of like a therapy session.
You know like, if you watchecho, it's kind of funny how, um
, these final confrontations ismore like a therapy session.

But I'm not complaining aboutthat.
Honestly, it is what it is.
Between Century giving them thework Not too long ago and also
that whole Mexican stand up, I'mlike, eh, you know what?
We got plenty of action in theFront end of the movie, so, eh,
I didn't mind it too much.
So, essentially, they help Bobvanquish the void innocence,

bringing normalcy back into thecity and, with the threat
neutralized, the Thunderboltsprepare to apprehend Valentina,
but she manipulates the publicperception by staging this press
conference to rebrand them asthe New Avengers.
And in this post-credits scene,the New Avengers, along with
Bob, receive this distresssignal from space, revealing

this enormous spacecraft with alarge four on it, which we know
is the Fantastic Four.
Now, this movie has thishumorous and charming quality,
like I said before, a soulfulundertone, where it's like they
have this strong sense ofcamaraderie, like everybody got
jokes in this fucking movie, how, like with the taco and

cucumber, you know if you, ifyou've seen the movie, you know
it was really funny in thataspect.
Everybody's trying to reconcilewith the past process, trauma,
grappling with substance abuse,between Bob being on meth and
Yelena being an alcoholic.
Although Bucky was positionedas the fact the leader of the

New Avengers, it was moreevident that it was the Yelena
Belova show, where it wassupported by Bucky, red Guardian
, ghost and Century, and withCentury evoking comparisons with

But I was just so Happy toactually see a nostalgic Next

So 2025 now will be 2030 in MCUtime and they were in the 60s,
so that's like 70 years.

So like, how do they shoot 70years?

was like she was gonna bebonding with ghosts and also
there was gonna be like thisrunning gash where she had like
this selective amnesia and sheforgets that.
Um, she's supposed to be likebuddy buddy with john walker and

was in the original script.
But I'm guessing it wouldn'thave worked with calling the
Thunderbolts the new Avengers,because Taskmaster wasn't

Like it would make more sensefor the Thunderbolts but not the

So like I'm thinking, okay,let's call them the new Avengers
