Speaker 1 (00:01):
the thunderbolts.
What can I say?
What can I say?
It was kind of funny, charmingin a way, kind of soulful, like
oddly relatable in a way.
If I could give her a ratingright now, I would say it's a
nine out of 10.
(00:22):
Like it's a A it's like, yeah,because there's one thing that I
didn't like.
There is an explanation, but Idon't want to spoil anything yet
Because I understand thatthere's a lot of people that
(00:42):
probably didn't watch theThunderbolts.
They probably want to go aheadand try to watch it whenever
they can, but they just don'twant to be spoiled.
So while we give you time toclick away from the episode, I
don't blame you.
Steppy Phantom, withoutspoiling the movie.
How are you feeling about theThunderbolts?
Speaker 2 (01:06):
This movie was, I
want to say a 10 out of 10, but
that's just for Bucky, but forthe entire movie I'd have to
agree with you.
It's a 9 out of 10 for me.
I thought it was funny, relatable, like you said.
Just there are some parts thatcreep me out a little bit, but
overall I thought it wasactually a pretty solid movie.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, all
right, we're gonna go ahead and
dive right into the plot andeverything.
So we're gonna get into spoilerterritory.
So let's just go ahead and divein, and if you're still with us
, then well, you've been warned.
So as c as CIA Director, valentina Aguilera de Fontaine
(01:47):
faced imminent impeachment dueto the series of illegal
operations she had Elena Belova, john Walker, aka US Agent Ghost
and Taskmaster to go on thiscovert facility under the guise
of a mission.
But once on site, theoperatives find themselves
(02:08):
pitted against each other in adeadly confrontation.
This mess can stand us, if youwill, culminating in ghost
ending up killing taskmaster, before a mysterious man named
bob unexpectedly showed up andupon that, defontaine intended
for them to be incinerated, along with any evidence of her
(02:29):
misconduct.
The group managed to escape andBob distracted DeFontaine's
forces, drawing their firewithout sustaining injury,
allowing the rest of the gang toflee.
So, following this, bob wassent into the air before a crash
landing back into the compound.
Meanwhile Alexei Shostakov, theRed Guardian, who overheard the
(02:50):
details of Dave Fontaine'sscheme while working as a
freelance chauffeur because hehad a limo service going on, it
was kind of funny.
And he comes to the aid ofYelena and the gang, and it was
kind of cute the way he did ittoo, yelena and the gang, and it
was kind of cute the way he didit too, like you.
They were in the desert rightand they saw this limo coming.
Well, ghost and Walker was likewhat the hell was that?
(03:16):
And then Yelena was sittinglike oh no, not him.
And it was like Yelelena, honey, I'm here.
And it was like you know howthat dad that you know he didn't
do the best job as a father buthe's trying and you have that
daughter.
That's like, oh God, dad, stopembarrassing me in front of my
(03:38):
new friends.
But as soon as he get to them hetried to explain the situation,
but you know, they already knowit kind of piece together based
on what happened, and that'swhen Dave Fontaine and her men
(04:02):
were trying to kill them, youknow, like trying to finish the
job.
But ultimately you have our boy, bucky Barnes, aka the Winter
Soldier, showing up like thefucking Terminator to just
eliminate those cars and then, just when you thought, ohy came
(04:24):
to save us and then he justshoots that down a little bit.
Oh no, what's going on here?
So he ends up capturing all ofthem and explaining that, hey yo
, so check this out, like we.
I need you to come in totestify on these impeachment
proceedings because you know, congressman, you know we've got
(04:44):
to do it like officially, likelawfully.
And upon learning that bob was asubject of one of dave
fontaine's secret uh experiments, the golden century program,
which is like the super soldierserum program, but his doses was
100 000 times more potent and alot of people died during that
(05:10):
experiment, but he's the onethat survived.
So he's a interesting case.
But the funny thing about bobis that he have his mental
conditions like I don't want tosay issue.
You know like not try to likesay like something wrong with
him.
Like you know he's wireddifferently and the thing with
(05:35):
Sentry is that he's likeinvincible, like they really
downplayed his powers for thisfilm because he has way more
going on.
But you know, for time beingyou know he's like a super
strong superman and the otherside is the void where he can
(05:55):
just turn things into shadowsand whatnot.
So I'm gonna get to you in justa moment.
But essentially the Thunderboltswere pursued and they basically
escaped, but together theybanded together calling
themselves the Thunderbolts, based on Yelena's childhood
(06:19):
soccer team, and they tried toconfront Valentina and they
ended to confront on Valentinaand they end up fighting with
Century and Century.
Just do quick work with them.
Like it was really cool.
And but oh god, like that'd bequick question have you watched
the boys?
Speaker 2 (06:42):
I have not.
However, I'm supposed to bestarting it with my husband
gotcha, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Well, you will find
out really soon that once you
watch the boys, because we'regonna do a review on the boys in
2027, because, well, no, nextyear, because Gen V season two
comes out this year, finalseason of the boys come out next
year.
Okay, so next year we're doing,uh, a final review on boys.
(07:10):
But in season one you're gonnafind that real quick where I'm
talking about, to where, betweencentury and valentina, people
can tell that there is like aparallel between homelander and
Madeline Stilwell and just topaint a picture, imagine this
(07:31):
super powerful hero in like amother figure of sorts and like
the boys kind of take it to adifferent level.
But when you watch thethunderbolts before I mean not
before after watching the boys, you're thinking, oh lord, it's
(07:52):
like homelander, madeline, allover again.
But they did it better, notbetter, but more, like they
condensed a season's worth ofevents into five minutes.
But I'm keeping it moving.
So oh yeah, did I mention thatever since?
(08:14):
What was it back at like Age ofUltron or some other, where
essentially Valentina bought the, the former avengers tower and
renamed it the watch tower, andmel, the assistant, who had like
conflictions on working withvalentina, tried to neutralize
(08:37):
century?
And I thought it was kind offunny how valentina was like
good girl, you finally know yourplace.
And I said if I was male, I'lllet hold on first of all, like
if this business relationship isgonna work, you're not gonna
tell me, good girl, like I'm afucking dog okay uh, but by
trying to incapacitate him itturns on a failsafe kill switch.
(09:02):
Um, that triggers um centuriesdestructive alter ego, the void
that started uh, convertingeveryone nearby into shadows,
developing new york city intosupernatural darkness.
And recognizing that their onlyhope lies within bob's mind,
elena goes into the shadowdimension to reach his
consciousness.
There was this whole thingabout confronting by painful
(09:24):
memories and past traumas, andshe ultimately finds bob, who
was lost and consumed by his ownfear, and her teammates join
her.
Um, helping bob kind of like.
Kind of like a therapy session.
You know like, if you watchecho, it's kind of funny how, um
, these final confrontations ismore like a therapy session.
(09:46):
But I'm not complaining aboutthat.
Honestly, it is what it is.
Between Century giving them thework Not too long ago and also
that whole Mexican stand up, I'mlike, eh, you know what?
We got plenty of action in theFront end of the movie, so, eh,
I didn't mind it too much.
So, essentially, they help Bobvanquish the void innocence,
(10:13):
bringing normalcy back into thecity and, with the threat
neutralized, the Thunderboltsprepare to apprehend Valentina,
but she manipulates the publicperception by staging this press
conference to rebrand them asthe New Avengers.
And in this post-credits scene, the New Avengers, along with
Bob, receive this distresssignal from space, revealing
(10:37):
this enormous spacecraft with alarge four on it, which we know
is the Fantastic Four.
Now, this movie has thishumorous and charming quality,
like I said before, a soulfulundertone, where it's like they
have this strong sense ofcamaraderie, like everybody got
jokes in this fucking movie, how, like with the taco and
(11:00):
cucumber, you know if you, ifyou've seen the movie, you know
it was really funny in thataspect.
Everybody's trying to reconcilewith the past process, trauma,
grappling with substance abuse, between Bob being on meth and
Yelena being an alcoholic.
Although Bucky was positionedas the fact the leader of the
(11:24):
New Avengers, it was moreevident that it was the Yelena
Belova show, where it wassupported by Bucky, red Guardian
, ghost and Century, and withCentury evoking comparisons with
Homelander, like I said before, and oh, mel, I think she was
supposed to be Songbird.
But either they're not goingthat direction yet or they just
(11:50):
thought yeah, you know she's anormal chick, but I do thought
it was funny how, with the wholething about renaming them the
New Avengers, yelena whisperedto Valentino like we own you now
.
Tina was like we own you now, like I don't know Something
about Florence Pugh.
(12:10):
That's like charming in a way.
Every time she shows up at yourlane I'm just hoping that she
does something like kind offunny in a way.
Oh yeah, mel, I kind ofrecognize her from that one
movie, the Package on Netflix.
If you have seen it, good onyou for knowing that.
Uh, if you haven't seen it,you're not really missing much.
(12:33):
But uh, it was kind of a thingum, like 10 years ago.
But overall, very solid movie.
I will certainly watch it againon disney plus soon.
It's available for streamingnow.
Sebi, I'm sorry, I kind of wenton about A whole plot, but I
just kind of want to Paint thewhole context.
But uh, now, with Givingspoilers, let's get your full,
(12:59):
unfiltered opinion on this movie.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Okay, like you said,
this movie was hilarious.
I was laughing majority of thismovie.
Everybody was so sassy, likefor no reason.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Oh, you like that?
I was like oh you, you thinkthat's cool.
Like what did you think that'scool?
I don't know I'm like bro, likey'all just really fucking with
that man, like making himinsecure about something.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Exactly Val seeing
that group when, like they all
came together in the watchtowerand she looks at Walker like, oh
, the junior varsity.
Captain America, I lost it.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
I like how he was
like oh okay, we do it.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
It's like we put the
gun down, walker, no Down boy,
put the gun away.
And then calling Red Guardian, old Santa, like hello, I was
done.
That scene like had me out ofmy chair Like I was crying, yeah
, that whole thing.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
And then the part
where the red guardian, he's
like so excited, he's got brands, he's got, he's got a box of
wheaties he's at the supermarket, yeah, the supermarket scenes
where, like the lady and he waslike hey, uh, look at the new
avengers, like those are nicecars right there, and then he's
holding down that box like doyou recognize us?
(14:29):
It's me on that box she's notfeeling you at all.
She don't know who you are.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
She takes the box and
now she's going down the hall.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
He just puts it on an
end cap and runs and I'm like
okay but hey, yo, you did bringup a good point about how, like
this movie almost made me wantto get a drink because, like,
especially that one part withyou know, like I'm going to name
like a couple examples where itwas like okay.
(14:59):
With Ghost, her whole thing, like if you've seen Ant-Man and
the Wasp, you know her wholestory and she was like trying to
grapple with, trying to likehave a physical body, because
she was like literally tearingapart, like in a scientific way.
And with walker, of course, ifyou've seen falcon and soldier,
(15:19):
you already know his deal.
Like he fell from grace buthe's trying to redeem himself
and he's like fairly likable Inthis movie.
I mean, he was alright, he wasset up to be unlikable in Falcon
and Soldier but he served hispurpose In that show.
And in this movie I'm like he'sjust genuinely likable, like,
(15:43):
yeah, he had the jokes and allthat too.
Now, who else?
I wanna Bucky likable like yeah, like he had the jokes and all
that too.
Now, who else?
Uh, I wanna bucky.
Uh, okay, bucky, I do like hischaracter development because if
you followed him ever sincewinter soldier and civil war and
all that, like yeah, like he'sreally trying to come on his own
(16:03):
as being a good guy that'sredeeming himself, becoming the
leader leader of the newAvengers with a Z.
Don't forget Avengers with a Zlike washing his arm and it kind
(16:29):
of felt like when you watchwinter soldier.
It's like having that one bosscharacter that you uh
confronting and then you fastforward to thunderbolts is like
now when he's on the team andhe's like getting food all over
his papers and shit.
I like good lord bucky, I meanyou're still like, well, I'm
just like they're trying to makeyou into a comedic character.
But oh ooh, the desert scenewhere, like I said, he was like
(16:53):
Terminator style, where he'slike, uh, cocking that.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
That gun, that
everything that was.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, and the way he
would like grab that chain like
uh, into the ground, I was likehell yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
That's my boy.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
And, ooh, I do like
how he was like able to reflect
that car with his middle arm.
It was like flying at thosepeople Like uh, let me just tank
that shit.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I think that's
another part of the reason why I
like the movie is that thereare so many series and different
like shorts and such.
That brought this movie.
You have Ant-Man, you've got,uh, winter Soldier and the
Falcon that series, so we got tosee a lot of different things
together.
Um, you kind of have to watchthose.
I mean, you don't have to, butthey kind of tie everything in
together so you can watchThunderbolts.
(17:44):
Um, the part that scared me themost was that void, oh my gosh,
that gave me nightmares.
The eyes, just the eyes, arejust a vision in my head.
Like I closed my eyes and therethey are and the shadow people
look.
He gave me the stanis vibes foreasy enough.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
I it's not uh much of
a nitpick, but I was like
thinking I kind of wish it waslike a little bit more detailing
to the boys, uh looks, where Ifelt like it was a little dark,
like almost like you can barelytell what his um suit looks like
and shit.
So where I'm like I just kindof wish it was like a little
more like a more matte blackinstead of like what they were
(18:25):
going for like if it was like amatte black, then like, okay,
it's easier to see the detailsand shit.
Okay, cool, cool, cool.
Yelena Ooh, I love, like I saidbefore, every time she shows up
I love her performance, but inthis one it was her more
vulnerable side.
Like I said that in Black Widowwe got a balance of her being
(18:46):
funny and vulnerable.
In Hawkeye we got the morefunny side.
Like she was like straight uphilarious in Hawkeye.
But in Thunderbolts we saw themore vulnerable side to where
(19:10):
she was telling Red Guardian how, like man, my life's just in a
rut right now.
I just to work, then I come home, then I zoom scroll on my phone
and I drink and I sleep andthen I wake up and do all this
shit all over again.
I'm like, fuck, I relate tothat shit.
I like you just feel like atsome point in adulthood you just
feel like you're just doing thesame every day and just like
wondering I need to fight?
Like, is this, is this my life?
(19:30):
Like I need to file, I need toget me some business.
Okay, I'm not saying thatpersonally, but it was kind of
like that years ago for me, butnowadays you know me leading the
zone doing my thing, um,building up the shop at
zonalinescom.
I come gonna add someminiatures and whatnot.
You know I gotta do that, somechains plugging, because I'm
(19:51):
just feeling really good aboutit.
But point being is that, justlike with the movie, like you
just gotta find your purpose andI find like something that
you're calling in a sense, and Ifound mine, and I'm, like you
know what, I feel good, a littlegood about myself, like I'm not
out of the woods, but at leastI'm not so depressed to a point
(20:13):
to where I feel like there's nopoint to life, like I got me
some business, I got mesomething that I want to commit
to in the long haul.
So I do relate to the messagingof the film, um, especially with
bob, where it just seemed likehe was saying that sometimes we
(20:34):
just be in this rut, like wejust trying to fill this void,
so to speak, and I'm like damn,I feel that because, like, if,
if you don't got no business, like you're just gonna be
constantly trying to like see inmany ways, like whether it's
sleeping with multiple people, drinking, uh, drug abuse,
(20:58):
whatever you're doing to justfill a void in your life to
where it's like there's justsomething missing that not
giving me that dopamine hit.
You know what I'm saying.
And it's crazy like people wereexpecting it to be like super
(21:19):
dark.
But I'm like I kind ofappreciate the fact that they
tried to do the whole avengersum.
The fact that they tried to dothe whole avengers um routes
where, okay, yeah, they did likebutt heads but ultimately they
bonded to a point to where theyget along and come on like if
they're going to be a team, theygotta like work, uh, like each
other enough to like worktogether.
(21:39):
You know what I'm saying.
So I did like the little coupleoh let me fast forward.
I'm not fast forward, not fastforward.
Rewind back to the Mexicanstandoff when Bob, when he was
like, first met Walker and hewas like hey, you're, aren't you
, captain America?
And I'm like I mean, I was likeyou can't be because You're an
(22:05):
asshole.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Bob was definitely a
character.
I think my favorite line thathe did was at the end.
And Bob is just sitting in thecorner and they're all talking
about we did this, we did this, and then he goes.
Well, I did the dishes.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah, I mean, you
know, hey, you know, sometimes
here don't wear capes, sometimesthey just wash the dishes, but
not for real though, like withbob, he's kind of like their
hulk oh, that one meme that'slit to you um earlier.
Yeah, like, oh, I have an armynow like we have a century, but
(22:49):
that's just the thing.
It's like century, it's liketheir version of the whole.
To where, like, he should beonly utilized and dire
situations like okay, likethings are looking bad.
We kind of need the centuryinvolved.
And I'm like, okay, what areyou gonna do about the void?
I we'll worry about the voidwhen he shows up.
We need the sentry.
(23:09):
Now it was kind of like that towhere, like oh, at first here's
the funny thing At first, thefirst act of the film I was
thinking so what are they?
Some sort of suicide squad?
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Oh, I said the same
exact thing to my friend.
I'm like this is just a suicidesquad in Marvel form.
Yeah, Suicide Squad in Marvelform.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, it's kind of
funny because, like they were
like sent there to kill eachother, but in actuality it's
like they're a team that bandedtogether to go up against a
threat that they probably notgonna survive.
But you know, in a way theymanaged to survive.
You know, like helping Bob getover his own trauma.
(23:57):
But, yeah, it started out beinglike the suicide squad.
Then it started to feel likethe avengers, but, uh, I was
thinking it was like somethingelse that was involved.
Uh, it was like, oh, yeah, theboys, because you know the whole
homelander slash metal still, okay, yeah, I, yeah, I already
mentioned that.
Alright.
So, yeah, I was thinking likethis movie feels like Suicide
(24:20):
Squad meets the Avengers, meetsthe Boys, and I was like what
yeah?
Yeah, oh, oh, buckle up, becauseit gets graphic.
Graphic doesn't bother me ohcool, all right, cool, just
(24:42):
being fair.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
I need that jacket.
Alexi was wearing the redNASCAR jacket.
I need that jacket.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Bro, I wouldn't be
surprised if that was like oh
yeah, like you can now buy it onwhatever side.
Like like the disney store, like, oh yeah, you can just buy
the avengers with a z jacket.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
I'm like, oh bro, I
would rock that I would say I
would rock that out whole outfit.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Oh my gosh, I would
be fit in that, yeah yeah, I
would show up to the fucking uhavengers doomsday wearing that
jacket.
I was like, oh, hell, yeah, let's get into it.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Avengers with the Z.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Just show up to the
movie theater and be like so
what movie you gonna see?
Sir, I'm like.
You see my trip bro.
You know what I'm here for.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
It's like those memes
oh, four tickets for what again
?
And they're all dressed up asthe characters you know why I'm
here, Exactly.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Alright, don't play.
You know why I'm here For themost part, that was in a sense
all I wanted to say.
I did like how they wanted toset up.
Oh hold, on the post-creditsscene, the second post-credit
scene.
I did mention that it was thefantastic four since we showing
(26:01):
up in the mcu, but that's just athing.
I showed up to the theaterwondering because it was like
completely unrelated becausefantastic four first steps
coming out later this year.
I was like wondering how arethey gonna work the fantastic
four into modern day mcu ifthey're going to be involved In
Avengers Doomsday?
And then this Movie answers myquestion.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yes, I was so Happy
to see that nostalgic Like movie
scene like First Yelena Yellingthis close to her iPad, up to
her mouth, to her AI was amazingInto that scene.
But I was just so Happy toactually see a nostalgic Next
movie scene um to line up forthe fantastic four movie hell,
(26:45):
yeah, like, so now it's gonna beokay when we watch, uh,
fantastic four is we're gonna?
Speaker 1 (26:50):
it's gonna be like
the boruto treatment to where,
like, okay, we already walk intothis movie wondering how do
they get from here to there, but, uh, unlike the boruto
treatment, like actual borutoseries, like I'm not complaining
in this aspect because, like,we were kind of wondering how
that's gonna work anyways.
(27:11):
So, uh, we just like how wepretty much got an answer in the
thunderbolts, how they ended upin the modern day mcu.
So now we need to watchfantastic four to find out why
did they shoot themselves intospace and got themselves like
shot.
What was it like?
70 years, because, keep in mind, it's like in the m MCU is like
(27:34):
five years ahead of our realtime.
So 2025 now will be 2030 in MCUtime and they were in the 60s,
so that's like 70 years.
Yeah, like right around thatballpark.
So like, how do they shoot 70years?
(27:56):
Like on some Captain Americatype shit?
How do they get from the 60s tomodern day?
That's what I want to know now.
But, uh, yeah, like, uh, maybewas there anything we missed,
like anything you want to talkabout?
Speaker 2 (28:13):
I think I covered
everything.
I'm actually trying to find thephases right now.
The next movie after theFantastic Four, that movie, has
that been told yet?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Yeah, it should be
Doomsday.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
It's going to be
Doomsday.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yeah, because once we
do Fantastic Four, they're
going to do like a couple of TVshows, but the next movie is
Doomsday.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
It is Doomsday okay.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Because we're doing
like Ironheart and eyes will
come to add tv shows and, uh,they're like one more.
I think they still they kind ofworking on hawkeye season two.
But I don't like how they doingour boy, jeremy renner, dirty
to where like, oh, we're gonnaonly give you half the paycheck
we gave you for season one.
No, fuck, all that.
Like I'm, I respect him fromwalking away from that because
I'm like he still wants to do it.
(29:01):
But hey, bro, you need to givehim his paper dog.
That's all I'm saying.
Like that's the thing.
Like they got some TV shows inthe mix.
But yeah, doomsday should bethe next movie after Fantastic
(29:21):
Four, because it's supposed to.
I'm hoping it's setting upDoctor Doom somewhat being in
the mix because, like them beingshot into modern day MCU, how
does Doctor Doom fit into allthis?
It's probably gonna be like apost credit scene in Fantastic
Four and then, pretty much, likeyou alluded to, it's gonna be
(29:43):
that nostalgic feel to where, alright, we got this set up for
the next movie yeah, oh yeah, the Secret Wars.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
I don't know what I
was thinking.
The Secret Wars was probably inthat mix too.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, like that would
be.
No, no, no, because afterDoomsday, then it's Spider-Man,
brand New Day, then Secret Wars.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Because they're
scaling it down on movies and TV
shows.
They're saying they're doinglike no more than two or three
movies and no more than three TVshows per year.
So they're really doing qualityover quantity.
And it shows in Thunderboltswhere I'm like, oh yeah, Like OK
(30:30):
, let's go and talk aboutTaskmaster.
What was the point of settingup Taskmaster?
Why did you do her dirty likethat?
What was the point of settingup Taskmaster?
Why did you do her dirty likethat?
Because we watched her in BlackWidow to where I'm like, okay,
I'm going to gloss over the factthat they gender-bend
Taskmaster, but keep in mindthat Taskmaster is like a
street-level Avengers typethreat to where he will give
(30:51):
most street-level heroes likeDaredevil and Electra you know
the martial arts-based heroesTaskmaster would have gave them
the work and it felt like youintroduced Taskmaster into Black
Widow just to kill her off inThunderbolts.
(31:12):
And the funny thing is thescript writer originally wrote
that Taskmaster was supposed tobe still part of the team and it
was like she was gonna bebonding with ghosts and also
there was gonna be like thisrunning gash where she had like
this selective amnesia and sheforgets that.
Um, she's supposed to be likebuddy buddy with john walker and
(31:35):
she like tried to kill himevery now and then, like that
was in the original script.
But I'm guessing it wouldn'thave worked with calling the
Thunderbolts the new Avengers, because Taskmaster wasn't
supposed to be part of theAvengers.
Like it would make more sensefor the Thunderbolts but not the
Avengers.
So like I'm thinking, okay, let's call them the new Avengers
(31:55):
, but like do you wanttaskmaster to be an avenger like
?
Speaker 2 (32:00):
nah, let's kill off
that was wild, that whole boop
boop.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Okay, there she goes,
she's done I was like uh, she's
getting up right.
Like is she gonna like?
Is it gonna be like apost-credits scene, like what's
going on?
Speaker 2 (32:17):
like is she?
She's lost right.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
No, no, no, no, no,
she's gone, she's gone I was
like kind of hopeful, like whatwas the point?
What was the point includingher if you're gonna kill her up?
So almost unceremoniously it?
It was like have you seen the2021 Suicide Squad movie Sebi?
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
The way they killed
up Boomerang.
I'm like, bro, like okay, why?
Like it just felt like almostunceremonious.
Where, like, did he really hadto kill him up?
Like, if you're going likeEmphasize that, yeah, the
Suicide Squad could die, andit's like it's one thing we
(33:02):
introduce new characters, butlike you brought Boomerang back
just to kill him off In thereboot, I'm like that just feels
Kind of fucked up, kind offucked up.
But, uh, I did like the 2021suicide squad movie, not gonna
lie, but the 2016 version couldnever okay.
(33:24):
That movie was so fuckingsloppy, sebi, it's so fucking
sloppy I'm.
We're gonna be reviewing itlater on in december, but oh my
god, like you can just tell thatit was edited to shit and it
just did not work.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I've seen both of
them and I have to agree with
you the first one's the best hmm, the first one was the best in
my opinion, I like the first onebetter.
I wasn't a fan of the secondone, okay.
That was going to beinteresting.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
When we do the review
, I'll see you like a nuanced
review, so to speak, but wasthere anything else you wanted
to talk about with Thunderbolts?
Speaker 2 (34:14):
No.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Yeah, I'm pretty much
tapped now.
It was a pretty solid movie.
Like you know, I got one morething.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Bucky for 2026, I
will be the best first lady
y'all ever have.
That's all.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Well, yeah, because
he is a congressman, so like,
maybe because he got a politicalbackground, and like, maybe
because you know he got like apolitical background, and like I
mean I know valentina tried todo the whole thing like, oh well
, uh, this is not gonna lookgood for you.
Like less than half a term andyou're doing all this like
you're fucking up.
Already.
I'm like, nah, nah, you'refucking up, like you know what
(34:55):
you did.
But, yeah, like 9 out of 10.
If it wasn't for that wholeTaskmaster shit, it would have
been a perfect movie.
But uh, let's just go ahead andwrap this up.
Sebi, I do thank you for beingon this review with me and I do
thank the listener for tuning into the end.
